This is my first naruto story so I appoligize for the probably bad grammer and story. I only speak English so I will try my best at Japanese terms but the ones I don't know I will replace with english words so don't be upset at me. Also If you don't like don't read. Tips and constructive criticism are welcome and useful. I will end up going in depth with some of my favorite character and not so in depth with others. Characters like Minato, Hogoromo, Jiraiya and a few others will have a bit more dialog than other people like a certain pink haired banshee. Sorry if it's not what you imagined I couldn't remember the word and you'll know what it is when you read it.

DISCLAIMER: So before anyone does anything I DO NOT OWN NARUTO OR ANYTHING BUT THE PLOT!

Our story begins October 10, The kyūbi no yoko (nine-tailed demon fox) attacked Konogakure no sato ( Village Hidden in the Leaves) We find Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina Uzumaki with a massive claw through their chests. A few feet away from them on an alter was none other than the newly born Naruto Namikaze. He had blonde hair and blue eyes like his father, and strange wisker like markes on his cheeks in sets of three. He was crying as if he knew his parents were going to die protecting him from death.

Minato took a deep breath and said "Naruto my only son I appoligize for no longer being able to be there for you and I hope Hiruzan and Jariya will look after you and keep you strong at your week ponts" ( coughs out blood ) " I know you will grow strong and make many friends. I only wish I could be there for you. I have given you a scroll that you will receive once you are a genin that has all my jutsu and taijutsu styles. You don't have to be a shinobi or anything like that, just live a long and happy life with thoughs you care for."

Kushina then went on about the 3 ninja whataya call its about women no drinking until your 18 and be frugal with your money.

Minato then went through a chain of hand seals and said Reaper death seal! The yin half of the kyuubi when into Minato and than he took a deep breath to steady himself. Then he started another chain of handseals once he finished he shouted Eight trigrams sealing style! Then the rest of the kyuubi went into naruto.

In Naruto's mindscape

The kyuubi was about to roar in anger then suddenly he felt a sense of comfort wash over him as he looked around again and saw he was in a giant forest and not a cage like he expected. Then his eye found something interesting a small baby boy with blonde hair. When the kyuubi looked at him he thought he would get angry but he found a sense of calm looking at him. Then it hit him like a truck this kid was something special. Like a certain purple eyed sage.

Back in the real word Hiruzen just got through the barrier.

Hiruzen was snapped out of his thought by a hoarse and low voice. That voice was the barely alive Minato. Minato spoke those words with conviction those words where " Hiruzen please look after my son naruto he is the only child I will ever have and I dont want anything bad to happen to him. Give this scroll to Naruto when he becomes a genin. This other scroll is for you and you alone. Tell Jiraiya-Sensei I have passed, he will know the meaning of those words. Watch out for Naruto when I am gone, please."

While that was happening Kushina was hugging Naruto as her final breath left her naruto got her protection (a/n like garaa's sand) When she passed Naruto started crying as if he knew what was happening.

Minato looked back and went to hold his son one last time when minato realized something he should have a normal childhood not what would happen if he left it unsettled. He turned around to face Hiruzen again, his face like stone. "Tell only the most trusted people in the village about his great burden. I only want him to live a normal life not like other jinchuuriki." "I will Minato" stated Hiruzen.

Minato suddenly fell to one knee. "Ha... seems I am not long in this world. Tell Naruto I love him and he is the hero of this village not me. I hope he doesn't resent me for my actions here tonight." He looks sadly over at Naruto and a tear of sadness falls from his eye. "Goodbye my son." He then turns back to Hiruzen "Goodbye old friend." With that his eyes went cold and he died then and there.

Five hours later, leaf hospital

Hiruzen sat near a small craddel with the small bundel of one Naruto Namikaze. Hiruzen had sent word to Jiraiya almost five hours ago and he was waiting for his student to arrive. Then the door opening broke Hiruzen out of his thoughts. He looked up and saw Jariya with a sad look on his face. Hiruzen spoke first "It's been awhile Jiraiya how have you been?"

Jiraiya responded with "Well my student died less than a day ago along with Kushina and now I'm going to be looking after Naruto for a while. So it could be worse, but it could be better."

A peaceful silence fell in between the two but it was broken by the cry of young Naruto. Jiraiya walked over and picked up Naruto and started rocking him back and forth. Naruto reached up and grabbed Jiraiya's shirt and started to burry his face in it until he stoped crying. He then looked up at him with wonder in his eyes. All of a sudden he yawned and buried himself in Jiraiya's shirt and fell asleep gripping it tightly.

Four and a half years later

Jiraiya had stayed in the village since that day. Right now he was asleep with a sleeping naruto in his arms. When he woke up he looked around and remembered what happened last night

Flashback Last Night

We find little naruto holding a book on fuijutsu. Naruto learned to read nearly four months ago but some words still confused him so when that happen he would ask Jiraiya which conveniently he was always with him where every he went. Jiraiya picked him up and walked over to the couch. He sat down and then made four kage bushins (shadow clones)

to get equipment for fuinjutsu. While the clones went and got the stuff Jiraiya started reading the book to Naruto. Fifteen minutes later the clones arrived with the stuff only to find naruto asleep on Jiraiya's head.

End of Flashback

Jiraiya broke out of his thought when he felt naruto squirm in his arms for a second until he realized where he was. Naruto looked down and saw the book on the table before looking at a peice of paper and a brush. He started drawing on it and made a perfect storage seal. Jiraiya just looked at him in awe before Naruto spoke "Did I do it right tou-san?" Naruto asked. Jiraiya looked at him and spoke his voice full of pride "You did great Naruto!"

Naruto couldn't help the smile from forming on his face from the praise. He than spoke again "Can I learn to control my chuk..uh choka..um chakora?" Jiraiya smiled " I think you mean chakra." Naruto looked up at him and said " Yeah that one!" Jiraiya chuckled before saying "Why not your going to unlock it sooner or later why not now."

They walked out to the backyard and Naruto sat down beside Jiraiya in a meditative stance. Jiraiya instructed him to feel deep within your self and find a warm then tug on it and see if you unlocked it.

Naruto closed his eyes and dove deep within himself and found this warmth rather fast before tugging on it and in an explosion of chakra Naruto opened his eyes and saw that plants and trees where rapidly growing around him. He stopped looking at his surrounding area and looked for Jiraiya. When he saw his tou-san he asked "How did I do?" Jiraiya face faulted at that he than spoke with unbridled joy "That was amazing Naruto you have almost as much chakra as me and it seems you have wood release.

The Hokage's Office

"Are you sure Jiraiya?" came the bewildered voice of Hiruzen Sarutobi The Third Hokage. Jiraiya nodded and said "I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself." Hiruzen than stated "He keeps getting more and more interesting by the minute."

All of a sudden Hiashi Huuga barged with a glare on his face. He looked at the hokage and yelled "What is this I here about a plan to kill the Huuga clan." Hiruzen shook his head and said "There is no such plan, who told you this lie." Hiashi replied "It was Danzo Shimura that told me of this little scheme." Hiruzen smacked his palm into his face 'Of course it was him' Hiruzen thought. "Well I will get this sorted out just give me a few hours to do the paperwork for it and you will be good to stay with your family for now until this is sorted out." When he finished Hiashi bowed and left for his home.

So how did I do on the first chapter of this story it was fun writing this chapter and I hope to write more.Until next time Peace Out.
