A/N: I know that Cody and Rex weren't in the last chapter. But they we'll be in this story. Don't worry.

I know a lot of people have either Bail or Mon as Chancellor to which I'm find with I think they would be great Chancellor's. But given Padmè's reputation and how much influence she has over the republic that's why I decided to make her the Chancellor. I was thinking about that for a long time on who was going to be Chancellor until I thought of Padmè.

Chapter 2

Padmè didn't plan to win the election of the next Chancellor or the republic. She was half expecting Bail Organa to win. But surprisingly she one.

Padmè was currently looking through the senators to get a hold of all of Palpatine's suppers. To which Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka where helping her.

Padmè scheduled a meeting with Tarkin to see what his plans where. She well admit that she had never been fond of Tarkin ever since he accused Ahsoka for the temple bombing to which Padmè knew that wasn't Ahsoka.

Padmè looked up from her desk to see Tarkin in. Padmè could tell that he didn't want to he here. But she letted him in anyways as she did always knew that she had Anakin and even Obi-Wan if something goes wrong.

"What is he doing here?" Tarkin sneered over at Obi-Wan who was here drinking his tea that Padmè gave him. Padmè knew that Obi-Wan was here for the Council. Though normally he would come over to see Padmè and Anakin along with the Twins this time it was for the Council. While Padmè was glad that Obi-Wan was here and she knew that he was two she also knew that Obi-Wan was here on behalf of the Council as they where suspicious over Tarkin's intentions to which Padmè was to.

"I am here because the Jedi Council and myself personally are wondering what your intentions are for the republic, Tarkin." Obi-Wan answered for Padmè.

"What are your intentions for the republic, Tarkin?" Padmè question Tarkin. She didn't trust him one bit. Definitely after what he did to Ahsoka. But like anyone would do she would question him. And then send people after him.

"All good, Chancellor." Tarkin said as Padmè notice that he sneered a bit at the word Chancellor to which raised her suspicion. She could see through right through him and tell that he was acting fake. Even though Padmè herself wasn't force sensitive she was good of reading people's face expression and could tell from the way they act and look on how there feeling.

"Where you in any way in contact to Palpatine." Padmè question him. Tarkin raised an eye brow at the former Senator.

"If I remember correctly wasn't your husband in contact with Palpatine? Friends with him even? Why aren't you questioning him to?"

"Anakin was already dealt with." Obi-Wan interrupted. Padmè knew what he was thinking. About how close Sidious was getting to Anakin. She was glad that Ahsoka came just in time to save them. Padmè doesn't know what would have happen if she hadn't. But then again she probably doesn't because it could have turn out completely different and Palpatine would have won. "And besides this isn't about my former Padawan it's about you, Tarkin and your intentions to the republic."

"And what are the Jedi's?" Tarkin question Obi-Wan. "Why are you here? What is your reason being here?"

"Obi-Wan is now the Grandmaster of the Grey Jedi order incase you have forgotten." Padmè told Tarkin. "The one that he and my husband along with Ahsoka Tano who you accused of bombing the temple formed together."

Padmè wasn't sure what Tarkin was going to do next. But she was just going to go through this meeting until it is down. She's going to use her mind and be cunning as she talked through Tarkin.

"Ahh he's Ahsoka Tano how is she?" Tarkin question as he looked interested. Padmè was curious to why he was asking that question. She knew that Tarkin could care less for Ahsoka. She even knew that he wanted to have her gone during the Jedi temple bombing. And Padmè thought that he had to be a Palpatine's supporter. Padmè already made a mental note of that in her head.

"She's find." Obi-Wan snapped back. To which Padmè herself was surprised. Sure she seen Anakin frustrate before but then again that was Anakin. But the again Ahsoka is Obi-Wan's Grandpdawan/little sister figure. So Padmè couldn't blame him. And she certainly didn't stop him from using his emotions. That's what Padmè wants for the Jedi to use there emotions like her husband and that was what Padmè was trying to work with Obi-Wan for. "Why do you want to know?"

"I was just wondering." Tarkin said unsure what to say. He then looked over to Padmè herself. "But you have nothing to worry about, Chancellor Skywalker."

And with that he left. Padmè didn't give him permission to leave but she herself didn't know joe the meeting would go or end between her and Tarkin. She planned to send Ahsoka after him. She didn't know what exactly. And she does want the Jedi Council to look into it. But she can't help but wonder what Tarkin was planning. And knowing Tarkin it won't be good.

Padmè slowly looked up at Obi-Wan who seemed wanting to go after Tarkin. She didn't blame him. He did do things to Ahsoka in the pass and it does make sense he would want justice for his Grandpadawan/Sister.

"Obi-Wan you could go." Padmè finally told the new Grandmaster.

"But what about Tarkin?" Obi-Wan question as Padmè give him a smile.

"Go inform the Jedi and inform Ahsoka." Padmè said as she remembered that Ahsoka join the new Grey Jedi order.

Obi-Wan gave her a nod and then walked over to the door. "I guess I'll see you later, Padmè."

"You two, Obi-Wan." Padmè told her friend as he gave her a smile.

When Padmé got home she smiled at Anakin and the twins who where already in there crib.

"Your home. How was work?" Anakin asked as he came by his wife.

Padmè letted out a sigh. "Good besides the Tarkin problem."

"Oh yeah Obi-Wan told me about that." Anakin answered as Padmè smiled.

"He says hi." Padmè told her husband as she looked over at the twins. "To think that it could have been different if it weren't for Ahsoka."

"I would be a Sith Apprentice." Anakin said as Padmè elbow her husband.

"Now we wouldn't want that now would we?" Padmè question her husband.

"Of course not Chancellor Skywalker." Anakin teased her as Padmè letted out a laugh.

"How are the Clones?" Padmè question Anakin.

"There good." Anakin answered. "If anything Rex should become a Skywalker while Cody should become a Kenobi."

"I don't know what Obi-Wan would think about that." Padmè said knowing there friend.

"He and Cody are close." Anakin told her.

"I'm planning on sending Ahsoka to go uncover the Tarkin issue." Padmè told Anakin.

"But it's Ahsoka." Anakin said. "And don't you remember what Tarkin did to her."

"I think she would want Justice." Padmè replied. "And I to want Justice for her. And I'm pretty sure you do to."

"Don't get me wrong I do and I hate Tarkin but I'm just worried for her after everything that she's been through." Anakin explain having Padmè paused through her thoughts.

He wasn't wrong. Without Ahsoka things courtly have been worse for the Galaxy and from what Anakin made it sound like Padmè would have maybe been dead by now if it weren't for Ahsoka. Padmè smiled Ahsoka was always the person that was saving her life now wasn't she. She must have gotten that from her husband. And she knew that Ahsoka went to Mandalore. So yes Padmè knew that the now Jedi Knight had been through a lot of things. And if Ahsoka didn't want to do anything Padmè wouldn't force her to.

"I supposed your right." Padmè said as Anakin smiled knowing that he one. "But what should we do with Tarkin. We have to find out what his attentions are for the republic."

"I happen to know." Padmè heard a voice as she and Anakin turn to the door to find there good friend Bail Organa. Bail smiled at the Skywalkers and the twins babbled knowing that there uncle Bail was here.

"Bail, what a surprised. We weren't expecting you." Padmè said as she told Bail to set down to which he did.

"Yes I know it's just I found out that Tarkin plans on building a thing called the Death Star what is a gargantuan space station armed with a planet-destroying superlaser." Bail said as Anakin was shocked and Padmè letted out a gasp.

"He does not have permission to build that thing." Padmè snapped. "He must be remove from his office."

"I agree with you Senator Amidala." Bail replied. "I don't like his intentions for the republic and we don't want another war after the Separatists sign the treaty."

"Anakin go and inform Obi-Wan of this turn of events." Padmé said as Anakin looked at the twins and then back at her.

"Of course my love." Anakin said. He then turn to threepio. "Make sure there safe Threepio."

"I well Master Ani don't worry." Threepio said as Anakin mention for R2 to come along with him.

"Thank you Bail for telling me." Padmè said as she looked at her friend.

"Thank you we don't want any planets getting blown up from what it looks like." Bail said as Padmè smiled at her friend.

"We don't either bail." Was the only thing she said as she looked at the twins.
