Sorry for the error! And thanks for the reviews.

Zach POV

'What did they do to you?' When I asked that, Cammie's, no, Shade's eyes darkened. They were like a dangerous storm, hiding perilous secrets inside it. She pressed her lips together, trying to keep her memories from getting out. But the serum was too strong. And to add her disadvantages, she was drugged with painkillers.

'It's hard to tell.' She spat out after giving me a withering glare. 'They did so much to me.' I was smearing the black pen ink all across the table as she said that. What else could I do? Distracting myself had been the best option. My burner phone is recording every single thing she said. But do I want it to? There's no choice but to tag along since she snapped out the next sentence. 'Catherine tortured me, beat me, trained me to kill. I was introduced as her protege.' It was so similar to that summer. Years ago.

'And?' My voice didn't shake. I hope it didn't.

'Cyrus... he took me to missions.' A cold glint appeared in her eyes. Disgust mixed with anger filled up those blue pools of fire. 'He was the least bad. Or maybe the worst. Depends on the situation.' Cyrus Davis. One more person on my shit list. I wonder why the fuck did he marry Catherine? Guess they're both psychos. It's the only explanation.

'Did he make you kill?' Shade laughed bitterly. Her harsh laughter rang in the confinement room.

'No.' She hissed darkly. 'He didn't, never make me kill.' I was about to ask what she meant when she stopped me with a glare. 'He made me, me make the call.' I wanted to ask her more, beg her to tell me the details. However, her lips were bruised from getting bitten too hard. The temporary handcuffs were digging into her wrists, mingling with her other scars. So I dropped the subject. Mistake, I realized later.

'What about the boy, Jayson?' Something slipped past her guard. A feeling too raw for her to hide. That's when I started to fear the truth about to come for me.

'Jayson came with Cyrus. His mother died so Cyrus was taking him to his new wife, Catherine.' Someone knocked on the window. Bex was pointing at her wrist. Time was running out. 'He...' Words choked out in a tumble. 'Jayson raped me.' Nothing more than a angry whisper. And it broke me. Blood pounded at my ears. I snapped shut my phone and slammed the door open. She stared at me with a blank expression.

'Whoah, Zach!' Grant, who was talking with Bex outside the door, yelped as the door nearly hit him. 'What's wro...' He never finished because I was shoving the phone and pen into his palms. My hands were dripping black ink but I couldn't care less.

'Keep the phone.' He looked at me with a hint of frustration and exhaustion.

'Zach, I don't know what she said in there, but we're sure it's all gonna be alrigh...' I whirled around and forced him to look at me in the eye.

'Yes, you don't know. So shut the fuck up and leave me alone.' Everyone was staring at me with shock and concern. 'Listen to it.' Grant dumbly fiddled with the phone. Bex snatched it out of his hands and snapped it open. I put a lock on it, but I was certain Bex could hack it.

'What did they do to you?'

'It's hard to tell.'

'Catherine tortured me.'

'Cyrus took me to missions.'

'Jayson raped me.'

Liz let out a sob. Bex clenched her hands tightly. Grant put his hand on her shoulder.

'Damn it!' I hit the wall with my fist angrily. How could I not be mad? The wall made a satisfying creak. And my hand burned with sharp pain. The pain was welcome. It helped me concentrate.

'Zach!' Macey scolded in a high voice. 'Stop it!' We all knew she was as hurt as I was. But my heart wasn't so clever or intelligent like my head was. I yelled right back.

'How can I stop? My family just ruined her entire life! More then they did when we were at Gallagher!' Nick started to talk in a calming voice.

'They're not your family, okay?' Well Nick, they are, technically. I told him exactly that.

'They are my fucking family. Don't deny the truth.' I looked around at the circle of spies clustered around the door of a interrogation room. 'It doesn't make the truth hurt any less.' After that, I snapped open the interrogation room door. It opens with a beeping sound when it scans my hands. Shade is sitting stoically. Her impassive eyes don't show the vulnerability I saw when she told me about Jayson. That son of a bitch. I swear, when I see his sorry ass, I'd shoot him on the..

'What are you staring at?' A girl's annoyed voice interrupted my thoughts. Shade was staring at me cockily. Too bad. I knew what was behind that cockiness.

'Nothing.' I walked closer and unlocked her handcuffs. Before I let her out, she turned to look at me.

'Are you letting me go, just like this?' Do I owe you? The unspoken question saddened me. Like I said, she's not Cammie, taught to save. This girl was Shade, trained to kill and have no conscience. How red was her ledger? Did she even know that her ledger was drenched in red, like the blood she spilled?

'No.' The girl's black hair blocked her sharp glare. 'Maybe we will let you go for nothing. But I can offer you something else.' Her mouth opened in a defiant manner but I cut her off. 'You would like it.' The heated look I received was worth it when I saw the surprise in her eyes the moment I told her what I was offering.

'...Are you sure?' She asked in a disbelieving attitude.

'I'm sure. And I think the others would help.' Grant whooped and Bex put her hand on my shoulder.

'We're with you.' Nick and Macey added.

'So... You'll be working with us in exchange for your past.' Preston said warily. He seemed unsure to be with a girl who was a trained spy, the same time a dangerous and even though I hate to admit it, unstable assassin.

'As long as you tell me of my past.' Shade declared coldly. 'And don't forget that I'm an assassin.' Her sharp blue gaze scanned us. After confirming that we were not attempting to hit her behind, Shade stalked away, black (I'm still not used to it) hair swaying behind her. The others left too, Liz and Jonas mumbling something about finding a new case and contacting Abby. I dreaded the time when I had to meet my father and her girlfriend.

'I'm sorry.' I told the empty hall when nobody was there. 'I'm sorry for not protecting you.' A lone tear slowly fell down my eyes as the truth started to get to my heart. 'It's... all my fault. I'm really sorry, Cammie.' My legs gave way under me and I slid down the wall, onto the cold, hard floor.

'Please come back, Cammie.' I wanted Cammie back. Was... was she lost forever? Drowned out by Shade? A cold feeling settled inside me and I closed my eyes, dreaming of Catherine torturing Cammie. And changing her into Shade.

TOP SECRET RECORD FILE

Woman: 'You gave her the mission?'

Rembrandt: 'Of course.'

Woman: 'Did she fail?'

Rembrandt: 'Yes. The targets were better trained then we thought.'

Woman: 'Do you know where she is right now?'

'Rembrandt: Affirmative. I have eyes on her 24/7.'

Woman: 'Good. Keep watching, but do not engage. This could be a chance to get rid of them and retrieve the girl.'

Rembrandt: 'Noted. What do you plan to do?'

Woman: 'Let the girl feel safe. When her guards are down, it will be easier to get her. See if she changes back into her.'

Rembrandt: 'Your son?'

Woman: 'I'll take care of it. All you have to is to track the girl and the group.'

Rembrandt: 'Fine.'

Woman: 'You will be contacted when they are ready.'

Rembrandt: 'Oka...'

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Yeah. It's a little short this time. And the last few lines are not, NOT a mistake. A pretty easy guess to know who they are, right? Right? It was meant to be a telltale for what happens next... And to answer the reviewers.

Me: Well... Can't say yes, but won't say no either ;) This is an unplanned fic. I don't know where this is going. So, I'm welcome for suggestions! Tbh, I think (What I think is often nonsense) that she won't become herself again. The torture she went through (I'll go through it later on. Looking forward to writing it) was unimaginable and she lost her memories too. But on the other side... Zach and her friends are quite desperate. It may work. Maybe not. Thanks for telling me my story is cool. It means a lot for me :)

Fanfix2.0: For your first question... I can't tell you right now, since I'm not sure ;) And for the second question... You'll see sooner or later. Maybe you figured it out already...?

Thanks to everyone who reviewed/followed/faved!

PS. To those who left review, but didn't get an answer, I'm really sorry. I'm a middle school student, barely over 14 (In my country age. never said which country age I should be over 14 when I was signing up) and I don't have time. Worse, stuff is getting crazier here (Fuck Covid) and I'm super (And I mean it) BUSY! Okay, so... If you want a answer here, ask a question. Then, I'll probably answer. Probably. Anyway... New chapters are on the way. It may be a bit late, so PM if you think I'm TOO late. That's all I want to say!

PPS. Do you think Shatter is an appropriate title? Tell me in reviews and if it's not nice enough, tell some suggestions!

PPPS. Really sorry for the error! The font here and the font in my writing app didn't match and it went wrong. I'll try to keep the stuff right next time!

Archer, out.
