Wanda was laying in her bed staring at the blank wall. She was alone, when her parents died and her aunt and uncle, Hermione's parents, didn't want her and Pietro it was okay because she had her brother, but she didn't anymore. She was honestly, truly an orphan now with no one to love her, sure Tony told her that he was there for her and she could stay at his apartment forever if she wanted to, but she knew that he was just saying that to be nice. Wanda closed her eyes and started to cry again, she couldn't stop the crying, she wanted to, but it was no use. She was a sobbing mess and soon they would get sick of her and her uselessness and then they'd kick her to the curb and then what? She didn't know how to get into the magical world, so she'd never be able to get to Hermione and like that mattered anyway, her own cousin stopped answering her letters.

"Wanda?" There was a knock on her bedroom door and she lifted her head looking to see who it was "May I come in?"

"Hermione?" Wanda gasped, the auburn-haired woman sat up in her bed and looked wide-eyed at her brunette cousin "Oh my god..." She started to sob into her hand as the other witch came in and sat on the bed next to her, wrapping her arms around her shaking form "H-How did you know?"

"Luna sent me a letter" Hermione answered as she slowly rocked her cousin back and forth but Wanda moved back to look at her.

"I..." She inhaled deeply and tears fell from her eyes "It happened...so fast, I didn't...I wasn't even there...Pietro, he died alone"

"Clint was with him" Hermione whispered gently "Tony told me when he explained it all to me"

"But I should have been there" Wanda pressed "But I wasn't..."

"Wanda" Hermione whispered "It's okay"

Wanda and Hermione laid in Wanda's bed for a couple hours. Neither spoke, they just laid there and listened to one another breathe as Hermione thought about how to bring up going to the magical world to her and Wanda thought about why Hermione never wrote back to her. Finally, Wanda dozed off and Hermione was able to pull herself out of her bed and leave the bedroom, she was tired, but she wanted talk to Tony about the magical world before laying down. She found Tony sitting in the living room with Steve, Bruce and Jarvis sitting a little ways away. Hermione bit her lip, had Jarvis always been that attractive or was it just because she'd missed him so much?

"Hermione" Tony called her attention away from Jarvis and she felt her cheeks turn a bit red "Are you okay?"

"Y-yes" She stuttered, Jarvis lifted his icy blue eyes to her and once again the breath left her body "I'm...tired"

"Then go to bed" Tony suggested with a smile "You remember where it is, I'm sure...less you want to sleep with Jarvis, but I'd ask first"

"Funny" Hermione breathed, she prayed that no one else caught the blush that was crawling up her neck "I'll just...see you when I wake up, there is something I need to talk to you about"

"Anytime, don't rush" He answered, he watched her walk down the hallway and disappear into her bedroom and close the door "Is she acting strangely to you?"

"Stranger than normal?" Bruce asked, he nodded his head "Yes, she doesn't seem as confident as before...almost like she's overstimulated or something"

"It could be the traveling" Jarvis said from his spot "She is very tired" He stood "My scan shows no outward pain, no internal injuries either but she is suffering greatly" He walked off down the hallway to his own bedroom where he closed himself in.

Hermione's eyes opened a few times during the night as she slept. She'd look around her empty, alien bedroom and have to remind herself that she was back in New York then she'd fall asleep again. But at one point in the wee hours of the morning, at least three hours before the sun came up, Hermione opened her eyes and found a pair of icy colored eyes staring back into hers. Jarvis had been sitting on the floor watching her, his stare was unnerving, but she wasn't afraid of him. Hermione reached her hand out to touch his face but he pulled his head back and just looked at her. She was sure that he could see the rejection on her face because he hesitated in his movements and she saw a look of sadness pass over his own features then he was gone. Hermione woke up two hours later with renewed energy, she was the only person awake in the apartment, the sky was still dark, but she could see where the sun was starting to make an appearance as the horizon was a lighter blue than the rest of the sky. Even with the skyscrapers and the road down below that was already bustling, Hermione had to admit that New York really was beautiful.

"You're up early" Tony spoke from the doorway that led to the kitchen, he held out a cup of tea to her "I saw you standing there"

"And you're up...before noon, holy shit" Hermione laughed softly so as not to wake anyone else up "What are you doing up?"

"Thinking things over" He answered "I haven't been sleeping well recently"

"How are you doing?" She asked him, knowing the answer and feeling stupid for asking.

"Tired, stressed out...horny" He gave her a flirtatious smile "Care to help?"

"Sure" Hermione smiled "Want me to call Pepper?"

"Right" He scoffed, he'd forgotten that he'd told her about Pepper "She wouldn't sleep with me if I was the last man on earth"

"How are you, really?" Hermione asked him again "Honestly"

"I wasn't lying" He informed "I'm tired, bone-tired and I am stressed out, feel like a failure every time I look at Wanda or think about Pietro and I really am horny"

"Ron's mother" Hermione said "Has requested that I bring you, Wanda...the others to the magical world...would you like that?"

"Is she going to try to kill us?" Tony asked, Hermione smirked because she hadn't thought about how she was saying what she said "We did kill her son"

"She wants to help you" Hermione answered "She wants to offer a mothers support to Wanda and whatever support she can to the rest of you...including offering up the privacy that this muggle world does not"

"She doesn't know us" Tony whispered, Hermione heard his words become a little choked "We killed her son"

"I know" She answered, tears filling her own eyes "I went back with Ronald's body, I told them what happened and how he had died and...and she embraced me and wanted to know how I was doing, if you guys had been hurt" She shook her head "Molly mourned for Ronald, she cried and was angry but not at me or you or even Bruce she was mad at him for never being happy with what he had, for never trying to be more than what people thought he was and acting like the spoiled, little brat she feared that she had raised"

"I don't know..." Tony said, he looked at his hands but Hermione gripped them suddenly.

"Molly had seven children, she lost two and one barely cares for the family if he does at all...she has a lot of love to give, don't deny her the opportunity to do so" She begged.

"We'll have to talk to the others" Tony answered her, he lifted his hand to her cheek but Hermione turned her head a little bit.

"How has Jarvis been?" She asked, hoping that he'd understand that while she was probably as lonely as he was, she loved Jarvis, at least until he told her that he didn't love her anymore.

"He's been on autopilot" Tony answered, stepping back from her personal space "At first, he was much like he was before you came to us. Wanda and Nat fed him but he wouldn't allow much more, he was just...off" He sat down on the couch "Luna and Loki" She noted he still said the man's name like it were a swear word "Came to visit and Luna had a talk with Jarvis, after that he started to respond again. Trained, learned his own powers and abilities and let the girls teach him to cook and do more...domesticated jobs"

"He was in my room" Hermione informed him "I tried to touch his face and he...pulled back"

"Hermione" Tony turned from the window he'd been looking out, watching the sky take on a pink hue as the sun neared the horizon even more "We are all happy that you're here, we all missed you like mad but don't think, for even one second, that we're not mad at you"

"I..." Hermione tried to defend herself.

"You" He snapped "You, left us...turned your back on us after we protected you, after we killed for you...you claim even now that this muggle world uses us and doesn't give us a stress-free moment but isn't that what you did?" She opened her mouth, tears filling her eyes again as she thought hard for something to say to defend herself "You used us to protect you and then ran away when we did so. You were so cold and heartless to Jarvis and now you're acting so surprised that he didn't jump up and kiss you?" He scoffed, while he did Hermione could see the hurt on his face "Are you really that narcissistic?"

"I guess so" Hermione whispered, she slid down the glass door to the floor thinking about what he said. This was worse than she thought it would be, she figured they'd be hurt and maybe they'd make her tell them why she stayed away so long but this was worse. Much worse, he was pointing out what she'd done in a way that she never even considered. Now, she wanted to do what she apparently did best...runaway.

Tony looked at the witch crumpled on the floor in front of the windows and he wanted to comfort her, but he didn't, just walked away. Hermione wasn't sure how long she sat there staring at nothing but soon people started to get up. She didn't hear anything that they were saying whether it was to her or not, the voices were all garbled, wordless noise to her. The only thing that was making any sense were the words being repeated in her own voice. Saying the words that Tony had said before over and over again.

'Are you really that narcissistic?' It repeated 'Narcissistic...used us, turned your back on us...narcissistic...we killed for you...protected you...Pietro is dead...he was alone...I should have been there...come home...'

"Is she okay?" Tony asked, he came out of his room to start his day and found the witch sitting in front of the door like he'd left her. Her eyes, however, were blank, glassy and staring at nothing, her mouth was slightly parted, and she was breathing shallowly. She didn't respond to his talking to her or when he looked into her eyes, he snapped his fingers in front of her face and she never flinched that was when he got Banner.

"I don't think so" Bruce said, waving a light in her eyes "She's not responding at all" He looked from Tony to Natasha and over to Jarvis "Get Luna and is Wanda's magic working, at all?"

"You think she had something to do with this?" Tony asked.

"No" Bruce answered coldly "I think you being a grade A asshole had something to do with this, she may be able to coax her out"

"What did you do?!" Jarvis snarled as he seized the other man by his shirt.

"What happened?" Luna asked as she and Loki walked in.

"I think..." Banner looked at her with a shrug "I think she had a mental break"

"Oh god" Luna looked into Hermione's eyes "I've got to Floo someone, Tony is your fireplace still hooked up?"

"Yes, who are you calling?" He asked.

"Severus Snape, he may have a potion that'll help her" Luna answered.
