After a long day of school, Aang was exhausted. He slung his orange and black backpack over his shoulders and put his orange hoodie up. It was a nice day outside, there were no clouds, birds chirping and the temperature felt just right. However, something didn't feel right. His girlfriend Katara, who he has been dating for a few months, was nowhere to be seen today at school. Katara was very beautiful, her eyes were like the ocean, her chocolate wavy hair was a compliment to her voluptuous frame. She always wore a necklace, presumably a family heirloom, because there was a bright baby blue pendant in the middle. Her mom had passed away from a car accident while going to work. She was heart broken, and it had left a hole in her heart. They have had a rocky relationship when they first dated. Katara was very hot-headed, while Aang was calm and collected. They always had pointless arguments that exploded into a yelling match. Of course Aang thought all relationships went through this, but for Katara, she was very unhappy. Aang quickly discarded his thoughts to the back of his mind and walked through the school parking lot.

"Zuko didn't even show up either today, that's weird" Aang thought to himself.

He got into his car, a gift from his Uncle Gyatso, and drove off towards Zuko's house, worrying what happened to him. Aang and Zuko were best friends since the 5th grade. His father Ozai was in jail because he was found abusing Zuko and Azula, that left Zuko with a scar on his left eye when he was in 4th grade. His mother Ursa, had fled from them when he was little because she didn't want to deal with Ozai anymore. Zuko was devastated that his mother left them without saying anything. He didn't want his sister and him to deal with their abusive father. Ever since Ozai was in custody, his uncle Iroh had took them with open arms and treated them like his own children. Zuko greatly appreciated his uncle for caring for them and giving them the love his father never gave them. He never understood why his mother left, and that mystery still loomed on till this day.

Aang pulled up near Zuko's house, but noticed that Katara's car was in his driveway. He ignored the dreadful feeling inside his heart. Ever since they had these arguments, Katara and Zuko had become closer. Of course, he never questioned them because they were best friends anyway, so he had no worries. But still, he had a bad feeling in his gut that they were somehow interested in each other. He quickly removed these negative thoughts and walked up towards the window near Zuko's front door. He, however, saw something that would shatter his heart. Zuko, his best friend since 5th grade, kissing Katara, his love, although he would never admit to her. Tears splattered down his silver eyes and a gasp came out of his mouth. Katara broke away from the kiss when she noticed Aang, staring at them, tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Aang, It's not what it looks like!" Katara shouted.

Aang quickly left and sprinted towards his car and got in. He drove away as fast as he could, not caring how fast he was going. How could he believe that a beautiful girl would be his forever? "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid," he muttered to himself, while lightly punching his head. His eyes was blurred from the tears and quickly wiped them away, he drove away, towards his house and is unaware of another heartbreak happening in his crumbling friend group.
