'It's been a while,' The strawberry blonde said, tapping her newly done nails onto the wooden table, 'I'm surprised you asked me here.'

'Well, we heard you were in town, and we decided there was no shame in catching up with old friends,'

The strawberry blonde narrowed her eyes at the platinum blonde, with dark rings around her eyes. Satisfied with her intentions, she relaxed a little in her chair and took a large gulp of her tropical smoothie.

'So, you know what we've been up to, but what about you?' The brunette asked, a curious gaze in her eyes. She hadn't been surprised when she heard she'd switched to journalism after her directing career failed spectacularly. The brunette was nosy in nature, and while it was more than annoying at times, she couldn't deny that it made her pretty great at her job.

'Nothing much, just a few jobs here and there.' Juliet answered

The brunette's eyebrows shot up.

'It's a secret.'

The platinum blonde scoffed, 'Yeah right. Everyone knows you're an aspiring politician. You should've seen the look on Nate's face when he found out.'

The brunette frowned, 'Wait, how do you know?'

'Instagram, of course, how else?' Juliet rolled her eyes playfully, 'Gosh Vanessa, you really need to start showing more initiative, Jenny's carrying you on this thing.'

Vanessa cracked a small smile, 'Oh shut up. That's rich coming from the person who turned into a stuttering mess the moment a security guard at Walmart pulled you back.'

'Touche.'

'What did that guy want anyway?' Jenny asked, twirling a strand of hair around her finger.

'My number of course, what else?' Juliet raised her eyebrows suggestively, 'I turned him down though, he wasn't my type.'

'You mean old, middle-aged dude with kids who's probably still crying about his divorce?' Jenny said.

'No that's your type.'

'Excuse me?'

'She's not wrong though. Come on, Jenny, there was Nate, then Damian…' Vanessa started listing off.

'Hey, they don't even fit in the criteria!'

'Then why'd you date them?' Juliet smirked.

'You both suck.'

'You know you love me, XOXO Gossip Girl.'

Both Jenny and Vanessa rolled their eyes at Juliet. Any mention of Gossip Girl made them cringe, with both girls having negative experiences with the website. When Dan said Jenny was in on it and knew he was Gossip Girl since day one, he was lying. Jenny still had a small grudge on him for it.

'How is the asshole anyway?' Vanessa asked, peering through her sunglasses and going into journalist mode once again.

'He's getting married to his 'dream girl' in a month's time.'

Juliet widened her eyes, 'Even after all he did? Wow, Serena's an idiot.'

'You're not wrong there,' Vanessa said, taking a sip from her latte.

Jenny rolled her eyes at them, trying to fight a smile,

'You know, they even invited Scott, but apparently, he wasn't comfortable coming to the wedding. He didn't say why though.'

'You mean he wasn't comfortable seeing his brother and sister get married to each other?' Vanessa snorted, 'I don't blame him.'

Jenny spat out her drink, laughing. Their table received a few dirty looks, but she ignored them, grabbing a few napkins to soak up as much liquid as possible.

Juliet frowned, confused, 'Wait a minute, who's Scott?'

'It's a long story.' Vanessa said. Jenny nodded with her, not being bothered to explain how Serena managed to have half-siblings from more than just one parent.

'We completely messed up 7...ish years ago, but here we are, and we're still standing,' Jenny raised her glass into the air, 'To Team Brooklyn.'

'To Team Brooklyn.' Vanessa agreed.

'You guys do realise I'm not even from New York.'

'Shut up.'

AN:

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this story! I've always found myself rooting for Vanessa and Jenny (most of the time), and there weren't enough stories about them around so I decided to make one. I also have a bit of a soft spot of Juliet, and seeing as she was involved in the scheme to take down Serena, I naturally had to include her.
