Hello everyone, Dragon here to welcome you too my fanfic. Of course I own nothing in this fanfic except for the character I have made and her AU she lives in. This story will follow two arcs. The first will be Year 1-3 or possibly four depending on how I see the story going once I get closer to that point, as I have a outline for year one and a rough one for year two so far. This first arc will be rated T for now as I don't expect their to be any thing too bad to warrant an M rating though I always might change it. I do plan on the second arc, which will be a separate fanfic, to be rated M.

This will be a sister in slytherin story but of course be much different with the AU that it resides in from other stories. It will feature much politics throughout it so if that's not your kind of story then just don't read no hard feelings :) This first chapter is mainly an intro and is shorter than what I plan on furute ones to be. I plan on releasing a chapter every week to two weeks that will range depending on my schedule from 6k to 10k words.

Anyways I hope my story can bring some light in these gloomy times and wish you all a great day!

The Headmasters office at Hogwarts was currently seating more people than it had in probably the last decade. Every Hogwarts Professor was present, along with many friends and close acquaintances of Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore himself was currently holding the latest issue of the daily profit in his hands and reading the report.

MORE MUGGLE BORN WITCHES AMD WIZARDS LOSE THEIR MAGIC AND MEMORY.

"Albus, action needs to be taken, the conservative blood supremacist and minister Fudge have made it clear they have no intention of getting involved!" Shouted a worried looking Mcgonagall.

Everyone in the room seemed to nod and agree with the woman's statement, reports like these had been coming out for the past year now, and had only been growing in numbers. Muggle born magic users had been going missing, only to be found later residing in the muggle world with no memory of their magical past and losing their ability to perform magic.

"And might I ask what can we do? The reason the ministry doesn't act is because they are as clueless as we are. No one has claimed responsibility for these attacks and I doubt they will." Said a voice from the back of the room next to the entrance.

Everyone turned to watch as Severus Snape slowly made his way forward and looked around at each of their faces. "Do I have to remind you all that the ministry assigned a task force to research this and after six months they found nothing?" He stated with a bored expression on his face.

A tired looking Professor Flitwick looked up at the greasy haired man before starting to speak

"Yes we've heard this many times Severus, and as always..."

"And as always you don't listen to me." Snape interrupted before turning to face Dumbledore. "Headmaster I assure you from my connections in the conservative side of the ministry that I have heard that no one knows who or what this threat is coming from." He said while turning to head back to his corner of the room.

Albus sighed before placing the paper down and facing everyone else in the room. "As our defense Professor states, not even anyone in the ministry knows who is causing this because they've chosen to remain anonymous for the large part. That is why I have deci-"

Before Dumbledore could speak anymore a sudden streak of red hair came through the crowd of teachers as Lilly Potter slammed her fists on the table. "Headmaster with all due respect muggleborns are living in fear right now, I'm living in fear right now! It's bad enough we have a conservative leaning ministry but now we have this!" She yelled as she picked up the paper and held it up high.

Dumbledore let a small smile cross his face as he looked up at the angry Potter before chuckling. "Well if you would have let me finish, it is true that no one in the ministry knows who is doing this, but that doesn't mean it is right to stand by and let it continue."

The Headmaster suddenly stood from his seat which caused most of everyone in the room to take a step back in surprise. The Headmaster gave one last look around before clearing his throat.

"It is with great thought that I have called you all here today to announce the formation of a group, an order, to counter act and find who is responsible for these recent events. No wizard or witch should have to live in fear for being born a certain way. That is why today I announce the formation of the order of the Phoenix."

The Wizarding world had seen a time of peace wash over it since the defeat of Grindlewald at the hands of Albus Dumbledore. Many feared that the ashes left over from the war would lead to another conflict in the future, but it was not to be.

A young boy had the ambition and drive to maybe cause this war many feared. Fortunately he could not tame the dark powers he sought to control and tore his body and soul into oblivion.

Many saw this time of peace and the lessons they learned from the war as a chance to truly change the politics and culture of the Wizarding world. Some countries were more successful than others in achieving this goal.

In Magical Britain the pure blooded families were able to recover and rebuild with the absence of another Wizarding war. Many expanded their monetary and political control over the Ministry and Wizarding society.

The ministry had been in the conservative pure blooded hands for around two decades now, and with the election of Fudge, a minister who was easily controlled and manipulated, they had only furthered their control.

Still, the opposition to them had been large enough that they hadn't been able get everything they wanted passed, which had mainly been laws that restricted the rights of muggle and mixed blood children.

But the Wizarding community in England had surely changed since they came into power and laws had been able to get through that accomplished some of what they desired.

The past year would start to change the Wizarding world even further. It all started as simple rumors at first, obscure muggle witches and wizards going missing, or families reporting they hadn't heard from certain relatives in a while. At first the conservative government paid little attention, but they couldn't forever.

When witches and wizards started to be found in the muggle world, it all changed. They had no memory at all of the Wizarding world or their time spent in it, and they all had lost their ability to use magic. Even the best magical healers couldn't revert them to how they were before, and their memory was beyond saving.

Accusations have flown like wild for who is responsible, the more liberal leaning members of the ministry have accused the many blood supremacist families and conservative court members of having to do something with it. While the conservatives have accused the liberals of being behind it to somehow kick the conservatives and old families out of power.

Still, no party or person knows who is behind these events, but the outcry for something to be done has only grown louder and louder. The magical community in Britain has found their peace disturbed, and fears of a war they thought they had avoided are once again on the horizon.

But that is not where this story starts, no, this story starts with a small witch who is only ten. She has the brightest green eyes the world has possibly seen and dark black hair with thick curls. She loves to read and write, and don't get her started on fashion or you'll be forced to hear about all the different clothing stores around magical Europe. This story starts with Lucy, Lucy Potter.

The Potter Estate was quiet this morning, like it always was. The Lord and lady Potter had not yet awaken from their sleep, as they had both been at Hogwarts late last night for their meeting with Albus Dumbledore. The house elves were hard at work, but you of course could not hear or see them as they quietly made their way through the house preparing for their masters to awake.

Little did either of these parties realize that another pair were currently awake and hard at work. In the potter Library the Potter twins were hard at work, or at least one was.

"Harry you're a boy this should be easy with how much quidditch you play." Lucy half yelled half whispered as she stood on the shoulders of her brother trying to reach out to a shelf she wanted to reach.

The other Potter twin merely gave a grunt before speaking. "Sis, how much do you eat? I don't know how you fit into all those fancy robes you buy."

A sudden crash echoed through the house as Lucy took her foot to stomp on her brother before loosing her balance and causing the books she was grabbing to fall on to her and Harry.

Lucy let out a sharp cry of pain as she hit her head on the floor. Harry hadn't fared much better with him getting his sisters feet and legs in his face as they fell.

"You'd stupid prat you should have held on!" Lucy cried as she desperately rubbed the back of her head looking for some relief from the now growing head ache she had.

"Held on! You're the one who lifted your foot!" Harry said in retaliation as he slowly got himself up and looked at the mess his sister was in the middle of. About ten or so books lay sprawled around her and across her body. The two could only hope the magical protections on the books still were in place and the books were not damaged.

As Harry began to help Lucy up a sudden crack was heard in the room before the family house elf Glittzy could be seen with her wide hazel eyes glowing in horror.

"Oh Glittzy has been a bad elf! Let the young heirs hurt themselves she has! Bad Glittzy!" she wailed as she began to stomp around upset with what she saw as her failure. "And Ohhhhhh! The potter books! Glittzy has allowed them to be possibly damaged!"

The two younger Potter's quickly ran over to the elf and put their hands over her mouth as she continued to let out muffled wails and cry's. "Now Glittzy if you help us no one has to know! You'll be the best elf! As you always have." Lucy said quietly into the elf's ear trying to calm her down.

"What she said Glittzy, come on Mum and Dad don't need to know." Harry said backing his sister up as they both watched the elf's eyes begin to calm down and her wails subside.

As the two took away their hands the small elf gave a grin before looking between the two. "Young Master and Mistress always have been so smart, Glittzy always known it! Lord and lady don't need to know!" The elf said before snapping her fingers.

The books that had been on the floor began to slowly lift into the air and flap about like birds. Harry and Lucy watched in wonder as the books one by one made their way back on to the shelf and sorted themselves accordingly.

The sound of footsteps from above caused the three to look at each other and grin. "Just in time too." Glittzy said before snapping her fingers and disappearing with a crackling noise.

The two potter twins both let out a sigh of relief before quickly looking between each other and laughing. Lucy slowly made her way to a couch and produced a book from her robe to read. She had the robe custom made to magically hold books in a little pouch inside. When ever she wanted she could take and put a book inside to read.

The current one she had was fascinating, it was a beginners guide to potion making and went over all the basics you needed to know in terminology and theory for a young witch or wizard. It was still very basic though and Lucy couldn't wait to go shopping for her first year potion book for Hogwarts.

Her mother and father had promised to take her and Harry shopping on their birthday, which was now only a week away. Their Hogwarts letters were expected to come in today from what their mother had told them. Lucy was practically bouncing off the walls each day in excitement, while Harry just rattled on each day about joining the Hogwarts quidditch team, much to their fathers delight.

Speaking of the man of the house, Lucy watched as he slowly made his way down the stairs next to the library and without even checking said, "Good morning My sweetest Lucy." To which she always responded, "Good morning my tiredly father."

James Potter himself still looked much like he did when he was younger. His hair had thinned out a little over the years and he looked always just a little tired and under the weather, but that's what being an auror did to you.

Lucy knew her fathers work was hard, most of the days he was gone up until the wee hours of the night. With everything going on right now his work was especially hard so Lucy and Harry always made sure they were by the door when he got home to help him.

He was currently doing his daily ritual of going down to get a cup of coffee and sit outside, which Lucy never interrupted. Patiently Lucy tapped her feet together and waited for the Lady of the house to find her way down stairs.

Her wish was granted when she saw the tall red haired woman in her morning robe slowly make her way down the stairs. Before Lilly Potter had a chance to process what was happening she found herself looking down at young Lucy who had attached herself to her mothers side.

"Good morning mother, you don't have to go in to work today right? We can have a girls day today and go shopping for books? I know you need more potion supplies." Lucy said as her words came out at a speed that was too fast for the tired red haired witch to understand.

"Lucy, Lucy dear. You know I told you Dumbledore wants me in all week." Lily said as she reached down and pried Lucy off her. "Besides, we will do plenty of shopping on your birthday like I've said."

"I know but that's so far, I've already read my beginners potion book two times, I want the first year one now." Lucy said while putting on the best frown she could for her mother which only earned her a roll of eyes.

"You expect there to be some flood of knowledge from that book but it's only your first year one dear." Lily said as she began to make her way down to the first floor.

Lucy wanting the discussion to keep going followed her mother closely so she could keep up on the attack. "Yes I know, you've told me many times, but it has actual recipes in it, like actual recipes! Then I can learn and become as good as you mom." She said before hopping down the last step to stand in front of her mother.

She watched as the older witch quietly tapped her fingers on her chin as if in deep thought before smiling. "Nope, but on your birthday you will my love."

Lucy let out a large sigh before following her mother to the kitchen where breakfast had already been layed out by the house elves. Harry seemed to be reading some sort of broom catalog while shoving eggs in his mouth with no care of manners.

"Mother I refuse to eat at a table where animals are also fed." Lucy said while making a plate for herself. Her mother quickly looked up and saw Harry completely miss his mouth with his eggs and instead drop them on the table.

"Lucy don't call your brother an animal, and Harry, stop eating like an animal!" She quickly snapped before turning back to a pot of tea that she was boiling.

Quite pleased with herself Lucy sat across from her brother who sent her a glare. "Snot face." He said quietly under his breath while taking a sip of pumpkin juice.

"At least I got a brain, troll." Lucy snapped back before stabbing her ham to eat.

Breakfast continued with little interruption. James eventually came back inside and gave his wife a kiss before heading out to the ministry.

"Oh come on, can't I come with you dad! Don't make me be alone with her!" Harry said before shooting his sister a mischievous smirk.

Eventually mail flew in and was dropped into the lap of their mother who looked up at the two with a wide smile. "Look what's come in you two!" She said before tossing two identical letters in the middle of the table.

Both potter twins reached out madly for their letters and proceeded to dig into them and pull out the small slips of parchment that laid inside.

A sparkle lit in Lucy's eyes as she read the contents of the letter and the list that followed after it, this is what she had been waiting for her whole life, and she could see a similar look in her brothers eye.

Their mother tried to look supportive for the two and happy, but couldn't shake the feeling of dread that she felt when she looked down at the daily prophet. Listed on the front page were 20 muggle born witch's and wizards names that had gone missing the past week.
