"Bakugan, brawl!" = Regular Speech

'There's Grimm everywhere!' = Someone's Thoughts

"Gate Card, open!" = Someone Yelling

"My whole life changed one day when all these random cards started raining down everywhere."

A glowing green card landed in a child's outstretched hands. The light faded away to show that the card is black, or maybe gunmetal gray, and it has several symbols in different colored circles. The colors being red, brown, a very light yellow, black, blue, and green. To the trained eye one might say that they resemble six different elemental energies.

"At first they seemed harmless enough, so a bunch of us kids invented this cool new game."

Later on, two marbles of different colorations rolled onto a card and popped open. One marble was brown with orange markings, the other a very light gray, almost white, with gold markings. In flashes of orange and gold light they both transformed into mighty creatures! One of them was a falcon with a humanoid body, the other was a humanoid with monstrously large hands and claws. But this isn't isolated to just them. There was a large blue turtle, a green flying creature, and a red serpent doing battle with a black scorpion creature.

"That's when we realized those cards weren't so harmless after all! They were packed with incredible power from another world!"

People around the blonde boy's age, about sixteen to seventeen years old, started appearing in various poses as they were each placed into headshots on the screen. Starting with a young man with messy brown hair, red eyes, and white skin that's lightly tanned. He's wearing an ensemble that consists of a short red overcoat with black pockets over a bright yellow sleeveless shirt. He wears hexagonal shaped goggles in his hair above his eyes. He wears long red trousers with black stripes just below his knees, the ends of which are neatly tucked into his blue-tongued black sneakers. He keeps his Bakugan Gear on his belt. Lastly, he wore blue fingerless gloves. The left glove was longer and he wore an orange colored device called a BakuPod on his left wrist.

"My name is Dan, and together with my friends, Runo…"

Runo's outfit is a yellow midriff shirt and a white skirt with a pink belt. She has maroon fingerless wrist gloves. She also has orange and white striped knee socks and brown shoes. Her cyan blue hair is tied in two long pigtails.

"Marucho…"

Next to be shown is a boy who appears to be the youngest of the group. About twelve years old. Maybe thirteen. Though he's pretty short for his age and would only reach you to the average man's hips in terms of height. He has blonde hair that's a bit more on the platinum blonde side of the color spectrum rather than golden blonde, and blue eyes. He wears a simple white T-shirt with blue trim on the neck and sleeves, a pair of blue cargo shorts, as well as a pair of sneakers. He also seems to have trouble with his eyesight as he wears eyeglasses with red rims.

"Julie…"

The second girl of the group wears a sleeveless pink shirt with a yellow heart that shows off her midriff with a yellow heart on the chest and a darker pink turtleneck collar, pink shorts that stop above her knees, and white boots and gloves. Her skin is brown, either naturally or from living in a warmer environment, and her naturally silvery white hair is done up in a long ponytail.

"Not to mention Mister Hot Shot himself, Shun…"

Shun's outfit is a blue shirt, covered with a thin purple shirt with a triangular-backed ending. He has black pants with brown zipper-like designs around them. His black hair consists of two layers. The first layer of hair is the front all one his forehead, and his second layer is the straight hair tied up in a ponytail. His light brown eyes are in an upset mood. All in all, he looks like somebody's depiction of a ninja.

"And Alice…"

Alice's attire is a yellow dress with white shorts, a green blouse, and small boots colored white and green. Her hair is ginger orange and she has hazel eyes. As a natural beauty, she frequently attracts the attention of boys.

"We are… The Bakugan Battle Brawlers! Bakugan: one goal, two worlds!"

The Bakugan Battle Brawlers In… The Silent Orb & A New Brawler!

In the Core of Vestroia, the home of a race of powerful sentient organisms known as the Bakugan, the Silent Core continued to spread its negative energy. Now normally, the negatively charged energy of the Silent Core would be balanced out by the positive, life giving energy of the Infinity Core, thus maintaining balance within the six realms of Vestroia. The realms that embody the six elemental powers of the Bakugan. Fire, Earth, Light, Darkness, Water, and Wind. Otherwise known as Pyrus, Subterra, Haos, Darkus, Aquos, and Ventus.

But ever since Naga, a rogue Bakugan attempted to take the two cores of Vestroia for himself and ended up being absorbed by the Silent Core, this is not the case. The Infinity Core is lost to Vestroia, and only the Ultimate Bakugan can possibly hope to retrieve it.

But that is neither here nor there.

A mighty roar was heard from within the Silent Core as energy was shot out in an electric burst. The energy condensed within the hand of Naga's most loyal henchmen, Hal-G. For lack of a better description, Hal-G looks like an elderly troll with lavender hair sweeping upwards from his bald head, red-tinted sunglasses, and wearing a blue suit and cape.

After several tense moments, neither making any sudden movements lest they destabilize the energy, the power condensed into what appears to be a smaller version of the Silent Core. Hal-G sighed and smiled an evil smirk as he said...

"Finally, the Silent Orb is complete! Now, all Bakugan will bow to me!"

And like all stereotypical villains with no real personality, he began cackling like a maniac at the prospect of enslaving an entire race.

Meanwhile, In The Doom Dimension...

The Doom Dimension…

It is a terrible place full of suffering for every Bakugan that finds itself unlucky enough to end up there. Most of the time, a Bakugan will find itself turned to stone. Petrified, these poor Bakugan are unable to move, breathe, or interact with the world. Time becomes all but meaningless to them as they are unable to perceive it anymore.

But as we happen upon the petrified form of a fallen Falconeer Bakugan, a red light rises up from the Bakugan and flies up into the sky. And it isn't just from Falconeer. These strange light orbs are riding up from many other Bakugan as well. Bakugan such as Juggernoid, Wormquake, Centipoid, Warius, Monarus, and even the occasional Hynoid. Each orb is the color of that Bakugan's respective attribute alignment. Pyrus, Aquos, Subterra, Haos, Ventus, and Darkus. And with each orb that was released, a scream full of absolute hatred rose with it. These orbs of light went on to form a collective above the imprisoned Bakugan of the Doom Dimension.

Almost as if… something was growing within it.

With a mighty roar, the light dissipated to reveal a new Bakugan of incredible power! In the form of a dragon! The beast roared as it flew upwards to breach the dimensional barrier, seeking out something.

Sometime Later, on Remnant...

"No way! I wasn't making fun of you guys!"

In one of Vale's many parks, three young men are seen by the fountain. But this is anything but a simple social gathering. No, two of these boys are hanging up on the other the way bullies often do to those they deem as weaker than themselves. The first two are known simply as Shuji and Akira. A pair of brothers.

Shuji is a heavyset young man who is currently in his casual clothes which consist of a T-shirt, vest, cargo shorts, and sneakers. All of which are in varying shades of brown and yellow. He's got short brown hair, brown eyes, and his skin had a slight tan.

Akira is the shorter and younger of the two brothers, and also his opposite in terms of appearance. Akira is quite the skinny little fellow with messy reddish hair that he keeps under a white & blue, backwards facing baseball cap, brown eyes, freckles, and buck teeth that often poke out from his upper lip. He wears a green T-shirt with yellow rectangles going down the front, blue cargo shorts, and a pair of sneakers.

Both bullies are currently harassing Beacon Academy's resident "Dork Knight", Jaune Arc. Now Jaune is about as tall as your average seventeen years old young man, but he's a little on the scrawny side due to his parents not training him as a Huntsman. He never even had his Aura unlocked until very recently. Normally he wears a very simple and comfortable ensemble underneath his white training armor, usually consisting of a shirt, a pair of blue jeans held up by a brown belt, a pair of sneakers with the words 'right' and 'left' written on the soles, and a black hoodie with a rabbit character on it. But ever since he started playing Bakugan, he figured he might as well look the part. He now wears a short sleeved red GI top with black trim, a pair of black pants made of the same material, and white sneakers with red stripes outlined in black. He also wears red fingerless gloves and an orange Baku-Pod on his wrist.

"Admit it, punk! You were making fun of the way I battle! Right Akira?" Shuji said with an arrogant smirk on his face.

"That's what I heard. What's your problem, kid?" Akira asked, looking equally arrogant.

"Nothing! I just like Bakugan…" replied Jaune.

His eyes were scanning for any form of escape from these bullying bozos. He deals with this kind of stuff enough at Beacon, what with what Cardin pulled recently. But then, when he was going clothes shopping for his new hunter gear & Brawler clothes, these two show up and corner him at the park. Shuji and his brother Akira are exchange students from Vacuo like Sun and Neptune, but they're considered the weakest at the school. Still, Jaune knows that even Vacuo's weakest are stronger than he is.

"Well so do I and I'm gonna show you how it's played!" Shuji gloated.

"But… But I'm new at Bakugan. I don't even know all the rules yet." stuttered Jaune.

But clearly, Shuji doesn't care. Hey, what else do you expect from a simpleminded bully? That's what they do.

"Well you're about to learn… The hard way!" he gloated again.

"Back off, Shuji!"

The new voice caught everyone's attention. Especially that of Jaune, who heard this voice many times on the net. It was none other than Dan Kuso of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers. And riding on his shoulder is his Guardian Bakugan and best friend, Pyrus Dragonoid. Just call him Drago.

"Huh? Dan? This is none of YOUR business! Get lost!" demanded Shuji.

"Hey kid. What's going on?" Dan asked while ignoring the bully.

Needless to say, Jaune was psyched at meeting one of his all-time heroes in person like this. Dan and the other Brawlers are the entire reason Jaune started playing Bakugan. He chose to become a Pyrus Attribute brawler, as reflected by the colors of his clothes.

"Whoa! Dan from the Bakugan Battle Brawlers! You're all over the net!" exclaimed Jaune.

"So, you need any help?" asked Dan.

"Are you serious?! That would be awesome!" Jaune said, readily accepting the offer.

"No problem. I'll show you some of my old tricks... And if you're lucky, I won't even charge ya!" Dan said whilst making a joke.

The four held up a single card, and…

"Bakugan Field… open!"

The magic happened!

The four cards began to glow with the light of their respective elements, Pyrus for Dan and Jaune, Subterra for Shuji and Akira, as the energy of the cards transported them to a special world where Bakugan can safely assume their true forms and do battle without fear of civilians getting caught in the crossfire. The dimension is a vast expanse of white all along the ground while the six dimensions of Vestroia swirled in the sky.

Upon arriving in this dimension, the players agreed on the terms of the battle. While battles are normally fought with three Bakugan per player, both Jaune and Shuji are a little pressed for time before they have to get back to Beacon for curfew. So they decided to have a one on one battle this time. This way they can have their battle and still get back in time not to get detention from 'Glynda the Mad Witch'.

That's what Team CRDL has been calling her whenever she gives them detention due to her rather physically taxing punishments such as reorganizing bookshelves, or scraping all of the gum off from under the desks and chairs. Other students call her that because of her hardened glare and the constant scowl she is often seen with. It makes her appear as though she's always angry.

And to Jaune, that just seems unhealthy.

Back to the match!

"Sit back and watch the show, Akira. I got this in the bag." Shuji said.

"Right, bro!" Akira said as he stepped back.

"So, kid. Think you can take him?" Dan asked.

Jaune gave a confident smirk as he stepped forward. He may not be the best hunter around just yet, and he may never be, but he's confident that he can take down a bully in a Bakugan battle. After taking down that Ursa by himself recently, his confidence in his skills has certainly grown some.

"Oh yeah! I got this, Dan. And my name's not 'kid', it's Jaune."

"Gate Card… set!"

Both players threw a card onto the ground in front of them. Each card landed opposite to each other before glowing with their respective elemental power and expanding to become giant sized. Shuji, the arrogant fool, reached to his belt and took a Bakugan out of his clip.

"I'll show you how to REALLY battle! Bakugan… brawl!"

With a toss from his beefy arm, Shuji tossed his Bakugan with enough strength to make it land on a Gate Card. Jaune's Gate Card, to be exact.

"Bakugan, stand! Subterra Fear Ripper!"

The Bakugan popped open to reveal that it resembles some sort of creature with abnormally large hands. It's eyes lit up and in a flash of brownish orange light, the Bakugan revealed its true form. A humanoid that's covered in bladed armor with a tri-horned crest on his head. His hands are very, very large and are armed with pointed claws that are perfect for shredding the enemy to bits! Naturally, being a Subterra Bakugan, this Fear Ripper is mostly brown as a base for its color scheme with tan and orange in varying places on its body.

Checking his Baku-Pod, the computerized voice read aloud the stats of his opponent while the screen showed every other detail.

"Subterra Fear Ripper enters battle. Current battle strength at 380G."

"Okay, that was pretty impressive. But now it's my turn!" Jaune said as he took out a Bakugan. "Bakugan… brawl!"

With the skill of a Little League Baseball player, Jaune threw his Bakugan with flawless accuracy making it land on his Gate Card. Right where Fear Ripper is.

"Bakugan, stand! Pyrus Serpenoid!"

Jaune's Bakugan opened up to reveal a form similar to a snake. Just like Shuji's Fear Ripper, the new Bakugan known as Serpenoid was engulfed in a flash of fiery red light before its true form was revealed. A snake-like Bakugan with a very long body that's protected by a scaly armor and packed with powerful muscles, much like any other snake, fin-like appendages on the sides of its head, and a stinger at the end of its tail. Serpenoid hissed as it stared down Fear Ripper.

"Pyrus Serpenoid enters battle at 320G."

"Ha! With a wimpy power level like that, you'll never win this battle!" gloated Shuji.

"Yeah, bro's got this in the bag!" Akira said in agreement.

But Jaune wasn't deterred.

"I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch." Jaune said as he raised his hand and snapped his fingers. "Gate card, open! Character!"

The card beneath the two Bakugan started glowing before it was revealed to be a card with an image of Serpenoid on it. This is what's known in Bakugan as a character card, and they're excellent Gate Cards that give your Bakugan a serious edge in battle. As proven by how Serpenoid's body started glowing with a very familiar red light.

"Since this is Serpenoid's character card, his power surges." Jaune explained.

Not that he really needed to, as it is pretty self-explanatory.

"Pyrus Serpenoid power level increase by 360Gs detected! Power level now at 680Gs."

"Look who's teaching who now!" Jaune said as he took his turn to gloat.

The bully could only watch helplessly as his Fear Ripper attempted to rip Serpenoid apart, but the powered up Bakugan was too strong and agile for him. Serpenoid coiled his body to dodge Fear Ripper's deadly claws before looping his coils around the Subterra Bakugan. Like an Anaconda coiling a capybara, Serpenoid proceeded to constrict his foe. This kept on for a tense moment before Fear Ripper was defeated, turned back into energy, and reverted back to his ball form. Upon defeating his enemy, Serpenoid was also reverted to energy as both Bakugan were propelled back to their owners.

"That's my skills talking!" cheered Jaune.

In victory, Jaune caught his Bakugan. But Shuji could only watch in disbelief as his Bakugan landed on the ground and slowly rolled to his feet. The field vanished as the group of four were transported back home. Needless to say, not everyone was happy with the results.

"How… How did you beat my brother?..." asked a shocked and disbelieving Akira.

"This isn't finished, kid! Just wait until next time! You'll be sorry! And he didn't beat me, Akira. I… I let him win!" Shuji said in denial.

And so, the two bullies ran away with their tails between their legs like the cowards they truly are.

"Nice job! You rocked!" Dan said as he gave Jaune a pat on the back. "A little more practice and who knows, we could end up as partners in a brawl someday."

"That would be awesome! But… I'm just a beginner. To be a real great brawler, I need a wicked Bakugan. Something like Drago." Jaune said.

He's seen Dan and Drago fight in battles that were recorded and put online. When they battle, they're so in sync with each other. As if they have a single mind, and can read each other's thoughts. Anticipate their next move, and use it to turn the tide of battle.

"Hmm… I see what you mean. It's real important to have a tight relationship with your Bakugan." Dan hummed in thought as he conceded to Jaune's logic.

"Anyway, thanks Dan." Jaune said with a grateful bow.

Dan just chuckled and waved off the bow, never being one for serious formalities. Don't get me wrong, it's not that he doesn't have any manners. He just has a very easy-going personality, but is fiercely loyal and protective of his friends and family. And as such, he doesn't care much for formalities, especially if it involves something like bowing.

"Gotta roll! Catch you later, buddy, and good luck!" Dan said as he left the park.

Looking to the sky, Jaune sighed as he reflected on everything that's happened. Ever since Cardin revealed how he used false transcripts to get into Beacon, and out of sheer jealousy no less, most of the student body turned against him and we're calling for his blood. The only ones whose opinions of him haven't changed are Ruby, her sister, Yang, Weiss, Blake, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Velvet, and her team.

Ozpin even revealed the fact that he knew about Jaune's fake transcripts all along, and yet he was still accepted as a student. When asked why, Ozpin said that he saw plenty of latent potential to become one of the greatest Hunters in his generation with the right training. Training that his parents clearly neglected to give him. Whether this was out of fear for Jaune's safety, or out of some form of spite for being the weakest of the Arc children, nobody knows.

That didn't do anything to change the attitudes of the rest of the Beacon students, though.

But then, Jaune found Bakugan!

And ever since, his life has been much more bearable than before. He knows that he's not the strongest hunter around yet, but he does know one thing...

"I'll be a battle Brawler… someday…"

As our blonde hero started to make his way out of the park, something caught his attention. Particles of light started to rain down from the sky. But this was clearly not the work of Dust.

"Huh? What's going on?" gasped Jaune. "Whoa!"

As the light grew brighter and brighter, Jaune found it difficult to keep his eyes open. But by the time it was open, he faintly saw, and most definitely heard, something land on the ground and roll towards him. As the light faded he opened his eyes completely and saw just what it was that landed near him. And it was in a red and yellow color scheme that he's quite familiar with.

"A… A… Bakugan?" he said in surprise. "Wow! I've never seen one like this before!..."

Kneeling down he picked up the new Bakugan and held it in his open palm in order to examine it. But to his surprise, the Bakugan popped open on its own to reveal some sort of dragon creature. Its body segments separated into a head attached to a long neck with a forward facing horn sticking out of the top, a pair of wings, two arms in the center of the sphere, a pair of legs/feet, and a tail that folded down out of the back.

"...Where am I?" asked the new Bakugan in a male voice that sounded like it belonged to a battle hardened warrior.

"Er… Planet Earth… in the realm of Remnant…" replied Jaune.

"Not in Vestroia then…" the Bakugan said to himself.

"Who… who are you?" Jaune said as he tried to break the ice.

The Bakugan didn't take too long to reply. But he didn't exactly sound too sociable.

"My name is Leonidas."

Seeing this chance encounter as a blessing in disguise, Jaune gave Leonidas a friendly smile. As if he was talking to a good friend or his sister, Saphron, and her wife Terra.

"Hey… you wanna partner with me? I bet we could beat anyone!" Jaune asked.

"If I battle with you, I'll have the chance to defeat other Bakugan?" Leonidas asked in return.

"Yeah! We'll beat 'em all!" Jaune replied with much enthusiasm.

"Hmm… I sense that in this world, I will only release my true power in these Bakugan battles." Leonidas hummed to himself as he observed the situation.

He may not have really been alive for too long, but he's much smarter than the average Bakugan. Maybe not book smart, but definitely combat smart. And in his opinion, that's the only kind of smart you need to be.

"Was that a yes?" Jaune asked, getting a nod from Leonidas in return. "Awesome! Great to meet ya…partner!"

***To Be Continued…***

Ending Narration(Jaune): "Man, it feels so great to have my own Bakugan partner now! The first chance we get, we're gonna challenge someone to a Bakugan battle, and we are gonna mop the floor with them! ...But first, I need to pass a mandatory combat exam issued by Cardin's father on the Vale Council. If I lose this fight, I'll be kicked out of Beacon and banned from all the other Huntsman Academies! I can't let that happen, so I'm gonna train like never before! ...Wait, Leonidas wants to be my sparring partner? How will that work? Only one way to find out, I suppose. Bakugan, BRAWL! See you there!"
