A Jane Eyre What if Story Chapter 3, a jane eyre fanfic

1) JaneXRochester. What if Jane never left after the failed wedding, and was there for the fire? What if before the fire Edward got the marriage annulled? (Based on the 1996 version of the Movie. My FAVE version all though many will disagree with me.) I have not fully read the book yet, (I'm on like chap 20!) I've read other stories where Rochester calls Jane Janet after the wedding, and from what I looked up, it's in the book, (But again I'm not done with it yet.) and while I understand it, I'm not going to do it in my story.

2) This is my first Jane Eyre story.

3) Be patient with me, These older time stories are not my strongest points but I got inspired after reading my fave stories.

4) This chapter is 1 month after the last chapter, and each chapter will be a month after the last.

I was in a wedding dress for the second time in my life. We had rebuilt the house, over the course of the month, and was now ready to be lived in by us. "oh mademoiselle. Eyre! Tu es si belle!" I heard the familiar voice of Adele. "Adele! My Sweet!" I said, wrapping my arms around her. "I've missed you so much." I said, as she embraced me tightly. After a few moments, She walked down the aisle, and took a spot next to Mrs. Fairfax, Leah, Mary and Diana. Then I walked down, flashing a warm smile towards Edward. "Welcome. We are gathered here today in the sight of god, to join this man and this women, in holy matrimony. If anyone should object, speak now or forever hold your peace." This time, no one objected. "Do you Edward Fairfax Rochester, take Jane Eyre to be your lawfully wedded wife? In Sickness and in health, for Richer for poorer to have and to hold from this day forward. To love, Honor, Cherish and obey for all the days of your life?"

Edward's hands took mine, caressing them gently. "I do." I smiled, as the pastor said "And do you Jane Eyre take Edward Fairfax Rochester to be your lawfully wedded husband? For Richer for Poorer, in sickness and in health? To have and to hold, to love, honor, Cherish and obey for all the rest of your days?" I looked at him and said "I do." "Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, You may kiss your bride." The pastor said, as Edward lifted the veil and kissed me softly.

"Oh Mme et monsieur Vous avez l'air si heureux!" Adele gushed, as we broke apart, causing her to jump to her feet and join us. "Thank you dear." I said, before giving my beloved a look. "Why don't the three of you talk, while we get ready for the party?" Mrs. Fairfax said, as I Nodded. "Adele, we should talk." Edward said, as we sat on the bench. "Have I done something wrong?" I said "No, no, my sweet. We were wondering if you would like to legally become our daughter?" I asked, and Edward said "It is your choice. Either way if you like your school in Paris, You can return, or you can come home." Adele's eyes filled with tears, as she hugged us both. "Oh Yes! Please! I want to be your daughter!" Edward and I smiled, as we signed the papers with the pastor. "Your legally Adele Rochester now, as I am Jane Rochester." Adele grinned with delight. We went out to the carriage, and got in. "I wish to be in both places, The school in Paris, and here…" She said, as we rode to the house. "Well, you can try to go back, even if it's for a week. If you feel like you miss home too much, You can always come home." Adele said "Thank you Papa! Thank you Mama.!" I smiled, wide when she called me mama, I looked up to Edward to see him smiling wide. "My girls." He said, wrapping his arms around us. We finally arrived back at Thornfield, and celebrated our wedding. We returned to our master suite, after making sure Adele was in bed. I felt a sense of calm, as we Consummated our marriage.

In the morning I woke to my husband carefully removing himself from our bed. "Edward?" I said, sitting up holding the blanket to my body. "Hey. Sleep well my dear?" He said, kissing my head. "Yeah, my love. What about you?" I asked, which caused him to reply, "Yeah, my dear. I slept well as well." He kissed my head, before we got dressed, and went to breakfast. "So what are we gonna do today?" Adele asked. "Well, since we only have a today together, before you return to school tomorrow, I thought we could go for a little ride?" Edward suggested, causing me to look curious. "That does sound like fun!" We got our bags and got ready. "Ready Ladies?" Edward asked, as we came out. "Ready, Beloved." I answered, as he took my bag securing it to the carriage, then he got Adele's. "Alright, Here, let me help you in my dear." He said, as he helped me up and into the carriage, then helped our daughter in, before climbing in himself. "So, where are we gonna go?" Adele, asked. I was curious too I'll admit. "Well, Since you have to be at school, in a few days, I thought we'd take you there, personally! A family trip, and a mini honeymoon." I blushed. Adele was excited, and started talking, excitedly about all the sights we should see. I laid my head on Edward's shoulder.

A few days later, we arrived in Paris. "As much as we would love to spend the entire day with you, spoiling you, you do have classes in the morning…" Edward said, as the carriage pulled up outside the hotel and school. Once it stopped he helped us down, getting our bags as Adele said "oh non papa, laisse-moi rester avec toi et maman! Encore un peu de temps!" I could see Edward about to speak, but I said "Adele, ne discute pas avec papa, s'il te plaît. Il a raison."

She frowned, giving Edward the pleading eyes. "Adele, mind your Mother and I now." Edward said, as we took her to her school, and getting her settled. Most of her friends were in class, so one of the maids helped her get caught up. Once Adele was settled, we went to the hotel. "Bonne journée Madame. Ma femme et moi avons besoin d'une chambre pour quelques nuits, s'il vous plaît." Edward said, setting our bags down beside, us. The worker, looked up and said "Oh, monsieur, et madame, je suis terriblement désolé, mais nous n'avons pas de chambre supplémentaire ... Mais, laissez-moi appeler, et voir si l'hôtel d'en face a une chambre disponible. N'hésitez pas à vous asseoir un instant dans notre confortable salle d'attente." I frowned, but we nodded, taking our seats.

"I was thinking, my love… When we return home, I would like to do something to honor Mason's sister… It wasn't her fault she was mad…" I said, as our fingers entwined. "I was planning on it." He kissed my head. "Just a small ceremony." I nodded, and said "I just feel bad, that with everything happening this month, we've never had a spare second, to do something." He said "I know, I felt guilty, as well."

"Excusez-moi, monsieur,Et madame?" The worker called, causing me and Edward to pick up our bags and walk over. "Oui, madame?"Edward asked. "J'ai besoin de votre nom pour la réservation à l'autre hôtel, juste en face. Ils ont une chambre disponible." She replied. I smiled and said "M. et Mme Rochester." The worker looked, shocked when I spoke. Edward only smiled. "Merci, Mme Rochester." She said to me, before speaking quickly into the phone. Once she hung up she turned to us, and said "D'accord, vous êtes tous deux prêts. Il vous suffit de payer la chambre. Bon séjour à Paris!" "Merci, madame." Edward said as we took the bags and went to the other hotel. By that time, it was close to dinner. "We'll go to the cafe, once we get settled."He promised, as we approached the counter. "Bonsoir monsieur, ma femme et moi avons une réservation, faite par les femmes de l'hôtel de l'autre côté de la rue. M. et Mme Rochester." The man behind the counter, looked up and said "Ah, bonsoir, M. et Mme. Laissez-moi vérifier." He looked at the note, and said "Oui vous y êtes. Je comprends que vous deux resterez trois nuits? Ce sera 50 livres." Edward handed him the nessicary bills, before we got the room key and Edward said "Merci beaucoup monsieur." We went to our room, and got settled.

We went to the cafe, "Ah, bonsoir. Table pour deux?" We nodded and, she said "de cette façon s'il vous plaît."Once we got to our table she said "Votre serveur sera avec vous actuellement." We sat and looked over the menu. After dinner we returned to the hotel. "Jane? Dear? Do you feel alright?" I said "yeah… maybe just a little tired… Is it alright, if we prepare for bed early tonight?" He said "Of course, my love. Should I send for someone to draw a bath for you, or would you like me to do it for you?"I said "I'm more then capable of doing it for myself, my dear… But being tired as I am, I would prefer some one else drawing it for me…" He said "I'll go speak to someone now, my dear. You just relax." I smiled gratefully as he went and got someone to draw the bath.

After I quickly bathed, before dressing in a night gown, before I laid down. "Try and rest now, my dear. I'll join you in a little bit." I nodded, and tried to sleep while he quickly bathed, before dressing in his night clothes, and laying beside me. "Can't sleep?" His voice asked, as I moved to lay my head on his shoulder. "Now I can."I said with a yawn, letting my eyes droop closed. I felt his lips against my head, and his voice say "I love you" "I love you too." I whispered, as I fell asleep.
