Ch 6 Mistaken Meaning
Back at the Shredder's lair Shredder was admiring his handiwork. Xever's mutation had been complete and he was now a purple skinned snake complete with creepy yellow eyes. "Excellent," Shredder was clasping his hands together as Bradford and Xever stood before him. "You've done well Stockman."
"Thank you Master," Stockman said, relived that everything had gone well. "Luckily it was snake DNA in the vat. And a venomous snake at that."
"I like this new body," Xever hissed, relieving his fangs and spitting venom across the room. "I like it a lot," he said with a cackle.
"What do you wish us to do Master," Bradford asked, ignoring Xever's comment. Shredder went to respond but before he could the door flew open and Hun and his men entered the room. Tiger Claw growled at the men.
"You dare barge into the Master's room unannounced?!" the assassin snarled, balling his hands into fists.
"You don't scare me tiger," Hun said, peering over his sunglasses at Tiger Claw. "And I have a important delivery for you Shredder." With that Hun snapped his fingers and Fong stepped forward, carrying Karai, who by now had regained consciousness.
"Ugh you all are going to pay for this!" Karai cried out, kicking her legs in an effort to break free. Fong paid the teen no attention and dropped her on the floor in front of the Shredder. Karai got to her feet and made a lunge for Shredder despite her hands being tied behind her back. Fong grabbed Karai by her shoulders and held her in place. "Ugh let me go!" Karai shouted, struggling against Fong's grip. "Let me go right now or I swear I'll make you regret the day you were born!" Fong merely laughed at Karai and made no move to release her
"Release her," Shredder ordered.
"Heh I only take orders from Hun," Fong sneered. Shredder glared at the man and clenched his fists tight letting the moonlight glare off of his sharp blades. Shredder let out a menacing growl as he lifted up his fist.
"Dude don't piss that guy off," Sid hissed, looking at the Shredder in fear. "He looks like he can slice you in half."
"I'd listen to your associate if I were you," Shredder warned. "Now do as I said and release my daughter!" Fong gulped in fear and released Karai, untying her hands as well.
"Now I can beat your sorry ass from here to Japan!" Karai cried out. "But not until you tell me where Tang Shen is!"
"I no not where Tang Shen is," Shredder said.
"Liar!" Karai shouted, balling her fists up. "I know you Father! I know how obsessed you are with Tang Shen and making her yours! And now she's missing and there was obvious signs of a struggle and you expect me to believe that you had nothing to do with it!"
"Daughter I promise you I do not know where Shen is," Shredder declared.
"Your promises mean nothing to me!" Karai snarled as she turned to walk away from Shredder. But Shredder grabbed her shoulder and spun her back around. "She better not be hurt! I'll search this entire building if I have to but I will find her!" the enraged teen cried out, pulling away from Shredder's grip.
"Very well," Shredder said, releasing Karai. Karai's brown eyes went wide with surprise but she said nothing. "I know you very well Karai," Shredder continued. "You are very stubborn. So I will show you myself that Shen is not here. Tiger Claw you come with me. Bradford see to it that Hun and his men are paid for their success."
"Yes Master," the two mutants said. With that they group dispersed.
TMNTTMNTTMNT
Meanwhile April had arrived at Casey's place. "Red am I glad to see you!" Casey exclaimed as he let April into his apartment. "C'mon she's in the other room!" With that Casey lead April into his father's room. When April saw Shen lying there her blue eyes went wide.
"Oh my God!" the red head exclaimed. "Tang Shen!"
"Wait you know her?" Casey asked, scratching his head in confusion.
"Yeah," April said. "She the mother of...some...friends of mine. They've been looking for her for the last day."
"Yeah some dude tried to kidnap her," Casey said with a scowl. "But I stopped 'im. But she took a pretty nasty fall and hit her head. And I'm pretty sure her side wound is infected. I've tried cleanin' it but she's got a fever now and hasn't been awake."
"She needs Donnie to look at her," April muttered as she gently lifted the bandage and looked at Shen's wound.
"Whose Donnie?" Casey asked.
"Her son," April said. "Uh listen Casey would you mind going to the store and getting some supplies?"
"Now?" Casey asked. "But Red..."
"Please Casey its really important," April said, handing Casey some money.
"Well alright," Casey said, giving April a look. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
"Take your time," April said as Casey walked out the door. As soon as Casey was gone April got out her T-com. "Leo you guys have gotta come here like now," April hissed into the device.
"April what's wrong?" Leo asked, the concern clear in his voice.
"I'm at my friend Casey's apartment," April informed the oldest turtle. "Your mom is here and she's hurt."
"What?!" Leo exclaimed, his light brown eyes wide. This go the attention of Donnie and Mikey. "Mom's been found," Leo informed his brothers.
"What?!" the two youngest turtles exclaimed.
"Yeah apparently April's friend Casey found her," Leo explained. "She's hurt though."
"Dudes what are we waiting for?!" Mikey cried out. "Lets go get Mom!"
"I'm texting you guys the address," April said, having heard the conversation. Within seconds Leo's T-com beeped.
"Got it," Leo said. "Luckily we're not that far. We'll be there in a few." With that Leo ended the call and he, Donnie and Mikey headed towards Casey's apartment.

A little bit later the three brothers had arrived at Casey's apartment. April let them in via the fire escape window and lead them to their mother. The three brothers ran to Shen's side and knelt beside her. "What happened?!" Leo cried out.
"She got attacked," April informed her friends. "Casey said some creep was trying to kidnap her and he stopped him. But Shen took a pretty nasty fall and hit her head and got that injury to her side. Casey brought her back here and he's been trying to take care of her since." Donnie examined Shen's wound and his black eyes went wide. "She's defiantly got an infection," the purple masked turtle said. "But luckily its not to severe. Casey did a pretty decent job of stitching up the wound. We need to get her back to the lair so I can give her the proper medicine."
"Lets go," Leo said as he began to lift Shen.
"Be careful Leo," Donnie said as he and Mikey stood up. Leo rolled his eyes but said nothing. Instead they headed towards the window to leave. But just when they opened the window the front door opened and Casey stepped in.
"Hey Red I got the..." the dark headed boy began. But then he saw the turtles and his eyes went wide and he dropped the bag of supplies. "Holy Shit," Casey cursed. Then he noticed Leo holding Shen. "Put her down freak!" Casey shouted, taking out his baseball bat. "Put her down right now or I swear I'll beat you asses so hard you'll wish you were dead!"
"Casey no!" April cried out. "You don't understand. They're not..."
"I'll protect you April!" Casey cried. With that he let out a cry of fury and charged towards the turtles, fully prepared to beat them senseless
