…..Hedwig nipped at his fingers and then tilted her head the other way as if to say. "What about my mistress?"
Harry agreed. "Yes, I would miss Hermione too."
Harry hugged his owl.
"I wish Hermione was here so I could say goodbye to her." Harry said sadly.

Previously back at Hogwarts, in the Quidditch stands that looked at the dark green impenetrable wall of the maze for the Third Task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
Our favourite heroine, Hermione Granger, was sick with terror as she had watched Harry's hand on the Champion's Clock move between Mortal Danger and Certain Death, as the emerald green life-force gem stones that matched the beautiful eyes of her best friend, slowly disappear over the course of the ongoing third task in the deep dark maze.
While a hungry Ronald Bilius Weasley was far more concerned about the health status of his stomach and was soon completely bored and tired of hearing her continuous concern for the miserable git. It wouldn't have been a problem if the tosser had not cheated to put his name in the Goblet of Fire.
Then the bottomless pit that Ronald Bilius used for a stomach, growled, and he remembered it was time for elevenses. Thus he showed what was truly important to him, and had abandoned Hermione in her time of need, for a little more food.
Fortunately, the Tosser's place was soon taken by Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood as they held each of Hermione's hands to try and comfort her. Together they had watched as Fleur retired and Viktor was expelled. Then they saw Harry and Cedric's clock hands point to the Tri-Wizard Tournament Trophy as their life-force gem stones flash as the trophy was touched and signaled the end of the final third task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
They screamed when Harry and Cedric's clock hands moved to point directly at Certain Death and then sinisterly, Cedric's clock hand slowly moved to point to Game Over, as his life-force gem stones turned black. Hermione sadly explained what Game Over, meant to her friends who had comforted her during the final task. While Harry's life-force gem stones slowly dropped one by one as his clock hand stayed pointing ominously at Certain Death.
They prayed for a miracle as that last life-force gem stone stubbornly refused to disappear.
Then they heard the blood curdling screams as they saw Headmaster Karkaroff, and Professor Moody of all people, fall to the ground writhing in agony.
Hermione just knew that Harry had done something, and that meant that he was still alive.
Then it really happened!
BONG!
Sounded the Champion's Clock as the crowd of spectators grew silent and they turned their attention to the clock.
BONG!
A second chime sounded around the maze as they gasped as Harry's clock hand started to make a loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly moved from pointing to Certain Death, as one of Harry's life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green.
BONG!
A third chime sounded around the maze as Harry's clock hand continued to make a loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly passed through Mortal Danger, as another one of his life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green.
BONG!
The Champion's Clock continue to chime as more of Harry's life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green each time, as Harry's clock hand made its loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly passed through; Lost, Fighting, Tri-Wizard Tournament Trophy, in big gold letters, and onwards pass Running, Stunned, to finally stop on Resting.
Hermione started to breathe again as they hugged each other for sheer joy. Harry was still alive!
The three friends looked over to the official stand to see if the headmaster was doing something to help save Harry, but he seemed to be busy with Cedric's father and the Minister. Probably dealing with whatever caused headmaster Karkaroff and Professor Moody to scream. Deep down, Hermione felt that there would be no help for Harry coming from the adults and Harry, wherever he was, was on his own, again.
BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG!
"Bloody hell!" Neville said as they watched the Champion's Clock chimed as Harry's hand quickly moved all the way back to Certain Death. Then for what seemed to be an eternity, Harry's hand stayed pointing at Certain Death while Hermione, Neville and Luna prayed that it didn't go to Game Over.
BONG!
Everyone gasped as the Champion's Clock chimed and they watched Harry's clock hand carefully, fearful that Harry's impossible luck had finally run out, and the clock hand would slowly move to point to Game Over.
But it didn't!
Harry's clock hand moved the other way to Mortal Danger.
BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG!
"Bloody hell!" Neville said again as they watched the Champion's Clock chimed as Harry's hand quickly moved all the way back to Resting as Harry's life-force gem stones then came back with a vengeance and overflowed the smallest of the huge glass containers.
The three friends, Hermione, Neville and Luna danced around hugging each other with sheer joy, Harry was still alive.
Then Hermione felt a doubt in her heart.
Pop!
A small hand grabbed Hermione's wrist.
Pop!
And three students disappeared from Hogwarts.
- Lily's Love – The Power the Dark Lord knows not! -
Pop!
Hermione appeared with Dobby holding her wrist with a surprised Neville and a smiling Luna as she loved surprises.
"Dobby! What are you doing?" Harry and Hermione said together.
"Hermione!" Harry cried happily with a cheerful grin.
"Harry!" Hermione screamed as she launched herself at Harry and wrapped him up in her arms as Hedwig jumped out of her way and accidentally whacked Dobby up the back of his head with her wing. She had still not forgiven the elf for interfering with her letter delivery responsibilities during the summer after first year.
Dobby rubbed the back of his head while Harry enjoyed the hug but he was still in a lot of pain. Then he suddenly remembered what his mother's protection had done to Wraithmort, and for a moment he feared that his hands could hurt Hermione. But she was in no pain, and he remembered that his hands had had no effect on Hedwig. So he reasoned that his mother's protection only kicks in against those who wish to cause him harm, pain or death like Wraithmort. But after what Wraithmort had said about Dumbledore, he wondered what would happen if he was to shake Dumbledore's hand?
A small high-pitched voice said. "The Great Harry Potter must not be angry with Dobby. Dobby not saves the Great Harry Potter as per the instructions of the Great Harry Potter. Dobby saved the Great Harry Potter's Grangy! As the Great Harry Potter wished."
"Oh?" Harry said as he realised what Dobby had said. "Well thank you, Dobby. I really needed to see Hermione."
"Oh? You wished to save me?" Hermione asked as Harry gave her that shy smiling grin. It seemed to be Déjà vu as she just went for it and kissed Harry.
And Harry knowing better, kissed her back.
After about ten minutes a nervous Neville coughed to clear his throat and get their attention.
But Harry and Hermione totally ignored him and continued to share their passion filled kiss as they had learnt how to breathe under water for the second task.
So Luna followed their example and snogged Neville.
While Dobby popped away to get some refreshments and Pick-Me-Up potion as Harry will need a lot of it.
- Lily's Love – The Power the Dark Lord knows not! -
Dobby returned with the refreshments, Pick-Me-Up potion and a large special plate of bacon for Hedwig, prepared just as the snowy owl loved it. He gave the refreshments and Pick-Me-Up potion to the four friends as they snuggled together on the blankets they had brought from Hogwarts, as Hermione lent back against the stone Angel of Death. She had cast a number of the bluebell flame charms on the stones that lay around them to give a ghostly little blue light against the still darkness that filled the silent graveyard.
Hedwig landed next to her mistress to enjoy her bacon as Harry rested his head on Hermione's lap and caught his breath. A trickle of blood from his scar ran down his face and he realised how burnt his glowing hands were. He thanked his mother's protection as magical power can be tainted by the emotions and intents of the heart and he wouldn't want to absorb the evil emotions and evil intents of the hearts of those evil Death Eaters or that evil dark lord Wraithmort. Otherwise Dumbledore would sadly claim that Harry had gone dark.
Then Harry realised why his scar had hurt so often and had never completely healed. His mother's love protection had been a force field to prevent him from being possessed by the Horcrux-mort in his scar. He realised that he had a lot to discuss with Hermione about Dumbledore's true motives.
Then thinking about the headmaster, reminded him of Fawkes, who had actually came to help him in the Chamber of Secrets.
"Fawkes?" Harry harshly whispered.
Fawkes flamed in with the Sorting Hat and placed it on the head of a nearby stone cherub. Then glided over to land next to Harry to heal the burns on his hands with his healing tears. Harry lent his head back so Fawkes could heal his scar and some tears ran into his eyes healing them too so he wouldn't need to wear glasses any more. Fawkes continued to apply tears to the rest of Harry's injuries including from the vicious Acromantula attack.
"Thank you, Fawkes. I was hoping you would come again to my rescue." Harry smiled as Fawkes winked as he hopped over to share in Hedwig's large special plate of bacon which made Hedwig very happy. So happy she blushed.
"Well, you did ask nicely for help, Mr Potter." Fergus, the Sorting Hat said. "And well done. You have finally vanquished the dark lord."
Harry snorted. "Thank you but with so many dead, I am sure the headmaster will be most displeased."
Fergus snorted. "Actually the headmaster is absolutely and utterly furious. I have never seen him so angry. Hogwarts is in an uproar and the headmaster doesn't have anyone to blame."
"Anyone? You mean me?"
"Well yes, of course, Mr Potter. Who else could the headmaster blame?"
"That's not fair!" Hermione reacted as her respect of the headmaster cracked.
"Oh, there is nothing fair about the headmaster's Greater Good, Miss Granger." Fergus responded. "It is all about, He-Who-Controls-The-Chaos!"
"Oh?" Hermione understood as her respect shattered while Harry wrapped his arms around her.
"Well, it will get worse as Babymort ordered Pettigrew to murder Cedric." Harry caught his breath to say that Cedric was dead out loud. "He. He called him the spare."
Hermione, Neville and Luna gasped as they turned to see the body of their fellow student.
"I am sorry about that. Cedric was a good boy and had a bright future to look forward to in politics at the Ministry of Magic." Fergus said sadly. "He will be sadly missed."
Harry could feel his strength return as Fawkes' tears did their healing work. He looked over to where he had dropped his wand near Cedric's body. He wondered what hex he could have used against Voldemort. The only real defensive hex he knew was the disarming hex and he didn't think that would have much effect against a dark lord's Killing Curse. He silently thanked his mother for her love that gave his hands the power to burn dark lords to ash.
Harry saw that Voldemort's wand was still next to him on the ground where Tom's hand had fallen, he reached over to pick it up and almost dropped it as it vibrated viciously and started to glow as it got very hot in his hand. The bone coloured evil twin wand began to emit echoing screams of pain before its tip started to split.
- Lily's Love – The Power the Dark Lord knows not! -
Meanwhile back at Hogwarts.
Everything had got ten times worse for the headmaster as Amos Diggory had discovered that his precious boy was missing with Potter and that he could be dead.
In fear and agony the terrified father screamed louder than Molly Weasley.
The headmaster wondered what else could possibly go wrong tonight as he checked all of his monitoring charms that were linked to the colourful buttons sewn onto his outlandish flamboyant robes. Monitoring charms were his specialty as he always wanted know what was happening, and he had placed monitoring charms on everything. He had been so pleased back in 81 when the monitoring charm he had placed around the Burrow had detected that his rat spy Death Eater had returned alive. He knew Wormtail would need a place to hide and why not hide where you will be well fed. Obliviation was the second specialty of the headmaster, and knowing the spy rat's disposition to collect trophies, he had paid the rat a visit that the rat would never remember, and found among all the wands that the rat had collected was the evil twin Yew and phoenix feather core wand. He had applied his best monitoring charms to the wand as he knew it would be very important for the future of the Greater Good to monitor Tom's movements when he returned.
And that future was now, as the headmaster's luck really took a nose dive, for the button linked to monitoring charm on the 13½", Yew and phoenix feather core wand faithfully reported to the manipulative old fool that the evil twin wand had a new master, and that new master had a magical signature that the headmaster knew very well.
The boy was alive and not dead!
And worse, he had just picked up Tom's wand.
And the headmaster knew that Tom would only let the boy touch his precious wand, if the boy had vanquished him again.
"Damn! Damn! Damn!" The headmaster screamed as he stamped his foot in frustration. "Why won't the boy do what he is supposed to do and die!"
Then the fearful headmaster slammed his hands over his mouth as he had said too much as all eyes looked at him. But with all the noise Amos, the Minister and the crowd were making, not everyone heard everything he had said.
But what little Minerva had heard was enough for her to realised that the headmaster was losing it. Then she saw him go for his fabled wand which just made her angry.
The headmaster gripped his famous wand, but Minerva was younger and quicker, and pounced like a cat after a big juicy rat. In two steps she was in range as she brutally slapped the old fool wizard across his face with her claws, breaking his nose and knocking him unconscious as he crumbled to the ground, and hopefully with some more sense knocked into him.
Minerva never knew she could part transform like that, and she loved it.
No more little Miss Nice Kitty.
- Lily's Love – The Power the Dark Lord knows not! -
Instinctively, Harry knew his mother's protection had kicked in again, and he had to hold onto the viciously vibrating burning evil twin wand, as Hermione wrapped her arms around him. The wand continued to emit echoing screams of pain as it split a little more, releasing a dense, smoky hand that flew out of the tip of it and vanished. It was the ghost of the hand Voldemort had made Wormtail. Then the wand gave more shouts of pain... and then something much larger began to blossom from Voldemort's wand tip, a great, grayish something, that looked as though it were made of the solidest, densest smoke... It was a head... now a chest and arms... the torso of Cedric Diggory.
All Harry could think of was his dumb luck as he gripped the wand tightly as he watched the thick gray ghost of Cedric Diggory (was it a ghost? it looked so solid) emerged in its entirety from the end of Voldemort s wand, as though it were squeezing itself out of a very narrow tunnel... and this shade of Cedric stood up, and looked back at the wand in Harry's hand and then at the pile of ash that was all that remained of Voldemort. Then he looked around the desolate graveyard strewn with dead bodies, the last one being his own.
"Bloody hell, Harry, you have avenged me already." It said as Harry snorted. "Keep on doing whatever you are doing, Harry. There are a lot of us trapped in that wand."
"I am so sorry you died, Cedric." Harry said as he determinedly gripped the wand to free the other victims of Voldemort.
"That wasn't your fault, Harry! I just wasn't quick enough." Cedric explained. "And I was a little too much of a Hufflepuff."
Harry chuckled grimly. "They wouldn't give you a second chance."
"Yeah, I know that now."
Cedric stood beside Harry and Hermione to encourage them on, as the dense shadow of a second head, quickly followed by arms and torso... an old man Harry had seen only in a dream was now pushing himself out of the end of the wand just as Cedric had done... and his ghost stood next to Cedric's ghost.
"You got him! Good lad!"
More screams of pain from the wand, and then ghost of Bertha Jorkins emerged from its tip.
"Don't let go, now!" she cried, and her voice echoed like Cedric's as though from very far away. "You can do it, Harry, just don't let go!"
And now another head of a beautiful witch with long silver hair was emerging from the tip of Voldemort's wand and Luna moved forward to catch her mother as they both fell to the ground hugging each other.
"Oh, mummy. I have missed you so much!" Luna tearfully cried. "I could feel that you were close when I came to Hogwarts." Luna tightly hugged her mother's ghost. "No one would believe me when I said that you had been murdered by a rat!"
"I am so sorry my little Moonbeam." Celeste Lovegood said with ghostly tears in her eyes as she tightly hugged her daughter. "I recognised the rat, Pettigrew, as he was following little Ginny to the swimming hole at the back of the Burrow, and he attacked me before I could report him to Madam Bones."
"I saw it mummy, I held your hand." Luna cried as she buried her face in her mother's hair and cried her tears for so many dejected solitary years and lonely nights. "No one believed me, and I was so dispirited that I wouldn't go near the burrow, Ginny or that rat ever again."
"Oh, my dear beautiful Moonbeam, I love you so much. Mummy will be with you forever."
"Promise?"
"I promise and pinky swear." As the two hooked together their pinky fingers.
Harry and Hermione's attention was drawn away from the beautiful reunion of mother and daughter, as now another head was emerging from the tip of Voldemort's wand and Harry knew when he saw it who it would be. He knew, as though he had expected it from the moment when Cedric had appeared from the wand.
The smoky shadow of a tall man with untidy hair fell to the ground as Bertha had done, straightened up, and looked at him... and Harry, his arms shaking madly now, looked back into the ghostly face of his father.
"Your mother's coming." he said quietly. "She wants to see you. It will be all right. Hold on!"
And she came, first her head, then her body, a beautiful young woman with long hair, the smoky, shadowy ghost of Lily Potter blossomed from the end of Voldemort's wand, she gracefully landed on the ground, and into the arms of her husband. She walked close to Harry, knelt down to him, and she spoke in the same distant, echoing voice as the others, but quietly.
"I am so proud of Harry, my dear beloved son." Lily said as she wrapped her arms around him and Hermione. "I love you."
Harry felt the warm hug of his mother and faulted for a moment at those three little words he had so long wanted to hear.
"Oh, Harry! Keep focusing on that cursed wand of Voldemort." Lily said as she with Hermione, James, Neville, and Cedric wrapped their hands around Harry's shaking hand to help support him. "That idiot Tom had used that evil wand to make his evil Horcruxes and had engraved runes on it to trap the souls of everyone it had murdered, inside that thrice damn wand."
The extra support to hold the wand caused the tip split open and all the ghosts of the victims of Voldemort started to pour out of the wand.
So many ghosts appeared, including twin redhead brothers who looked like an older version of Fred and George, even Harry's grandparents and Neville's grandfather. All the way back to Voldemort's first victims, his own father, Tom Riddle senior, and his grandparents, Thomas and Mary Riddle.
Then the cursed wand stopped.
And Harry collapsed in Hermione's comforting hug with his mother and father's ghostly arms wrapped around him.
After a moment Cedric spoke.
"Harry." Whispered the figure of Cedric, "take my body back, will you? Take my body back to my parents."
Harry looked at Cedric's ghost and then at Cedric's body.
"I will do more than that, Cedric." Harry said as his clear, Voldemort's Horcrux free mind was racing as he remembered back to the end of third year when those Dementors had almost sucked out the soul of his dogfather, Sirius. But Sirius' soul had been able to return when his Patronus had driven all those foul creatures away. He looked at Hermione to have a silent conversation.
'Will that work?' Hermione questioned as Harry answered with that lopsided grin she loved so much and it was déjà vu again.
Harry moved across to pick up his wand and place it in his pocket. Then he gently straightened out Cedric's body and Hermione moved to tilled the head back to open the mouth. She took two deep breaths to raise the oxygen level in her lungs and then a third deep breath as she moved to breathe into Cedric's mouth.
"Brilliant, Harry!" Lily encouraged.
"Lily? What is he doing?" James asked.
"It's called CPR. Muggles use it to save someone whose heart has stopped." Lily explained.
"Will that work with the Killing Curse?"
"It's Harry!"
But before Hermione could position herself to breathe into Cedric's mouth, Harry placed his hands on Cedric's chest and roared.
"Breathe! Cedric!"
Harry's magic burst from his hands and gave the still silent heart of Cedric's body, a magical shock as the chest rose up like it had been zapped by a million volts and the mouth gasped as it sucked Cedric's soul back into his body.
"Brilliant, Harry!" Lily encouraged. "Just brilliant!"
While Harry looked into Hermione's eyes and their silent conversation went like this.
'You're supposed to say, clear, before you zap the them.'
'Sorry, but I wanted to be the only one that kisses your lips.'
'Oh, Harry.' And Hermione couldn't resist that lopsided grin as she grabs Harry and kissed his soxes off.
Cedric groaned as he opened his eyes. "Oh, my head hurts."
Harry and Hermione were rather very busy, so Fawkes flew over to Cedric and dropped some Phoenix tears into Cedric's eyes, nose and mouth, and the glowing hand prints on his chest.
"Oh! That is a lot better!" Cedric said. "Thank you, Fawkes. You too Harry and Hermione. You saved my life again!"
"You're welcome Cedric. I couldn't go back with your body. Everyone would blame me and for once, I didn't want someone good to stay dead."
"Sadly, I am sorry, you would be blamed." Cedric said as he hugged Harry. "My father would never forgive you even though it was He-Who..."
"Voldemort. Cedric. He is really dead and gone this time. He even took his snake, Nagini, with him and all of his evil Death Eaters."
"Yeah, I have to remember that."
"A word of advice. Just don't tell anyone that you survived a killing curse."
"No, I won't, Harry. It is just not worth it." Cedric chuckled. "Whoever said that the Killing Curse was painless, never survived one."
"And avoid looking into the headmaster's eyes. It feels like he is searching your soul and it will give you a bad headache."
"Oh? I will have to remember that too." Cedric replied. "So, you vanquished Voldemort twice tonight. Once from his new body and again you vanquished him from this world."
"Er, yeah. That makes it five times."
"Five times?"
"Yeah, the second time was at the end of first year when he possessed Quirrellmort, and the third time was at the end of second year when he haunted a diary and possessed a student to attack the school with a Basilisk." Harry explained.
"The Basilisk was Voldemort?"
"Actually it was Tom-mort, the younger version of Voldemort."
"You mean that we almost had two Voldemorts?"
"Er, yeah."
"Damn! And under the headmaster's nose and he didn't noticed."
"Apparently not." Harry replied. "That makes it five times that I have vanquished Voldemort."
"And the fifth time was the charm." Hermione added as they chuckled.
"And third year with Sirius Black?" Cedric asked.
"Oh, Sirius is completely innocent. He didn't betray my parents." Harry replied as James and Lily snorted at the thought of Sirius being completely innocent of everything.
Harry pointed to a body. "It was that rat, Peter Pettigrew. He was the Death Eater who murdered you."
"Oh? Sirius Black is innocent? After so many years in Azkaban?" Cedric asked as his Hufflepuff fairness showed. "And the headmaster didn't know?"
"Oh, he knows. Sirius is my dogfather."
James added. "Oh, he knew from the beginning. It was Dumbledore who performed the Fidelius charm on his old family home in Godric's Hollow, where he was hiding us."
"Wow!" Cedric marveled at the headmaster's betrayal. "But, he has done nothing to help him or you."
"No. He hasn't."

Meanwhile back at the maze for the third task.
BONG!
Sounded the Champion's Clock as the crowd of spectators grew silent and they turned their attention to the clock.
BONG!
A second chime sounded around the maze as they gasped as it was Cedric's clock hand that moved as it made a loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly started to move from pointing to Game Over, as one of Cedric's life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green.
BONG!
A third chime sounded around the maze as Cedric's clock hand continued to make a loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly passed through Certain Death, as another one of Cedric's life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green.
BONG!
A forth chime sounded around the maze as Cedric's clock hand continued to make a loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly passed through Mortal Danger, as another one of Cedric's life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green.
BONG!
The Champion's Clock continue to chime as more of Cedric's life-force gem stones turned from black to bright emerald green each time, as Cedric's clock hand made its loud ominous clanking sound as it slowly passed through Lost, Fighting, Tri-Wizard Tournament Trophy, in big gold letters, and onwards pass Running, Stunned, to finally stop on Resting.
As the tears of the Hufflepuffs turned from despair and desperation, to hope that there may have been a glitch in the matrix and their favourite champion might not be completely dead.
Then a moment later the rest of Cedric's life-force gem stones turned bright emerald green and the Hufflepuffs knew Cedric was alive, and they started to rejoice as they hugged each other as they shouted and cheered, and jumped for joy. Gryffindor joined in with Ravenclaw and Slytherin as the schools cheered for Cedric.
The Hufflepuffs followed their Professor Sprout as she turned to the officials of the Tri-Wizard Tournament as Cedric's father demanded of the Minister to know where his boy was as the headmaster was still a little dazed from Minerva's slap.
- Lily's Love – The Power the Dark Lord knows not! -
"So, what happens now?" Harry asked the $64,000 question.
"Well, we are ghosts with unfinished business, Harry. We can stay with you forever." Lily said as Harry's smile widened as Hedwig landed on his shoulder.
"Of course I want you to stay." Harry said as the possibilities opened up to him.
"Beauty!" Said the ghost of the Frank Bryce, the elderly Muggle caretaker and gardener of the old Riddle manor in Little Hangleton. "Me and old man Riddle are moving back into their old home with wife, Mary and his son Tom. There are some young lazy hooligans we want to cheerfully scare to death!"
The ghost of Tom Riddle, Voldemort's Muggle father came up to Harry and Hermione. "I am so sorry my son has hurt your family so much. I was so angry to discover that his mother had used love potions on me that I left her alone. But Tom was still my son and a little later I went looking for her so I could take care of her and my son, but she had disappeared. The whole family was gone and we couldn't even find their house anywhere. Which was very strange? At that time we didn't know what had happened. If the child had been born or if it was a boy or girl. Then one night sixteen years later Tom showed up and slaughtered us as if we were vermin."
"Thank you." Harry replied, touched by the man's love for his son. "I am sorry for what happened to you and your family, and Tom, but his magical guardian should have taken better care of him so that he didn't go so bad. Sadly, that particular magical guardian has a habit of failing to care."
"Thank you. Well, I better be going." Tom replied. "Nice to meet you Harry. Don't be a stranger."
The Muggle ghosts left with a big smile as Harry waved them goodbye as the ghosts of the redhead twins, Fabian and Gideon Prewett, approached.
Fabian spoke first, and then Gideon, in the same annoying twin speak of their nephews, Fred and George.
"We are Fabian."
"And Gideon Prewett."
"We are so sorry."
"That our big sister, Mollywobbles."
"Has caused you so much pain."
"She has our Prewett temper."
"And has lost so much."
"She did it for her children."
"But she shouldn't have taken so much."
"Please let us deal with her."
"And our niece and nephew."
"To fix this and make it better."
"Oh? You look so much like Fred and George Weasley." Harry replied.
"And you speak like them too." Hermione added.
"Ronald was a friend once."
"If you can help them."
"Please do."
A wicked grin appeared on the twin faces as they left on their quest to redeem their family. They first met up with their twin nephews and almost scared them to death as they look so much alike. But soon they crafted their wicked plans to redeem Mollywobbles, Ronald and Ginny. Their wicked grins promised that there would be a lot of double double, toil and trouble in the redhead trio's near future.
Hermione and Harry with Hedwig on his shoulder, shared a wicked grin as they watched the twins depart, and then turned to his mother.
"Mum." Harry froze at saying mum to his mother for the first time as Hermione wrapped her arms around him. "Mum, this is Hedwig, my beautiful faithful owl."
"Oh, she is gorgeous." Lily said as she patted the snowy owl with her ghostly hand. "Hello, Hedwig. Thank you for looking after my son. I hope he has not taken after his father."
Hedwig chuckled as she nodded her head and turned to look at James, as if to say. "You're welcome and Harry has missed you so much but he has been a very good boy. Except when his fighting and vanquishing dark lords."
Harry was surprised to see his mother understood Hedwig as well as he could. Then he had an idea and took out his parents' wands. If Tom-mort could hold his wand in the Chamber of Secrets, then maybe.
Lily saw her old faithful wand and slowly reached out. "My precious."
Harry was not really surprised when his ghost mother was able to hold her wand just like Tom-mort did in the Chamber of Secrets. Her love and magic had made her more than a ghost. Then he saw the wicked gleam in her eye as she flicked the wand towards the dead body of the rat who had betrayed them. A flame whip came out of the tip of the wand and wrapped around the ankles of the rat.
THUD!
With a flick, the flame whip pulled the rat up by the ankles, up and over their heads and smashed him down on the ground behind them.
BAM!
With a wicked grin and another flick, the rat went back over their heads to smash down where he was before.
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
His mother repeated her punishment of the rat thrice as his father came over to Harry and picked up his old wand.
"And that is why Voldemort feared her, and why you don't disappoint your mother." James chuckled. "And thanks for finding our wands."
"You're welcome, Dad." Harry froze as he realised that was the first time he had called his father, Dad. Then James hugged his son as Harry whispered. "I have missed you so much."
- Lily's Love – The Power the Dark Lord knows not! -
Luna had snuggled so much into her mother's ghost that she had wrapped her around herself like a big warm snuggly cuddly blanket. But she wanted so much more of her mother, and her big beaming smile lit up the graveyard. While the ghost of Neville's Grandfather started to tell them tales of Neville's parents when they were younger and at Hogwarts, as Celeste added any missing details and more stories.
The ghost of Edgar Bones called for his family elf. "Missy?"
An old elf popped in. "Master Bones? You're back?"
"Yes, Missy. It is great to see you. Could you please bring our daughter, Susan here?"
"Of course, master. She has missed you so much."
The elf popped away as other ghosts called their old family elves to bring their children and grandchildren to them.
Harry turned back to Hermione and his parents and they moved to one side to give the family reunions some more room, and over to where Dobby was hugging himself for joy as he looked around in amazement and wonder at the number of other elves that popped in with family for a happy reunion.
"Dobby?"
"The Great Harry Potter calls for Dobby! How can Dobby serve the Great Harry Potter?"
"Dobby? Thank you for bringing Hermione here?"
Dobby went sheepish. "The Great Harry Potter wished to see his Grangy before he left and technically bring his Grangy here wouldn't be saving him, it would be saving his Grangy."
"Oh? Thank you, Dobby." Harry said as he hugged him with Hermione as she also kissed the top of Dobby's head and then gave Harry a questioning look. "Oh, after I freed Dobby from the Malfoys, I told him to never save me again."
"Why?" Hermione asked. "You of all people need saving every day."
Harry chuckled. "Well, Dobby can be a little heavy-handed. He threw Malfoy all the way down a corridor when he tried to curse me."
"When did Draco try to do that?"
"Not Draco, it was his slippery poncy father. He tried to use the Killing Curse on me and Dobby snapped his fingers and Malfoy cartwheeled down the corridor to land on his bum."
"A killing curse?"
"Yeah, in Hogwarts. I think it is the only curse he knows." Then Harry turned to his parents. "Anyways."
Hermione followed Harry's eyes. "Oh?"
"Mum, dad, you have just got to meet my girlfriend, Hermione. You will love her, she is the brightest witch of our age." Harry said with a big smile that was matched by Hermione as she heard him say the 'G' word.
"Hello, Hermione." Lily said as she wrapped her warm ghostly arms around the witch before she could say anything. "Thank you for saving my son. You must stay with us this summer."
"I would love to."
"Great, your parents must stay with us too!"
"Um, where?" Harry asked. "We won't all fit at Durzkaban."
"No! At Potter Manor, of course. Hi, I am Charlus Potter and this is my wife Dorea. We are Harry's grandparents." The older James look-a-like ghost said.
"Oh!"
"So, Harry, I was so worried." Hermione asked. "What did you do this time?"
Cedric just smiled as he answered for Harry. "Ah, the usual, Hermione, Voldemort came back, picked a fight and lost again. But this time he took all of his evil minions with him."
Harry and Hermione laughed. "Thanks Cedric, you make it sound so simple."
"Anytime."
While Hermione gave Harry that look that asked for more details.
And soon.
