Morning Glow

With rising sun comes morning glow,

Already know what it will show.

Bodies left upon the field.

Battle where all refused to yield.

...

Battle fought on prior day,

Both Kells and Temra sought to slay,

Those they deemed their enemy,

Spreading death and misery.

...

Already crows flock to the feast,

Through death, our feeble souls released.

Wonder how long war will last,

While bodies rot upon the grass.

...

For peace, I know that we all yearn,

But peace upon which ruler's terms?

Just know for now, hundreds we'll slay,

While unfeeling sun heralds the day.
