What is the meaning of life? Why do we exist? Is it simply because of a biological game of chance, a game of bloody evolution? Or is it because of a higher power? If it is indeed the latter, who would dare condemn anyone to such a painful existence as ours? What kind of a cruel, black hearted Demon would do such a thing? For its own amusement? Its own sadistic desires? Simply because of boredom or because it could?

It matters not, life is cruel. In death, everyone is equal. Or are they? A martyr shall aways be remembered fondly, for the winning side. But what of the homeless man on the street? Or the sickly grandmother in the emergency room? Or the faceless young man who dies in a pool of his own blood as his brothers-in-arms treat his carcass as dirt? Truth is; nothing is equal. You are either born into poverty and die forgotten or born into might and wealth. That is... life.

Life is but a cruel joke, be it of divine origin or not... least it was until the Great Equalizer was born. Men of the cloth declared him 'evil incarnate' 'the Devil' or 'a Demon'. Others dubbed him as 'God's chosen' or 'the Angel of Death'. Truth is, all of these are wrong. He was born of alien blood and a weapon designed to kill the King of Gods.

Regardless, he made life and death equal. Fear spread before him like a plague, consuming even the gods and demons of the world. Kaiju and Man alike fell before him in the billions. Citys fell before this abomination like paper to water. Godzilla could not defeat him, neither could Mothra or Rodan. Kong died to the Devil-Kaiju. Mecha-Ghidorah fell before it. Even the many different aliens who had ravaged and warred with Man for decades quaked in fear.

Those who were once the greatest of foes became allies. Man and Alien joined forces to combat the genetic marvel. Everything they threw at it only made it stronger and stronger and stronger. It was hopeless. Fear, anger, hatred and similar emotions only attracted the Beast. And the world was on the brink of the apocalypse. Hope was lost; life was doomed. That was until Godzilla sacrificed his life in the Great Battle of Tokyo. He absorbed so much energy and just... exploded. The Curse of Man vanished, never to be seen again.

But that wasn't the end of the Demon's wrath. Its twisted offspring sprang forth from its genetic remains. They retained their 'father's' ability to sense emotions, and they reproduced at such a rate that not even Biollante could simply not compare. Millions more fell, and humanity was forced to breed with aliens in order to survive. Yet as humanity evolved and mutated, advancing their technology, so did the Demons. Their exoskeleton turned black as night, their beady yellow eyes turned red and they began integrating with mother nature; becoming Nature's Freaks.

And as humanity fell on their last legs, as hope began to whither away and die, something incredible was discovered. Dust is what they named it. A source of elemental crystals deep within the Earth. Infused with a power some would call magical. And with this power, the Demons - now dubbed 'Grimm' - were pushed back. They began losing members, dying to the flames and ice of humanity. And do to the psychic Xiliens, humanity developed psychic shields that allowed superhuman feats to be performed and abilities unique to each and every individual. Eventually these were named 'Aura' and 'Semblance' respectively. Furthermore, do to a scientific studies conducted by the Serizawa corporation, Silver-Eyes were developed. These individuals could use their innate Psychic energies to purge anything carrying that blasted Devil's genes from existence.

It was even rumored that the Serizawa corporation developed immortality. Only two known trials were conducted, or so they say. Nothing ever came of this, as these events bordered on the edge of the Great Beasthood. The Great Beasthood is when humans with more... beastial alien genes began developing animalistic features. They were known as Faunus, and this 'subhuman devolution' sparked off the first Great War. In which the last of humanity's ancient weapons were utilized, which triggered extreme continental drifting. But the Great War was over a hundred years ago, and the Devil's life was extinguished well over two thousand centuries ago, being long forgotten to time and legend.

Yet the myth persists. The myth speaks of the Grimm Father, the Ultimate Destroyer, the Great Equalizer: Destroyah. Yet, recently, Grimm have begun becoming more... ferocious. They are mutating faster, developing extraordinary abilities. But there is but one thing that truly boggles the mind; their cohesion. The Creatures of Grimm are becoming more organized; especially around Mistrial...
