Hello everyone! This is my first ever fanfiction, but I hope you enjoy! :) (I don't own any of the Seven Deadly Sins characters, although I wish I did.)

Elizabeth Liones didn't know who she was. Well, not completely.

She remembered her name, her birthday, what her family members were vaguely like. But when it came to thoughts, memories, feelings, they had completely gone. It was like Elizabeth remembered the skeleton of who she was, but everything else had disappeared.

The youngest Liones sister had never been one to freak out. No, that title could be given to Veronica. She had so much anger and so much energy that it could explode in a number of unexpected ways, freaking out being an option.

On the other hand, she knew their older sister Margaret was the definition of grace, balance and beauty. From what Elizabeth could figure out, she was probably more like the latter. Never really going overboard on the 'dramatics' side.

Until now.

The girl sitting in the hospital bed let out a scream that ripped through the silence. Feet could be heard squeaking against the shiny floor as doctors and nurses scrambled towards the sound. Elizabeth didn't exactly know what she was doing, but she couldn't stop. The sounds that came from her mouth didn't sound like it should, she was sure.

Cries of 'she's awake!' could be heard and people filed into the room, looking at monitors, checking her vitals, pretty much every test the silver haired girl could think of. At this point Elizabeth had gone very quiet. She wanted to ask where her family were, where she was, how long she'd been asleep. But everyone just continued on, not even bothering to ask if she was ok. There was a sickening feeling spreading in her stomach as everything moved around her. It was a blur, everything going forward expect her. No, she was completely frozen in time.

"Ellie!" Elizabeth glanced up at the soft cry, watching as a beautiful woman with lavender hair darted towards her. The twenty three year old then proceeded to pause beside her bed before engulfing her in soothing hug. Elizabeth buried her face into her sister's shoulder.

"Hi Mer-...Margaret." Elizabeth winced as she stumbled over her name, glad that she had at least remembered that. She felt arms tighten around her, regretful and relieved. She wondered how many memories she'd had with the older girl.

Sixteen, maybe even seventeen years. Now all that was completely wasted.

Elizabeth caught movement in the corner of her eye as Veronica entered the room, standing at the door with her arms crossed and her head down. Why does she look so guilty? Elizabeth thought, eyeing her sister warily. But Margaret ignored the slightly uncomfortable tension and beckoned the violet haired girl to join, a familiar softness in her smile.

By the time Elizabeth had explained her unusual situation to her family, yes, Bartra had stormed in demanding to see his daughter, they had all gone very pale. Her father had started spluttering, Veronica had clenched her fists and Margaret had gasped. The reactions pretty much summed up what they were like for Elizabeth.

They then proceeded to tell her about an accident, and how she's been in a coma for seven months. It was her turn to go pale. That's when reality hit her. She was seventeen, in the year above and she'd been hit by a car.

Elizabeth put her hands over her mouth, not trusting herself to say anything. More than half a year of her life, it was completely gone. All because of a stupid drunk driver who did a hit and run. All because of a stupid drunk driver she couldn't remember her mother's name, or any of her friends, or who she'd gone out with. At least she could name her family members. She guessed she had known them too long to forget them completely.

That night Elizabeth cried. Not sobbing, no, just tears that she couldn't stop. An endless flow of built up emotion that wouldn't stay down. She wasn't allowed to go home and even though her family offered to stay, she had refused. The whole situation was overwhelming, like it would crash down on her any minute. In fact, it probably already had.

Just as Elizabeth finally found herself a bit of peace and started drifting off, she saw a flash of brown as someone peeped around the door. The last thing she saw before the darkness consumed her was glowing violet eyes and and a big bright smile.
