"Haepi Hallowin."

Rista's bedroom door creaked open in the middle of the night. Through her foggy, quarter-open eyelids she saw a black outline tall enough to block nearly all of the light spilling through the door. His roughly brushed hair made his silhouette look like he had small horns. His eyes were gleaming pure white in the darkness.

"Hairs…" his voice resonated deep as he lurched toward her bed.

Closer and closer he inched toward the vulnerable goddess. His footsteps were low and labored. His voice was even lower.

"Hairs…"

He stopped when he was standing at the side of her bed. The blankets shuffled quietly as he started to lean forward. He came over her like a demon planning to rip out some part of her body for his own selfish gain.

She was used to it.

"Mm. Hi Seiya." The Healing Goddess glimpsed up from her pillow with a helpful smile.

"I need your hair," Seiya replied emotionlessly.

Rista turned her head so one side of her face sunk into her pillow and a few of her silky golden strands swept over her bare neck. If he was a vampire, she wouldn't mind if he bit her.

Seiya reached to her ear and swept his palm down her shoulder with surprising gentleness. Four tiny loose threads of her hair came away in his fingers with no resistance.

The Hero turned toward the door with his nightly collection and walked away with the same ominous strides that had brought him to Rista's side. The goddess cheerfully watched him before she closed her eyes again.

"You should get some sleep, Seiya. It's not good to be synthesizing stuff all night."

"I'll try making a sleeping mask. Extra Rest Bonus," he murmured as the bedroom door creaked shut.
