A Response to the The Boring Prompt Challenge - prompts chosen are: "An employee has been put in charge of a task they don't understand", "A restaurant is out of food" and "A food allergy gone wrong".

It was lunchtime in the Auror Department and Auror Squad Leader Harry Potter hated this time of day.

Ever since the Big Food Fight of 2001, the Auror Department had been on tenterhooks as that was the only time that they would ordinarily come into contact with other Departments, and tensions were at an all time high.

Harry walked into the Ministry Dining Room and headed towards his colleague, Susan Bones, when he saw a queue leading all the way round the room in order to get food.

"Hi Harry." Susan said, frowning. Looking at him, she could see he was a bit annoyed. "I know how you feel. Robards tore a strip off my team too about the bungled arrest. Apparently breaking Malfoy's windpipe isn't a good excuse for 'reasonable force'.

"I know. At least Ferret won't be trying to buy counterfeit galleons from Fletcher again though." he replied. "Whats with the queue?"

"Bloody Weasley. He's messed up again so the canteen is out of food. Kingsley should never have put him in charge of food distribution."

As an Auror Squad Leader, he was responsible for ensuring that there was order in the dining room, but today he had a feeling that things would go to pot.

"I'll be back in a bit then, No doubt none of the Auror Squad Leaders will deal with so I guess I've got to go and see what Ronald has done." he said, frowning. "He's probably eaten all of the food!"

Heading towards the kitchen, he could see the Deputy Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, Hermione Weasley, arguing with her husband, her hands all swollen.

"As if you ate all of the food isn't bad enough Ronald, I'm still suffering from last night when you gave me that bloody shrimp. I've had to get Stebbins to write out all of my reports today because of the bloody allergic reaction from it." she shouted, hitting him with her swollen hand. "I only came to work because we're in the middle of dealing a big House Elf enslavement ring and now Ronald you eat all of the food in the canteen!"

"S'not my fault." Ron said, half of his face covered in a bruise. "Kingsley told me he wanted me to dispose of some of the food. He didn't tell me what needed to be disposed of."

Hermione slapped her husband again. "You really are stupid Ronald. You should have checked the date on the food, when it was put in stasis and when it should be-"

"STOP" Harry shouted, getting annoyed at the couple in front of him

Suddenly Hermione started to vomit, but instead of normal vomit, shrimps came out. Harry looked at the sight before him, and then turned around.

"Darda" he called, a Ministry House Elf popping before him.

"Yes Auror Potter" the Elf replied.

"Go over to the Leaky and tell Hannah Abbott I'm invoking Code Echo-Foxtrot 6521 Zulu."

"Code Echo-Foxtrot 6521 Zulu" Harry heard Ron mutter as the Elf popped away. "Bloody Hell!"

Harry turned round to Ron, just as Kingsley walked into the Kitchen. "Yes Ronald, Echo-Foxtrot 6521 Zulu. The emergency code for the Auror Department's food needs."

"Are you sure Harry," Kingsley said from behind him. Harry turned around to see the Minister frowning. "The last time we committed a EF6521Z was when Alphard Weasley ate all of the food in the Canteen back in 1845. We've never had to use EF6521Z since then."

"Yes Minister, I'm sure I want to order a EF6521Z. As a former Auror Squad leader, you should know that the Auror Department need to eat. We don't have the luxury of a space for food to be stored, so the Leaky is the only place that we can get food if the kitchen is out. That's why I'm calling a Echo Foxtrot 6521 Zulu. Now if you excuse me, I am off to the Leaky for my lunch."

Harry headed out of the kitchen to the queue had died down following his declaration of a EF6521Z, and that there were blue lights surrounding the walls.

'Typical. A food fight one year, then a few years later. What do you expect when you get the Weasley Family involved in the running of the Staff Canteen' he thought, leaving Kingsley to deal with Hermione. Heading to the Ministry Apparation Point, he frowned. 'I just hope Hannah hasn't ran out of food either!'
