Once upon a time in a land called Etheria, a place full of magic and wonderment, there lived a wise and beloved King and Queen.

The King of this land was a genius man named Ingenuitous, a man known for his great intellect and skill for inventing. Now as a king he was quite unconventional being rather awkward and quite a prankster as well. He was also not the most conventional handsome man being a tad stocky yet average size man, with violet eyes, olive skinned, and dark hair but looks weren't exactly his focus. However despite his many quirks and overall oddness he still was a great leader, who sought to do what was right for his kingdom.

Though his biggest help and support was his wife Astora, a very short and beautiful woman with long purple hair, dark eyes, and fair skin. She was a very kind and wise woman who loved books and to research about the heavens. The pure excitement she would feel from the very thought of exploring space or studying the stars was unlike anyone Igenuitous had ever known. Her passion and love of knowledge was one of the things Igenuitus loved and admired most about Astora. Though she herself was also a bit odd and had many quirks too, together Ingenuitous and Astora ruled their kingdom with kindness, creativity, and fairness for all of its citizens. For many years of their reign the Kingdom was peaceful and all were happy, that was until the Great War had come.

One day, a day that would live forever in infamy, a foreign people came to take over their land. They were known as the Horde a powerful enemy, an enemy that nearly outwitted the brilliant Queen and King. Through the use of their very advanced technology and a powerful and evil sorceress known as Shadow Weaver they brought havoc and chaos to the land.

For over a year the poor Queen and King tried to fight off the fearsome Horde and it's great powers. But it seemed that not even the most advanced of their own technology was able to out match the Horde. Their people suffered so much from the wicked and cruel spells of Shadow Weaver and the Merciless violence of the Horde army. It almost became too much and almost caused Ingenuitous and Astor to give up their beloved kingdom.

However in their great time of need a hero by the name of Mara came and helped them. With the use of her alter ego She-Ra, a powerful and magical female heroine, and a group of the kingdom's most powerful magic users they defeated the enemy. Through the power of goodness, magic, and truth they showed muchof their enemy the error of their ways, and managed to turn most of its own forces against the Horde. Through their bravery they stripped the Hordes sorceress of her power, took back their kingdom, and defeated the leader of the Horde.

The kingdom then enjoyed a period of peace, a time where love and forgiveness were present within all citizens. This inspired the Queen and Kingeven, even with the memories of the late war, out of the kindness of their hearts to allow the soldiers and members of the Horde who wanted to become citizens themselves. Many happily accepted this wonderful opportunity while others chose to rebel and commit crimes against the King and Queen. Meanwhile others wanted to destroy the peace and take the power of the Queen and King for themselves. This was the greatest desire of none other than Shadow Weaver, who hungered for the power she lost and more.

The Whispering Woods

It was a quiet and eerie night in the Whispering Woods and yet all was calm. However a rustling and struggling noise seemed to break the calm as if someone was trying to walk through the deep thick brush. Eventually as the noise persisted a figure pushed through the brush looking absolutely ragged and ruined. This figure was none other than the Horde sorceress Shadow Weaver. She looked absolutely awful with her tattered fuschia and black robe, wildly messy long black hair, and a highly damaged and scarred face.

"That wretched She-Ra and her goons will pay for this, stripping me of my power and beauty. A whole armada beaten by a girl and a small group of magic users, how humiliating." Shadow Weaver grumbled.

She continued to unsteadily walk, feeling very weak from her drained powers, pushing all that interferes with her path out of the way. For what seemed like hours she walked through the forest till she came to a clearer patch of it and rested on a fallen tree.

"But how to do that, with no powers I couldn't possibly get revenge on She- Ra or even the Queen and King for that matter."

Out of desperation Shadow Weaver tried to cast a spell but was only able to get a faint glow from her hands, a shameful reminder of her lack of power. She then just sat there and moped over her loser power, her craving for it now stronger than ever. It was then as she sat Shadow Weaver began to notice a golden light twinkling in the distance. Curious about the source she painfully stood up and hobbled towards the light. She eventually came up to a wall of vines that released bits of the light as they swayed in the breeze. Shadow Weaver then moved the vines and found herself in a small cave that led out to an open field surrounded by a great wall of rock. But what really caught her attention was none other than the source of the light, a great big golden gem in the middle of the field.

"Could that be?" Shadow Weaver thought curiously.

She hobbled up to the giant gem and cautiously went to touch it. As soon as her hand made contact with it Shadow Weaver felt energy and power fill her body.

"A Runestone, how perfect. With this in my hands I could stand a chance at taking the kingdom for myself." Shadow Weaver smiles maliciously.

Shadow Weaver then turned still touching the Runestone and started to cast a spell. A purple magic circle started to appear before her and the wind rushed around the circle.

"Yes! With the power of this Runestone I'll be more powerful than be…" Shadow Weaver began to gloat until she let go of the Runestone to use her other hand and the magic circle disappeared.

"What! What happened, why did it disappear?!" Shadow Weaver said frustrated at her magic.

Shadow Weaver then touched the Runestone again and attempted the spell again. Once again it started to work giving Shadow Weaver a realization as to what was going on.

"Ugh of course, I can't harness the Runestone's power without physically touching it. This does provide a problem but no matter I have plenty of time to study its power and learn how to use it myself, and when I do the kingdom will be mine." Shadow Weaver said maliciously as she then turned to the Runestone.

For the next year she would study the stone but she wouldn't learn how to harness it until a certain something or someone came into her hands.

The Kingdom

One Year Later

Meanwhile as time had passed in the kingdom rather exciting news had come to the Queen and King, they were going to have a baby. Everyone in the kingdom was very excited and doing all that they could to prepare for the arrival of its first heir. Then on a beautiful spring day came a beautiful purple haired little girl Ingenuitous and Astora named Entrapta. From the moment she was born neither parent had words to describe how much they loved and adored her. It was a very happy day for the royal couple as well as all the kingdom's subjects.

However as the months passed and the princess grew everyone began to notice interesting things about the little girl. It started with her already thick purple hair which seemed to move on its own no matter what you tried to do with it. Then as she reached three months old it seemed as if she could do basic math. She would trace out numbers and simple equations in any way she could and was able to keep track of how many times she was fed, played with, or just about anything one could count.

The big incident was when at only seven months old Entrapta snuck into her father's lab. For hours no one could find her that day sending the whole castle staff and household into a panic. Eventually Astora and Ingenuitous found her happily building little robots and inventing other contraptions that made her giggle madly. It was at that moment the Queen and King realized their princess was in fact a gifted and genius child. They immediately were overjoyed and excited about their daughters gift knowing it would impact the kingdom and even all of Etheria greatly.

For months the proud parents watched as their infant daughter's knowledge and natural skill grew beyond that of the average baby. Soon Entrapta was building machines, solving more complex equations, and even inventing, an interest that made her father very excited to enjoy with her. Her mother on the other hand was quite excited to share and do research with her daughter wanting to share and discover all the secrets she could with her. However in their excitement both parents failed to see the danger it brought to their baby girl's life, a neglected fact that would lead to a great tragedy.

The princess was about a year old and it was a night just like any other night. All were asleep and it was completely quiet in the castle, not a noise could be heard in the entire palace. But that was what made it perfect for an intruder to sneak into the castle. That night Shadow Weaver snuck into the castle on the hunt for more knowledge on Runestones.

In that year Entrapta was born Shadow Weaver had researched and studied her Runestone. She had learned much about it and it's capabilities but one thing she couldn't seem to learn was how to use its power herself without having to touch it. So that night Shadow Weaver decided to break in to raid the Queen and Kings library for information. She figured with Queen Astora being a major researcher and the fact that the group of magic users who stripped her of her power all used Runestones that they must have some information on them.

However the big problem was she didn't know where the castle's library was, so she had to guess and check all the rooms. For over an hour Shadow Weaver silently checked and checked the castles rooms. She almost gave up when she came upon the nursery of Entrapta. Nervous she just about closed the door when she noticed something interesting. Inside her crib Entrapta was not asleep but playing with something that made a lot of noise. Slightly interested Shadow Weaver creeped close to the crib and watched in amazement as the little princess used her tiny hands and her already long purple hair to build a little contraption.

Shadow Weaver couldn't believe her eyes, she had heard rumors of the little princess's already advanced intelligence on her small excursions to town, but she never believed them. But here before her was the genius infant princess inventing and tinkering. In the stupefying effect of her awe she failed to notice Entrapta looking curiously and gleefully at her. As Entrapta looked at her she noticed a faint golden glow coming from the pocket of the sorceress's fuschia robe. Quickly the baby girl used her hair to reach through the bars of the crib and into the pocket of Shadow Weaver. It was immediately after that Shadow Weaver broke from her spell of awe and notice the little princess's actions.

"What the! What are you doing little brat!" Shadow Weaver quietly shouted as the purple hairs infant stole a golden little orb from her pocket.

The orb was none other than a little piece of the Runestone Shadow Weaver had managed to carve out to bring for her research.

"You give that back to me!" Shadow Weaver shouted as she ran to the crib only to stop in her tracks.

It was then she realized what Entrapta was doing after she grabbed the Runestone. The little infant princess immediately integrated it with her little contraption and started to tinker with it. Shadow Weaver watched in awe as she fiddled and experimented till at last the machine itself started to glow seemingly powered by the Runestone. Entrapta adorably clamped and giggled with glee at her little contraption proud of her work.

"Ience!" Entrapta seemed to shout in her little baby voice almost as if she was trying to shout science.

Amazed at the little girl's abilities and intellect Shadow Weaver smiled evilly as she got a very brilliant idea.

"I believe you little princess are the key to my domination. With intelligence like yours I just might be able to succeed with my plan to take over this kingdom. How would you like to come with me, little one, I think you and I would make a fantastic team." Shadow Weaver said maliciously as she scooped up Entrapta and her device from her crib.

Entrapta looked at her confused and almost immediately began to fuss, not being a big fan of strangers.

"No no no no shhh shh!" Shadow Weaver said as she tried to calm the princess but it was too late as Entrapta wailed, alerting the castle.

"The princess is crying! Something must be wrong she never cries!" A guard yelled from outside.

Almost immediately guards burst into the room to discover Shadow Weaver holding the crying princess. Out of panic Shadow Weaver bolted and jumped through the window to escape.

"Shadow Weaver! Guards quick alert the Queen and King the sorceress has the princess, quickly!"

Panic filled the castle as they organized to go after Entrapta and rescue her. Once they were organized enough they chased after Shadow Weaver, the angry king included, desperate to save the little princess.

"You come back with my daughter!" Ingenuitous yelled filled with rage.

Shadow Weaver made no response desperate to get away but knew she could never put run them with how far away her hideout was. But as she ran an idea came into her head on how to escape. While it was not very strong the sorceress had a little bit of stored power left that could teleport her back but it would completely drain her. However with the princess with her and the ability she could give her to control the Runestone it wouldn't matter.

"Say goodbye little princess, you'll be coming with me for a very long time." Shadow Weaver said evilly as she pulled out a little vile of white dust.

She stopped in her tracks and then turned towards the army see them face to face.

"Goodbye my friends and thank you for your princess, I'll take care of her very well, I promise!"

"No!" The king cried out as he tried to run faster, but it was too late.

Shadow Weaver threw the vile on the ground and in a plume if black purple flames disappeared before everyone's eyes. Everyone was dead silent as it sunk in that the princess was kidnapped and no one knew where she was. The king fell to his knees and sobbed as he mourned over his beloved daughter cursing the heavens as his heart was stolen before his eyes and there was nothing he could do to get it back

The Whispering Woods

A plum of black purple flames appeared near the Runestone and out of them came a very weak Shadow Weaver and a crying Entrapta. Despite the pain Shadow Weaver crawled towards the Runestone till she at last could touch it. Immediately she was recharged and Shadow Weaver regained her strength. She then sat back against the Runestone and focused on soothing Entrapta.

"Shhh shh shh little princess there's no need to cry, I will take care of you child," Shadow Weaver said as he gently cradled and rocked Entrapta to sleep.

Once the little girl was asleep Shadow Weaver smiles evilly.

"Prepare yourself Entrapta you are about to be given the greatest opportunity to use your talents ever imagined. Together we will take your kingdom for myself and we will build an empire more powerful than any other known before. So sleep well my little genius for hard work and a long road lies ahead of us." Shadow Weaver monologues as she cradled the sleeping princess dreaming of the great and terrible things they would do together.

For many years after that night the princess was searched for by everyone in the kingdom but no one was successful. And in that time Shadow Weaver built a tower to hide her little inventor princess in. A place secluded from the world where Entrapta could invent and build for her with no outside interference. For seventeen years she stayed there growing for a little infant to a young woman. But as her knowledge grew so did her curiosity of the outside world slowly leading her to the adventure that would bring her back home.
