A/N: Btw I am going off of My own version of Green Hills, and other things so I can write this story better! Please don't hate me for modifying the story and game altogether! Also, their designs are from Sonic X, but they're in the old games... Odd

Sonic was running through Green Hills when he saw a tall... rotting rabbit? He just shrugged it off and made it to Tails' house.

Once he was inside, he saw Tails working on a machine that seemed cool.

"Yo! Tails! What's this?" Sonic asked.

"Oh! Sonic! You made it!" Tails said gleefully.

"Yup! I always make it on time!" He said, putting his hands behind his head and pretending to relax.

"I've made a machine that'll track some of the Chaos Emeralds! Isn't that neat?" Tails asked.

Sonic looked at the thing. It looked like it made a beam of light, and it had a panel at the front.

"Dude, it's cool and all, but how does it work?" Sonic asked.

"Well, it picks up a signal from a Chaos Emerald, sending a beacon up to where the Chaos Emerald would be, then it sends down to where the emerald is!" Tails said.

"Cool, but don't ya need like, a satellite to do that?" Sonic asked.

Tails froze, then face palmed. "Dangit! I didn't think of that!" Tails said angrily.

"Woah! Calm down, Tails!" Sonic said calmly.

"Sorry! I never got that far into thought." Tails said.

"It's fine, Tails." Sonic said.

Just then, Amy Rose and Knuckles the Enchid came in, worried.

"Hey! Sonic! Tails! We got something weird roaming around the forest!" Knuckles said.

"Oh geez. Let's go guys!" Sonic said, going to run out the door.

Sonic and his friends made it to The Lush Forest (something I just made up), looking around for this thing. Sonic was just walking around, looking at everything.

"I know this forest's scary, but this is a whole new level! I feel like I'm being watched!" Sonic said out loud.

Sonic looked around, seeing a pair of eyes as his eyes blazed the trees. He quickly looked back, seeing them gone. What on Mobius? he thought. He then heard shuffling, and looked in that direction. Nothing was there. He was confused. He began backing up, and bumped into a metal object. Sonic turned to face it, and saw that tall rotting bunny from before. It stared at him, and he screamed.

"No no! Please! I-" the bunny began.

"YOU CAN TALK?!" Sonic screamed.

"Y-yea, but I need help!" the bunny asked.

"Wh-what?" Sonic asked.

"You see, I am lost and I cannot find my way back to my universe. Can you help me, blue hedgehog?" the bunny asked.

"U-uh... sure? How'd you even get here?" Sonic asked.

He heard his friends coming up to him, so he turned to face them.

Amy burst through the bushes, holding her hammer. "WHERE IS IT, SONIC?!" Amy screamed.

Tails and Knuckles came through too, looking around. Sonic looked behind him, but that bunny was gone.

"Wha?! He was just here!" Sonic said, confused.

"Who?" Tails asked.

"It-it was a tall, rotting, animatronic bunny! It was just here!" Sonic said.

"Are you going coo-coo, Sonic? There was nothing here!" Knuckles said, disbelief in his voice.

Sonic rolled his eyes. "Nevermind. Let's just go back!" he said, going past them.

"Sonic, are you-" Tails began.

"I'm fine, yes." Sonic said.

His friends looked at him, sorry in their eyes. Sonic just sighed, as he continued down to Tails house.
