Chapter 1: Winter Story
W-when exactly did this happened...?
Uhm... Just now... Honestly, I don't actually know how it all happened...
What do you mean...?
Well... I guess, my feelings for him started when we started to hang out more.
...
And as we went on... I got to see some of the rarest sides of him...
Y-yeah... He can be a real softie when it comes to... "certain" conditions...
He really cares for other people, its just... His drive to become the very best in the whole world is clogging up his mind...
Y-yeah... I know that... More than anyone ever did...
Uhm... The thing that I actually wanted to say to you is that...
...
I've had feelings for you... For the longest time since last year, but when... Katsuki came along, everything just seemed to-
Click in place?
...yeah...
Look, whatever it is... I'm happy for you... and I'm just really happy that you became my first friend in the longest time...
...you seem sad about it...
...I'm just really bummed that I have to call you "Bakugo-san" from now on, hehe... It doesn't really fit...
H-hey c'mon! I-its not like we're getting married so soon!
Hey, you and Kacchan became a couple. I've got to be prepared for anything! Haha!
Hehe. Since when have you become so snarky, Deku-kun?
...
Deku-kun?
...
Are you okay...?
... don't call me that.
...D-Deku-kun...?
... don't call me that.
Ever.
Again.
To say that a lot has happened in the past one year would be an understatement, for the new Class 2-A. It was a wild rollercoaster, filled with emotion, action, pain, and resolve.
Yes, a lot has happened...
Tomura Shigaraki and his band of misfits that he calls "villains" are still on the loose. Following the defeat and tragic death of All Might's greatest foe — All for One — has really pushed U.A. into more unnecessary spolights for the world to see.
It really defeats the point in them wanting to keep a low profile, but hey, that's what you get when a group of students from your school starts doing heroic deeds before they even graduate from the school and do their heroic deeds.
A group of first year students, at that...
It was the usual routine for the previous Class 1-A; they get in trouble because some of their classmates get into trouble.
The only difference that time is that they got in trouble as a whole.
They ignored every warning that was given to them and helped the pros fight whatever The League of Villains threw at them.
And Class 1-A's problem child was at the center of it all.
He went into an awakened state and he started to use more than just his strength-augmenting and black tendril quirks.
They were really going at it.
A personal matter, for the both of them.
Izuku Midoriya's final blow on All for One's skull was enough to make him hit the hay...
...Forever...
He said he didn't remember much of it and that he only remembered the parts where they helped the heroes fought of the lower-ranking villains.
They weren't going to risk making him remember it. They all have witnessed war. It can do some unimaginable things to one's psychological health.
But it was okay now. They all made it safe and sound. It was nothing short of a miracle that even the green-haired wonder made it.
Sadly, even their resident grapist made it, as well.
The green-haired boy's injuries were not really minor, but they were not really major either, mostly thanks to Recovery Girl and his new healing factor quirk.
Speaking of new quirks, it turns out those quirks he used to defeat All for One were a one time thing. He still had the strength augmenting and black tendril quirk, he just can't activate the other ones. But when he's asked he always says the same thing...
" I don't really know how they're activated, or how they managed to squirm their way into me. But I feel like I can obtain them again, when the time is right..."
That irresponsible act was almost enough to get all of them expelled from U.A. High. If it wasn't for the fact that they were a huge help in defeating the villains and in rescuing citizens that were getting caught in the cross-fire.
Of course their parents gave them a spank or two, but nevertheless, each parent was proud of their own child.
They were lucky enough to even make it to their second year of high school.
But for once, ever since the year before, they felt different.
For once they felt, normal.
They felt safe.
They were finally allowed to live their lives without that much fear.
They were happy.
A lot of things happened in the past year.
But if they were given the chance to go back in time and change something...
May 3, 2XX1. 14:20 P.M.
They would definitely change how the school's system works!
Their first month in U.A. High as second year students and they already have one tedious practical test!
Their objective, go in as a class and get out of a huge maze.
Seems simple enough, right?
Wrong.
Turns out the U.A. staff even managed to make countermeasures for whenever students try and cheat the maze.
Like let's say, blasting off the ground, using their explosive hands, and headed straight upwards and head straight for the finish line would get you the worst case of a Kaminari's electric chair hug right about now.
Bakugo, their resident mad lad, found that out the hard way. Even if they had already warned them to not do whatever it is Bakugo even attempted to do.
If you think that a simple trap like that's all there is in this maze, you are wrong once more.
They managed to sneak in some of the Zero-Pointer robots from the entrance exam before they were even first years of the school.
The first fork in their path and their plan was to separate into 3 groups, each group will choose one path and use Yaoyorozu's quirk-made earpieces in terms of communication. The class' opinion was split in half, fearing that if one group found the exit, it would definitely prove to be difficult for the others to take the path the right group has taken. In the end they chose the earlier option, as more groups would lead to more grounds being covered.
Before the class vice president even get the chance to make the earpieces a Zero-Pointer rounded the corner from the right path.
Their first mistake: Thinking that the school haven't made any modifications to the robots.
Bakugo quickly charged at the robot to blast it to kingdom come.
HOWITZER...
He started to spin as he charged at the robot in the spiral of smoke and brimstone.
He held out his open palm to the robot's metal shell.
IMPACT!
Surprisingly, Bakugo was sent flying to one of the paths, as the blast was redirected back at him.
"Katsuki!"
Uraraka followed wherever Bakugo flew to.
Turns out the metal those robots are made out of now are something called vibranium. Apparently the school staff managed to obtain some of it from the place called "Wakanada" or something.
Eitherway, the robots were now more of a bad news.
The robot started showing some big guns and pointed it straight at the students.
Fight or flight. They chose flight.
The robot started firing at them using mock explosives, of course.
In the midst of the chaos, the students were all avoiding the right pathway as it was the direction where the robot came from. The students would either choose the front pathway or the left pathway, the one where Bakugo was flown off to.
Surprisingly, only 2 students managed to use the right pathway.
One of them was a girl with short purple hair styled into a bob cut, while her earlobes are stretched to a lengthy size and the tip being jacks.
The other was a boy who had curly and messy black hair with green highlights, green lightning trailed from his body as he ran as fast as he could towards the path he would go.
Neither students saw each other, nor were they aware that it was just the two of them who took the path.
The explosions had sent them into a state of adrenaline rush, both didn't bother looking back and only kept running where they had ran into.
It took a while for Kyoka Jiro to notice that she was running at marathon speed and traveled at marathon distance.
Once she did, she let her body slouch down, and placed her hands on her knees and took deep pants. She almost felt like puking after that. She really needs to improve her stamina, by a lot. This had been the biggest issue she had when she was in pursuit of a mugger in her internship with Death Arms last year.
She looked back to where she came from, and luckily, the Zero-Pointer seemed to have chased some other group. But who's to say that's the only robot here?
That would mean that she'll need to fight that robot alone or run away again, but even then there's no guarantee that it won't chase someone else this time. Stupid vibranium.
She then remembered something in the midst of all the chaos. She saw a green streak right beside her and then went ahead in full speed when she was running away from the robot.
' Then that would mean that Midoriya's up ahead, right? If so, I'll just have to catch up to him...' she thought back for a moment before correcting herself.
' Actually, there's no catching up to that guy. Unless, he goes the wrong way and backtracks and we meet up... Yeah, I'm just gonna hope that's what happens.' truth be told, she just reallydon'twant to fight one of those robots alone, and having someone like Midoriya in your team can almost guarantee that you'll live another day.
She started her expedition and kept on running forward, hoping to meet up with her green-haired classmate.
And then what? Even if they took the right path and somehow stumbled upon the exit, they would have no way of communicating with their other classmates. That would mean that they had to go back for them, right?
' It's not like I have any problems with it. It just seems a bit of a pain in the ass. And its Midoriya that I'm gonna be meeting up with, of all people. The dude doesn't know how to stop saving people.' She smiled at the thought of Izuku Midoriya being so tired to even stand and yet when it came to saving people, her classmate seems to regain that energy to go beyond Plus Ultra.
' That was cringey.' she chuckled as she continued to trek the long hallway. It was a miracle that she hadn't reached diverging pathways, yet.
Until she did.
And there he was, his back turned to her and, presumably, with his arms crossed. He seemed to be deep thought — trying out different solutions, in his head, on how to overcome a 50 - 50 chance of success. They were currently presented with 2 choices: left or front.
That would mean that they were currently at the edge of the right side of the maze.
That cuts their choices down by a bit. Even then, if they still haven't found the exit they could probably spend all of eternity in the damned maze.
' Let's just focus on the path that the both of us chose, and work from there.' Kyoka shook her head and walked towards her broccoli haired classmate. The sounds of her footsteps was the only sound that was heard echoing in the hallway, at least for her.
"Midoriya?"
He seemed to jolt up in response. He turned to look back at the purple haired hero-in-training. "Jiro-san?"
No stutter. Weird.
"Seems like we're the only ones that went this way, huh?" She crossed her arms.
He turned to look back at the two paths that they were given. "Seems so."
It didn't sound right. His tone.
He seemed different.
It was none of her business to point that out and they were barely in the area of 'friends' and more on the 'acquaintances' area. In the end, she just shrugged it off, "So, got any plans?"
He turned back to her, "Well this is the path where the Zero-Pointer came from, so I assumed that it entered the maze through here. Meaning, that it must've entered through the exit."
Jiro sweated bullets, ' Crap. I haven't even thought of that at all. I just ran to which one was nearest to me, and hoped the others would've followed. I was panicking goddammit! You can't blame me for valuing my life!'
"But, mostly, it was just a panicked choice. There's so much happening and I just went with my gut." Izuku managed to let out a smile.
Jiro didn't know why, but the moment he let out that smile, it felt wrong and forced. She clenched her fist, and gritted her teeth. ' Seriously, does he have a problem with me? He seemed annoyed at something.' It took all she had to not let her eyebrows twitch.
"So, do you have, like, a plan?" She went straight to the point, fearing that she just might jab her jacks into Midoriya.
"Well, I was considering splitting up..."
' God no...'
"But then there's just the two of us here, so it would be pretty dangerous to trek into unknown territory on our own. Considering that there's Zero-Pointers, made of vibranium out there."
Kyoka finally let out a breath, she didn't know she was holding. "Have you made a choice, in which direction we're going?"
"I was actually hoping that you could help me with that."
"What do you mean?"
He pointed to the two hallways, with both his arms raised and pointing to the said hallways. "Can you use your sound blasts and check which direction the sound lasts longer?"
"Why do I have to do that?" she raised an eyebrow.
"It's kinda like echolocation, like bats we need to produce sounds to know if a pathway is a dead end or not. Whichever path produced the longest sound, is the right one."
Kyoka was in awe. She never would've thought to do that. Yup, Midoriya is definitely the the wildcard when it comes to these things. 'Brains and brawns in one package.'
She and Izuku switched places and she looked at both hallways before plugging her jacks to her black jacket. Izuku covered his ears.
With every invention Hatsume Mei invented, Hatsume Mei would produce something much more crazier than the one before that. And it was only a matter of time that Hatsume can create things like these...
Using the jacket as sort of a speaker — like the ones at her boots — the sound of her heartbeat is amplified by at least a thousand more decibels. It wasn't that she had forgotten her own speaker boots, she just seemed to have grown accustomed to her jacket. Plus, its kinda badass.
The pros of using her jacket is that she can cover a much larger area of effect, and she can pick which spot the sound would come out of the jacket. With a few tweaks, Hatsume managed to let Jiro increase or decrease the volume of the sound produced through the jacket.
But enough about that. Time to see what this new baby can do.
Jiro turned around from the hallways and directed to sound to come out of the back of her jacket.
LUB
DUB
And just like that the sound of her heartbeat went of into the two pathways.
She closed her eyes and listened closely to how the sounds traveled. She cupped her ears using her hands, amplifying just how much she can hear.
A few minutes had passed and she found her answer.
She pointed to the left.
Just like that, they were off.
They were cautious in their trek down the path, at the same time frantically searching the exit.
They've done the same strategy every time they would have to choose between the diverging pathways.
But so far... No vibranium- made robots.
It was weird for U.A. to only just put one robot— to give the students some challenge— and just call it a day.
No. No, they weren't that careless.
Those robots are somewhere in this maze.
' But where?' Jiro thought deeply.
"If you're thinking about where the other robots are, I'm guessing that they must be guarding the exit." Izuku said while he kept on running, his back facing the purple- haired teen.
Again. His tone seem harsh and annoyed. Kyoka can pick up any tone in someone's voice, no matter how subtle it may be.
She chose to ignore it, once more. But she swears, on her father's life, if she heard that tone again, she might've done something to Midoriya by then.
They were met with another diverging pathways. Three of them this time. It was weird. This was the first time they've come across 3 diverging paths.
Nevertheless, Kyoka prepared to plug her jacks into her jacket once more, but Midoriya stopped her.
She raised an eyebrow at him.
"So that's their goal all along..." Izuku muttered, mostly to himself.
"Huh?" Kyoka was even more confused now.
"They sent out that Zero-Pointer to split us into groups. And those 3 pathways we saw first, as a class, was an entrance that would lead to their own little mazes."
"Okay. Meaning what?" She unplugged her jacks from her jacket.
"They were testing us on how we would overcome this obstacle, with a random group."
Again. Jirou just can't get enough, of how grateful she is that Midoriya is the one with her, right now.
He looked back to where they came from. Then to the left path, then the front, then the right.
"Three pathways were presented to us. And we chose the right." He pointed back to the hallway they came from. "Meaning these 2 are the other choices." He meant the front and left pathways.
A light bulb, comically appeared on Kyoka's head. "Meaning the right one is the exit, right?"
"That seems to be the jist of it." Midoriya pondered, before walking with Jiro to a square room at the end of the hallway.
And just like that, the door to the exit presented itself to them.
Izuku walked towards it.
"Wait!" Kyoka called out to him, and he responded by turning looking back at her. "Don't you think that maybe this is a trap? It is a square room after all."
He looked back towards the door. "Maybe..." And he started walking again. "But I'm willing to risk it."
"Yeah, but what about the others? Shouldn't we go back for them?"
He stopped walking, but didn't turn around.
His clenched his fists.
His shoulders were stiff.
After regaining his thoughts, he relaxed and kept his back turned to Jiro.
"They need to figure this out on their own. That's the test, after all."
Jiro's mouth opened slightly, her eyes widened. This was a first for Midoriya. Even if it was a test, he would've turned back to save them. Sure, she was complaining about it being a 'pain in the ass' but she secretly hoped that they would get to save their classmates, since Midoriya was the one with her.
But no.
He just wanted to exit the maze and be done with it.
She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth against each other. Her brows meeting each other, they could be considered a unibrow.
That's it.
She speedwalked to towards her classmate and grabbed his shoulder tightly, and forcefully turned him around to face her.
She grabbed the cloth of his green jumpsuit, like she was grabbing someone's collar. His facial features showed, surprise at first, but then turned to that of annoyance. But she was the annoyed one here dammit! And by God, she was going to give him quite a mouthful.
"Listen here, Midoriya, whatever your problem may be, it doesn't give you the right to be an ass and feel like you deserve a break from helping people!" She kept her teeth gritted.
"That's not what heroes do!"
She pushed him away from her.
"You of all people know that!"
Izuku's eyes widened. His thoughts seemed to have been brought somewhere else.
"You know that, more than anyone else!"
"I know that... More than anyone else..."
" Tsk..." Izuku clicked his teeth.
He reminisced for a bit before heading straight for the exit again. Seemingly, ignoring whatever Kyoka said.
AAAAAAGGGHHHHH!
They heard the sound of electricity crackling and Mineta screaming.
Kyoka looked back and saw that Mineta was somehow in the air and triggered the booby trap. How he got up there was anyone's guess.
But Midoriya.
He didn't even bother batting an eye, and just kept on walking.
They both know that Mineta was scum and the worst of the worst. But not scummy enough to not bat an eye when he's in excruciating pain. He still had his moments.
She looked back at Midoriya, hoping that would convince him to turn back...
But he didn't.
"They're just right behind us." Midoirya suddenly spoke. "It's only a matter of time, before they finish..."
"Yeah, but that doesn't give us an excuse to not help them." Kyoka said.
"Look, the test said that we enter the maze as a class. They didn't say we have to exit it as one, though." His tone was harsh. Impatient. Wanting to get this done as soon as possible.
' Just what is he running away from?' Kyoka pondered, before looking back to the direction of Mineta's scream.
"Look, if you want to help the others escape this maze, then be my guest." He was nearing the exit, with the full intent of leaving his purple- haired classmate behind.
She thought for a moment, about what her green- haired classmates said. True her classmates were almost to the exit, but still, there's a chance that they may get lost. And they've only heard from one group, they didn't know about the other. The logical choice would be to go to them and try to help, but without knowing where her classmates are, she could end up lost and be stuck in the maze. Sure, she could try what she and Midoriya had done to get to the others but that would just confuse her even more. She almost couldn't follow when they tried it in their own maze. So in other words, if she tried helping, there's a chance she might make things worse.
She sighed. ' I'm sorry everyone.'
She started to walk towards the exit. Feeling a bit guilty, but its for the best.
15:00 P.M. Spectator Room
"Oh! You're the first ones here!" Midnight, their new homeroom teacher, said in her playful tone, once she saw Izuku and Kyoka. "And with 10 minutes to spare! Good job!"
"Yeah..." Kyoka looked solemn. "Thanks, Kayama-sensei..."
"Why the long face, Kyoka dear?" Midnight looked worried for Kyoka.
"Its just..." She seemed to hesitate. "I wanted to go back there and help them..."
"It's best if they get through this on their own." Izuku said while he stared at the screen— that showed how their classmates are fairing, in terms of their own mazes.
A tick appeared on Kyoka's head. "This guy..." she grumbled.
This didn't go unnoticed to Nemuri. "He's going through a lot."
Kyoka looked at her teacher with a curious look in her eyes.
"I've seen this a lot in my time as a student." Nemuri put her hands on her hips. "People, like him, are the type to keep their feelings bottled up and just waiting to be popped open, like a champagne."
"I just don't get why he has to act this way. Even if he's going through something, it doesn't give him the right to be a dick." Kyoka whispered to their teacher.
"First of all, language." Nemuri flicked her fingers to her student's ear, which Kyoka responded with a yelp and rubbed her ear. "And second of all, expressing one's feelings isn't that simple, y'know."
Kyoka can't help but pout, a little, at that statement. But it isn't fair to redirect your anger to someone else just because your troubled.
The sound of the door whirring open was heard behind them.
The second group emerged from the door. The students consisted of Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Mineta, Tsuyu, Aoyama, Ashido, and Sero.
Surprisingly, they looked like crap. Their hair sprawled all over the place, their face filled with distress and panic — including Todoroki — and they were covered with some pink substance and drenched in their own sweat.
"Whoa..." Jiro opened her mouth. "What happened to you guys?"
None of them answered and just went past Kyoka and their teacher and sat down on the chairs displayed for them. Todoroki and Yaoyorozu sat together and looks of distress all over their face alongside a couple of their hair strands. Heck, they probably didn't even know that their hands were holding right now...
...
Wait, what?
"The Zero-Pointer went after them." Nemuri whispered to her purple- haired student.
' So that's why Mineta was electrocuted, earlier...' Kyoka pondered.
She looked back at Izuku, who still kept his attention directly at the screen. He seemed invested in watching Bakugo's group, for some reason.
She felt a hand grab her shoulder. She turned to look at who it was, it was her pink- skinned classmate, Mina Ashido.
She had a mischievous and excited look on her face.
She leaned in and whispered to her rocker classmate. "Are we ready for the celebration, later?"
"Celebration?" Jiro asked.
"Y'know. The Bakugo thing."
Kyoka is even more confused now.
' The 'Bakugo Thing' ? What the hell is she talk-'
She then remembered and looked back at Ashido and nodded back at her.
"Good! This is gonna be fun!" Ashido was literally skipping towards the screen to watch how Bakugo's group would fair out.
Yeah... Tonight they would celebrate, the impossible...
Heights Alliance Dormitories. 2-A Dorms. 17:10 P.M.
CONGRATULATIONS! BAKUGO AND URARAKA!
Confetti wafted through the air as Kaminari and Kirishima used confetti poppers— that Yaoyorozu made — when Bakugo and Uraraka entered through the entrance.
Their face had a look of surpise. Eyes widened, pupils dilated, and mouth open to the point of their jaw touching the floor.
They looked around and took the different sites displayed before them.
Their living room was littered with all kinds of decorations ranging from balloons to even full-blown neon lights.
Their classmates are scattered across the living room of the doors— most of them had cheek- breaking smiles plastered all across their faces, except for the aloof ones. While Mineta was rolled into a ball on a corner of a room emanating a sinister aura, all the while, muttering some curse— most were just swearing, but some mystical ones were even found exiting the grapist's mouth.
A banner with a "CONGRATS!" written on it.
Different kinds of food were displayed all across the table, and some red cups and colas were on the nook near the kitchen area.
They were so confused.
Ashido walked up to them, put her hands on each of their shoulder, and gave them a wide grin. "I am sooooo Proud of you two!" she tackled them in a bear hug.
"What the fuck's goin' on…?" Bakugo couldn't help but feel baffled at the sight before him. He couldn't bring himself to be angry, this was just too pure.
Ashido stopped hugging them, but her smile remained. "This is us congratulating you two on becoming a couple!" she jumped up and down.
Bakugo's cheeks flushed, alongside his girlfriend's. They weren't sure how their classmates found out, they made sure they were discreet about it in the last few months. Every time their hands would hold each other, every time they would go out of the dorms to go on a date, every movie marathon their class ever held, every make out sessions they would have after or before classes. All of it!
So how the fuck did they know?!
"Mineta caught you guys on camera, last week." Ashido said, in an uninterested tone and, using her thumb, pointed to the balled up grape at the corner of the room— who had bloodshot eyes.
Bakugo looked at the purple- haired pervert of the room, and held his palm out, to show sparks of explosion coming out of his hands.
"This, son of a bitch…" Every word he said, had ranged to a very angry tone to a monster wanting to murder everyone on the planet. Which is still normal, in terms of a Bakugo rage list.
He started to walk towards the pervert, but was stopped with Uraraka grabbing his hand. He turned around in confusion and shock, he knew the look his girlfriend was giving him. And he hates it. But they weren't given much of a choice.
"Katsuki, it's probably best for us, to just outright say it now. Besides, that way you can sleep on my shoulder no matter how long it may be." Uraraka tease made the ash blonde, turn into a tomato.
He scratched the back of his head, not making any eye contact with his classmates or his girlfriend.
But she's right, and he hates that she's always right.
He growled and groaned for a bit before letting go of Uraraka's hand and facing his classmates, with flushed cheeks. "Y-yeah, it's true…"
Kaminari decided to use this opportunity to get back at Bakugo. He let out a teasing grin and wiggled his eyebrows. "What is 'true'?"
A tick appeared on Bakugo's forhead, he swears that he'll get back at the Pikachu knock off later.
He closed his eyes tightly and suddenly grabbed Uraraka's hand and interlocked their fingers. His cheeks turning red like there's no tomorrow.
"IT'S TRUE THAT ME AND CHEEKS ARE DATING, OKAY?! I CONFESSED TO HER JUST BEFORE SCHOOL STARTED, OKAY?!" he yelled and his eyes are still tightly closed.
He slowly opened them later and found that all of them had a smile on their faces and a soft reflection from their eyes.
Wait, they're crying. Why are they crying?!
"Bakugo's finally said how he truly feels about people. *Sniff* So MANLY!" Kirishima rubbed his eyes using his forearms.
"Yeah, tell me 'bout it." Ashido used her finger to flick a tear and it sparkled through the light.
He looked at his girlfriend to see that she was smiling from ear to ear, "I was originally planning on being the one to tell them, but you seemed so eager to be the one to do that." She giggled and his cheeks kept on flushing as she teased him.
She like this, being the only one who can see this side of him. She liked it a lot.
"Okay everyone, in celebration of Bakugo-san and Uraraka-san becoming a couple, why don't we start eating?" Yaoyorozu clapped.
"Yeah!"
"Sure! Oh man, I hope you didn't get this from Lunch Rush!"
The students of 1-A had now scattered to the table to get a chance to eat all of the amazing dishes displayed before them, before it gets eaten off the list. Mineta wasn't so lucky.
"So who's paying for all of this anyway?" Kaminari asked, while he took a bite on a pizza, with olives and pineapples.
"I have taken the liberty to purchase for most of the dishes." Yaoyorozu beamed.
' Must. PROTECT.' Jiro and Kaminari thought.
"But of course Sato-san took the liberty of baking all of the pastries as well." Yaoyorozu giggled.
Jiro and Kaminari looked at Sato, which startled him, ' Must. Also. PROTECT.'
"Iida-kun." Uraraka called out to their president, in which he responded with looking at her. "Have you see where Deku-ku- Izuku-kun is?" She seemed solemn, when she mentioned the green-haired boy's name.
Iida looked around the living room and true to her point, the green- haired boy was nowhere to be found. Which confused him.
"But, he was just here a minute ago…" Iida pondered. "He must be up his room. Want me to go get him?"
"N-no! There's no need to do that…" She looked pretty down and her shoulders seemed to droop to the ground. "I just wanted to talk to him about something…"
"Oh, okay."
' Midoriya's actually outside, Prez.' Jiro had corrected their robotic president in her thoughts. It's not like she had intended to eavesdrop on them—it's just that hearing Midoriya's name had caught her attention— and who knows, maybe they actually know a thing or two about why Midoriya's acting like a major bitch.
' Hope they fix 'im soon. I'm not gonna be able to handle anymore of him acting like that.' it's not like she had meant that, she's just been really worried for him, it's not like him to push people away and be jerk to anyone. Not that she'd admit that.
Besides she wasn't her friend. But maybe she doesn't have to be…
She can be his hero…
She snickered at the thought, 'Yeah right, as if he'd let me. It's not like I would mind though, it's what heroes are supposed to do.' She was smiling now. A simple thought like helping someone, like Midoriya, made her smile.
Why though?
She scratched her head in annoyance, 'Stupid Midori—
Mada… / Just Like…
'What the hell?'
Her ears picked up something, a voice.
A melodic voice.
Whose? That's the answer she's looking for.
She whipped her head around and kept on searching for the voice. The, oh so, beautiful voice.
"Whatch'a looking for?" Kaminari asked her.
"Not now, Jamming-Yay." She pushed him aside and went outside, leaving her cup on the window sill.
Kaminari held the one she pushed away— that being his shoulder—looking a bit hurt. But he knows better than anyone to not bother Jiro when she was like this, so he shrugged it off.
'No need to be so harsh…'
She can hear an acoustic guitar strumming now. It was beautiful. Every time the string was strummed, it was played to perfection. Whoever he or she may be, they've definitely been playing for some time.
She opened the door after she pushed Jamming-Yay away from her, she's gonna have to apologize later.
But now, she needed to hear who this is.
Okay, the sound was definitely coming from outside, its louder now.
She didn't know why she needed to see whoever this is.
She turned back and rounded the corner of the building. Louder.
She just feels like she needed to see who this is.
They're near.
She needed to hear that voice again.
She's almost there.
That beautiful voice. That sad…
And pained voice…
There he was, Midoriya…
Strumming an acoustic guitar, while sat by the tree just behind the dorm.
It didn't seem like she was seen yet.
And she doesn't plan to.

Everything was…
It was silent…
Never in her life, has Jiro heard something so beautiful…
And sad at the same time…
Midoriya… expressed his feelings through that song…
And it felt wrong for her to hear it.
She kept her back turned to the wall as she slid down and stared off.
Crackle
She heard something spark and turned back to Midoriya, to see him use his quirk and he kept on tightening his grip on the neck of the guitar.
' Wait, if he does that, then it'll -!
With one more squeeze, the neck broke completely in half. The strings seems to be the only thing keeping it together.
Using the part of the neck that was still attached to the body, he used it to slam the guitar to the ground. He used so much force on it, it broke with one slam.
He didn't care he just kept on slamming.
And slamming.
And slamming.
And slamming.
And slamming.
And slamming.
And slamming.
Until he had nothing to slam anymore.
Pieces of his guitar was scattered everywhere, and the guitar had left a crater when he had slammed the guitar multiple times into the dirt.
He was a mess.
It was his own fault.
But he can't accept it.
He sat on the ground and brought his knees to his head.
He wrapped his arms around his knees.
And he cried.
He didn't know what to do anymore.
God, what should he do?
"Midoriya…?"
