Hey everybird! What's up!?

So before we get to the first chapter of this brand new story, I'm going to ramble for a bit, but it is very important that you do read this first before going on with the actual story!

So, as you can clearly see, I have decided to try and do what will be the third and final story in the Blu in Brazil, Jewel in Minnesota series, to complete the trilogy, however it is still like only half a complete idea as of this moment.

Therefore I really would like this story to have a lot of input and suggestions from you all as to how to move this story in the right direction and give the series a satisfying end. I might not do everything, because it might be a little extreme or not possible and everyone is going to have different suggestions, but I will try my best to make compromises and make sure everyone is happy as can be. So please if you have any ideas, share them, because if you don't, than well obviously I don't know about it and can't think about it, I'm not a mind reader!

Also, since this is the third story in the Blu in Brazil, Jewel in Minnesota series, you do have to read the first two before this one! (Okay, maybe not the first one, because that one is so old and trash, but you do have to read at least the second one or else you're going to be confused!)

So I think that's it at the moment, since this is a longer author's note, I'll save the question of the day for the second chapter!

Chapter 1: A New Morning

A peaceful, sunny day in the Amazon rainforest, like always, calm and quiet as in the area of the Blue macaw tribe, protected and safe, in one of the many tree hollows where the tribe lived, an adult male was sleeping soundly, not noticing that the sun was high up and shining its light down on the rainforest. Nothing was going to disrupt his peace, well almost nothing…

"Honey, stop that, I'm sleeping…" The male said as something was brushing against his feathers as whatever it was didn't stop until the male opened his eyes to find multiple red eyes looking down at him as the "Something" hissed at him. "Awww!" The male shouted as he quickly batted away the spider which was dangling above him as a bunch of young teenage blue macaws quickly flew out from the hollow, laughing.

The male, who was now sweating, knew right away who it was as he regained his speech back as one more light blue, slender teenager, began to fly out, but was caught by the male as he grabbed onto the teenager wing before she could fly and escape.

"Seriously?" The male asked. "When is that prank going to get old Tia?"

"Sorry daddy, but never." The teenager laughed as she got her dad to let go of her before hurrying to catch up with her friends as the male sighed.

"Some things never change Blu." The male, Blu, heard a familiar voice as he turned around to see two other females, a light blue slender one, like his daughter but older, and an elder one with darker blue feathers, flying towards him before landing down on the branch next to Blu.

"Jewel, what are you doing up so early?" Blu asked the slender female as he was quite surprised.

"Been out with your mom this morning, doing some exercises and breakfast, you were fast asleep, so I left you to let you rest." The slender female, Jewel, answered.

"Your mate or should I say my daughter in law is getting the hang of things, in fact I think she might replace you son as my favorite child." The elder female with the two joked.

"Haha…" Blu fake laughed. "Very funny mom…"

"Well, I better get to work with the daily tasks, see you two later and son I hope you wake up tomorrow early like your mate did, understood?" Blu's mom, Evelyn, requested.

"Yes ma'am." Blu sighed as Evelyn left to return to her duties, leaving the couple alone as Blu turned to look at Jewel. "Okay, who are you and what did you do to my mate?" Blu joked as Jewel chuckled, then nuzzling her beak against Blu's.

"It's me Blu, you know that, come on you should be getting used to the wild me now." Jewel said as Blu nuzzled back.

"I know, kinda of hard to believe that years ago you were scared of even visiting here." Blu replied. "Well, since I'm up and awake, might as well see my other family members."

"Good idea." Jewel yawned. "I could use a nap right now, see you in a few hours." Jewel said as she gave Blu a quick kiss before entering their family's hollow, laying down and closing her eyes, drifting off to sleep as Blu looked at her the whole time and just smiled, watching her for a few more minutes before leaving to start his own day.

"How did I get this lucky?" Blu wondered as he flew through the tribe, seeking out his other family members and seeing what they were up to.

Years have passed since Blu and Jewel, along with their three kids Brandon, Carlos, and Tia, traveled to the Amazon, finding the Blue macaws once thought extinct and after some unfortunate events, have settled into the tribe, making it their new home. As time went by, the family has changed for the better as Jewel was getting more and more accustomed to the life in the rainforest, getting comfortable and finding her wild side. Meanwhile Blu's three kids grew up from being young to now being full grownup teenagers, adjusting well into the jungle life like their mother and discovering new things. Meanwhile Blu, who was already wild, actually found himself a little more lazy and laid back, but still retaining some aspects of his behavior before as he just enjoyed life as it went on.

Speaking of which, Blu was close to the clay banks as he heard an older male's voice greet him.

"Hey Blu, over here!" The voice called over as Blu looked to see one of his two sons, Carlos, with an elder, more chubby male on the clay banks, relaxing and enjoying the sun.

"Hey Uncle Manuel." Blu smiled as he flew on over and landed down next to them as the elder male came and gave Blu a hug.

"Good to see you nephew, how about you join us with some relaxation." Manuel urged Blu.

"No thanks, I just woke up and I don't think mom would be too happy if she caught me being too lazy." Blu politely rejected as Manuel shrugged his shoulders.

"I wish my sis would just ease up a little…" Manuel sighed. "She can't run the tribe all her life, one day she's going to pass it on to you."

"Yeah, I know, but until than, she is both the tribe leader and my mom, so I can't refuse her all the time." Blu reminded his uncle as he turned to his son. "Where's your brother Carlos?"

"He told us he was going to spend the day with Lily over in the Scarlet tribe…" Carlos rolled his eyes as he mentioned the name of Lily, his brother's scarlet girlfriend. "Those two are most likely nerding out over new plants or bugs they found…"

"Don't be jealous Carlos, you'll find a special someone like your brother." Manuel teased his grand nephew.

"I'm not jealous!" Carlos said loudly as he was blushing bright red, which meant he was jealous.

"Okay uncle, stop teasing my son." Blu told Manuel with a chuckle as he looked at his son. "But, don't worry son, I'm sure one day you'll be as lucky as your brother is." Blu couldn't help but tease his son a little.

"Yeah thanks dad…" Carlos rolled his eyes again.

"Well, I guess I'll see you two later." Blu said as he told the two goodbye for now before taking off yet again.

Blu continued flying about, stretching his wings for the day as he neared the border the Blue macaws shared with the Scarlets as of course for years now the two tribes were at peace and friends, and in even a few cases, like his son Brandon, shared romantic relationships with each other. Heck even Blu's mother was now great friends with her former rival, the leader of the Scarlet tribe, Felicia as the two often met each other to discuss any problems the two tribes were having and to offer help if the other needed it.

As Blu neared the border, up ahead he saw a mixed group of Blue and Scarlets in a formation, flying together as he recognized one of them…

"Hey Roberta." Blu called over as he stopped in midair, catching the attention of the Blue female leading the group as she turned to see Blu, before turning to the rest of the group.

"Continue the patrol without me." The female, Roberta, told the group.

"Yes ma'am." The rest of the group all replied in unison before continuing on as Roberta flew to Blu.

"Blu, finally up and after your mate, I swear she's going to replace you." Roberto joked in the same way as Evelyn did.

"Yeah mom pretty much told me the same thing." Blu said awkwardly. "So, patrols going well?"

"Oh yeah, ever since we started running joint patrols with the Scarlets, there has been less and less danger." Roberta replied. "Why don't we fly and talk, been awhile since it was just us two."

"Alright, but remember, I already have Jewel." Blu agreed to join his best friend on a relaxing fly around the area.

"Like I would ever forget." Roberta said back as Blu rolled his eyes before the two took a nice fly around the area.

Meanwhile, a few miles away from the two tribes…

"You sure she's going to be there honey?" An elder female Blue macaw asked an elder male Blue macaw, the two perched on top of a high up branch as they were overlooking the jungle.

"You saw the human instrument, that female is Jewel, I know it." The male replied, sure of himself.

"I know, it's just it has been so long since we last seen her, the last we saw of her she was just a little chick, she hasn't even learned to fly yet on her own." The female reminding the male. "She has grown up now and of course looks far different, I just hope our patience and travel was worth it."

"It will be, now we better get going if we're to see her." The male reassured the female as the two resumed their flight towards the Blue macaw tribe…

I don't think I need to say who these two are… But I hope you're ready for what comes next!

And again, if you have any ideas or suggestions on how to move this story froward, than please say so below in the reviews!

I think that's it, so…

See everybird later!
