Roberto's New Trainee
Hello again Fanfic lovers! I'm sorry it has been a while since I have written another story! I had quite a lot on my mind but I'm ok now! So in my previous story I focused on the 2nd movie involving Blu scoring the winning goal for his tribe! Now I am sticking to the 2nd movie for the time being but we are going to go back a few scenes! Hope you enjoy! Let's get right to the story!
Blu's POV
Ugh, I'm aching all over my body! I am covered in dirt and snake saliva! I got my tail feathers ripped out by an alligator! And I thought Rafael's son was bad enough! That was the worst possible day of my life!
Honestly, I thought us going to the jungle to find Jewel's family would be good for us! But everyone else seems so happy to be here! But not me, as I am already regretting this decision!
I had a perfect life back in Rio! I had the city, the samba club, the beach and my perfect family! And all of that just wasn't enough was it? No, I arrive here and on the first day we run into Jewel's old, whatever his name is…..Roberto! He constantly flirted with Jewel right in front of me! Dancing with her and the other macaws! Ugh, why did I decide to do this!
So anyway, Eduardo took me out on this training day. Then he pushed me really hard even though he knows that I barely know how to hold my own. And now it seems that I didn't do what he wanted! Surely this cannot get any more humiliating!
Third Person
It was a very hot and glorious day in the Amazon Rainforest. The sun illuminated the crystal blue lagoon that gave the jungle a natural glow. All the macaws were either resting on the clay banks to help moisturise their feathers. Some would fly around the area to talk to neighbours and other tribe members. Then some of them would be sitting in the trees and feasting on berries and Brazil nuts. All except three certain macaws.
"Come on uncle Roberto I'll race you!" Beamed a young blue macaw known as Tiago who was Blu and Jewel's son. He jumped on a lily pad that was floating down the river with Roberto, a tall and muscular macaw riding right next to him.
"Yeah T! You got this buddy!" Roberto beamed with a big smile on his beak as he surfed on a lily pad next to Tiago. They were both laughing while surfing on the pads across the river.
"Tiago! Catch this!" Jewel shouted at her son while throwing a blueberry towards him.
"I got it!" Tiago happily beamed while controlling it with his talons and kicking the berries upwards. But soon Roberto swooped in and chomped on the berries in mid-flight. "Hey!"
Jewel soon picked up a whole branch of berries and greedily bit all of them off the branch while savouring the taste. "Mmmmmmm!"
Blu landed on the branch just opposite from where his wife was. He was quite astonished by his wife's appetite and looked at her with a shocked expression on his face. "Woah," was the only thing he could say. Jewel soon looked up at him while finishing off the rest of the berries.
"Woah, that was so good! Hey, you're back. How…did it go?" Jewel asked him with a slightly confused expression considering she saw him all covered in dirt.
But before Blu could speak, Eduardo landed on the branch in front of him and quickly made an excuse so that Blu wouldn't tell her the truth.
"Oh, we had a great time! It was uh….educational!" Eduardo beamed while giving Blu a facial expression which kind of told him to 'Go with it'. But this conversation was cut short when Tiago flew in with all the excitement in the world.
"Hey dad! You wouldn't believe what uncle Roberto taught me!" His son chirped with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. But hearing his son call Roberto an uncle made Blu flinch a little.
"Uncle Roberto eh, isn't that adorable," Blu replied a little rudely but the others didn't really seem to notice. That was until Roberto kind of looked at him with a worried expression.
"Look! I can fly backwards!" Tiago shouted while showing his dad what he had just learned. This made Roberto smile and he gave him a fist bump.
"Great job T bird!" Roberto replied while he did a secret squawking handshake with Tiago. Jewel just giggled at how silly they were being and Eduardo stepped up and placed a wing around his daughter.
"It's never too late to learn the ways of the jungle…..However some may never learn," Eduardo says the last bit in a quiet voice to Roberto so the others didn't hear. Roberto just looked at him with a very concerned glare while Blu just looked at them in response with an annoyed look.
"I'm gonna go and, clean up!" Blu replied before taking flight and flying to the stream to wash his feathers. Soon Roberto was in deep thought, mainly because he genuinely felt bad for Blu. But he didn't know what to do considering he had spent the whole day with Jewel and the kids. There was only one thing he could do. So he decided to act on it.
"Hey Ed, why don't you take Jewel and Tiago to the clay banks? I'm going to go and work out!" Roberto suggested to the others while flying away from the confused macaws.
"Well, that was weird. But you never know when you need to work out more! Come on I'll take you to the clay banks! I think Mimi is there!" Eduardo remarked while leading both Tiago and Jewel to the other side of the area. But they had no idea about what Roberto was really doing.
Roberto's POV
I genuinely felt bad for the guy! I mean, I know he's not exactly the kind of guy that I expected Ju Ju to be with! But he's sweet, and kind! Plus after what Jewel told me about how Blu saved her from the plane, everyone deserves a second chance!
I mean how to do it though? Yes….I can train him! Maybe if I taught Blu during the night, I could ask Felix to cover for me! Then when Blu trains with Eduardo during the day, he will be impressed by how much he has improved! Yes, it's perfect!
Third Person
Roberto flew past the waterfall at high speed, because he wanted to catch up with Blu who was bathing himself in one of the river banks. Roberto landed right behind Blu and tried to explain to him about his great idea. "Hey buddy, we need to talk," Roberto softly spoke, but it startled Blu and he turned around and slapped him on the face. "Ow! My beak!"
"Cheese and sprinkles! Roberto? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!" Blu annoyingly shouted while placing a wing on his heart.
"No, I came here to help you! I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry, but I got a great idea!" Roberto beamed while rubbing his beak and rubbing the saliva on his wings. But Blu just looked at him with a blank expression before responding in a rude way.
"Aren't you busy teaching my son the ways of the jungle? And trying to seduce my wife?" Blu retorted while crossing his wings. This made Roberto go wide eyed and he lifted his wings up in defence.
"Woah, woah buddy! I'm not trying to steal your wife! She's only a friend and that's it!" Roberto responded while trying to calm Blu down. In response, Blu just took a deep breath and sighed before sitting down.
"You know, when I moved here from my home. I never expected that Jewel's father would involve me in training. It was so tough! I can barely survive on my own without being eaten by a snake or being thrown around by an alligator! Maybe I should just stay in the hollow where it's safe," Blu explained while putting his face in his wings and sobbing.
Knowing that Roberto was a guy with a big heart and was so smooth with words. He gently patted Blu on his shoulder and beckoned him to stand up while pulling on his left wing.
"Come on! What is this crazy talk? You just need a good teacher who will take you seriously! And someone who will show you how to survive without pushing you too hard," Roberto remarked while placing both of his wings on his hips. Blu just arched a curious eyebrow and narrowed his eyes.
"Like who? Who would be willing to teach some city bird who can barely survive on his own?" Blu replied while noticing the slight smirk on Roberto's beak.
"You're looking at him! I can teach you!" He replied while patting him on the shoulder. This just made Blu even more confused than before. Why would he teach him how to survive?
"But what about the patrol? You are on night-watch aren't you?" Blu replied while rubbing the back of his head.
"Yes, but my buddy Felix can cover for me! So I can teach you during the night and when you train with Eduardo during the day you'll get stronger and faster!" Roberto beamed while smiling at him. Blu stood up and shook his talon as he was ready to agree to train with him. Even though there are some doubts flowing through his mind.
"Alright! I'm in! What time do we train?" Blu replied with a determined tone of voice. To which Roberto smiled and whispered to him so that others around them don't hear what he has planned.
"Meet me by the clay banks at midnight, but you have to wait until Ju Ju falls asleep. We can't have anyone knowing about this," Roberto quietly responded. Just after he said this he took off and flew off to the clay banks to meet up with Jewel and Eduardo. Leaving Blu to his thoughts.
Blu's POV
Alright, so I'm training with Roberto overnight! Great! Like that's not scary at all. But if it's going to help me survive in the jungle. I suppose it's the right thing to consider now that we are going to be staying here for a while! I mean what's the worst thing that could happen?
The only problem is, Jewel likes to cuddle with me when we fall asleep, so I'll need to sneak out without being seen! Well I suppose it's better than sitting in a hollow all day. Plus I might even gain a bit of muscle and stamina out of this! Let's do it!
Third Person
It was slowly turning midnight in the Amazon, and Blu had to gradually lift Jewel's wings off of him so he can slowly sneak out of the hollow. It was difficult though because she was cuddling up against his chest feathers.
"Alright, I'm going to slowly roll away…..Alright that didn't help. Oooh, I can try this," Blu said in his head while slightly tickling her underbelly which made her giggle in her sleep. Then she moved her wing down to scratch her belly and luckily rolled over to the other side of the nest. "Yes! Now let's go to meet Roberto!" Blu quietly whispered before walking slowly out of the nest and he flapped his blue wings to meet Roberto at the clay banks.
Roberto leant up against a tree and was taking deep breaths as he was waiting for his new trainee to arrive. He darted his head from left to right but couldn't see him. "Come on buddy! Where are you?"
Suddenly, Blu landed right in front of him and stood up straight as he was prepared for his training session. "Hey Roberto, so what do we do first?" Blu asked as he was confident and determined to get started.
"Hey Blu! So, for your first training lesson, I'm going to teach you how to camouflage yourself in a matter of seconds! Follow me!" Roberto beamed before leading Blu to a creek that was just inside the jungle and not too far from the waterfall. As soon as they arrived, they both landed and Roberto immediately flew into the mud. He rolled over left, right and centre. And in about 10 seconds he was covered in mud. "Now let's see you try."
"Alright! Let's do it!" Blu confidently replied before he too began to roll in the mud. It took him a little longer than Roberto to completely cover himself, but he still did it in about 17 seconds. "How was that?"
"Not bad! My first time it took about 15 seconds, so you aren't far off at all! Now that you have managed to camouflage yourself, now you need to learn how to escape from a trap in vines! I assume Eduardo told you I made it out on the first try?" Roberto explained while smirking at him slightly.
"He might have mentioned it," Blu replied while rolling his eyes slightly. This made Roberto chuckle and beckoned with his wings for Blu to follow him to the next area. They took off and flew past a clearing that led to the same part of the jungle where Eduardo had tied Blu up in vines the first time. Roberto tied vines around Blu's body and left him dangling in the open while he just stood there advising him on what to do next.
"Now, when you want to escape from a vine trap, you need to find the weakest point in the vines. So that when you break it you can escape! Only problem is you will need to do it in about 6 seconds to survive, go!" Roberto beamed out loud, which made Blu look around helplessly because he couldn't find it. That was until he saw there was a vine that looked a little loose and he cut through it with his beak. Releasing him from the trap.
"Yes! I did it!" Blu happily shouted which made Roberto chuckle out loud. He placed a friendly wing on his shoulder and praised him for his quick thinking skills.
"Well done buddy! I left you a little longer than normal and you still managed to do it after 8 seconds! I reckon you can still survive doing that!" Roberto praised him positively while tapping him on the shoulder. Blu just smiled while standing up straight and cracking his wings for his next task.
"Alright so we mastered camouflage and we mastered vine traps! What's next?" Blu eagerly asked while preparing himself to go. Roberto then slowly walked towards him and gave him a serious glare. "What?"
"This next one is going to be tough! Especially at night! You have to run through a course of alligators during the night!" Roberto told him while staring right into Blu's soul. Blu couldn't believe what he had just heard! He was horrified at the thought of it.
"Are you sure about this? It sounds dangerous!" Blu replied anxiously while shaking all over his body. But Roberto placed a comforting wing on his shoulder and tried to calm him down.
"Look Blu, this is the most dangerous task you have to do! I've done it at night several times! Plus if you want to impress Eduardo and look more muscular for your wife then this is the way to do it! Plus at least during the day I can teach you to open a nut. And teach you how to fly backwards! So that when Eduardo trains you again, you'll be ready!" Roberto explained by rubbing Blu's back. Soon Blu swallowed his fear and got ready for his most dangerous task yet.
"Let's do it!" Blu replied with confidence and pride. Roberto nodded and once again beckoned for Blu to follow him to where the last task is going to be held at.
The skies were dark and gloomy with the angriest of clouds that gave the atmosphere a cold and horrifying scenery. There were sounds of animals screeching in the dark, and what sounded worse was the sound of hungry alligators.
"We have arrived for your final lesson in training! Are you ready?" Roberto spoke up while landing next to Blu who just stood there in pure fear and horror.
"I guess so, so what d-d-do I have t-t-to do?" Blu stuttered while looking down at the angry beasts with their mouths wide open.
"Well, you don't have long to decide. You need to run the course as fast as possible! Go!" Roberto beamed while pushing Blu onto to one of the Alligators who angrily growled at him when he landed on his nose. "BLU GET A MOVE ON!"
"AHHHH!" Blu screamed as he jumped across from alligator to alligator. Their mouths kept snapping at him as he jumped across all of them. Roberto beamed with excitement because he saw that Blu was doing really well. Until an alligator nearly swallowed him whole.
"BLU DON'T JUMP ON THE TIP OF THE NOSE!" Roberto blurted out while watching Blu jumping across them while panicking out loud.
"EASY FOR YOU TO SAY! ALLIGATORS ARE NOCTURNAL ANIMALS WHO FEAST UPON US!" Blu screamed back. He was jumping faster and faster and faster, until he flew back up to Roberto and landed beside him. Although he was panting and breathing heavily. Purely because he thought he was going to be swallowed whole. "So? How did I do?"
Roberto sighed deeply and placed both wings on his shoulders while frowning at him. Blu thought the worst of what he was about to hear. But suddenly Roberto laughed and pulled him into a friendly hug while patting his back.
"You did amazing work Blu! I'm so proud of you! Now, I think that's enough training for one night. Head back to my nest and I'll fly back to Felix and relieve him from his duties! Good work buddy! I'll see you in the morning, so I can show you how to open a Brazil nut and fly backwards!" Roberto said to Blu full or praise and pride for his new trainee.
As Roberto flew away, he had a lot on his mind about the training. And he believed that Blu genuinely did a great job and he was very impressed!
Roberto's POV
Wow, I wasn't expecting him to do so well tonight! I mean, the Blu I saw tonight was completely different to the awkward, nerdy and insecure bird I met the first time he came to the Amazon!
Tonight, he was fearless, strong, and not to mention quick minded! I believe Blu would be a great asset to the jungle and I reckon he could eventually be strong enough to come on patrols with me. Well, let's see how my new trainee does in the morning!
Third Person
As Roberto flew away, Blu turned around and quickly jolted off to the stream so he can wash his feathers before flying back to Roberto's nest for the night.
As he arrived at the stream, he quickly washed all the dirt off his feathers and rinsed them by ducking his blue head underwater like a duck. He had so much on his mind, but he was filled with confidence and strength.
Blu's POV
I cannot believe what I just went through tonight! I mean this is my second night in the jungle and I had two training sessions back to back!
But for some reason, I felt more comfortable training with Roberto than training with Eduardo. I have to admit that I do feel a bit weird about it because he's an old friend of Jewel's. But, why would he teach me to survive in the jungle if he didn't care about me?
I don't know, maybe I've been to quick to judge him. Who knows? Maybe when I train with Eduardo again I will be able to remember everything that Roberto taught me!
Third Person
As soon as Blu reached the hollow, he creeped in very slowly and turned the corner. But suddenly his face went really pale. Because he was staring at Jewel, who had woken up and was giving him a death glare which made him step back in fear and start to stutter.
"H-H-Hey J-J-Jewel, how w-w-was your sleep?" Blu stuttered while staring at his angry wife. But soon Jewel dropped her angry expression and replaced it with a sad and worried look.
"Honey, where were you? I've been worried sick about you! I didn't want to leave the kids on their own, so I sent Roberto to look for you!" Jewel worriedly replied while stroking his head feathers which made him relax. But before Blu could reply, Roberto poked his head in the hollow and tried to cover up their training night.
"Sorry Ju Ju, I couldn't find him any…Oh there you are Blu! We were so worried about you. Where did you go?" Roberto lied while winking at Blu. Blu winked back and thought of a quick excuse as to where he had gone.
"Well, I sneezed on my feathers and it looked gross so I flew to the stream to wash it off. Then I needed to pee, so I did it behind a bush. Then I fell into some mud next to the riverbank and washed my feathers thoroughly again. Sorry I was gone so long!" Blu lied in response while looking at Jewel. Jewel then dropped her worried expression and turned it into a relieved one.
"Well my clumsy bird, it's time to get back to sleep. Goodnight Beto!" Jewel replied while falling for the lies that Roberto and Blu told. Roberto waved goodbye to them and flew out of the hollow to relieve Felix.
Blu walked back over to Jewel and wrapped his wings around her and let her snuggle into his chest feathers. "Goodnight Jewel, I love you," Blu sweetly said while kissing her on the cheek.
"Goodnight Blu, I love you too my goofball," Jewel giggled before closing her eyes and falling fast to sleep in his wings.
Blu soon closed his eyes and fell asleep too. "Thank goodness she fell for that," Blu thought in his head, before smiling and falling to sleep.
The next morning, the rays of the sunshine pierced through the hollow entrance and had awoken Jewel and the kids as they got themselves prepped and ready for the day. However, Blu was still asleep from all the training he had done the night before. When Jewel and the children left the hollow, Roberto slightly popped his head back into the hollow and shouted very loud like he was a commanding officer.
"GET UP BLU! RISE AND SHINE!" Roberto shouted while smirking as he saw Blu shooting out of the nest and he headbutt the hollow wall.
"CHEESE AND SPRINKLES! ROBERTO! STOP DOING THAT!" Blu panicked in response while breathing heavily and panting due to his recent scare. However, Roberto just landed in the hollow and placed a Brazil nut on the floor in front of him. Blu looked down at the nut and then back up at him with a blank expression. "You woke me up for a nut?"
"No Blu. I woke you up because there are 3 more things I have to teach you before you are ready to do the training with Eduardo again. I am going to teach you how to open a Brazil nut. It's easy! Like so," Roberto replied before digging his beak into the shell. He peeled off the coating and he dug his beak into the centre and pulled out the nut. "Just remember, don't force your beak in, you have to gradually peel the coating off and you'll be ok. Give it a try!"
"Alright, here goes nothing!" Blu responded rather unsurely. He slowly peeled off the coating with his beak, and as soon as the coating was off, he dug into the centre and pulled out the nut. He savoured the taste of it, even though he wasn't a big fan of nuts. Roberto just clapped his wings in response.
"Great job buddy! Now, as I have the day off today, I'm going to teach you how to fly under and over the dolphins in the main river. And then afterwards I will teach you the final task. Which is learning how to fly backwards. Got it?" Roberto asked while giving him a friendly nod.
"Alright! Let's do it!" Blu replied with a lot of confidence about the next task.
Roberto again nodded in response and beckoned for Blu to follow him to the main river. As Blu took off and flew after Roberto. A certain older blue macaw had noticed this and started to follow them, as he was curious about what they were doing.
As soon as they both landed on a tree branch, Roberto turned to Blu and explained to him what the task was and the best way to do it.
"So Blu, with this next task, you need to be fast! You need to be alert! And you cannot lose focus! Just remember, over, under, over, under and breathe," Roberto beamed while whistling to get the attention of the dolphins. Soon Blu jumped into action and flew straight towards the mammal at full speed.
"Ok! I can do this! Over! Under! Over! Under!" Blu chorused out loud, while flying under and over the dolphin with swift movements. He was really getting the hang of it and Roberto was cheering him on.
"COME ON BLU! GIVE ME 10 MORE, THEN YOU ARE DONE!" Roberto shouted with so much respect and pride for his trainee's hard work.
"OK, OK!" Blu shouted in response while speeding up and continuing to fly under and over the dolphin as it was jumping in and out of the water. As soon as Blu had finished, he sat on a branch to rest and soon Roberto came to join him with a big smile on his face.
"GREAT JOB BLU! You were awesome! Now there is only 1 lesson remaining. Flying backwards," Roberto remarked while he was hovering in mid-air. But Blu was still unsure about this because macaws don't normally fly backwards.
"But Roberto! Hummingbirds find it so easy to fly backwards, what chance have I got?" Blu replied while hovering next to Roberto in the air.
"Blu, it's so easy. You just lean back, and push your wings in front of you. Think of it as reverse psychology!" Roberto replied confidently before demonstrating how to fly backwards so easily in mid-air. "Come on! You can do it!"
"Alright, like reverse psychology. Just push your wings forwards and lean backwards," Blu said to himself as he got into position. He leaned back and pushed his wings forward quite successfully and he ended up actually flying backwards. He couldn't believe what he was actually doing. "Oh wow! Look! I'm doing it! I'm doing it!"
"Way to go Blu!" Roberto beamed with excitement while fist bumping him in mid-air. Soon after their lesson they both landed on a branch and rested for a little while. "There you go Blu! I now have taught you everything you need to know about how to survive in the jungle!"
"Thanks Roberto, I'm sorry about before. I shouldn't have been so foolish to judge you so quickly," Blu replied while bowing his head in an apologetic manner. Roberto just looked at him with so much warmth that he pulled him into a friendly hug. Blu soon returned the favour as he patted Roberto's back. Soon they both broke from the hug and Roberto placed a wing on his shoulder.
"It's ok Blu, but just so you know, I am only a friend of Jewel. I would never steal her from you. You're a good guy. Plus at least now you can do the training with Eduardo and you'll be fine!" Roberto responded while patting him on the shoulder and returning his wings to his sides. Blu was about to reply to this, but a certain bird landed behind Roberto and looked at Blu with an impressed look in his eyes.
"There is no need for it Roberto, I've already seen enough and he doesn't require any training from me!" Eduardo said in a low but soft voice while staring at his son in law. But Blu wasn't really sure why he was saying this, and felt like he needed to know why.
"What are you talking about sir? I've done all the training, I trained with Roberto overnight. And I did everything I couldn't do the first time!" Blu protested while standing up tall to show no fear. Soon Eduardo relaxed and warmly smiled at Blu.
"I know, I've been watching you. I saw you fly past my tree at night and I followed you all around the jungle. Plus I noticed Roberto sneaking into your tree this morning, and I saw Roberto take you to the main river. I've got to say, I am extremely impressed Blu!" Eduardo praised him while nodding his head slightly. This made Blu smile deeply and he nodded his head before flying away to meet up with his wife and children. Soon Eduardo turned to Roberto who was still smiling at Blu as he flew away from them. "I don't know what you did, but thank you!"
"My pleasure Ed. Besides, he's not at all bad, once you get to know him!" Roberto replied before joining Blu and his family. Leaving Eduardo to smile at them as he was watching from a distance.
"No, I guess he isn't that bad after all," Eduardo replied before he too took off in the opposite direction back to his hollow.
As soon as Blu had caught up to Jewel and the kids, he kissed Jewel on her beak and hugged his three children with a huge smile on his face.
"Well, good morning love hawk! You're in a good mood this morning!" Jewel beamed as she was very glad to see that Blu was in a really good mood at this time in the day. Blu just smiled warmly at her and stroked her head feathers.
"It's because I'm with the most beautiful girl in the world, the three best children in the world, and I have new friends around me who can help me become a part of the tribe," Blu replied while rubbing her head feathers to help make his wife feel relaxed. She giggled in response and blushed slightly as she still loves her husband's affection towards her.
"Hey dad! Wanna play on the lily pads with us?" Bia asked in a hopeful tone while getting ready to race Carla and Tiago. Blu just waved at them and shook his head slightly.
"Nope, you kids go ahead and have fun. Me and your mother will watch," Blu replied while placing a wing around Jewel. But Jewel suddenly had an evil grin on her face and narrowed her eyes at him.
"Or, you can race me?! Unless…..You are too chicken? Buck buck buck!" Jewel mockingly replied with a cheeky grin and doing an impression of a chicken. This made Blu barrow his eyes and evilly smirk back at her.
"Oh you are so on! Bring it!" Blu replied while chuckling. Then soon all 5 of them jumped on the lily pads floating down the river towards the waterfall.
Bia took the lead due to her smaller size, but then Blu overtook her due to his posture by using his weight against the pad so he sails faster. Suddenly, Jewel took the lead and whizzed past Blu. She blew him a kiss and batted her eyelashes to put him off. But that only encouraged Blu to go faster. But when he was drifting behind, Tiago suddenly pushed his father's lily pad so he could catch up.
"Go dad!" Tiago yelled while cheering on his father. Bia was neck on neck with Tiago with Carla slightly behind. "Haha Carla! You're too slow!"
"Easy for you to say! I'm a bit chubbier than both of you!" Carla yelled in response while leaning forwards to go faster.
Soon it got to the end of the waterfall and Blu and Jewel finished at the same time in first place. Tiago finished second. Bia came just behind in third. Where Carla came last and she was still laughing because she had so much fun.
Blu looked at Jewel when they landed on a branch together and he leaned in to give her a long passionate kiss. The kids just groaned and flew away to join the other kids in the tribe. As soon as they parted from the kiss, Jewel leaned on Blu and watched as their children had fun.
"Blu? Where were you really last night?" Jewel asked while arching a curious eyebrow as she stared at him with a curious expression. Blu just laughed and pulled her closer towards him.
"Let's just say, I'm Roberto's new trainee," Blu replied slyly and smoothly as he cuddled up next to his wife as he enjoyed his time sitting on a branch with his one and only.
Roberto was on a branch not too far from them talking to Felix, who fortunately overheard their conversation. This made Felix turn to Roberto with a confused look on his face. "Roberto? You wouldn't help me with my training but you help some stranger? Why?" The tall slim macaw said to him while resting next to him. Roberto just smirked and patted him on the back.
"Because you are already one of the best birds we have! I just wanted to know the feeling in a few years time. The feeling that…..I was the one who trained the new leader of the blue spix macaw tribe!" Roberto explained while resting in the hot glowing sun. "He will be a great leader some day!"
Epilogue
Blu soon became a lot better at surviving in the jungle thanks to Roberto's training. He gained a stronger upper body and he flew a lot faster than what he used to.
Eduardo soon took Blu on as a personal scout. He would be on patrol some days during the week and Roberto would be on patrol on the other days of the week.
Jewel was much happier in the Amazon now as she was once again reunited with her flock and her father. Also she was very impressed with Blu's new transformation. Some days she can't even keep her wings off him.
The kids learned the ways of the jungle from their father who had also been given from Eduardo to train the kids on how to survive.
And Roberto, he became a very close friend of Blu's and he would spend most days with him and his family. As well as helping Blu maintain his muscle and strength with hard work and more training.
The End.
