Ghidorah
Titanus ghidorah
Location: Antarctica
It is safe to say that the extraterrestrial Titan known as Ghidorah was the single greatest threat that the Earth ever faced. However even we here at Monarch did not initially realize just how dangerous he was. When Ghidorah let out the call that awoke the other Titans, most followed him, even acting out against their nature as they lay waste to the planet. Initially this loyalty was believed to be out of fear, due to Ghidorah temporarily claiming the title of alpha, however the true cause lay deeper. It is now believed that through his call, Ghidorah had the ability to exert some kind of mental influence over others, bending them to his will without outright controlling them. Only those Titans of particularly strong mind and spirit resisted, such as Godzilla, Mothra, and Kong. But was this ability limited only to Titans? Could Ghidorah have done the same to us humans, bringing out our darkest inhibitions and plunging society into chaos? Thankfully we may never have to know.
Although Ghidorah was utterly disintegrated by Godzilla, a dismembered head and neck had been left behind in the waters around Isla de Mara. Unfortunately, Monarch's efforts to retrieve this head have proven fruitless. It is possible that Ghidorah's immunity to the Oxygen Destroyer was not maintained in death, the now no longer living tissue being destroyed in the explosion. However Monarch's investigations with the island's locals (despite much hesitation and resistance on their part) have led to a more sinister possibility. It appears that eco-terrorist leader Alan Jonah may have come into possession of the remaining head. However seeing as both Jonah and his group have gone completely off the grid, this lead has proven extremely hard to follow up on. But if the information is true, then it is possible that Ghidorah may one day rise again.
