Chapter 7: The Secret Immortal

Stefan's POV

I waited patiently in the living room of the Mikaelson mansion. I could hear Kol on the phone with his siblings, informing them of the current situation. He first called Niklaus, then he called Rebekah. He didn't call Elijah because he wasn't in Mystic Falls at the moment. However I can bet that he will be coming back to Mystic Falls soon.

After a few minutes of waiting for him to get done on the phone, Kol finally comes into the living room. He was drinking from a blood bag and was looking at me with suspicion. He sat down on the couch that was across from the chair that I was sitting in.

He didn't say anything to me, so we just sat in silence for about 5 minutes before we heard cars pull in the driveway.

The first to enter the mansion was Niklaus and Rebekah, they both were confused as to why I was there. Rebekah looked really confused because she was just with Stephan and now I am here. I am obviously wearing different clothes than my brother's doppelganger, so her mind must be spinning right now. I inwardly chuckled to myself at that thought. Things are about to get really interesting.

"Stephan, how did you get here before me and why did you change your clothes?" Rebekah asked with confusion clear in her voice.

Before I could answer Kol looked at his sister and said "What are you talking about sister? Stephan was with me, he stopped the doppelganger and her brother from killing me."

"Have you finally lost your bloody mind Kol, Stephan was with me not even 20 minutes ago."

While the two siblings argued, Niklaus looked at me with suspicion, which grew more and more as his siblings argued.

"Enough!" Niklaus shouted at his bickering siblings. Rebekah and Kol stopped arguing the moment they realized that their brother was glaring at them.

He then turned his attention back to me "I suggest you start explaining yourself, Old friend." He stated in a demanding tone that would make most people cooperate due to the fear that they would feel in their hearts.

I was honestly amused at his attempt to intimidate me. Before I could say anything, more cars pulled into the driveway of the mansion.

"Im going to wait until they get in here. I dont want to repeat myself."

A minute passed before the door was opened and the entire scooby gang came through the door. As soon as the Mikaelson siblings layed eyes on the newcomers, they stopped in shock. Then they all simultaneously looked back at me with their eyes threatening to pop out of their heads.

"Bloody hell.." muttered Rebekah with her eyes wide.

The Scooby gang immediately picked up on the shock of the Mikaelson siblings, so they came into the living room to see what's going on.

As soon as they saw me their eyes nearly popped out of their heads

"Well... this shall be interesting." Kol said with a smirk as he got comfortable on the couch. I couldn't resist laughing at everyone's shocked faces, as well as Kol's statement.

That seemed to bring everyone back to reality, and a moment later Damon flashed towards me and picked me up and slammed me against the wall. He had his hand wrapped around my throat and was attempting to choke me.

"If you damage the wall your gonna fix it." Klaus glared daggers at Damon, he of course was ignored by Damon.

"Who the hell are you and why do you look like my brother!?" He glared at me.

Even though he had his hand wrapped around my throat, I looked at him with a bored expression on my face. I looked him in the eye and said "Your asking the wrong question."

He looked confused for a moment before he said "What the hell do you mean by that!?" He tightened his hold even more and continued glaring at me.

I calmly responded with "You should be asking why your brother looks like me."

This seemed to annoy him even more and he got in my face "I suggest you answer my question before I kill you."

At this point I was bored and annoyed at his behavior, so I grabbed his hand and removed it from my throat. Despite his best efforts to keep choking me, I removed his hand with no effort. He seemed shocked by my Strength and wisely backed off a little.

'Threatening someone you don't know is not very wise Damon." I told him.

During Damon and I's little situation, everyone just watched because they wanted answers to Damon's question.

Before I walked back over to my seat, I looked at everyone else and said "Im sure you all have questions and I will answer them. However I also came here for a reason, I came here to talk about Silas."

Damon came back to stand with the rest of the scooby gang, still glaring at me. He was standing next to Elena and she grabbed his hand briefly in order to calm him down. This action is not missed by Stephan who frowned. The rest of the scooby gang is still suprised and even confused.

Klaus decided to take charge of the situation before anything else happened.

"How about you start with who you are and why you look like Stephan." He demanded.

"I am going to start off with talking about Silas actually. The reason for that is because it has everything to do with me and why Stephan looks like me."

Everyone nodded at that and got comfortable by sitting down on the couches and chairs.

"First of all Silas isnt evil, the stories that you heard about him are filled with lies to discourage people from freeing him from his tomb."

"Why should we believe anything you say?" asked Kol with his arms crossed.

"You should believe me because unlike you lot, I actually know Silas."

"How is that possible, Silas has been entombed for 2000 years." The Bennett witch asked with a firm voice and her arms crossed just like Kol has his crossed. I inwardly smirked at how similar they were. They both have fierce personalities, and they would sacrifice themselves for the people that they love. I wonder if something will happen between them, I'll just have to wait and see.

"I have known him since he was a child, we grew up together." I said while looking at all of them to see if they have put the pieces together yet.

"Shouldn't you be dead then?" Damon asked while still glaring harshly at me.

I rolled my eyes a little at that, do I really have to spell it out for them. I know that these people aren't exactly the most intelligent people in the world but seriously? Come on.

"Not if he became Immortal." Stephan said with realization. Everyone turned to look at him. Atleast someone can put the pieces together, I thought to myself.

"That doesn't make any sense, I can tell that he's not a vampire." Bonnie said. I snorted at the thought of me being a vampire. I was born 1000 years before vampires came into existence. I would hate being a vampire, being forever controlled by bloodlust and being very limited with actual power. As a witch I can basically do anything that I set my mind to, vampires are limited on what they can do with their powers.

"You're right Im not a vampire considering I was born 1000 years before they were first created."

"Then what are you?" Elena spoke up for the very first time since they arrived at the mansion.

"I'm a Witch, an Immortal witch to be precise." I stated very dramatically, I then lit the fireplace without a single word. The only indication that I just did a spell was the fact that my eyes flashed gold for a moment.

They all seemed suprised by my use of magic. I dont blame them, being able to cast a spell without speaking is difficult. Most witches never learn how to do that, whether its because they didnt know it was possible or because they aren't good enough.

"How did you become Immortal? I never heard of a witch becoming immortal before." Kol asked me curiously.

"I became immortal with the same spell that made Silas Immortal, I am the perfect immortal. I can't be killed, I have no weaknesses, Im fast, strong, I have my magic, I dont have heightened emotions like vampires. What's there to complain about." Of course I had to brag a little, I couldn't resist, sue me.

Everyone was either shocked, jealous, or in disbelief by my statement. Kol was definitely jealous because I had magic and I was immortal, something that he would kill for.

"You're lying, nature would never allow that, it would upset the balance." Take a wild guess on who said that. If you guessed Bonnie Bennett then give yourself a pat on the back.

I scoffed at her naivety "Yeah just like nature would never allow a Hybrid to exist. Just like nature would never allow a witch to practice the darkest of magic like expression."

Bonnie flinched as she was reminded of the dark path that she went down recently with expression magic.

"As much as I enjoy you reminding the Bennett witch of her ignorance when it comes to magic, I do wonder how you and Silas actually met?" Klaus asked me curiously, everyone else seemed interested to know as well. Bonnie just ignored the verbal jab that Klaus sent her.

"Well we first met inside our mother's womb, then we were separated for like 15 minutes, then we were reunited once again." I say casually.

Once again everyone was shocked at the revelation that I just gave them. No one said anything for a brief moment due to the absolute shock that was going through them at the moment.

Finally Rebekah looked at me and said "Silas is your brother." She said with such understanding and empathy. After all she knows what its like to have a brother that is often viewed as evil.

I looked back at her and our eyes met for a few seconds. I couldn't help but admire how beautiful her eyes were. After I stopped staring at her, I said "Yes Silas is my brother, my twin brother."

"If Silas is your brother then how can we trust you?" Stephan asked me. He brings up a valid point how can they trust me. I obviously would never kill my brother, so they cant really trust that Silas won't harm them.

"You can't trust me, atleast not completely. However you must take that chance if you want the cure." I replied to him, he seemed to accept what I was saying because he nodded his head a little.

"What makes you say that?" Klaus said inquired while walking over to the bar to get a glass of bourbon.

"Well without me you won't be able to get the cure, and you certainly won't be able to deal with Silas on your own." I stated the obvious to him. Klaus scoffed at that like it was absolute nonsense.

"What makes you so sure that I couldn't handle Silas? After all I am an Original, The Hybrid." He stated while spreading his arms out as if to emphasize how great he is. He also had a smug smile on his face.

Rebekah and Kol just rolled their eyes at their brother's arrogance. Judging by everyone's facial expressions, they seemed to agree with Rebekah and Kol.

I just laughed in response to Klaus's arrogance. Sometimes I can't believe just how arrogant he can be.

I looked at him and said "My brother is twice your age and his Immortality is greater than yours. Unlike you he cant die, not to mention he will always be multiple steps ahead of you." I stated with such conviction that his smug smile seemed to falter a bit. I also made sure to emphasize certain words in order to make him realize just what he's dealing with.

"The truth is, I am the only one that can keep my brother in control, everyone else would either fail or die trying." I said while getting up from the chair that I was sitting in and started heading towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Damon asked while standing up to look towards me.

"Home." I said while continuing to walk towards the door.

"Wait you didn't answer why Stephan looks like you. You also didn't even tell us your name" Damon stated. I sighed to myself before stopping and turning around to look towards him.

"He looks like me because he is Silas's doppelganger. My name is Stefan, S T E F A N." I spelled it out for them to make sure they dont get confused.

Everyone groaned a bit at the revelation that there was more doppelgangers to deal with.

"Your joking, More bloody doppelgangers." Rebekah said while raising her voice slightly.

"Im afraid that I am not joking sweetheart." I responded while looking at her.

She blushed slightly at my nickname for her.

"We have the same name?" Stephan asked me in disbelief.

"Yes we do, something that amuses me to no end." I said while giving a small smile to him.

I continued to walk towards the door "I will answer any other questions you have in two days time. Dinner at my house, be there at 7."

"We dont even know where you live." Caroline spoke for the first time since her arrival.

"Just be in your cars by 6:50 and you will find your way." I replied to her while looking at everyone.

"What does that even mean?" Bonnie asked with confusion clear on her face.

"You'll understand, just be in your cars by 6:50, in two days time."

Just as I was about to open the door to leave, I turned around to say one last thing. "Oh and tell Elijah he can come as well, he can also bring his lady friend." With that being said, I walked out the door and disappeared into the night.

Rebekah's POV

Once Stefan left the mansion we were left in slight disbelief due to all we just learned. We learned that Silas has a twin brother that is also a 2000 year old immortal. Said brother also happens to be a witch. We also learned that there are more doppelgangers out in the world.

Apparently the brother, who is named Stefan, wants to have dinner with us in two days at his house. He also told us to invite Elijah and his lady friend. How does he know that Elijah has a lady friend? I didnt even know that my brother is dating someone.

He seems to know a lot about us but we know very little about him, this is a worrying thought. He is a wild card and that is a dangerous thing for us. Despite all of this, I feel as though we can trust him. I dont know why that is and that scares me a little.

I am brought out of my thoughts by the sound of the door opening and closing. I look up and notice that everyone besides Nik and Kol had left.

"This is bad, not only is Silas going to be released into the world but he also has a brother that is just as dangerous as he is." Kol said with worry in his voice.

"We will find a way to deal with them." Nik said.

I scoffed at them "Why are you so worried brothers? Stefan said that Silas is not evil, and that he will keep him in control."

They both looked at me in disbelief "You cant be serious sister?" Nik said while looking at me as if I had lost my mind.

"Actually I am, you need to stop looking at everyone like their an enemy to this family. I honestly dont believe that Stefan has any ill will towards us, so why should we do anything to provoke him or Silas."

"They are a threat to us." Nik said

I narrowed my eyes at him "Are they a threat to us? or are they a threat to your ego?"

He then narrowed his eyes at me "What is that supposed to mean?" He said with an edge to his voice.

"It means that you have always loved being the strongest and most feared being in the world. Now that Stefan and Silas are here, you feel threatened by them because they're stronger than you." I replied to him while looking down at my nails.

"Nothing is stronger than me, I have nothing to fear from them or anyone else." Nik said with his voice raising at the end.

I smirked to myself before I replied "Whatever you say brother."

Nik then storms off towards the staircase "Where are you going Nik?" Kol asked our brother.

"To call Elijah to let him know whats going on." He replies with some anger in his voice. Once Nik is upstairs, Kol looks at me with a smirk before he says "Way to go Bekah you have hurt our dear brother's pride."

He then walks out of the living room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. After a while I decide to go to my room. While heading there I couldn't help but feel anxious about the near future.

Sorry it took me three weeks to upload this, I will try to update more often, no promises.

Next chapter will be the dinner and things will get tense.
