Hey guys, this is the last chapter before I finish the other story. By the way, in Sea of Thieves I have a pet parrot, so that's most of my inspiration for this, as well as SOT (Sea of Thieves) in general. Also, the name Haddock is from the early 2000s (i think) comic series, Tintin. The character's name is Captain Haddock. Read now.
She looks just like me, but with teal eyes and sky blue feathers instead of my brown eyes and cerulean blue feathers. Her beak isn't as pronounced as mine, and she has a lighter ring of feathers around her eyes. She looks about the same species as me, just a female version. I don't really know what makes her so attractive, maybe cause she's the same species... I mean, I guess that is the reason why I'm attracted to her; she's the same species. I don't know how I can tell either... maybe it's some instinct. All in all, she's very beautiful.
She lands on the female sailor's (are they called a sailress?) shoulder, taking notice of me.
"Hey, Jewel, we captured this bird as well... I dunno, torture him, beat him, entertain yourself, you're free to do whatever you want with him... just make sure he doesn't make any moves," She says
That name suits her appearance, for sure, but... I hope she doesn't get any dirty thoughts with being on her own... well, I would like that, but... I doubt it.
My human captor goes to the main deck, leaving me, Jewel, and Haddock in the hold. I notice Haddock drifting to sleep, so I guess it's just us. Jewel is sitting on a perch close to the cage.
"H-Hey," I say quietly, "P-please don't hurt me,"
"Heh, you're scared... I wouldn't blame ya, I would probably be scared in your position. Before I get to my... activities, I'd like to know your name," Jewel says
"Well... why would I give you my name or even trust you if you tackled me off a cliff?" I ask, my nervousness levels soaring
"You know mine," she says flatly
"Right, sure... Blu,"
"What?"
"Er, Blu's my name,"
She studies me, "You look like me,"
"Uh, yeah? I guess... please, the suspense is killing me, just do what you want and get it over with,"
"Okay okay! Jeez. So, I'm going to let you roam free on the ship for a limited amount of time, and if you behave, I'll extend that time slot, if you don't, you're stuck in here for a week, along with a punishment," she sounds dead serious, so I won't dare make any moves.
"O-okay..."
She opens the cage door, "get out,"
I nervously step on the edge of the cage and hesitate, "W-where am I allowed to go?"
"Anywhere in the hold... I'll let you go on the deck tomorrow,"
I flutter to the bottom enjoying a different view of the room. Jewel's teal eyes following me to what I assume is to make sure I don't try and escape.
"What time is it?" I ask
"About evening,"
"This doesn't feel... satisfying... like, not enough,"
"Well, you're my prisoner, so all you can do is complain," that sentence is all I need to know that I'm not getting any more space than this today.
"I can't really free fly here, so... should we get to know each other?" I fly to the top of the cage.
"Hey, don't go above me, you could attack me that way. And to answer your question, yes, but you will have limited results from me."
I wouldn't really feel comfortable going next to her on the perch, so I just fly back in the cage, "So, uh, where you from?"
She frowns and seems a bit saddened "Shores o' Plenty, you?"
I decide to ignore it, "Well, I can't remember this, but according to Haddock, I was found on one of the islands in The Wilds, just on the sand... Oh! and that brings me to Haddock's past. So, he says he came from this planet called Earth. Trust me, I don't even know what a planet is, he says that it's a huge round ball, which is obviously different from here, since, well, there is the blood sea that marks the boundaries for this place (if you've seen or played sea of thieves, then you know what I mean), and, the place here is obviously flat. anyways, he was sailing in the year 1969(nice), in this area called "the Bermuda triangle", and he was sucked into a whirlpool and ended up here. His equipment and everything was gone, and a sloop was out on the dock designated for him. He doesn't know how it happened, but now we're here," I take a deep breath as saying that much in one breath made me gasping for more.
"Interesting..."
"So, how did ya meet your... accomplice?"
"I won't answer that,"
"will you at least tell me her name?"
"No is no, Blu,"
"Fine,"
"Well, your time is up, ta ta," She locks the cage and flys up to the main deck.
Man, she must've had something bad happen... or she just doesn't trust me enough to share it. Either way, she is beautiful as... as heaven. I say that cause hell is supposed to an ugly place, right? That's what Haddock's "religion" was before he came here. He believed that once you die you go to one place for good people and one place for bad people. But I know that we just head to the Ship of the Damned when we die.
I start to get sleepy, and I drift off like a lone wooden plank on the sea.
Hey guys, I'm sorry for these wimpy short chapters. Despite that, leave a review while you're at it, eh?
