Water fell with great intensity on the dormitory, filling the students with various emotions. Some were elated, loving the sound and smell of rain. Others were annoyed, feeling it was too loud to focus on anything. And some, didn't even notice. Young Izuku Midoriya was a master of processing information, leading to his high performance. Almost nothing could stop this teenager from learning what he wanted to learn. He paused and started mumbling, making sure he comprehended what he read. But even he had his breaking points. While he didn't notice the current conditions outside, a lightning strike would shock nearly anyone, as if it was trying to get the attention of the one for all inheritor himself. He yelped, wondering if Kaminari was practicing his quirk. Now that he could actually comprehend his surroundings, the sound of rain finally hit his ears, and caught up with everyone else.

"...When did the weather get so bad?"

Figuring he hit a rather good stopping point, he decided to take a break and see how everyone else was doing. He walked to the couches, seeing his good friends Ochako Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui. They seemed to be somewhat anxious, not to his surprise, this was a pretty bad storm. He came closer, wondering if there was anything he could do. Uraraka noticed him coming closer, and waved.

"Hey Midoriya, have you seen Mina?"

"No, I've been in my room, why do you ask?"

"Well, she went to go get snacks from the local convenience store a while ago, not long before the storm started. She's not answering her phone either, and I'm worried."

"I'm sure she's fine guys. It's not like a villain is going to pop out of the sky or anything." Tsuyu stated bluntly as usual.

"I know you're right but, I can't help but be worried about her. I think I'm gonna go look for her..."

"I don't think that's a good idea. The storm is picking up. What if you both get lost? It'd do more harm than good." Tsuyu responded.

"I guess you're right..." Uraraka sighed, putting her face in her hands.

"I can go look for her." Midoriya said finally speaking up. "I don't mind."

"I mean, the same thing applies to you Midoriya. You'd have an equal chance of being lost."

"Yeah, but it's better to have someone go then to just assume she'll be fine and regret it later. It'll also take some stress off of Uraraka."

"True enough... stay safe though Midoriya." Tsuyu told him, with Uraraka nodding in agreement.

"I'll be fine, I'll let you know when I find her." He smiled and left to go back to his room. He pulled out a rain jacket and his umbrella, before heading out. He gave a wave to his friends before heading down, and walking out the door. He took a deep breath, things looking even worse now that he was face to face with it. He marched onward, the sounds of droplets hitting the pavement being near deafening. Water was building up, and while the young boy wasn't drowning, the soles of his boots were under water. There seemed to be traffic too, people not wanting to drive too fast, lest there be crashes.

The nearest place someone could get small foods was a local gas station. It wasn't that far away, and given the weather, he felt it'd take 10 minutes at the absolute worst. He began to rethink that once the weather worsened, making even walking a bit more difficult. It was hard to see where he was going, but he knew the area well enough that limited visibility wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

"I wonder if she's okay..." He mentally wondered before shaking his head, Asui was right that a bad storm wasn't going to do anything to Ashido. Everyone in 1-A have been through some things.

"I shouldn't worry so much." Despite this, his anxieties were acting up slightly. He stopped and checked his phone, to see if perhaps she made her way back, but there were no new notifications there.

"Midoriya!?"

She heard a light feminine voice, and wasn't sure if he imagined that or not. It was hard to tell with all the rain surrounding him.

"Is that you Midoriya!?"

Figuring he probably didn't imagine that twice, he started looking around, and saw a pink figure across the street. Thankfully, she was rather easy to notice. He checked the street, and seeing no one was coming, walked over to her, with the energetic girl sitting under a bus stop.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I came looking for you."

"Oh. Haha, sorry about that. I'm fine, I was just waiting for the sun to come out."

"I don't think that'll happen for a bit longer. We're closer to the gas station than to the dorms at this point. I can just take you. Uraraka told me you wanted some food."

"Oh! You don't have to do that."

"It's my pleasure. In fact..." He took off his jacket and gave it to her. "You must be cold by now."

"Aren't we a gentleman?" She grinned. Before Midoriya could respond, a car drove by, and with him standing in front her, the water completely hit him. He sighed annoyed, and Mina started laughing. She bounced up, wiping tears from her eyes.

"We should get going then, huh?"

He agreed and picked up his umbrella, holding it over them. They began to continue their treck for the acclaimed snack foods.

"Hey, why didn't you pick up your phone? You know Uraraka and Asui have been calling you?"

"Oh uh, about that..." She pulled out her phone, showing several cracks on it. "Kinda dropped it when I was running for cover. Guess I gotta grab a new one."

"That reminds me, here." He pulled out his phone and unlocked it. "You should text Uraraka, let her know you're okay. She was really worried."

"Good idea!" She shot her the text, signing her name of course, and waited for a response. Her eyes glanced up, and noticed her name on a previous text. She read it without really thinking.

"Mina is super sweet! You don't need to worry."

"I know. But it's hard, she's intimidating."

"Mina? Intimidating?"

"She's just... really cool, I want to talk to her, but it's hard. Oh shoot, gotta go!"

Her pink face reddened, before reading the next text.

"kk! We can talk later!"

The next text was the one she sent, and she got a response from Ochako.

"Glad you're okay! What happened?"

"Phone broke."

"Oh no!"

"We'll be back soon though."

"Gotcha!"

She gave the phone back to Izuku, and thanked him, being flustered. Izuku noticed this, but lost his train of thought after some surprisingly loud thunder. Mina jumped a bit, before laughing it off.

"Sorry, that caught me off guard. At least I didn't break your phone too."

"It scared me a bit too. Oh, looks like we're here."

They stepped under shelter, and Izuku put the umbrella down. Mina wrung out her shirt a bit, before walking inside, her motioning towards him to follow her. It felt so much better inside, compared to the chaos on the outside. Mina walked over to the candy she was looking for, and turned back towards her friend.

"Hey, anything you want? I owe you after all."

"You don't need to."

"I insist!"

"Well... maybe those spicy chips?"

"Didn't take you being into that."

"Mom would make it for me all the time. I guess I just kinda grew a taste for it."

She nodded at him before grabbing it, and taking it to the counter. She reaching into her back pocket, and realized it was empty. She, slightly panicking, checked all of them, and realized she never took it out of the dorm. She started touching her index fingers together, and began to speak sheepishly.

"Um... can you pay? I'll pay you back, promise!"

Izuku took out his wallet, and handed the money over.

"It's not a big deal. You don't need to reimburse me, I've got it."

"Man, you just keep saving my butt today huh?"

The clerk starting giggling, taking the two out of their conversation.

"Wow, you two are really cute together."

Both of them turned red, and Izuku started stuttering and stumbling over his words, and Mina took over.

"He really is a cutie isn't he?" She winked and took her bag, before thanking the clerk. "Come on Midoriya!"

He covered his face, and did as he was told. They notice the sun has arrived, and the rain stopped while they were in there. She put her hands in her pockets and grinned at him.

"You know I was teasing right?" She asked chuckling a bit.

"I know it was just... really sudden."

"Haha, I'm sorry if i went too far. You would be a great boyfriend though! For anyone I mean!"

"W-well... you'd be a great girlfriend. I-in general I mean!"

"Is this your revenge Mr. Izuku?" She jokingly asked.

"No! Seriously, you'd make anyone happy."

"You're really sweet you know that?" The two stared at each other silently before Mina broke the silence. "Race you home!" She ran off, laughing loudly.

"It's still wet Ashido! Wait!" He sighed and smiled, running after her.
