Hurt By Words Chapter 12: "Three Questions"

"April! May! Juuuuunnnneee!" Donald screamed, frantically looking around Daisy's house for her nieces. He peeked behind the couch, coughing because of the dust bunnies, "Daisy, face it. They aren't here." Donald sighed.

Della leaned against the orange-wallpapered wall, "Oh, I give up! First Huey, and now the girls! Where could they be?!"

- Before All Of This-

"April, May, June! You three better be good! I'm going to run a quick errand for Miss Glamour and then I'll be right back."

"Take your time! I totally won't be skateboarding indoors when you do!" May squeaked. The middle triplet ran a hand through her spiky hair.

June deadpanned.

"You better not be!" Daisy scolded.

"Relax, we'll be fine!" June assured her.

"I only trust you because April can take care of you two."

May and June glared at their older sister, who flipped her long, wavy hair.

"Now, I better be off." Daisy closed the clear glass door at the front of their house.

June looked through her phone, "Hey May, check out the latest gossip." She snickered and shoved her yellow phone in May's face.

"Uhhhhhhhhhhh, where do you learn this stuff?"

"I have a VERY reliable source." June boasted proudly.

"Should I be worried?"

The screen got darker and zoomed up on June's face, mainly her eyes, "Only if you have a dirty, deep, dark secret you're hiding."

May gulped, "Hehe….nice…"

June's upper beak was still bandaged, but she could move it more comfortably now. The 11 year-old grinned and showed her phone to May again, "Check out the latest trends!"

May read off her phone, "What's a Vsco girl?"

June gasped dramatically, "Oh sweet, innocent May, you have NO IDEA how the world works! Oh, for SHAME!"

May raised an eyebrow.

Just then, the lights fluttered out.

"Uh, what was that?" May asked, "Where's April?"

Someone yelped.

"April!" June and May shouted in unison. June shone her phone light around the room, nervously biting her nails. May was surprisingly calm.

"OOOOOO this is just like that horror movie I watched where these there were these three pre-teens just like us…living at their aunts house, just like us….and triplets, just like us. One night, their aunt left them, and then, the oldest was kidnapped. They heard a scream, and then, the youngest turned around. There, two glowing eyes stared at her. A mole monster."

June latched onto her sister and screamed, "I don't wanna be killed by a mole monster!" Her mascara started dripping down her face as she cried, "I was supposed to die rich and beautiful!"

May took pleasure out of this, smirking mischievously, "Ooooo, I think I saw two eyes over there, why don't you go check 'em out?"

June whimpered.

"Scaredy-cat!"

"I'm not a scaredy-cat and I'll prove it." June hissed, grabbing her phone and creeping towards the corner of the rom. Her phone light went out.

"June? June? HELLLOOOOOOO?" May scowled, "Not funny, June. Come on, turn the light back on." She waited.

"…."

"…."

"…."

"June?" May got off the couch, walking closer to the corner of the house. June's phone lay on the ground, the screen cracked.

"Yeesh, you seriously broke your phone for this? Okay, come out, schemer." She looked around, "Haha, very funny." She tried again. Again, no answer.

"Oh boy."

Something pinned her down, "Ah-!" The figure bound her arms and legs with rope then put something over her eyes and mouth. May tried screaming, but soon she felt her eyes getting droopy and she fell unconscious.

- Daisy's House-

"Daisy, maybe we should head over to our place and look for Huey." Della suggested.

Daisy sighed, "You're right."

-At McDuck Manor -

Scrooge was in his office searching for something.

"I had it just here, where did it go…?" He ducked under his wooden work table, searching through stacks of paper, "I wouldn't just lose something that important!" Scrooge grumbled. He paused, "Wait, would I?!"

"Hey Uncle Scrooge." Dewey opened the door, which was a brown color, "Have you, um, seen Huey? We were pretty mean to him…"

Scrooge stood up, "No. I actually haven't seen him since a few hours ago."

Della peeked her head behind Dewey, "Hey Uncle Scrooge, do you know where Huey is? The window in his bedroom is open."

Donald came up behind her, "Yeah, and April and May are missing too!" Daisy came up from behid Donald, "I can't find them anywhere!" She wailed. Just then, they collapsed from the weight of each other. Scrooge scowled at the scene.

"No, I haven't seen any of those people. I'm missing something to…where's the deed?" He eyed the others curiously. Just then, Louie burst into the room along with Violet, Lena, and Webby.

"Uncle Scrooge, the deed's gone!" he yelled frantically. Scrooge shot him a look.

"And…you already knew that, didn't you?"

Scrooge sighed and face-palmed, "I don't know where it could be! I checked the whole blasted mansion!

"Wait…Huey…the girls…deed…" Louie gulped, "Why do I have the feeling that these are connected?" His phone buzzed and he took it out of his pocket, "A news alert? At this time of day?!" He clicked on the notification, and a video showing Roxanne Featherly standing in the middle of town showed up.

"This is Roxanne Featherly, reporting live from Duckburg. I'm here with the citizens of Duckburg, witnessing the most confusing sight of all time. Is that Ma Beagle with the Duckburg deed?"

"It sure as heck is!" Ma Beagle grinned, "And it's all thanks to Hubert Duck."

Everyone gasped.

Violet looked over at Louie and Dewey, "This is your doing!" She shouted at them.

Dewey rubbed his arm and Louie stared at his feet.

"Yeah, but it's your fault too." Louie mumbled.

Lena rubbed her temple, "This is all of our faults. We drove Huey to do this. We made him steal the deed. And now, we have to figure out a way to get him back."
