Chapter 35: Welcome to I-Island
Izuku and Katsuki had made it to I-Island for I-Expo. Izuku was really excited as they settled into their hotel room and was ready to explore. They had tickets for the Preview Day. However they weren't the only ones. Most of Izuku's partners… well the student partners, Inko was the only one not attending, but it made since.
However Toru and Tsuyu didn't have tickets for preview day. As most of the girls in class were guests of Yaoyorozu, however she only had two spare preview day tickets.
The remaining girls had a played a game of rock paper succors, Ochaco was one of the two winners, the other was Jiro, however both Jiro and Yaoyorozu decided to join in with them on preview day, because really it was the more the merrier.
However due to one reason Izuku and Katsuki were the first ones ready that day.
"I can't believe we're already here." Said Izuku with his tail wagging like crazy.
"It's that excitement that we have to wait for everyone." Pointed out Katsuki.
Izuku sweat dropped when she said that.
They heard a booming laugh nearby.
Both of them were somewhat surprised to hear that laugh. They both turned and saw All Might.
"All Might!" said Izuku.
"So you're here too… didn't expect any teachers to be here." Said Katsuki.
All Might laughed at this.
"Yeah, but my case is a bit different. I'm here to surprise an old friend." Said All Might.
"Oh that's so cool." Said Izuku.
That was when All Might realized something that would nice.
"Are you two busy?" asked All Might.
"Not right now." Said Katsuki.
"We're planning to hang out with our friends." Said Izuku.
"We're the first ones ready." Said Katsuki, "Last we checked Leg Day's still only his plane."
All Might nodded.
"How would like to meet my friend?" asked All Might.
"Really?" asked Izuku with his tail wagging.
"Wait… All Might…" said Katsuki, "Are you a lonely old man?"
All Might coughed (thankfully no blood) in shock.
"You can't say that to All Might!" yelled Izuku.
"I know… it felt weird…" said Katsuki.
"I was hoping to bring someone to meet him… but I couldn't find the person." Said All Might.
"So you found tow o you're your students?" asked Katsuki.
"Well you are impressive students." Said All Might.
"Whatever." Muttered Katsuki.
"Just let me tell my friends we might be running late." Said Izuku.
He activated his telepathy but only to the ones going to preview day.
"Hey!" mentally called out Izuku.
"I have gotten off the plane and am unpacking right now." Tenya explained.
"Actually we ran into All Might and he wants to introduce us to someone." Explained Izuku.
"Oh that's really cool!" thought Ochaco.
"If All Might wants to introduce you to someone that does sound interesting." Agreed Tenya.
"Why?" asked Shoto.
"Because he seems to be a lonely old man…" explained Katsuki.
There was an awkward silence.
"Did you just say that about All Might?" asked Ochaco.
"I know… it's weird saying it… but that what it seems like." Admitted Katsuki.
"You should go meet this person… we can wait." Thought Shoto.
Izuku nodded and ended the telepathic call.
"Let's go!" cheered Izuku.
All Might laughed at Izuku.
As they headed walked, they heard a girl call out "Uncle Might!"
They saw a girl a couple years older than them with blonde hair, blue eyes and wearing glasses riding a strange looking pogo stick.
"Melissa!" cheered All Might.
The girl jumped to him and All Might hugged her.
"Wait… that's All Might's friend?" asked Izuku.
"No… she called him uncle…" said Katsuki.
"Oh…" said Izuku who didn't notice that she did call him "Uncle Might".
"Oh Melissa I want you meet two of my students." Said All Might, "Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. This is Melissa Shield."
"Really! You two are learning how to be heroes?" asked the girl named Melissa.
"We are… wait did you say your Shield… as in David Shield?" asked Izuku.
"Yes! He's my father." Said Melissa.
"No way!" said Izuku who began to talk about her father, who was All Might's former partner and even created all of his costumes.
"Is he okay?" asked Melissa.
"He does that all the time." Said Katsuki rolling her eyes.
That was when Melissa looked at Katsuki's costume.
"That's so strange…" said Melissa.
"Do you fucking mind!" yelled Katsuki.
"Sorry… it's just that… there's something off about your costume." Said Melissa, "I can't put my finger on it though."
"What?" asked Katsuki.
"Well Young Bakugo does have a rather interesting costume." Said All Might.
"Really?" asked Melissa.
"It's none of your business." Muttered Katsuki.
"Kacchan! Don't be rude!" said Izuku.
"It's okay…" Melissa, "I understand if she wants to keep her costume and gear a secret."
"It sounds like your following your father's footsteps." Laughed All Might.
Melissa nodded.
"Come on! I'm sure papa will love to see you." Said Melissa.
She led to the main building of the island and went inside the room to tell her that All Might was there.
Who entered the room giving his old friend a bear hug.
Izuku and Katsuki watched this.
"Oh Dave! I want you to meet two of my students." Said All Might, "Izuku Madya and Katsuki Bakugo. This is my old friend David."
"It's such an honor to meet you!" said Izuku blushing while his tail wagged like crazy, "Sorry! I just didn't think I'd ever meet you! But you are the one who created his costumes!"
David laughed at Izuku's fanboying.
"Oh so are you close to him?" asked David.
"Not really, we ran into him and we had time to kill." Said Katsuki.
"Kacchan!" cried Izuku.
"Though I did face off against Katsuki in her final exam. She actually blew up my costume." Laughed All Might.
"Really? That's quite impressive." Said David.
"Like I care." Said Katsuki blushing a little.
All Might chuckled, however he started coughing.
Both David and Katsuki noticed a small dribble of blood.
"Melissa why don't you show them around the expo." Said David.
"Of course!" said Melissa.
"I will have to tell my friends." Said Izuku.
"Oh were you planning to hang out with your friends?" asked Melissa.
"I'm sure they won't mind." Said Izuku.
They left the room with Katsuki giving a look to All Might as they left.
It should be noted that David's assassinate also was in there.
"Sam do you think you can leave?" asked David.
"All right." Said the man named Sam.
The man named Sam left as All Might reverted to his smaller form.
"Are all right?" asked David.
"Still recovering from a recent injury." Sighed All might, "Young Bakugo really went all out for her exam."
"She found out didn't she?" asked David.
"She did." Sighed All Might, "Along with her partner during the exam… but Young Midoriya doesn't know."
"I see…" said David.
In the hallway Izuku contacted the others they were hanging out.
"Hey! We're done meeting with All Might's friend." Thought Izuku.
"That was fast." Said Ochaco.
"I'm sure All Might just want to spend time with us friend." Pointed out Shoto.
"But we're dragging along All Might's unofficial niece. So heads up." Though Katsuki.
"Well me and the other girls are ready so we should meet up.," pointed out Ochaco.
"Let's see where she takes us." Thought Izuku .
"Sounds cool!" thought Ochaco.
Melissa watched this.
"So you're quirk allows for telepathic conversations?" she asked.
"Just with certain people." Said Izuku.
"Even if it's just certain people." Said Mellissa, "It's still good for hero work.""
Izuku nodded .
"I noticed you call each other Kacchan and Deku." Said Melissa, "Are those your hero names?"
"No we've known each other since we little." Said Izuku,.
"Oh I see." Said Melissa.
"My hero name is Bombshell and Deku's is Artemis." Said Katsuki.
"Really? Any reason why for that one?" asked Melissa.
"I'll explain later." Said Izuku blushing a little.
"So should I call you by those names?" asked Melissa.
"Call us whatever you want." Muttered Katsuki, "I don't care."
He knew the truth of his quirk would come out later.
They went to exbibit hall that showcased some of I-Island's inventions.
"Deku!" called out Ochaco.
Izuku turned around and saw Ochaco turning towards him.
"Hey Ochaco!" said Izuku blushing.
She hugged him.
"Are you two seriously entering that stage?" asked Katsuki.
Ochaco blushed.
"I have to agree." Muttered Jiro walking with Yaoyorozu, "I heard you saw each other yesterday… please don't get all lovey dovey."
Both Izuku and Ochaco blushed in embarrassment.
"Are you Uncle Might's students as well?" asked Melissa.
"Uraraka mentioned someone who was like All Might's niece." Said Yaoyorozu.
"That's right… I'm Melissa Shield. It's nice to meet you." Said Melissa.
That was when she noticed Ochaco's costume.
"Oh… your costume is like Katsuki's." said Melissa.
"Oh you haven't explained your quirk to her have you?" asked Ochaco.
"I know he has telepathy…" said Melissa, "And his animal features"
"Well you see my quirk is really weird." Sighed Izuku.
That was when he felt it… a certain feeling in his nose.
"Really?" he thought as he sneezed, of course turning into his animal form.
"What…" said Melissa unsure how to react at this.
"You know… let's get a drink." Said Yaoyorozu.
They went to a nearby café where Izuku explained his quirk in detail.
"That is a really strange quirk." Laughed Melissa.
"I know I'm used." Sighed Izuku as he sat on Ochaco's lap.
"So do you have any more partners?" asked Melissa.
"Five more. But one of them is my mom and she's back at home." Said Izuku, "And two of them won't be attending preview day."
"They're back at the hotel doing whatever." Said Ochaco.
That was when their drinks arrived.
"Seriously Midoriya?" asked one of the waiters, "are you trying to get more girls into your harem?"
They looked up and saw that the waiters were Kaminari and Mineta.
"Oh you're here." Muttered Jiro.
"You're still not sore about what happened at the pool, are you?" asked Kaminari.
"At least you showed restraint… unlike someone else." Said Yaoyorozu.
Mineta started to grumble.
"Hey come on…" said a third waiter, "You should stop bothering him."
They saw who the third waiter was, Kirishima.
"Are they your classmates too?" asked Mellissa.
"They are but those two are idiots." Muttered Jiro.
"So you're here waiting table too." Said Katsuki, "You couldn't get someone to bring you?"
"Well I thought I could use the money." Said Kirishima, "Plus I can explore during breaks."
"I guess it's not that bad then… just try not to bother me during your breaks." Muttered Katsuki.
"I'll ty not to." Laughed Kirishima.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me!" yelled Mineta.
"What are you talking about?" asked Katsuki.
"You're a Tsundere for Kirishima"! yelled Mineta.
Kirishima started blushing at this… while Katsuki.
"What!" yelled Katsuki getting angry.
"I was hoping you would be a lesbian!" yelled Mineta.
"What the fuck did you say!" yelled Katsuki even more angry.
"Calm down! You're here to represent our school!" yelled Tenya running in.
While heading to the café, Izuku had told Tenya and Shoto where to meet them.
Katsuki gritted her teeth, took a sip of her drink then looked at Kirishima.
"Look Shitty Hair! The Grapist is seeing things that aren't there." Muttered Katsuki who began to blush, "Got it…"
"Yeah…" said Kirishima blushing a little.
"Looks like everyone is here." Said Shoto joining them.
"About time." Muttered Katsuki.
'He!" said Kirishima, "When you're done here you should check out the Villain Run."
"The vialling run?" asked Katsuki sounding interested.
"Yeah, it's a competition nearby." Said Kirishima, "It definitely has your name written all over it."
"Whatever…" muttered Katsuki, "You better be right about it…"
"Oh no…," sighed Ochaco, "I'm starting to see it…"
"No one tell Ashido about this…" muttered Jiro.
Once they were done with their drinks they all (minus the three waiters of course). Headed to the stadium where the villain run was going on.
It was a competition to see who could get the shortest time beating a bunch of robotic villains.
"Shitty Hair was right… it was written with my name on it." Said Katsuki with a smirk.
"Yeah." Said Izuku.
"Come on Deku you're doing it too." Said Katsuki.
"Okay…" said Izuku with a sweat drop.
Soon enough it was Katsuki turn.
When it got started she summoned wand and launched herself towards the mountain where all of the robots were.
Gave an explosive kick to one robot, and blew up a few with her wand. She proceeded to give explosive punch to the all but the last, before finishing off the last with her wand.
"Amazing! So far she's in first place!" cheered the announcer for the event.
Next was Izuku's turn.
He took a breath and ran into the battle field.
The first robot he used Katsuki's quirk against it, followed by switching to Shoto's quirk and used his left side but in the robot, one of the robot tried to attack him however he quickly switched to Tsuyu's quirk and hit the robot with his tongue, he switched to Inko's quirk and pulled out a certain components of one of the robots, while switching back to Shoto and freezing two of the remaining robots while finishing off the remaining by using Ochaco's quirk.
"Look like we someone taking 5th place." Said the announcer.
Melissa was surprised at the showing.
"Midoriya copies the quirks of his partners." Explained Yaoyorozu.
"It's still amazing." Said Melissa.
"Seriously Deku?" asked Katsuki.
Izuku blushed at this embarrassed.
"All right! Let's see how our next competitor does." Said the announcer.
As it turned out Shoto decided to do the run as well.
The second it began Shoto covered the entire area in ice.
"We have a new record!" cheered the announcer.
"Oh come on seriously Icy Hot!" yelled Katsuki.
"What? I got the job done." Said Shoto.
"You barley put in any effort!" yelled Katsuki.
Shoto just rolled her eyes.
The others just watched with sweat drops.
"Kacchan! Please clam down!" yelled Izuku.
"No!" yelled Katsuki.
Shoto just sighed at Katsuki.
After they managed to get Katsuki calmed down they all explored the expo tougher having fun.
However there was a also special bonus to preview day, those that attended were also able to attend a gala that night.
And since well… Melissa was the daughter of the man who ran the island she could also invite any one she wanted.
So once the official preview day was over they headed to the Café where the three classmates were existed.
"Hey!" called out Melissa.
The three looked up and she gave the three tickets;.
"What are these?" asked Mineta .
"She decided to take pity on you and give you tickets." Said Jiro.
"Hey! You're going to the Gala too, right Bakugo?" asked Kirishima.
"Deku's dragging me there." Muttered Katsuki, "But I will be there."
"All right! So let's all get ready and meet at up." Said Tenya.
The others all agreed and they all left to get ready for the gala, including Melissia who was happy to hang out with them during the gala.
As they all left to go back there, all of them were unaware of what was going to happen that night… and the chaos that was going to ensue.
Next Time: While meeting up to attend the Gala something happens. The building they're in is taken over by villains! And not only that but the heroes at the Gala are all taken hostage... especially since the villains have I-Island's security under their control. What will happen? Find out next time!
