April headed to the OB/GYN floor and found Addison.

"Oh my God April! You're water broke in surgery?!" Addison said, bringing her into a patient room.

"Yes. By the way, can you get me a hospital gown?"

"Yes, of course." Addison said, she left to grab April her gown and came back to Jackson looking very nervous and April wincing in pain.

"You're doing great April." Jackson said. She gave him a death stare and he helped her into her hospital gown. Addison put the straps over her belly and checked the baby's heart beat.

"He has a very strong heartbeat. That's good." Jackson said. April had another contraction and squeezed extremely tight on Jackson's hand.

"I'm sorry love, I didn't mean to break your hand." April said.

"Break it as many times as you want." Jackson said. He bent down and kissed her.

"You're 6 centimeters dilated April. You're doing amazing." Addison said.

"Can you check on the surgery in OR 2? I need to know how it's going." April said. Addison did as told and headed to the OR.

"How is everything going? Kepner wants to know." Addison said as she walked into the OR.

"I managed to stop the bleeding in the spleen and am repairing it. Derek is finishing the repairs on the brain bleed." Meredith said.

"How's April?" Lexie asked.

"She is doing great. She is 6 centimeters."

"Good. Hopefully next time we hear from you, a baby will be born." Derek said.

Addison walked back to April's room and told her what was happening in the OR. Then April had another contraction and Addison checked the baby's heartbeat again, still strong. When the contraction was over, she checked how many centimeters she was dilated.

"You're 7 centimeters now April. You're doing fantastic." Addison said. She walked out of the room and let Jacson and April alone.

"I could never do what you're doing April. You're so strong." Jackson said.

"I don't need the mushy pep talks Jackson, I'm tryna give birth to a watermelon sized child."

Meredith had finished repairing the spleen and began to close up. Derek was still working on the brain bleed so Meredith stayed in the OR.

"Wilson, you can go. I'll close." Meredith said. Jo scrubbed out and Meredith started to close.

"And done. Good job Grey, I can close." Derek said. Lexie gave Meredith a look and then left.

"You know, watching April's water break today, that was literally my worst nightmare." Meredith said.

"Hopefully it never happens, in an OR I mean." Derek said.

"Yes, right." Meredith said. She finished closing the incision and began to scrub out. Derek met her in the scrub room.

"You did great in there Meredith." Derek said.

"Thank you. Hey can you do me a favor?" Meredith asked, "Can you get Maggie, Lexie and Richard and bring them here?"

"Yes." Derek said, not even questioning why. Meredith left the scrub room and went into her office and grabbed the plastic bag she had put her mother in. She brought it to the scrub room and waited for everyone to show up.

"Hey Mer, what's up?" Maggie asked. When she saw the bag with Ellis in it, she immediately had a look of concern on her face.

"I've decided this is where Ellis will remain." Meredith said, turning on the sink and opening the bag.

"Woah woah. Wait a second Mer-" Maggie said.

Then Meredith turned the bag upside down and Ellis's ashes fell into the sink down the drain.

"It's her favorite OR." Richard said. He closed his eyes for a bit and walked out of the room.

"See, I would assume this was an impulse decision but obviously you took time to think about which OR to use." Lexie said, walking out of the room.

"I- I have no words." Maggie said, she walked out too.

Derek looked at her and put an arm around her shoulder, "See, I didn't even question it." They walked out of the scrub room and headed to the Attending's Lounge.

There, a bunch of Attending's were waiting.

"April is 8 centimeters now." Arizona said.

"You guys are all waiting for Baby Avery?" Meredith asked.

"Yes." Alex asked.

Jo came back and announced, "She's 10 centimeters and was moved to the birthing suite!"

The attendings were all excited and cheered. The sound of pagers rang through the lounge and sighs could be heard around the room. Callie, Owen, and Link left the lounge and Jo went to check on April.

"Ok people, what's the name?" Arizona said.

"I'm going for Jesus. It's right up Keps's alley." Alex said.

"No it's definitely going to be Harper Avery II." Derek said.

"Don't be crazy, It's going to be Genesis. I'm about 99% sure." Meredith said.

"Am I the only one who thinks it's going to be Noah?" Lexie asked.

"I think it's going to be Daniel." Arizona said.

"All these names are good and all but it's Samuel." Amelia said.

"I still like Jesus." Alex said.

April was wheeled back to her room and Jackson was holding their baby in his arms. Around 10 minutes later the Attendings came into her room to meet the baby.

"Please tell me you named him Jesus." Alex said.

"His name is unfortunately not Jesus." Jackson said.

"Everyone meet Samuel Nobert Avery." April said. They all sighed with relief except for Amelia who jumped in the air and collected 5 bucks from everyone.

"You guys did not bet on my baby." April said.

"Of course not.." Amelia said, shoving the bills into her pocket.

One by one they said their congratulations and went back to the lounge but Meredith got a page and had to visit Lonnie.

"Hey Lonnie!" She said walking into his room.

"Hey so I was wondering when I can get my surgery done?" He asked.

"Of course. Your surgery will be rescheduled for tomorrow if it works out." Meredith said. Lonnie nodded and Meredith left the room. She bumped into Jo.

"Dr Grey! I found a resident. Helm said she is available and would love to be on the case."

"Of course she is. Remeber when she confessed her undying love to me?"

"She was also on drugs and was about to go under." Jo said.

"So the surgery is on for tomorrow. I'll clear up my schedule." Meredith said changing the subject.

"Okay. I'll tell Helm." Jo said, walking the opposite direction. Meredith realized she was about done with her shift, so she headed to her office and changed into different clothes. When she finished changing she grabbed Zola's car seat and walked over to the daycare. She picked up Zola and said goodbye to the daycare worker. She put Zola in her carseat and picked up the diaper bag next to her. She walked over to the neuro floor and met Derek in his office.

"There's my girls!" Derek said. He walked up to them and kissed Meredith and went down to Zola's level and gave her a beaming smile. Zola returned the smile and grabbed his finger.

"Hi Zozo, you ready to go home?" Derek asked her. She laughed and Derek stood up and kissed Meredith.

"I think she's ready." Meredith said. Derek opened the door for her and she walked out of his office.

Lexie had just finished her shift and Maggie was in a surgery. Since she had some spare time, she headed to Mark's office.

He looked up from his desk, "Lexie. Hey." He said. He stood up and walked towards her. She beamed up at him and kissed him.

"I have a while before I have to leave so I came here to see you." Lexie said.

Mark wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I'm just finishing up. What if we went to my place."

"I'm waiting for Maggie, but I can tell her I got a ride."

"Ok. Let's go." Mark said. He grabbed his stuff and opened the door for Lexie.

April and Jackson were left alone for most of the night with Samuel. They couldn't stop looking at him, his tiny little eyes were looking into theirs, his the color of Jackson's, and he had red hair the color of April's. Richard and Catherine walked into the room, Catherine beaming ear to ear.

"There's my grandson! And his beautiful mother and father." She said. Jackson took Samuel into his arms and placed him in Catherine's.

"He looks just like you!" Richard said, looking at Jackson, "With the exception of April's red hair."

Samuel gave Richard a little smile and He smiled back at him. Catherine gave him Samuel.

"He's so little. Just like how you were Jackson." Catherine said.

"He is 6 pounds 7 ounces. He's a pretty normal size." Jackson said.

Richard handed April back Samuel and smiled at her. "He's adorable. We'll see you two tomorrow."

Richard and Catherine walked out of the room and Jackson sat on the edge of the bed next to April.

"You did amazing Keps."

"Thank you Jackson." April said. She kissed him and put her head on his shoulder.

"He really does look like you." She said.

"He has your nose." Jackson said.

"He does, doesn't he?"

The night ended with Jackson and April looking at Samuel and smiling.
