On a compartment on a certain scarlet locomotive, four eleven-year-old girls sat in an unusual combination of boredom and apprehension.

"So, why did the two of you have to do different tests on yourself?" asked the sole redhead of the group to two raven haired girls across from her. One of them, wearing glasses and a scowl, rolled her eyes as she lifted her head from the book.

"Well, I fingered myself because back when I was eleven the first time, I suffered from vaginismus. I was checking to see if I had it again, but my body didn't reset itself in that way," she said.

"But what she forgot was that vaginismus can just as much an emotional issue as it is physical," said the other girl in a refined Australian accent. "Since she admitted previously that she had already gotten counseled for it the first time, since she still remembers getting that counseling and reversing the emotional issues that caused it in the first place, her vaginismus didn't come back. By the way, Violet, did you really have to test yourself right there in public?"

"Well, yes, I figured I may as well test myself right there, given how these guys probably don't have gynecologists. Besides, testing for vaginismus is easy as shit. Just try to finger yourself or put in a tampon or something. If you can do it without any pain, you're fine," replied Violet. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but don't be such a prude."

"Either way, my condition, which did come back, had no emotional stressors whatsoever. So it was simply a matter of having doctors scan my reproductive system. Now I'm going to have to pass it again when it gets treated. I actually feel for Neil now that I have to do it again. What time is it now?" asked the Australian before taking a bite out of her fourth sandwich.

The girl sitting next to the redhead looked at her watch. Unlike the other three, who all had light skin, this one had darker skin, as if she was of aboriginal descent. "Five past five." She looked at Violet. "You really didn't change yet? What, does the dictionary hold that much interest to you?" Violet just glared at the other girl. While the other three were in their Hogwarts uniforms, Violet was still wearing her regular clothing – a thin hooded sweatshirt over a t-shirt, and jeans, all three of which would have easily fit someone half again as big as her. The other girl just impatiently gestured to get on with it. Violet just removed her outer garments, leaving her in her underwear as the door opened.

The four of them saw a round faced boy on the verge of tears. His eyes widened from seeing Violet, who glared at him as she slammed the door shut and put on her uniform – skirt first, then the white shirt, tie, and sweater vest before sitting down to put her regulation shoes and socks on.

"Nothing," said the dark-skinned girl. "So long as you didn't bite Neville's head off, I wouldn't have cared." At that moment, another student, a girl with frizzy hair, opened the door.

"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's -"

"No," said Violet.

"Sorry about her. She didn't get a lot of sleep last night. We've been here since the ride started. You should probably ask an older student or a prefect. They might know a spell that could find him," said the redhead.

"Thanks. Oh, I'm Hermione. Hermione Granger."

"Ariel Solheim. Hope you find your – his toad," replied Ariel. She looked at Violet. "What?"

"Nothing. Just … I never knew any Granger named Hermione."

"We're in an alternate universe. Did you really expect everything to be exactly the same?" the Australian asked Violet.

"Oh, fuck you, Miranda," retorted Violet. Miranda just rolled her eyes as she looked out the door, seeing a young blond girl, about their age, being followed by two other girls. Almost like she had seen with …

Miranda just closed the door and sat back down, musing about what she had just said to Violet as they continued reading, eating, or in Ariel's case, took a nap for the remainder of the train ride, until they heard a voice.

"We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately." The four of them nodded to each other as they left their compartment and joined the student body, and then separated as the giant of a man guided all the first years to the boats, where the quartet claimed one, and immediately caught sight of the castle that housed the school.

"Natasha?" Ariel asked the dark-skinned girl. "You okay?"

"Oh, yeah. Just, the sight of it still hasn't gotten old. Grand effect, you know?" Natasha replied. And with that, the boats floated across the lake, sending the four girls to start their first year at Hogwarts. Again.

The Incident:
At 2:35 PM on August 2, 1998, an anomalous reading in the Death Chamber revealed four young girls, each eleven years of age. Each of them claimed to be the daughter of James and Lily Potter, and each of them possessed an eleven inch long holly wand with a phoenix feather core. Scans of their memories showed that their memories were unaltered, and blood tests showed that they were each the daughter of James and Lily Potter. However, none of the four remembered having ever met each other, and the memories revealed locations and people that do not exist, and in some cases, events that could not have happened together. Furthermore, none of them know anything of Harry Potter, also known as the Boy Who Lived, with each girl claiming that they were the Girl Who Lived (interrogations using Legilmency and Veritaserum showed these claims to not only be truthful, but true from their points of view). Each of them remembers defeating the Dark Lord Voldemort as adults, although none of them could remember any of the events that led to his defeat, merely the end result. Legilmency has found that these memories have been blocked, but no safe methods of breaking the block were effective. Each subject has been given an alias and has been enrolled in Hogwarts as first year students.

Author Note: Hello, everybody. This is my first story. It's a bit ambitious, so I'm looking for a beta reader/co-writer. Hopefully I can get this past two or three chapters. Just make sure that you review - that way, I know what to fix in the future.
