As always the main characters belong to JKR, thanks to her for letting us play with them by the way. I am not making money off this but I am keeping my mind active.

Harry and Hermione rode up to the Granger residence looking refined if one could use that term to describe a couple riding a vintage motorcycle in full leather gear. Where as the first arrival of the Potter's had been in maximum skin for shock effect, this time the leathers covered most of the two riders. "Hermione, Harry how was the wedding?" Jane asked as she greeted them at the door.
"The wedding was fine, things got a little tense during the reception but Harry and I survived and just want to put it behind us," Hermione said in a tone that combined with her closed body language Jane recognized from years of experience with her daughter meant she'd talk about it when she was ready and not before.
"Okay… Your cousin called she wanted to remind you that the four of you were getting together before you left for school," Jane countered changing the topic smoothly.
A few phone calls and a day later Harry and Hermione rode up to a cozy little restaurant where Bob Pointdexter and his future wife waited for them.
"So how did you two meet?" Hermione asked looking at her cousin Julie once they were all seated.
"It was a mixer one of my clubs at college set up. We felt the real servicemen and women were being ignored with all the upper types getting awards and such. One of our members knew someone who knew someone and they contacted a few of the ships that were in Portsmouth asking if a few of their sailors would be willing to spend a day visiting with us and letting us know what they felt about everything. We promised them dinner and an evening of dancing with a bus trip back to the ship."
"I was a bit older than they were asking for but went along at my captain's request to insure our sailor's behavior was not too offensive," Bob interjected.
"It wasn't needed. They were all well behaved, however I turned out to be the odd girl out that night. The other girls knew all about how the game was played and when Bob realized I was a little lost he took me under his wing and well you know…" Julie said blushing slightly.
"So you learned the game?" Hermione teased.
"Oh no, not that night anyway. Bob was a true gentleman kept an eye on me and on his… Men. Is that the way you say it dear?"
"Yes, I kept the best girl there for myself. It took more than a few dates to get us to were we are now," Bob said smiling.
"Yes I kept him chasing me until I caught him," Julie replied leaning in to plant a tender kiss on Bob's lips.
"How long before you go back to sea or whatever you do?" Harry asked.
"Not for a few years. I recently transferred to a career-making billet ashore. Once I knew I was going to be around for a few years I quickly decided to ask Julie to marry me. We're getting married in early November then she'll be moving on base with me," Bob said pulling Julie into him, planting a kiss on her lips. Conversation stopped for a few moments while they placed their orders resuming once the waiter was out of hearing range.
"So tell me about you two. I can't believe your school allowed you two to get married just like that," Julie said looking at the two of them intently.
"No we've been together since first year along with another boy. No not like that Julie come on give me a break we were eleven when the three of us hooked up," Hermione said chastising her cousin who had wiggled her eyebrows when Hermione mentioned another boy.
"As I was saying for the first three years it was just three buddies having fun and studying together."
"More like one buddy nagging the other two into studying so we wouldn't fail out," Harry said with a smirk.
"Harry James, if you can't be helpful be quiet," Hermione admonished with a grin.
"Yes my love."
"So what happened your fourth year?" Julie prompted.
"They figured out I was a girl," Hermione dead panned.
"Hermione let me tell it. Our school had a Yule Ball in conjunction with two other schools."
"So which of your two friends did you go with?" Julie asked interrupting Harry.
"Neither one of us. She went with an older guy from one of the other schools. We knew nothing about it until she came down the stairs to the great hall dressed like a goddess."
"Oh and how did your date take this?"
"It wasn't me that his date was upset about he was mooning over another girl who had gone with a really good looking older classmate. You should have seen him sitting there trying to avoid watching that girl while ignoring the really pretty girl right beside him," Hermione said a teasing tone in her voice.
"Really?"
"Oh yes it's amazing my date still talks to me," Harry admitted.
"So how did you two finally get together?"
"I inherited my godfather's motorbike this summer and was out riding it when I hooked up with a group of new friends."
"They tried to take it away and didn't succeed," Hermione interjected.
"Hey this is my story."
"Then tell it better. The group decided to ride to England's friendly with Italy and the girls in the group decided Harry needed a companion so they told him either find one for himself or they would do it for him."
"A phone call later Hermione was coming out her front door and on to the back of my bike."
"Three weeks later I was Mrs. Harry Potter."
"Three weeks?" Julie exclaimed surprised.
"Yes we had to wait for junior here to turn seventeen," Hermione teased.
"Hey I asked you before then."
"Yes you did and quite romantically too," Hermione agreed kissing him with a gentle kiss that promised more later.
Julie and Bob looked at each other and shared a kiss of their own just as salads arrived for everyone.
Once they were alone again Bob looked to Harry asking, "So how did your family respond to you getting married?"
The look that crossed both Harry and Hermione's faces caused Bob pause and worried Julie. After a visible effort on Harry's part accompanied by Hermione's hand on his which drew his eyes to her for a few moments before she nodded back towards their dinner companions Harry opened his mouth to speak only to have Bob say, "If I spoke out of turn Harry you know you don't owe me or Julie an answer."
Harry visibly shrugged then said, "It's all right. Hermione is my family. My parents died when I was one. I was raised, if you could call it that, by an aunt and uncle that treated me as a severe burden. I left their house at the start of the summer and have no plans to return."
"Oh, so how are you…?" Julie asked before she could stop herself.
Hermione's gave her cousin a look that conveyed "change the topic" clearly and forcefully but Harry replied, "I can see why you would ask that. My folks were well off. They left me enough to get through school and a bit more."
"Sorry didn't mean to pry," Julie said.
Bob caught the hint and started to tell a story about a few of the odd things that happened on his last deployment. Keeping them all entertained until the main course arrived and everyone's attention turned to their plate.
They broke up with Hermione promising to mail her mother when she knew about attending the wedding and Julie promising to keep Hermione up to date through Hermione's mother. While wondering to herself why Hermione just couldn't call her.
The Hogwarts owl that arrived on August 29th found Harry and Hermione sitting out in the Granger's backyard enjoying their final day of relaxation prior to school. "We need to accompany a set of twin girls to Hogwarts," Hermione said reading the note that came with their Portkey.
"Where are they?"
"Priory Road in Hungerford."
"Okay where's Hungerford?" A bemused Harry asked his wife. Watching as she got up and grabbed a large map book her father kept beside his chair.
"Here it is. It's about two hours away. We'll need to leave about eight if we're going leave time to socialize with their parents before we leave," Harry's raised eyebrow elegantly expressed what he thought of socializing with parents of two first year's he'd never met.
"What's going on?" Jane Granger asked as she returned from a day of work.
"We've got to go to Hungerford to accompany two first years to Hogwarts," Hermione said with a smile. When she noticed Harry's still decided lack of enthusiasm she added, "Harry look at it this way a Portkey with two young girls that are going to be so in awe that they barely speak."
"Your right I'll take the Portkey,"
"Thought so," Hermione said with a smile.
The next day at ten Alan pulled into a driveway that took up the entire front of a house in Hungerford. As everyone slowly got out of the car the house door opened and a gentleman with a build like a football player a bit younger than Alan asked, "Mr. and Mrs. Potter?" looking toward Alan.
"Hi, I'm Hermione Potter and this is my husband Harry," Hermione said walking over while Harry slowly joined her leaving her familiar in the car. Hedwig not liking Portkey travel was already winging her way to Hogwarts after spending the summer at the Granger's.
The man was obviously surprised. Looking back and forth between the two obvious teenagers he unconsciously asked what was on his mind, "You two are married?"
"Yes sir," Harry said forcing a smile on to his face.
"Let's step inside and we'll explain everything," Alan said coming up behind the couple.
"Right were are my manners. I'm Bill Warren come in my wife's in the kitchen making tea and the girls are bouncing around the living room excited as all get out at attending a Magical school."
"Thanks Bill, I'm Alan Granger and this is my wife Jane we're Hermione's parents," Alan said as he followed his wife in.
A woman came into the hall she was slightly shorter than Bill but her carriage and dress spoke of a high level of education walking over to Alan she said, "You must be Mister Potter."
"Actually I'm his father in law, This is Harry and Hermione Potter," Alan said motioning towards the young couple.
"Oh… Sorry," Turning to face Harry she said, "Hi, I'm Elizabeth Warren."
"Hello Mrs. Warren, This is my wife Hermione and her father Dr. Alan Granger and his wife Dr. Jane Granger," Harry said motioning towards the individuals.
"Doctors?" Elizabeth asked an elegant eyebrow raised slightly.
"Dentists, we have our own practice in London," Jane said trying to keep a smile on her face.
"Pleased to meet you, I'm a department head at the local college and Bill is quite the artist," Elizabeth replied.
"I should let you know that our daughter's marriage is unusual even by their standards," Jane said trying to get the uncomfortable item on the table.
A visibly relieved Elizabeth answered, "I didn't mean to pry. It's just…"
"We know, as the parents of two young girls you were concerned just what type of environment they were entering," Hermione said
"Couldn't have said it better myself," Bill said speaking up.
"To put your minds at somewhat of an ease Harry and I are the first married students at Hogwarts in about two hundred years."
"And they're allowed to return to this boarding school?" Elizabeth asked curiously.
"We are the head boy and girl. As such we have private rooms," Hermione said.
"Mum are these the people we are going with?" a cute blond girl asked from a doorway.
Hermione looked to Elizabeth for an approving nod before kneeling down as greeting the girl, "I'm Hermione Potter and this is Harry we'll be going with you to Hogwarts."
The girl looked between Harry and Hermione for a moment before saying, "You don't look like brother and sister."
Harry chucked as he knelt beside his wife, "You are a sharp one. That's because we're not brother and sister, we're married."
"You two are married?" a shy voice came from behind the girl they were talking to.
"And Amy makes her presence known," Bill said with a chuckle. "Everyone may I present my two young daughter's Amanda and Amy Warren."
"Hi Amanda and Amy," Everyone said as they introduced themselves to the girls.
"It doesn't look like your car will fit everything. Sure you don't need some help?" Bill asked.
"Oh we just brought Harry and Hermione here. They are providing the transportation to Hogwarts," Alan said smiling.
"Portkey," Harry said holding up an old necklace when the Warren's looked towards him.
The next half hour was spent getting everyone going to Hogwarts effects in to a convenient pile in the living room that Hermione shrunk and place in her shoulder bag to Elizabeth's comment of, "Wouldn't that come in handy during a shopping spree."
"The hardest thing is to insure you don't get caught if you do it in the muggle world. However it will be several years before these two master just how to do it," Hermione explained
"Muggle?" Elizabeth asked.
"Sorry," Hermione replied as Harry took the opportunity to duck into the Warren's bathroom changing into his Wizarding robes while Hermione continued, "Witches and wizards refer to non-magical people as muggles, Amanda and Amy will be referred to as muggle born, just as I am."
Elizabeth's glance at Harry as he emerged in his robes complete with the gold Headboy badge on them while Hermione ducked into the bathroom with her robes in hand caused him to say, "My father was from a long line of wizards and my mother was muggle born. I was raised by non-magical relatives and am referred to as muggle raised."
"Our house at school has all variations of ancestry in it," Hermione added as she emerged in her robes.
"Will my daughters have problems because they are… how did you say it Muggle born?" Bill asked.
Harry and Hermione exchanged glances before Hermione replied, "To be honest they will experience some minor problems due to a lack of knowledge. The intensity of it varies with the house they are sorted into. Gryffindor, our house, is very supportive."
When the time got close Harry insured everyone going grabbed the Portkey while Hermione grabbed Crookshanks cage that her father had brought in at the last moment to avoid problems.
After they'd disappeared Elizabeth looked toward Jane saying, "Even after that visit by the headmistress and her demonstration of magic there was a part of me that thought this was all a big practical joke and at some point someone would jump out and say surprise we got you good. Seeing my two leave just now… Well this isn't a joke is it?"
"No your two girls have entered a new world that will be scary and full of surprises just like this one but with its own unique differences. Let me give you our phone numbers so if you have questions you can call us. I know it looks like we are quite comfortable with our daughter being married so young but I can assure you that isn't the truth," Jane said trying to comfort and reassure both Elizabeth and Bill.
Harry Hermione and the twin girls appeared in an empty classroom at Hogwarts. As they were looking around a voice called out, "There's four small goblets on the desk take a sip."
"Why would I want to drink something I don't know what it is?" Harry asked.
"It's anti-polyjuice potion and drinking it is the only way you're getting out of this room in less than an hour."
"Get comfortable everyone. We're here for a while," Hermione said looking around mentally taking inventory of the rooms contents incase they weren't at Hogwarts.
"Why not just drink the stuff?" Amanda asked.
Hermione looked at the two pre-teens asking, "Didn't your parents tell you not to take stuff from strangers?"
"Yes but this is stuff teachers are telling us to drink," Amanda replied.
Harry could see Amy getting a clue about what Hermione was trying to teach the two. "Amy you haven't said anything."
"How do we know this is our school?" she asked looking at her sister who's eyes when wide as she processed just what her sister meant.
"Oh so you mean just because we're suppose to be at school we might not be."
"Right, now this room looks like it belongs in Hogwarts but neither Harry nor I have seen anyone we recognize so when in doubt always act cautiously."
"Correct Mrs. Potter. Now if you four don't mind would you drink that potion so we can get on with today's activities," a somber older woman said as she entered the room.
"Prof… Headmistress I'm sorry we weren't sure," Hermione said.
"Quite alright, caution these days is highly understandable. Wouldn't you agree Mr. Potter," the Headmistress asked looking towards Harry who had yet to reach for a goblet.
"Yes," Harry said picking up the closest goblet and taking a drink.
"Our Defense against the Dark Arts professor would be so disappointed in you. I would have thought it would have taken a little more to convince you," Headmistress McGonagall said watching Harry drink.
Setting the goblet back down Harry replied, "Normally it would have but there is no way anyone could duplicate that exact expression of bemused annoyance you get when you are trying to decide rather to award me house points or deduct them."
"Quite right, now come along there is much to be done," McGonagall said turning and heading out the door with the four students in tow leaving the room empty ready to receive its next batch of students.
Everyone followed the Headmistress down the halls until she stopped at a classroom door that neither Harry nor Hermione had entered during their previous six years at Hogwarts. Seeing everyone looking around McGonagall said, "This is the old waiting room for new students. Since we've had to shuffle people around to cover all the arriving students I was hoping I could impose on both of you to take care of our new students until we are ready for them in the Great Hall."
"You want us to ba…" Harry started only to stop when Hermione's voice rang out in his mind. 'Shut up!'
"Of course Professor McGonagall we are willing to help out where ever you need us. If you don't mind could you tell me since you are having everyone drink the polyjuice canceling potion why didn't someone cast the animagus reversal charm on Crookshanks?" Hermione asked in the sudden silence.
The look on the headmistress's face would be remembered by the two of them for years to come. "Oh my that's a bit of a hole in our system isn't it," She said before hurrying out the door.
As the day progressed the door to the room would open every half hour or so and one or more eleven year olds would join the group. Suddenly it opened and in burst and in came a young girl escorted by Harry's dorm mate Dean Thomas, "Hey Harry I was asking where you were and they said you were riding herd on the firsties so I thought I'd follow mine and meet up with you. Wasn't sure if you'd need help or not, but I seen Hermione's with you so I'm sure everything is under control," Dean said with his trademark grin.
"Hi Dean," the Potters said together.
Dean smiled back, if it had been any one of the sixth year Gryffindor girls with Harry but Hermione he'd have made a comment asking if he was practicing for married life keeping all the young ones in line but joking like that around Hermione could lead one in to danger. He'd avoided her sharp tongue for years and wanted to keep it that way.
"So are you going to stay and help us poor Potters out? They're starting to smell our fear," Harry quipped back.
"Hey we're being nice," Amanda said with a cute pout.
Harry smiled down at the young girl just as Dean put two and two together saying, "Wait a minute… did you just say Potters? As is Mr. and Mrs.?"
Hermione held up her left hand the back of her hand facing Dean as she wiggled her ring finger while asking, "You think I'm wearing these for no reason at all?"
Dean's face went through the available color spectrum first draining to what would pass on him for white before working up to full blush. "Oh Merlin you did it you two actually did it! Congratulations!" Dean said rushing over to Harry who held out his hand to Dean only for Dean to use it to pull him into a manly hug.
"Whose getting congratulations?" Lavender Brown asked as she rounded the corner of the open door.
"Me," Hermione said repeating the move with her rings.
"The bookworm beat us all to Harry?" Lavender asked stopping in shock as her jaw headed towards the floor.
"What?" Parvati Patil asked from right behind Lavender just before her eyes caught Hermione's raised hand. "Oh bloody hell I had the right time but I bet on Ron."
"What the heck are you talking about?" Hermione asked looking at Parvati.
"The twins started a book on when and who you got engaged to back in third year I took start of Seventh year and Ron," Parvati said.
Hermione's intense gaze swung to Lavender who blushed as she said, "After Hogwarts with an unknown muggle."
"Harry did you know about this?" Hermione asked looking annoyed.
"No it's news to me."
"None of the golden trio knew about it and the twins insisted Ginny was added to the not to be told list before she ever arrived at Hogwarts," Shamus said.
"I take it the twins have the entire list."
"Yea and I bet the payout will be something. I got a good look at it once just be glad Oliver's bet didn't work out," Shamus said.
"Do I dare ask?"
"Ron and Harry together after Hogwarts with Hermione being an old maid," Shamus said ducking when Harry glared at him.
Hermione broke up in laughter, "You and Ron? Oh Merlin can you see Molly's reaction… This is Ron and his…" Hermione managed to say before laughing so hard she had to lean against Harry to stay upright.
"Glad you find it so funny Hermione," Harry said a touch of anger in his voice.
After she managed to compose herself Hermione replied, "It's just so impossible. Only Oliver would think it up as one last prank."
"Is this where we're suppose to wait?" several obviously new students asked at the door.
"That's right," Hermione said ushering them in and introducing them to the other new students that were all ready there.
Just then Professor Sprout entered saying, "Mr. and Mrs. Potter I'll take the first years now why don't you and your friends head to the great hall for the welcoming feast."
Harry looked at the clock noting the afternoon had passed rather quickly before they both thanked the Professor heading out talking with their friends. Entering the hall Harry noted that Professor McGonagall looked good in the chair formerly occupied by Dumbledore. Several chairs at the professor's table were empty causing speculation to start among their group as to who would be teaching which subjects. Harry smiled as Remus Lupin entered from a side door waiving at Harry when he spotted him in the crowd causing Harry to nudge Hermione while motioning towards him. "It's good to see him back. I wonder what subject he will be teaching?" Hermione asked quietly.
Everyone quieted down as the first years entered. Their ranks being thin the sorting was over with quickly and Headmistress McGonagall rose in place ignoring the podium Dumbledore used every year. "I have a few start of term announcements. As always the Forbidden forest is called that for a reason students are not permitted in it unless accompanied by a Hogwarts Professor. Speaking of Professors I see no need to introduce them you will meet them in your first class. As no one rode the train please be advised the perfects will be the ones wearing perfect badges. Hogwarts is magical non-perfects cannot wear those badges the castle simply will not allow it. So that excuse will not work with me should one of them give you detention. Your head boy and girl for the first time in many years are a married couple, Mr. Harry Potter and Mrs. Hermione Granger Potter. Having said all that tuck in," McGonagall said before sitting down.
That evening in the head suite Harry said, "I couldn't believe how normal everything felt after McGonagall's speech. Ron griped about having to wait to eat then he rushed through dinner as always though with far better manners.
"I noticed Ginny made eyes at all the boys," Harry said
"Not all the boys Harry. Her attention was focused on Neville."
"Poor Neville," Harry said with a shake of his head.
"I seem to recall you dating her last term," Hermione teased.
Harry nodded saying, "Yes I did and if anyone can say poor Neville it's me."
Hermione debated about discussing Ron and Luna based on what she'd overheard during dinner but decided to wait and talk with Luna before bringing it up with Harry.
The following morning after breakfast Harry and Hermione were just settling in for their first Defense against the Dark Arts class of the year when retired auror Alastor Moody approached them saying, "Are you aware that wearing those rings is a de facto indication of a Mastery in Defense Against the Dark Arts."
"There is still a lot you can teach us," Hermione said looking up at him.
"Possibly," Professor Moody allowed.
"Professor what do those rings indicate?" Susan Bones asked from her seat nearby.
After getting a nod of approval from Harry, Alastor said, "Mr. and Mrs. Potter possess unlimited Dark Creature Hunting licenses issued by the ICW. They could kill any known werewolf or vampire right now without even facing an inquiry."
"Whoa!" Ron said looking at his best friends.
"Not that we plan on doing that," Harry quickly said.
Alastor didn't say anything though he thought if Harry knew Dumbledore was still alive and just waiting for Voldemort to attack Harry allowing him to emerge from hiding. The shock he was alive would allow him to save Harry and defeat Voldemort for good or at least that was what Dumbledore told him would happen.

Following the typed directions he'd found within the packet of papers his superior passed him the day before with a cryptic "You've attracted some attention." A Navy Lieutenant made his way to a nondescript office in the admiralty building and after knocking on the door he entered to find a nondescript office barely 3 meters by 6 meters with one desk and a woman sitting at a single desk bare save a computer screen and keyboard.
"Lieutenant Robert Pointdexter reporting as ordered with his forms filled out to the extent possible," The man said stopping just inside the door.
"Lieutenant do you have a reason the forms are incomplete?"
"Yes, it is hard to answer all the questions about my future wife's family without asking them direct questions. Something that was prohibited under the instructions I received."
"Very well," The individual replied her face bland. She couldn't tell him he'd passed one of the unannounced checks that were built in to this security clearance process. Passing him a card she said, "When you uncover more information please call this number and answer their questions. I am sure I do not need to tell you to insure you are not overheard making that call."
"No," Lieutenant Pointdexter replied curtly.
"Very good, you may return to your duties for now," The woman said turning her attention back to the computer screen leaving the small stack of filled out forms he'd brought sitting on the side of her desk where he'd placed them when she indicated.
A totally confused Robert Pointdexter made his way back to his desk and was soon lost in his work.
That night Robert did his best to have Julie tell stories about her family.
"Why the interest in my family?" She asked.
"Now that I'm marrying into it rather than just dating you I figured I should know a bit more about them."
"Oh, well you've met them all. And I've told you about my parents already. So anything special you'd like to know?"
"No, what about your cousin, Hermione is it? You've hardly mentioned her before but given the way you greeted her I'd have thought I'd heard a lot before this."
"Hermione is a bit of an odd girl. She was quite brilliant in primary school though rather friendless. Mum thought she might be heading off to Mayfield School or possible Talbot and Heath but instead she went to a school up in Scotland. Mum initially thought it might be Kilgraston which is quite exclusive but according to her my aunt won't even tell her which school Hermione attends just that it's a good school with an exclusive clientele and therefore has security concerns. I mean really everyone knows the princes will go to Eton so who needs more security than them?"
"You're right," Robert said hoping to keep her going.
"Then getting married at 17 and to a younger boy. I admit that one totally shocked my parents and me."
"Any idea what she's studying?"
"No and that's another odd thing. Whenever we'd get together during her primary school years there was always some talk of Hermione earning this or that award but since she's gone to that school all they say are her studies are doing well and she's in the top group in her class. Really odd now that I think about it."
"Well that's enough about that come over here the future Mrs. Pointdexter and show Mr. Pointdexter why he should keep you around," Robert said hoping to end this before Julie got suspicious. Now that he had some idea where the government's interest lay.

Harry and Hermione decided to spend the first week or so catching up with their old dorm mates and tonight Harry had invited his old mates to the head students room. After greeting the boys Hermione retreated into the study room to allow them to talk about boy things as she put it.
"I was surprised to get a letter from Headmistress McGonagall informing me about my seventh year classes," Seamus Finnigan said drawing murmurs of agreement from the other boys.
"Oh what did I miss this summer. She told Hermione and I they'd attempted to replace her and she refused. And evidently she's managed to hold off having Aurors here also," Harry said then wondered if he should have mentioned the last bit.
"That's putting it mildly. According to Gram there was a big bust up at the Board meeting before they agreed to keep her. They wanted to put Umbridge back in charge and she let them know that was not going to happen." Neville said.
After a bit more discussion about what everyone heard Neville again spoke, "You should know there's a rumor going around that you know who sent teams of death eaters to kill McGonagall three times over the summer."
"Why's that a rumor. I would think, seeing as she's still here there would be dead or injured death eaters to be dealt with," Harry asked.
"That's just it. There were no bodies, no one going to St. Mungo's, nothing not one bit of evidence just something heard from a friend of a friend," Seamus said.
"Well Professor Flitwick is a dueling master, Professor Moody was a Auror, and Headmistress McGonagall is a Transfiguration Mistress so at least two of the three are good fighters.
"I heard Natalie McDonald talking with some of the girls. Don't know if it applies but she said when Professor McGonagall visited her to tell her about magic and give Natalie her Hogwarts letter. Her father rose saluted the Professor and said whatever McGonagall wanted was hers. Though she didn't call her professor Natalie used some Gaelic term," Dean said.
"And none of us speak Gaelic," Harry said before noticing Seamus thinking.
Seamus spoke up saying, "You didn't hear something like Am Freiceadan Dubh t-aingeal did you?"
"Yea that's actually rather close."
"Ah crap, that's McGonagall? And I acted up in her class, me mum will tan me hide," Seamus said to himself.
"Seamus what does whatever you said mean?"
"Roughly it translates as 'the Black Watch Angel' I was never told much but I'd guess Natalie's father was a member of the Black Watch given his reaction. I'm Irish but we respect good fighters and tell a lot of stories about them. One is the Black Watch had a guardian angel during the second world war helping them survive. They call whomever it was Am Freiceadan Dubh t-aingeal."
"So you're saying she might not have needed anyone's help?"
Seamus nodded saying, "If she is Am Freiceadan Dubh t-aingeal then no. I wouldn't be surprised if she could get a contingent of former Black Watch to act as guards within hours."
"Hey time for anyone not living here to head out!" Hermione called from the study room.
Good natured grumbles could be heard from the boys mostly centered on Hermione wanting them gone so she get Harry alone. With a grin Harry hustled them out.

At Parkinson Manor Voldemort was questioning Lucius Malfoy. "And you are sure about this locket's destruction?"
"Yes my lord. I dealt with the Malfoy family Goblin accountant telling him there had been a number of Black family heirlooms in Black Manor that should have come to my wife. He assured me that while a locket from the Black Manor was destroyed it was a man's locket."
Knowing he'd involved Regulus Black out of a need to have an elf assist him in hiding Slytherin's locket and with the destroyed locket coming from the Black family home Voldemort was relatively sure he was down another Horcrux. Not wanting to alert his slippery follower anything was amiss he waived the matter away as if it was of no concern. "What information has emerged from Hogwarts?" He asked looking towards Eugene Farley whose daughter Gemma had been tasked with sending reports home about the goings on.
"My Lord Gemma reports the Head students are Harry Potter and Hermione Potter."
"He actually married the mudblood?" Draco burst out drawing Voldemort's wrath. A severe stinging hex to his manhood later his father asked and received permission to cast a silencing charm on him as he lay on the floor curled into a ball moaning.
"Evidently your son has trouble reading. The Daily Prophet reported on their wedding over a week ago," Voldemort said turning his attention back to Farley. Catching the hint about old information Farley continued, "My lord, as I'm sure you have also heard both Potters possess unlimited dark creature hunting licenses from the ICW."
"Yes,"
"The rest is mere gossip about the other students the most interesting one might be with Potter married the young Weasley girl has turned her attention to Neville Longbottom."
Seeing the gleam in Bellatrix's eyes at the mention of Neville Voldemort said, "Don't worry Bella all my death eaters know he is to be captured alive if possible for you to torture."
"Thank you my Lord."
"The first thing on my agenda is to eliminate Potter. Now knowing he has a muggleborn wife we know where he will be sooner or later. Lucius your job is to find out where her parents live. Perhaps you son might have useful information so I will allow you to bring him home with you. Once you have a location inform me immediately."
"Yes my Lord," Lucius replied taking the statement as direction to leave, levitating his son as he did.
With his death eaters leaving to go about their tasks Voldemort sat contemplating just how he was going to ensure a successful attack this time.
It took only two days for Lucius to return with the Granger family's address from ministry records. "Pettigrew, I want you to use your special talents to verify this address is still valid and if you accomplish that you will also find a location for our apparition. While you are very good I want a group of my death eaters familiar with the location."
"Yes my lord," Peter said leaving when his lord motioned for him to go. He was pleased to be the scout for the final demise of the Potter family.
With him gone Voldemort turned to Farley, "Ensure your daughter pays attention to the comings and goings of the Potters. I suspect they will be allowed to visit her parents a few times if we can be notified early enough we can arrange a good reception."
Farley quickly left with a smile on his face if Gemma was successful the Farley's would have a good year.

Harry told Hermione on her birthday they'd be taking advantage of their ability to leave Hogwarts as part of her birthday gift to spend the weekend of September 21 and 22 with Her parents.
When the two of them left that Friday after classes using a portkey to arrive in the Granger's spacious back yard. Their exit was noticed by a sharp eyed Gemma who was quick to question her source in Gryffindor before going to the owlery. The Potters had just settled down for the night when Voldemort was informed they were with her parents. Thanks to Lucius he knew where they lived in Wokingham and was quick to send Peter to keep an eye on the house.
Peter took advantage of his animagus size using the dark of night to plant the end of an extendable ear against one of the home's windows. He was then able to lay in a burrow with the other end of the ear listening to everything going on. When they talked about going out for the night he waited until he heard reservations being made for 7 that night before he scurried away transforming and apparating out in almost one motion.
Voldemort received Peter's report then sent him back to learn when they would be leaving. He quickly summoned his death eaters he wanted them waiting for Peter's return just incase there was little time. When Peter returned that evening all of the Death Eaters with knowledge of the Granger home were waiting. "Master they were getting ready just as I left," Peter said.
"Then let us not tarry. Everyone grab on to the port key," he said as Lucius held out the length of rope.
After a quick look to ensure everything was as he wanted Voldemort grabbed the portkey activating it.
The flash of a portkey arrival attracted the attention of everyone leaving the Granger house. "Back inside," Harry said doing his best to hustle his in-laws to safety.
When Harry turned to face the death eaters Hermione spoke up saying, "Not without me you don't."
"Hermione you need to protect your parents. I'll fight better if I know you're safe," Harry countered pushing her inside and closing the door behind her.
"Potter so protective of the muggles. It won't do you any good. Once I kill you my death eaters will ravage this entire street," Voldemort boasted.
"What are they going to do after you fail yet again in your quest to kill me?"
"Oh, I won't fail again," Voldemort said as Harry dodged a spell from someone on the fringe of the death eater group.
"Potter is mine!" Voldemort called out halting any further attacks from his death eaters. "I know with your wife and her family depending on your protection you won't run from me like you did in the graveyard."
Harry had to admit he was right but he realized the more Voldemort talked the better prompting him by saying, "Next you'll say that's why you never married."
"If I am going to live forever why would I need to sire offspring. Do you know how many great leaders in history were killed by their own sons? I decided long ago that I didn't need that. My death eaters do my bidding far better than any offspring would."
"Yea I saw that would be a problem when you were reincarnated. Man I'm always surprised by the things people will give up for power. How is life as a eunuch?" Harry asked attempting to upset Voldemort.
While he was apparently unsuccessful in his attempt with Voldemort he wasn't with his followers given the disgusted expressions he noticed on more than a few faces. Including a shocked one on Bella. "Enough, Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort called out sending a green curse speeding towards Harry who manage to dodge to the side.
Harry had been watching as the death eaters had formed a semicircle around him leaving just two to watch their backs. Recalling the comments the Grangers had made concerning their neighbor always working on cars and a few of the ones from his motorcycle buddies Harry looked at his positioning and with a grin whispered, "Accio 7/16 socket," putting as much power into it as he could.
Voldemort started to laugh when no spell emerged from Harry's wand only to look down in shock as something blew through his chest before hitting the wall behind Harry. Seeing his success Harry said, "Accio 10 mm socket," this time the socket appeared from Bellatrix's chest just as Harry started to hear the wail and yelp of approaching police cars.
"What is this?" Voldemort asked as Bellatrix slumped to the street beside him her blood pumping out of her chest rather than through her body.
Noting Voldemort was still standing Harry called out, "Accio 1 inch socket," as he expected the hole in Voldemort was drastically enlarged.
Voldemort was quick to realize with only the Horcrux in Nagini left his options were limited. Instead of just dying and using his last horcrux to survive he chose to draw on the life forces of his marked followers to keep him alive until he could drop the anti-apparition and anti-portkey wards he'd erected and apparate or portkey away. Unfortunately for him he'd started too late and was unable to gather enough magic to accomplish both tasks. Though unknown to anyone he'd managed to draw the magic from the death eater back at Parkinson Manor slicing up a goat for Nagini's meal. Anticipating being fed Nagini was next to him and when the death eater died he fell driving the knife in his hand though Nagini killing the snake and destroying the last of Voldemort's Horcrux.
The police were checking the bodies lying on the ground as Harry stood outside but on the Granger's property. His empty hands raised the Granger's having been cautioned to stay inside until told otherwise when they'd tried to rush to Harry. Suddenly multiple pops sounded as the Aurors arrived with a team of Obliviators. Who quickly set to work dealing with the police and neighbors. Once they realized who was lying dead in the street they confronted Harry and after he pointed them towards Voldemort's body their focus changed allowing him to relax and the Granger's to join him. "Should we tell them about the body camera's on a few of those officers?" Alan Granger asked.
"Nah, let's see what happens. There's way too many closed circuit camera's around today. I wouldn't be surprised they know all about the magical world. If not they soon will," Harry replied.
It took a bit of an argument before the obliviators agreed the Granger's did not need their memories modified and they were allowed to go to dinner arriving only 15 minutes later with apologies. Surprising Harry as after calling the police Jane Granger had called the restaurant saying they'd be running a bit late.

Albus Dumbledore was enjoying the sun and westerly sea breeze as he sat at the entrance to the cave on Colonsay in the Inner Hebrides where he was hiding comfortably in a large wizard's tent concealed in a cave. One of his two house elves was on guard to alert him should anyone be walking in the area and the other was just delivering that day's Daily Prophet.
"Harry Potter defeats You-Know-Who!" screamed the headline in the large type reserved for special occasions. Dumbledore's reaction started the rumor the western cliffs out of Kiloran Bay were haunted.
Up at Hogwarts the students finished reading the Daily Prophet before quickly searching for Harry or Hermione some wanting to assure themselves Harry was alright a few others determined to ensure he wasn't. It wasn't until lunch that a few prefects approached the professors table reporting both the head boy and head girl were missing. "They are not missing I have excused them for the weekend as they had a few things to deal with. They are due back Monday morning," Headmistress McGonagall said.
"Is the story in this morning's Daily Prophet true?" One of the prefects asked.
"After reading it at the same time as you did I personally checked with Madam Bones. She assured me it was surprisingly factual considering who was reporting it."
"Is Harry alright?" A Gryffindor Prefect asked.
"I am unaware of Mr. Potter's condition at the moment. However…," McGonagall replied trailing off as she spotted a snowy owl approaching her. A few minutes later after reading the note she looked at the great hall. most of the students present had their attention focused on her. "As most of you have surmised that was Potter's owl. He reports he and his wife are fine and will return to Hogwarts as scheduled."
What Harry didn't report in his letter to the Headmistress was the attempt by a ministry flunky who was waiting when they returned from the restaurant to arrest Harry for causing the deaths of all the marked death eaters along with Voldemort himself. He seemed determined to ignore their unlimited Dark Creature Hunting licenses issued by the ICW and the ICW paperwork classifying individuals wearing the Dark Mark along with Tom Riddle as Dark Creatures. It took summoning Madam Bones who explained just what the repercussions would be to him personally and the British Ministry should they attempt to arrest let alone prosecute Mr. Potter for his actions. With a caution to Harry to not leave the country he headed back to the ministry to verify Madam Bones facts.
It took several weeks after their return to Hogwarts but by All Hallows Eve things had quieted down allowing Harry and Hermione to spend the night together in the head rooms while the rest of the school celebrated the holiday. November 16 they left school to attend Julie and Bob's wedding which was great fun for both of them.
Christmas was spent with Jane and Hermione focused on a reception at the end of the school year. Hermione was adamant she did not want another wedding but was willing to allow her parents to throw a reception for them. Hedwig was kept busy going back and forth between the two women as they decided all the minutiae involved in the reception. In early May Jane reported the Dursley's had declined to attend to the relief of both Harry and Hermione however she also reported having to deal with multiple strong offers of assistance from one Molly Weasley. It took Harry contacting Arthur before Jane was able to report things were back to normal.
School ended with the Minister of Magic presenting Harry an Order of Merlin first class for ridding their world of Voldemort or as the Minister said "Lord Thingie," during their leaving feast.
A week later they enjoyed their reception where Hermione's family met a few of Harry friends and their family. It was also when the Potters learned the Pointdexters were expecting. Though Julie wanted it kept quiet for the time being. Whenever they were asked what was next Harry and Hermione both replied travel and hopefully some university study overseas. Not wanting to say places awaited them for advanced study at Mahoutokoro Wizarding School in Japan.

Albus Dumbledore was confused as he sat bundled up hiding comfortably in a large wizard's tent concealed in a cave on Colonsay. There was a pile of Daily Prophets next to him each one driving home the point Harry had defeated Voldemort without his help. He had shifted the blame for his missing the final battle thus causing him to still be in hiding from himself to the two people he trusted to report to him cursing them both verbally and with his wand when they arrived minutes apart with the news. Since that time they'd only sent owls and increasingly infrequent ones at that. As the winter waned and spring approached Dumbledore realized this bit of Scotland was where he would live until he truly died and where his bones would lie ever after.
THE END
Yes there are loose ends. That is intentional. I leave their wrap-up to your imagination.
