This is my own English version lyrics of Yi Bo Wang's Song "Don't Forget" from The Untamed song-inspired album.
Listen to the entire song as you read this and sing along. I can't stop listening to this song. Even before I knew what the words meant, I felt its soulful connection from Lan Wangji character and just had to find the words.
Unfortunately, making an english version to match the musical rhythm required eliminating most of its beautiful vocabulary from the Chinese version and rearranging the lines, which is a tragedy. In other words, since the Chinese translation was too extended to be in tune with the song, I was forced to make some verbal changes, so just know that this translated version technically not accurate to the real song, nor does it do it much justice, but I hope it's contains the same meaning from the original song.
*Imagine Lan Wangji kneeling in the snow in the face of punishment and injustice, thinking about Wei Wuxian in his longing and mourning. ~LW x WWX
I do not own any of this. The song belongs to Yibo Wang.
Lan Wangji's Song of Remembrance
Cool clouds in the night
Beneath the moon my heart breathes a sigh
Falling snow's pure white
Gazing into days that have long gone by
Gusu's fine wine found
Buried in the elegant snow, alone
A song of Inquiry's sound
Playing the melody through the unknown
Are you there to ask
Asking all the ancient fools that came
Are you far away
Asking how the black and white are worth the praise and the blame?
Do you dare forget
Together in the crowd we made a vow
Where are you now?
Your face I can't forget
~.~
Verse 2
~.~
Bright light of this world
Reigning justice far and wide
Still he won't forget
the pain of the past he feels inside
Discord's blade rings aloud
Maddened by love, hatred, despair
The song of Inquiry's sound
The melody playing through the air
Are you wondering
Demanding all the ancient fools that came
Are you further now
Wondering how the black and white is worth the praise and the blame?
How can you forget
Our promise that will haunt you to the end
And where are you now?
Don't forget, my friend~

(Music picks up)

Final Verse
Can you still forget
Forget the people stuck in ancient days
Do you still regret
Never knowing how black and white is measured by blame and praise?
Do you remember now
Life moves on but you I won't forget
You are with me now
Still the same, since we met
