Hey WK fandom. I've had so many ideas for fanfictions during this pandemic, but I think I finally have written something that I can post.
"Vacation tiiiiiiime!" the brothers shouted as they ran out of the Tortuga.
"Ah, the beach," Jimmy said. "The sand, the waves, the warm sun…"
"The shells to collect, the beautiful scenery," Chris continued. "And best of all…"
"The beach creatures!" The brothers said together.
"Well, the whole island's our oyster. What do you all want to do first?" the green brother asked.
"You know, bro?" Martin said, putting out a towel. "I'm up for doing a bit of nothing for a while. We can soak in some vitamin D, build a sandcastle or two, and maybe some creatures will come to us."
Suntanning wasn't the way Chris expected to spend the first day of vacation, but he couldn't deny it had been a busy couple weeks.
"I suppose now that you mention it, nothing sounds great," Chris agreed.
"It sounds perfect," Jimmy declared, lying on the beach towel put in front of him.
"Koki, Aviva, care to join us?" Martin asked the female members of the crew.
"Sure!" Koki said. "Here's some lemonade."
The crew applied sunscreen and the oldest Kratt took out a brochure while he sipped his lemonade.
"So, what does the brochure say about the area, bro?" Chris asked.
"'Isla Paradiso is the epitome of island living with the best a tropical environment can offer'," Martin read. "'Whether you're looking to stay at a 5 star resort, or a marine biologist interested in our beautiful scuba diving spots, we have a but for everyone.' It's big, too! No wonder there's so much to do."
"Amazing!" Chris said, wide-eyed. "And enjoying this beautiful beach is a good start. After we're done with our lemonade, let's go build that sandcastle!"
Zach was in his building patroling the Wild Kratts team.
"Hahaha," he laughed evilly. "Well, what they don't know is that my secluded island is near Isla Paradiso. They have no idea I'm here. Maybe I should let another villain in on what the Wild Rats are up to. Zachbots, call Donita!"
The video feed showed the fashion designer at her vanity putting on her makeup for the day.
"What's going on, Zach?" she asked.
"Hello Donita. I'm currently at my island. Near the place called Isla Paradiso? The Wild Rats are there. I know your mansion isn't too far away by jet."
"So? Do you have a plan to stop them? What are they doing?"
"Do they have to be doing something for us to stop them? It might be better to be proactive."
"Hm… well, we always lose. Being proactive could be something to change the status quo." Donita said as she finished putting in hairspray. She then turned to look at Zach in the camera.
"Speaking of, there's a reason why we always lose, I think. What's always involved when the Wild Kratts defeat us?"
It dawned on Zach that he never really paid attention to that. All that mattered to him was that he always lost and it was annoying.
"Um… Creature Powers?" he guessed.
"No! Well, yes, but when they defeat us, they do it together," Donita noted.
"Are you saying that we villains need to team up against them? That's never worked," Zach said despite admitting Donita was right in his head.
"Well yes, that will help, but what I think we really need to do is split them up. If they can't work together, they won't be able to stop us. I'm sure of it."
Zach was shocked. He had collaborated with the other villains before, but even then there was never this much comradery. It was unfamiliar to him and he wasn't exactly sure if he liked it. But he didn't want the Wild Kratts team to win again.
"Hm," Zach responded. "As they say, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting things to change. Maybe we've been so blinded by those stupid Wild Rats that we've forgotten what's really important. I'm glad I called. Your mansion is near too, is it not?"
"Yes, fortunately."
"Alrighty then," Zach said with a satisfied smirk. "And why not, let's call Gourmand and Paisley, too. Those Wild Rats always say there's power in numbers."
