"You okay there, Rex?" Anakin asked the Clone trooper Captain.

For nearly half an hour, the Jedi knight was watching the Clone Captain do several stretches and exercises. He'd hand done the whole Republic army exercise routine in half the time it would typically take a Clone to do. Rex had done it in full armor and looked barely tired. Some of the other troopers that were with them could only stare at their Captain in awe.

"Feeling great, General," the Captain replied. "I don't feel that tired is all. Like I could do this all day! Feels like my time back in the academy, but better!"

"We should get Ruby's opinion on this since she unlocked your Aura. She is our resident expert on this," Anakin said.

It had just been two days now that the young girl had shown up within the Republic and the Order. Ruby stayed within the Temple in the guest wing, with Ahsoka assigned as her guide for the time being. Anakin had not been in contact with them much after the meeting with Ruby and Ahsoka retiring for the day. But there was still much to discuss.

Like how Anakin declared how he offered his services to find Ruby's missing world, Remnant, and bring her home. The rest of the council was unsure how to respond to this with the war still proceeding. But with Greaves on the run, it had given everyone time to breathe for a time. Plus, he had a few ideas that he wanted to follow, like the people that Yoda found that had the same color eyes as the redhead. If he could locate them, maybe he could help them on their journey and unite Ruby with them.

There was also a secret agenda that he held. One that he wanted to discuss with his secret wife later.

"Is Ruby still at the Temple?" Rex asked."

"She is, I'll get in contact with the Temple later. In the meantime, we've got our work cut out. We still got some things to discuss why our patrols and fleets are getting destroyed so suddenly."

His communicator beeped, ceasing any further conversation. Answering it, Anakin saw the His old master Obi-wan calling him. "Hello, master. Is something wrong? I was just about brief my officers about the situation with our destroyed patrols."

"I apologize, Anakin, but it concerns your padawan and our new guest in the temple," Obi-wan said. His tone of voice laced with a tired annoyance that the young Jedi knight knew all too well.

Anakin raised an eyebrow at this, wondering what the two girls did to receive this. "Are they Okay? Did something happen?"

"They are alright, but your presence over is required. A ship should be coming to you soon to take you over to the Industrial district."

Anakin and Rex exchanged looks of confusion before turning back to Obi-wan. "The Industrial district?"

"All will be clear once you arrive. It's best if you hear the story from your two charges, yourself." Obi-wan then cut the communications.

It was then a LAAT gunship landed nearby with a few Coruscant security officers coming off and approaching the two.

"This should be interesting," Rex commented.

.

.

Rex turned out to be right.

The Jedi Knight and clone Captain could only stare in disbelief at the Knight's Padawan and young Huntress.

The girls in question were trying to smile and act innocently in front of them, with Ahsoka rubbing her arm and Ruby rubbing her head.

Now in typical situations, this would be considered suspicious. But due to the squads of Coruscant security officers and Coruscant Guard Clone troopers all around them. Something just wasn't right.

Nearby several Coruscant officers were getting their statements of the situation with several civilians. Master Obi-wan was standing nearby with one arm crossed over his chest and another rubbing his Temple with his thumb and forefinger. Master Yoda stood next to him, watching the whole thing, smiling with eyes twinkling with amusement of the entire situation.

"So let me get this story straight," Anakin said as he tried to come to terms with what he was told. "Ruby wanted to see more of the planet, so wanting to be a good friend to her, you did so, Ahsoka."

The Padawan nodded. "I showed Ruby the temple yesterday and thought it would be nice to show some places I know in the city."

"But Ruby spot's someone she thought was suspicious and wanted to follow the guy, but you were against it saying there are plenty dressed like the man in question."

"The guy just had that look in his eye's you know that just screams bad intentions'?" The redhead said. "And I was right! We followed him across the city and led us to an evil slave grabbing operation."

The Jedi Knight and Clone Captain looked to their left to see several Clones braking off slave collars off people necks. According to the reports, the slavers were small-time thugs wanting to make it big in the slave trafficking business. The guy they tailed turned out to be one of the gang's lieutenants. A report from intervening one of the members told them they were taking people from the populous with engineering backgrounds, specifically those in shipbuilding. The reason for that was just behind the girls.

An old Republic Hammerhead Cruiser.

From what Anakin could see of the old Cruiser, it looked almost space worthy. The color on the hull was faded with age. Some portions of metal plaiting were still missing but still 90% intact by the looks of it, and one of the four ion engines was nearing the end of being reassembled. Lastly, its weapons compliment got refurbished.

If the Knight remembered correctly from his history lessons on Republic ships, it had most of its weapons on the front of the vessel. And the gangsters had gotten ahold of some hefty firepower. The gang member confessed that the area below them was where the Republic made the components for their ships. Which included ship weapons like the heavy turbolaser batteries on the top and bottom of the forward section. Along with the two dual-medium turbolasers on the sides where the bridge would be. It's torpedo bays looked ready to be used, and its point defense Gatling cannons looked like they are in working order. The Thugs also seemed to have gotten a little creative by adding another dual-medium turbolaser battery on the rear end of the ship, just above the crew quarters.

Seeing that a bunch of thugs wanting to convert this once proud vessel into slave barge did not sit well with the former slave turned Jedi Knight.

"It appears you were," Rex said. "So after finding all this, instead of calling for back up or Coruscant security. You infiltrated the hideout, disabled the slave collars, and organized a slave revolt against the gang." Looking at the surviving gang members that were captured, many sported lumps and bruises across their faces. Meaning that many were beaten, and judging how a few of the slaves still have pipes in their hands doesn't take a Jedi to know who done it.

"It just felt like it was the right thing to do," Ruby answered. "No one deserves to be enslaved. Everyone has the right to live."

That struck a chord within Anakin. He wanted to discipline them for such recklessness but couldn't find the heart to do it. Having been a slave in early childhood, he's had a small bit of hatred in him for slavers and slaveholders.

"So...now what?" Ruby asked.

"What indeed," Anakin sighed. "I want to be mad at you two for doing something reckless. But doing so, I'd be labeling myself a hypocrite due to all the stunts I've pulled. So I'll let this slide on the account that you girl's saved a lot of lives today and more than likely have reunited many families today with missing loved ones."

Ahsoka looked relieved and bowed. "Thank you, Master."

"Thank you, mister Skywalker," Ruby said, looking happy at them.

"Just don't do this by yourselves again. Now, we need to figure out what we are going to do this ship?" Anakin gestured towards the old warship. Everyone stood to look at the old Cruiser.

"Would this old rust bucket still fly?" Rex asked.

"This is an old ship designed that the Republic used extensively in the past for centuries," Obi-wan said as he joined in on the conversation. "The gang members surprisingly did an excellent job in restoring it. They just needed to put that engine together and finish the hull in a few sections, and it would have been cleared to make orbit."

"Ummm...could I have it?"

Everyone looked to the resident Huntress that said those words.

"Ruby, do you even know how to fly a ship or maintain one for that matter?" Ahsoka asked her friend.

"No, but I can learn. My Uncle taught me a lot about maintaining weapons, and my sister taught me how engines work. How hard is it to fly?" She asked.

Anakin answered her this time. "For a ship this size? Very. You need a least a dozen people to fly and maintain this ship in the short term and over a hundred fifty to crew it properly."

"Oh..." Ruby realized her predicament as Obi-wan continued after Anakin.

"Not to mention the coast of maintaining one and pay for the crew. To which I believe you don't have a standard galactic credit to your name nor have a credit chit to hold them."

Ruby slumped forward in defeat. It is true, she didn't have any of those things. The dream of being a space captain to explore strange new worlds in search of her home suddenly went down like a burning airship.

"We'll help."

Ruby blinked in surprise before she and the Jedi turned to a group of freed slaves standing before them. The speaker was a pink and violet skinned Twi'lek female that looked like she was slightly older than Ruby. Behind her in the group had a mixture of humans and other species she didn't know the names of.

"Really? Why?" Ruby said in surprise. The Jedi was also taken back.

"I worked as a low-level shipwright being underpaid by a private shipbuilding company that builds transport barges. It was a dead-end job that wouldn't let me advance up the ranks unless you got friends in high places. Plus, I found out I was fired from that job after not showing up due to being enslaved for nearly three months, and my apartment foreclosed me, so I have no job or home to go back to." The Twi'lek explained. This was voiced by everyone as the freed slaves faced similar situations, no income or home.

The Jedi look at each other in worried looks. On the other hand, Ruby had a determined look and stepped forward and stood before the group. "Why me?"

The Twi'lek shrugged her shoulders. "You helped us and didn't ask us for compensation. Aside from the Jedi, not many on this planet would do so." The group of freed slaves nodded their heads while some sent murmurs in agreement.

"How many of you have families that need shelter?"

The group of freed slaves was obviously not expecting such a question next. Some looked at each other before several hands went up.

"Get in touch with them to gather their things. The rest of use will check the crew quarters to see if they are in livable conditions."

"Ruby, what are you planning?" Obi-wan asked curiously to the girl. Ruby turned back to them, the Masters had to blink a few times as the Force within Ruby shown bright with the Force.

"Huntsman and Huntresses are beacons of hope. We inspire to be the heroes that protect the world from darkness. Whether they fight monsters daily or helping kids get safely to school. Seeing I have the opportunity to continue to help these people, I will take it and not waste this chance."

"Hmmm, set on this path, are you?" Yoda asked the girl.

The Huntress nodded. "I chose this path long ago."

Yoda nodded. "Also, continue your search for your people?" He inquired.

"They are out there, and I will find," Ruby said with much conviction.

Yoda hummed again as he closed his eyes. It looked like he was thinking while, in reality, he was looking to the Force for answers. A few moments later, he reopened his eyes. "Very well young one, your path is set before you should you travel it."

Ruby bent down and hugged the little grandmaster. While the rest was taken back by this sudden show of affection, Yoda was not. "Thank you, Master Yoda."

"When the time has come to for you fly, I would be able to locate where your family is." Yoda then turned to walk away, leaving a group of bewildered free slaves and Jedi with one clone Captain.

"Whelp, that was something," one of the free slaves said.

"So, what now?" Another asked.

"Are your orders of our families still in effect, Captain?" The Twi'lek girl asked.

It took a few moments for Ruby to realize that the alien was talking to her. She took a deep breath while calling out to her inner leader before answering. "Yes, gather your families and get them situated on the ship. Then take the rest of the day off for tomorrow we go to work to complete our new home, understood?"

Various forms of agreement answered her and left to get to work.

Before the Twi'lek girl could move on, Ruby stopped her. "Wait, what's your name?"

"...Julie, Julie Renee is the name." Julie introduced herself.

"Ruby Rose, " she held a hand out to which the Twi'lek took before leaving to the ship.

"Well, I definitely didn't see this coming when I woke up this morning," Obi-wan said. He walked up and put a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "As much as I want to stick around see this plays out, I must return to my ship in orbit. I believe that your trials have only just begun, and it may have a long road ahead of you. I wish you well, Ruby Rose."

"Thank you, Master Obi-wan. I'm more than likely to be hanging around between here and the Temple until the ship is operational." Ruby turned to the other Jedi present. "I mean if that's okay with you all."

Anakin nodded. "I'm okay with it. I'll even help out by sending tech volunteers from my ship down to help out in the repairs. Possibly upgrade some of its systems while they're at it. No doubt word has spread through my ship about what you did on Rishi. But while your new ship is getting finished refurbished, you will be getting some much-needed training."

"Training?"

The Knight nodded. "If you are going to own a big ship like this, then I'm not going to let you go off without knowing how to properly command it. This is why you will be joining Ashoka and me on the Resolute to learn how a ship operates on the next few deployments."

The young Rose nodded in agreement to this. She had no experience captaining a ship, so she will need all the help she can get. "I accept. I'm going to need to inform the others on the, huh, just realized. I don't even know my new ship's name?"

Obi-wan pulled out a tablet and scrolled over its contents. "It appears that the tugs wiped its computer banks along with the ship registration. And the gangsters haven't decided to put in a new one yet, so it's still unnamed."

"It's your ship now, Ruby. What are you going to call her?" Ahsoka said.

Ruby looked over at the Hammerhead Cruiser in deep thought. "I think I'll call her..."

Rushing a few things for Ruby here. I was going to have Ruby explore the Jedi Temple but my mind kept drawing up planks so I'll save that for later. Also Yes I did just essentially gave a teenage girl one of the most iconic KOTOR Republic vessel. The Hammerhead Cruiser , like the Endar Spire in the first KOTOR game.

I was planning on giving Ruby a ship of her own I just hadn't decided on what to give her. I narrowed it down to these four options. Ships that were Clone Wars area ships or pre-Clone Wars area ships.

CR-70 Corellian corvette

Old Republic Hammerhead Cruiser

Consular-class Republic cruiser

XS stock light freighter

Now to the fans I need some help with naming Ruby's new ship. Please Comment on what you think it should be named.

Also apologies for any Grammar mistakes I may have missed in this chapter as I am not perfect with this.

Thank you for reading and may the Force be with you.
