Yorkshire, Downton Abbey, servant ball.

He can't take his eyes off her. She looks so beautiful dressed like that, in a long, dark blue dress. Her hair on a different hairdo, how she usually wears it. He can see all her curves, all her beautiful appealing curves under the dress. And the golden band in her finger to remind him that this beauty is his. His wife.

"Carson? Is everything quite alright?"Her ladyship asks, dancing in the arms of the butler."You've been very quiet tonight."

He startles, hearing his name.

"Yes of course, your ladyship. I just got a lot to think."He lies.

"I hope everything is alright downstairs?"She questiones, watching as the butler turns his head."Carson I'm over here."

"I do beg you pardon, milady."Charles clears his throat.

"Why don't you just ask her to dance?"Cora smiles.

"Milady?"He asks.

"I see you've been glancing at your wife for the whole time we've danced, so I though you would like to ask her to dance."She says, her lips swirled on a smile.

"I don't think that is very suitable, your ladyship."He answers.

"We can make a small exception tonight, what would you say Carson?"Cora rises her eye brows."Or would you just like to stare at Mrs. Hughes and gather attention? His lordship won't mind. I might go and steal a little dance from him myself."

Charles glances at his wife before turning back to the lady in his arms.

"I would like that very much."He smiles."If you'll excuse me, milady."

He walks slowly to his wife and the lord she is dancing with, getting smiling glances from her ladyship. She encourages him with a nod.

"Milord."Carson clears his throat, making them stop dancing.

"Carson?"Robert asks.

"I was thinking if I could steal a dance with my wife?"Charles says, the lump in his throat growing bigger.

She is smiling. The lovely smile on her lips.

"I think-..."The lord starts, but the look from the the housekeeper to her husband is to tell him enough."I don't see why not. Cora, care for a small dance?"

The heads of the house dissappear from their reach.

"Would you?"Charles asks, holding his hand for her.

"With pleasure."Elsie smiles as she takes his hand.

He leads her to the dance floor, placing his hand on her waist and pulling her closer.

"You look extremely beautiful tonight."He whispers.

"Thank you. I don't think you look very bad yourself either."Elsie says."I'm not sure if I was just thinking or did indeed get very loving gazes from you the whole evening?"

"I couldn't take my eyes off you. My very beautiful wife."He slowly leans to kiss her lips.

It grows to a brief kiss, loving and warm. Between two people who each other endlessly. Charles and Elsie Carson.
