A/N - Thanks to all of you who reviewed this fic. I've had a reread of this, and I thought I might do a follow up chapter. Obviously there was a twist. Do you really think Hermione and Ron would really disown their own responsibility for their actions in the Department for Mysteries? Do you think Daphne would really turn on her lover for no reason?
Contains Dumbledore and Snape bashing.
Severus Snape walked out of the dungeon, the Sword of Gryffindor in his hands, two of his Slytherin students following him. He could feel the Polyjuice Potion wear off, but he was elated.
He had followed the Headmaster's orders to the letter, taking the Sword of Gryffindor to stab and kill Harry Potter, and he would take the reward. 'It was a great plan. Potter would die believing that his best friends would turn their back on him, and both Dumbledore and the Dark Lord would lose their one enemy.'
Walking through the dungeons, he saw Ronald Weasley in the one cell, some of his teeth missing, bound to a set of shackles. Walking past other cells, he saw Daphne Greengrass, Hermione Granger, Katie Bell, Dean Thomas, Neville Longbottom and even Luna Lovegood all held captive.
They had been missing from the Wizarding World for a variety of length of time, Dean the longest, Daphne Greengrass the shortest, and for all but Dean Thomas and Hermione Granger, there was still search parties after them, people in the Wizarding World who wanted to find them.
But what Snape didn't remember from his time in the Muggle world was that there would be a nationwide manhunt for the kidnappers of the two Muggleborns, and he certainly didn't know that he had been named as a suspect.
Suddenly there was a golden light, and Snape was blinded.
Harry Potter was laying there, a hole where the Sword of Gryffindor. He couldn't believe it. His best friends had betrayed him and then they had killed him. Breathing heavily, teetering on the edge of death, he could see the hole closing up.
It was then that Harry remembered a passage from a book that he and Hermione had found during their Fifth Year about the Founders in the Restricted Section.
"If the Heir of Gryffindor gets stabbed by the Sword of Godric Gryffindor, he will recover from any injuries sustained. His body will recover and a blinding light will surround him to heal him."
Suddenly a golden light enclosed him, originating from where the sword had been stabbed in him. As quick as the light started, it left him, leaving him able to breath properly.
'Fuck the Wizarding World. If my own friends can betray me, then the whole Wizarding World can go to hell.' he thought, his chains and shackles breaking.
Seeing the door was open, he stood up off the floor, and headed for it. Following the passageway, he saw several cells, in the middle of the passageway, a downed Severus Snape, Draco Malfoy and Theodore Nott.
Looking around, he saw a very dishevelled Ron Weasley in the first cell. His hair was half cut off, and his wrists were all red from their shackles
'What the fuck? Ron...Ron was in my cell? Yet here he is, in a cell, yet Snape is in front of me?' he thought, consideing the situation he was in. 'Unless...Snape...She loves me. Daphne still loves me!'
Harry ran towards Snape and his two students, and, spying the Sword of Gryffindor, grabbed it, and stabbed Snape, Malfoy and Nott with it, killing them.
'Daphne still loves me.'
He stole the wand poking out of Snapes pocket. Harry wanted to laugh at the fact that a grown man was wearing a Slytherin girls uniform, with Malfoy wearing a Gryffindor girls uniform, but seeing them wearing it made him worry about Daphne.
'I hope she's alright.'
Running down the passageway, he saw a singular cell. Looking in the window, he saw a weak Daphne Greengrass, tied up against the wall.
Casting a spell at the door, it exploded, blowing the door into smithereens. He headed to his girlfriend and saw that her breathing was shallow. Seeing the shackles, he stabbed at them with the Sword of Gryffindor, leaving Daphne to fall down on top of him, the sword collapsing to his side.
Seeing her sapphire blue eyes looking into his emerald green ones, he knew that she was safe, and he was too.
That's as far as I can go for the moment. I honestly don't know how much mileage that I have for this in my own mind. If anyone wants to adopt this, feel free. I don't mind - GT.
