There were many things Aldo had done in his life. Time travelling to the Elzion and Antiquity Eras and experiencing what they had to offer. Saving his own Era, the Prisma Era, from the forces of the Beast King and rescuing his sister from the ruler's clutches. Stopping the Phantom, and by extension, Chronos Menas from destroying Time and Space as a whole. And getting a crash course in future education when he stayed in IDEA Academy for a year under Amy's insistence when he got the invite just so he could get his education up to speed.
The warrior had met and befriended many people throughout the eras, who had also helped them get to where they are now in the journey to save time itself. But that had yet to compare with all the time he had spent with his core group of friends. Riica, a pink haired, civil android repurposed for combat. Cyrus, a Garulean samurai who also happened to look like a frog thanks to a curse. Amy, the first person he had met in the Elzion who also helped him get back on his feet when he got stranded there. Helena, a Synth Human leader who got around convincing her fellow Synth Humans in stopping the war between them and humans on Elzion. And lastly his sister, Feinne, wielder of the Geo Prisma implanted by their father.
Friends to the end of time, figuratively and literally, as they continue to find a way to save Eden, they journey to sparsely explored lands and through the ages in order to find the solution. However, their friendships offered little to accommodate the situation they're in now.
"Aldo, where is the exit to this place?!" "Running at sub-optimal capacity, requesting medical support." "Feinne, help Riica. Cyrus, on me!" "Got it. Helena, protect me." "You won't have to worry about that madame. Amy, incoming armour." "I appreciate the challenge but this is getting ridiculous. Where did the Riftbreaker go?"
Aldo grunted as he killed another plant monster with his attack as the fire dissipated from his blade. He and his friends were exploring some old ruins in the Antiquity Era after learning about them only to end up ambushed by a horde of monsters frenzied by the appearance of the Riftbreaker. Even their Synth Human ship ended up outnumbered as flying monsters attacked it forcing the ship to retreat as it fought stranding them until it came back.
To his side, Cyrus was expertly cutting up the undead monsters with his katana into pieces. Feinne was providing healing to Riica with her magic and disintegrated the skeletons sneaking up behind her with a burst of magic. Beside her, Helena defended his sister with flying bits of sharp metal from her body.
The sound of Amy punching the last monster in the area into a nearby abyss filled their ears as well as its dying screech. Amy had her jacket and hair slightly scorched with a number of bruises on her body that Riica and Feinne hadn't removed yet. She panted in exhaustion as she fell to one knee with her gauntlet on the ground now that there are no more monsters nearby.
"Aldo" she rasped out, the tiredness evident in her tone, "when are we getting out of here? We were fighting for hours."
"There's a bit of light at the end of that tunnel right there." Cyrus from his seated position pointed over to the hallway with dim lighting at the end of it. "Surely, we'll find a way out of this predicament."
"Don't move too much Cyrus." Feinne told the samurai as she tended to his injuries. "You may be mostly healed but you'll still feel soreness and moderate pain." she said with concern as she watched his injuries.
"It's fine Feinne." the frogman reassured his junior. "I'm 37, this is nothing compared to the training I've had on Garulea.
"Aldo" the leader of the group turned to their resident robot when she called his name. "My sensors indicate an area where the barrier of time is weak near our position."
"Yes!" he raised his sword arm and cheered. "I don't care if it leads back to the bar or somewhen else entirely. I'd rather get out of this place and banish it from my memories."
"And if we end up somewhere else? What then?" Helena asked him, fiddling with the dark matter generator within her body. It was heating up from the usage and stress it had been taking today
"We'll cross that bridge when we get there." Aldo held his fist up. "It's the final stretch until we're home free. Let's go!"
Through their leader's words, the team's resolve strengthened as they got up and followed him. Thankfully there were much fewer monsters compared to when they were ambushed and soon enough they reached the end of the area.
"Aldo," Amy spoke flatly, "it's a dead end." she stated as they looked at the bricks composing of the wall. "We walked all this way for nothing."
"Not yet. I know it's there." he said and turned to his friends. "Riica, demolish the wall!" he called out to the android.
"Of course!" Cyrus shouted in an epiphany as Riica's eyes turned red. "The room we're looking for has been sealed off. It would have confused anyone if they hadn't bothered to check." As he spoke, Riica grabbed her Terapower Hammer from her compressive storage and enlarged it to its proper size, the head being as big as her torso.
"Terminate!" she announced as she swung her weapon against the wall. Everyone heard the sound of the wall crumble with a mighty BANG. Riica set the base of her hammer on the ground looking as satisfied as a robot can be. Feinne closed the distance to the breach and poked her head through and gasped.
"The room is much bigger than every other one we passed through!" she wasn't wrong. Compared to the rest of the inane labyrinth they had to get through, the entire area behind the wall was a giant cavern in comparison. There would be enough room that half of the Miglance Castle's volume would fit.
"Why would they build such a big facility?" Helena asked the unspoken question. "What could possibly be big enough that they require an area this big?"
As they entered and explored, Cyrus gazed into the center of the room. The floor was raised to form a pyramid with a flat top that had stairs leading to it. "Aldo, it appears the wormhole we're looking for would manifest in the center of the area."
"How did you know?" the warrior asked his amphibian friend.
"Ancient builders tend to follow the same patterns in architecture. The fortress we ran through was no different to every other castle we entered."
The group made their way to the top when the ground shook. Aldo cursed under his breath as he turned to his friends. "Let's move! I'd rather not fight whatever that thing is." they all ran up and reached the top of the structure. On the flat surface at the top, Aldo grasped the hilt of his other blade, Ogre Rancorem.
"I need you to cut the streams of time open again Ogre Rancorem." the room shook once more. "Anytime now!" he raised his voice in slight panic. Power coursed through the warrior's body as the legendary blade was ripped out of its sheath and slashed the area in front of him. Space warped as a tear in Space-Time was created. Blue light sparked into existence as two wormholes opened up. They were on opposite ends of the platform with the group in the middle.
"Which one do we take?" Feinne asked worriedly. Everyone looked side-to-side thinking of which one to enter when a roar is heard from underneath them.
"We split up." Aldo answered decisively. "Cyrus, Riica, Helena, you three take the rift on the right. Me, Amy, and Feinne will take the rift on the left."
"Then we shall see each other on the other side." Helena said. "Let us hurry. We are running out of time as is." With that, the Synth Human, Android and Frogman rushed to their wormhole.
"Cmon, let's get out of here." Aldo said as he dragged Amy and his sister with him to their own wormhole. As they moved, Aldo kept glancing behind him as the others entered the rift.
"They'll be fine Aldo," Amy reassured him, "they're strong enough to take on anything that goes against them. We just have to find them again."
"I hope they'll be alright." he said as they stopped right in front of the blue rift in time. "Once more into the breach." Aldo muttered as the three of them jumped in. As they vanished, the wormhole disappeared behind them.
6:00 PM, U.A. Academy, Japan
Classes have finished for the day and the weekend started tomorrow to the joy of many. With many of the students of UA leaving for their homes, Eraserhead was patrolling around the border of the school after finishing the task of grading the homework of his class. The underground hero huffed as he rounded around the corner of the land that UA takes up. He was halfway done when he looked at his phone containing a new message.
Bass: Eraser! You done yet? Midnight ordered pizza for tonight in the lounge.
Bass: She ordered anchovies and pepperoni.
LetMeSleep: I'll be finished in 15 minutes. One more round around the campus and I'll go back inside.
LetMeSleep: Save some pizza for me. I don't care if it's cold.
Eraserhead sighed at the thought of his coworker possible pranking him through his food that he resolved on finishing his patrol quickly. He sped up his movement and soon enough he finished his patrol with five minutes to spare. He intended on going back into the lounge and asking Present Mic to give him his pizza when he spotted blue light and electricity spark a few feet above the school ground in the corner of his vision.
Eraserhead quickly activated his communicator. "Nezu, are you there? I need you to activate the security systems, we may have a perimeter breach on the west side of the Support Building."
"Lockdown will be in effect shortly Eraser," the principal of the best Hero School in the country responded, "I've sent a number of our Victory bots and an Executor to buy time since most of the other heros are away from the premises. Rest assured help is on the way."
"It better." he spoke and looked at the crackling light suddenly tear open and change into a spherical, blue wormhole to somewhere else. "Right now, they should be coming through.". Behind him, a dozen of the 1-Pointers or Victory Bots have approached behind him, eyeing the portal and waiting for the villains to appear.
Three silhouettes appeared within the light and landed on the ground in front of him. Two girls and one boy. The male had looked like an adventurer out of the fantasy genre with the pauldrons over his blue shirt, red cape, leather pants, armored boots and to complete the image, two sheathed swords, one bigger than the other by a significant margin. The white haired girl on his left wore a short purple cape connected to a white dress that doesn't even cover her sides and heeled boots. The brunette on the right had an open, red jacket that revealed a tank top that held a bust comparable to Midnight and exposed her midriff, denim shorts, armored biker boots up to her knees, and red gauntlets on her hands. Behind them, the portal closed and vanished.
Right now, they were surprised and were quickly looking around their landing zone. He didn't care for the reason why but he was going to get some answers for their blatant intrusion.
"Who are you and what business do you have on these grounds?" Eraserhead asked them as he activated his quirk, disabling what powers they have. The male intruder's eyes widened as he backed up a little while raising his hands
"Hey, hey, we don't want any trouble." he spoke up. "We didn't know where we'd end up when we entered the wormhole. Cut us some slack."
"Sure." Eraserhead rolled his eyes behind his goggles. He also gestured to the security bots behind him to not engage until he does. "I'd have half a mind to kick you out right now if I didn't have some questions. First off, how did you get here?"
"Well, we had to go through the wormhole in order to escape the hell we got stuck in." he answered. "Too many enemies so we had to run away. We entered the wormhole because we hoped it would be our ticket out."
'So they were captured or in over their heads.' the underground hero thought as he nodded to the male's answer. 'The wormhole must be some kind of quirk of super tech then. I'd better ask Naomasa about the truthfulness of their claims later. He still owes me a few favors.
"Can I ask a question sir?" the young man he was interrogating asked.
"Eh, knock yourself out." Eraserhead replied. "And make it quick, I want to get to bed early."
"OK, where on Elzion are we?"
"Elzion?" the word felt strange on his tongue. "You're all in the campus grounds of U.A. Academy, premiere national school."
"That can't be right." the brunette next to him muttered loud enough for him to hear. "IDEA Academy is the premiere national school."
"There is no school at the top of my head named IDEA Academy in Japan." At his statement, the intruders looked at each other unsurely.
"Hey," the brunette called out, "What year is it?"
"Year?" Confusion was now evident in Shouta's voice. "It's 2XXX. How do you not know?"
"Because sir," the younger girl's voice rang in his ears, "I don't think we're in the right time and dimension."
Shouta Aizawa, also known as Eraserhead, stared at her after hearing her statement. Somehow he could hear Nezu laughing despite turning off the communicator. He was not getting paid enough for this and he wanted his sleep and pizza.
Seeing as readers will be more familiar with MHA than Another Eden, I've decided to start on their side of the crossover to introduce them. Seriously, there's only two fics on the AE category. Speaking of, I suggest downloading the game. It's mobile, free, the gacha isn't too important and it's made by the same people who made Chrono Trigger. Story is great, all things considered so go get it while we have all the free time in the world.
