Hello there!
If you are reading this, I am pleased to announce that I have come up with an idea. Do you love Star Wars: The Clone Wars? Do you love the 2003 Clone Wars micro series? Do you wish you could see Labyrinth of Evil adapted onto the larger screen? Do you think Revenge of the Sith had a lot of potential that wasn't fully realized? Do you praise the Revenge of the Sith novel by Matthew Stover as one of the greatest stories of the Star Wars Expanded Universe? Do you have fond memories of the Revenge of the Sith video game? Well I propose an idea? What if we could integrate it all together!
That's right, what I will be trying to do is rewrite and restructure it all together to create what I like to affectionately call "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Final Remix!" In this project, I hope to link all of the elements found from all of those portrayals of these crucial moments from the Clone Wars and create a new and finalized version.
Keep in mind, I want to have this story start where The Mandalore Arc of Clone Wars Season 7 begins but I also want to put lots of focus onto the climax of Labyrinth of Evil. The canon of The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith takes priority over everything else but there will be some changes along the way. If you believe I did not do this story justice, you are welcome to rewrite it yourself. This is all my interpretation. Also keep in mind that while Ahsoka's story could be set alongside Labyrinth of Evil, I don't want to do that just yet. She'll be introduced, fear not, and if people want me to adapt the Martez Sisters into this narrative I can do so, but I would prefer to run this story at my own pace and don't want this already muddled narrative to get even more muddled.
Now you might be wondering, how could this work? Labyrinth of Evil and the Clone Wars directly contradict one another! Well I came up with a solution. Instead of having Labyrinth of Evil focus on Obi Wan and Anakin, let's focus on two new Jedi. Who might they be? Plo Koon and Quinlan Vos. Hear me out.
1.) Plo Koon fights on Cato Nemoidia and dies there. Why? Maybe because he was integral to a mission on said planet. To recover a lost chair, perhaps?
2.) Plo Koon and Quinlan Vos are great foils to both Obi Wan and Anakin as well as characters who could be tied to Ahsoka Tano, mostly Plo Koon.
3.) Quinlan Vos would have to prove himself as a Jedi after the Dark Disciple arc. Who better to watch over him than Plo Koon who would have mixed thoughts about working with a redeemed Jedi and who would wonder if Ahsoka could do the same.
4.) Narrative wise, little changes. Conversations between Obi Wan and Anakin can be reworked a bit to be those of Vos and Koon. This allows Anakin and Obi Wan to do work elsewhere in the galaxy.
5.) Dave Filoni likes Plo Koon and says that he is his favorite Jedi, so I felt compelled to give him important stuff to do as a tribute.
My goal is to provide the novelization of Revenge of the Sith and Labyrinth of Evil through a "Canon Clone Wars" filter, adapt elements of the micro series and the Clone Wars TV show into novelized format and provide a complete narrative to this story that feels climactic and satisfying. Since I will be taking excerpts and story beats from the works I described above, please understand. This is not meant to replace the originals. Think of this more as a companion piece for you all to enjoy, especially if you wanted to see these stories intertwined together, something that Disney hasn't attempted to do quite to this degree, at least when it comes to previously published legends material.
Keep in mind. These works do not belong to me. I respectfully recognize that all the properties involved belong to others. This is a non-profit fan made tribute! Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith the Video Game, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith the Novelization and Labyrinth of Evil are all owned by Disney and as well as the creators George Lucas, Dave Filoni, Genndy Tartakovsky, Matthew Stover and James Luceno! Please support the official release.
With that said. Here we go. It's going to be a wild ride. May the Force be with you, always.
