Chapter 2

Slowking never would expect Melody would tell him that she needs his help. "And what is it that you need my help with?" He asks her. Melody sits on the ledge that's looking towards the sea. "I was waking up this morning and then all of a sudden a voice has been calling out to me." She said to him. Slowking comes to her side. "It would seem that someone believes that you could be the only one who knows this person." He comments to her.

Melody looks up to him. "If so, I would've recognized who's voice it was." She said to him. "Maybe the shrine might have the answer." Slowking suggests to her. Without wasting another second, Melody walks up to the little shrine. This was the same one that Ash collected the ancient spheres from Fire Island, Ice Island, and Lightning Island. She looks inside to see all three are in their places. Each one glowing due to the type of the legendary birds of Moltres, Arcticuno and Zapdos. She knows the legend by heart. "Melody…" The voice speaks again. She backs away in surprise. "Is something wrong, Melody?" Slowking asks her as he saw her back away quickly. "I heard the voice again." She responds to him.

"Why not play the Guardian's Song. Maybe it can help." He gives an idea. Even though the stone pillars are not glowing like last time, Melody nods as she pulls out the ocarina out of its pouch and begins to play the music. As soon she starts to play, the shrine's floor begins to glow instead. Slowking looks down to see what the floor is showing. The floor begins to glow a language. He looks closer to see if he can decipher it. When Melody finished the song, the floor remains glowing. She looks down to see that the floor is showing something. "What's that?" She asks Slowking as she comes down towards him. "Look." Slowking only spoke. Melody looks closer and widens her eyes. "I know this language." She claims to him. Slowking is surprised. "He managed to ask her. Melody nods. "Yeah. I think I can translate it as well." She smiles as she figures out what the symbols are saying to them. "What does it say?" Slowking asks her.

Melody narrows her blues eyes. "It says. 'Even though the world has recovered from the disturbed harmony, more is to come from far away. Even with their own legends are to be believed, it must not be the same way that it to disturbed as well.'." Melody translate the one wedge of the floor. Slowking hums while stroking his chin. "It must be connected to the other regions' legends." He tells her. "Other regions?" Melody asks him. Before Slowking could answer her, a huge waterspout comes out the sea's surface. That made Melody and Slowking to look at it. At the top, the spout expands and out comes Lugia. "I can answer that question for you." It spoke to them.

Melody smiles to see the Great Guardian again. "So what's the answer?" Melody asks it curiously. Lugia lands gracefully onto the cliff and lowers itself to their level. "There are other legends from the world. Ours is just a local one." It speaks to her so far. "Like what?" Melody keeps on smiling. Lugia cries as its eyes glows to give Melody and Slowking something to see. The first one Lugia takes them two is to see a world that she never seen before. "Where are we?" She asks first. "We're in the Hoenn Region." Lugia speaks so far. That's when Melody notices that she and Slowking are on Lugia's back. "So what kind of legend does the Hoenn Region has?"

Before Lugia could answer the seas surface is going crazy. Not just that, the skies on one side is cleared with no clouds, while the other side has thunderclouds above the land. "This legend talks about the two ancient Pokémon Groundon and Kyogre." Lugia speaks first. "And why are they so important for the Hoenn Region?" Slowking asks Lugia. "I'm not the only the only legendary Pokémon that lives in the sea. I happen to know Kyogre quite well." Lugia answers casually. Melody and Slowking observe the two sides. "According to Kyogre, the Hoenn is meant to be in equal sides of both sea and land. Never Kyogre or Groundon would surrender until one side beats the other. "Oh that's terrible." Melody gasps in shock. "Rest assured, there's a third legendary Pokémon that has the same purpose that I have." It turns its head to speak. "Look up in the sky." It speaks to them a few seconds later. The riders look up to see a light shining down onto the two legendaries. Within the light a much bigger legendary Pokémon flies down. "That's Rayquaza." Lugia tells her. "And watch what it does." He spoke again.

Melody and Slowking witness something they never expected. Rayquaza flies over above the two. Kyogre and Groundon look to it and stare at it. Rayquaza's one roar was more than enough to force the two to return to where are they came from. Seeing Kyogre dive back into the ocean's depths while Groundon goes back into the volcano. "Wow, with just one cry, Rayquaza was able to be able to quell those two like it was nothing." Melody comments Rayquaza's power. Soon enough the vision vanishes as they as back on the cliff where they were. "I was shocked myself when I found out that another Legendary who has to do that has me run for my money." Lugia said as Melody and Slowking jump on its back.

"But you had to deal with three birds here, Rayquaza had to do two. So, you have the bigger task than Rayquaza." Melody points out to it. Slowking nods in agreement. "Anyway, could you help me deciphering this?" Melody asks the Great Guardian. Lugia looks to see that Melody is looking at the floor with the language. "Ah. That happens to be my original song." It tells her.

Ok readers, apparently there was a review emailed to me by a guest, so I cannot reply back to it. For that guest who review should not judge someone else's story by its title. First of all, Ash is not going to be in this story. Second, this is my first Pokemon story so it's going to take me awhile to type a chapter a bit longer than the previous one. So whoever that guest is, take my word.
