Hey guys! It is I, the phoenix, back with a story that literally came out of left field.

For some reason, I just wome up in the middle of the night with my brain charged with this idea, and then I spent two hours writing and completed this.

A Worm and Infinite Dendrogram Crossover.

I know Worm: Justice For All is a thing and I quite enjoyed it, but this is a slightly diferent take that still contains many of its elements. For one, I made the Gamer power more closer to the Light Novel than that one, and of course, the Path Taylor will take in terms of Build is different too. Also, this Taylor is more like a grey character who goes towards the light, which you'll understand a bit more when you read the chapter.

I'll be honest, I don't know what to say, since I honestly didn't plan for this story to be a thing. I was working on new Embryos for the Hero Complex rewrite, and then this happened. I'm also working on the new chaoter, which should be out within the week for Hero Complex, BTW.

This story could just remain as a One-Shot, or I can actually write it. It honestly depends on how well-received it is by you guys. I just randomly came up with this, so I don't really know what to do with it. If you feel I should give this a shot, then just leave a Review or PM me saying so, and I'll work something out for this.

That's all I want to say. I quite enjoyed Worm, finding it much better than cheesier superhero stories and having many unique twists, both to the MC, Taylor, who struggles on the fine line between Heroism and Villainy, and the World itself as a whole.

I wonder how Taylor will do with a brand new set of powers. Also, her Embryo may come as a surprise to many of you who know the different Types, but that will be explained in the chapter itself.

And BTW, the Embryo and her powers are NOT from the Shards.

Thank you, and let's get on with the story.

Player 1.1

{Unknown Location}

Taylor Hebert woke up with an audible gasp.

Her heart was pounding, and she blearily looked around, trying to figure out what was going on.

Where was she?

What was going on?

The last thing she remembered was going to her room and falling asleep for the night, once more worn out due to another excruciating day at school.

Taylor pushed away the overwhelming feeling of bitterness and despair that came over her when she thought about Winslow High, and the people there, who all worked together like cogs in a machine to make her life hell.

Seriously, how was any of what she went through in her life fair?!

She'd literally just gotten out of the hospital when they had nearly killed her during the Locker Incident a little over a week ago, and yet, somehow, they were still doing the same damn thing to her.

They got off Scot free, just like they always did, while she had to suffer, day in and day out.

Those three monsters were the reason for it all. For some reason she couldn't understand, they controlled Winslow, and thus, they could get away with doing anything they wanted to her.

The students were easy to understand; Winslow wasn't a place known for being high-end like Arcadia.

It was literally a public gang hideout for all the various organizations that made up the beautiful cesspool called Brockton Bay; the ABB, the Empire 88, and the Merchants, and all of them were bad news.

Someone like Sophia, the star of the track team, Madison, the leech who could easily connect with and around people, and... Emma, one of the prettiest girls in school, could easily control a place like Winslow, the students, anyways.

But the administration?

What kind of hold could those three possibly have over Winslow that they could get away with attempted murder?

Well, in the long run, none of that mattered anyways.

She'd hold in her anger, and her rage at the unfairness of it all, biding time and hoping she would never have to see them again when she moved on to college.

That was if she could even get into college to begin with.

Her grades were dropping, both directly and indirectly due to the Trio, and it was coming to a point where Taylor didn't know if she even had a future.

Sure, she could stay at home and write her GED, but how long did she have until she snapped?

The loss of her mother had been a blow, but Taylor would have been able to easily bear it if that was all she had to deal with.

Instead, she had to deal with a distant father, an ex-best friend who had turned on her and was actively dedicated to making her suffer, along with her two new besties, and a World so rotten they could just get away with it.

She didn't blame her father. Not one bit. She knew he would drop everything to help her if she told him.

But that was the problem, wasn't it?

It didn't matter if he dropped everything. The way this awful World ran, there was nothing he could do.

The Locker Incident had proven that to her.

Somehow, there were no witnesses, the security cameras somehow didn't pick anything up, and no one even questioned the fact that she had nearly died in a manner that even death row inmates got better than.

No Heroes would even look twice. After all, they were focused on beating up Villains, not looking into High School Bullying.

She didn't blame them for that; with people like Kaiser and Lung around, the PRT, the Protectorate, the Wards and New Wave had their their hands full. They didn't have the time for 'small' things like this.

But that didn't change the end result of it all.

Just as she always had been, she was alone and powerless, in a World where power, either physical or material, was everything.

It was incredibly frustrating, but what could she do? Once again, she had no powers. And that meant, she couldn't help herself.

And nobody could help her.

"You seem to be very troubllllled." said a voice from directly in front of her.

With a jolt, Taylor looked straight ahead, and saw that she had somehow been transported to what looked like an old English Study.

It even had the smell of fresh wood and paper, which was crazy, because she was pretty sure she was dreaming.

After all, there was no way that the oddly dressed cat in front of her was the speaker.

"Greeeeetings." said the cat, causing Taylor to blanch.

"Um... hello?" said Taylor awkwardly, squirming, as she didn't know the proper etiquette regarding talking cats.

She sighed.

"I'm totally dreaming, aren't I?" she said to herself, rubbing her temples.

Even her dreams were apparently being affected by those three, even when she was out of their clutches.

"Incorrreeeeect." said the cat, waving a paw. "Your physical body may be asleep, but that does not mean you are dreaming. Everything going on now is completely real. The truth will make itself known soon enough. My name is Cheshire, Control A.I. Number 13, in charge of greeting new Players like yourself, although I must admit you are a special case, Taylor Hebert."

Okay, what?

'Control AI? That's impossible. With all the stigma against AI, there's no way even the boldest of Tinkers would make one, let alone thirteen. And what does it mean by Player? Was she being Mastered or something? Because that seems like the only plausible explanation.'

Seeing no harm, she voiced her thoughts out loud. After all, despite what the cat said she was convinced this was all some kind of freaky dream. Or she was being Mastered.

At this point, she didn't really care which of the two it was.

"Maybe, but we aren't talking about Earth right noooow." said Cheshire, his drawling speech somewhat soothing. "We are talking about The System."

"The... System?" asked Taylor, not understanding what the cat AI was trying to tell her.

"Yeeees. That is what I mean when I say you are a special case, Taylor Hebert. Normally, we invite Players to join The System. But this time, The System itself has chosen you, making you the only Master on Earth Bet. I suppose, in your terms, although the origin is much different than the standard procedure the denizens of your World have for gaining power, The System is your Parahuman Ability."

"What!" said Taylor, shocked. "What are you talking about?"

What did it mean 'The System' was her power?

"To find the answers you seek, Taylor, you must become stronger. You already know the value of streeeength. Before, you were ordinary. You did not possess the potential The System grants to humans. But now, you doooooo. The System decided to choose you when you cried for help in that locker, and your fate was forever intertwined with iiiiit."

So... the Locker Incident acted like some kind of Trigger Event?

Taylor didn't understand all of what Cheshire was saying, but there was one thing that she did understand, if this wasn't all just a fever dream.

She was a Parahuman now.

She... didn't know how to feel about that.

"Now, would you like to create your Avataaaaar?" asked Chesire, throwing her for a loop, before it snapped its fingers.

After Cheshire said this, a featureless mannequin and a bunch of window screens appeared before Taylor. These screens contained words such as "height", "weight", "bust", their corresponding sliders, as well as facial features.

She stared at it in shock for a few minutes.

Slowly, things were beginning to come together a little bit.

Was her power... some kind of video game ability?

Suddenly, the terminology Cheshire had been using began to make a little more sense, and with how Cheshire had introduced itself as a Control AI, it stood to reason that this was all... some sort of character creation process.

Yeah, it was official.

She'd been driven insane and was now frolicking in the World that only the delusional could inhabit.

But why video games of all things? She'd played a couple in her younger days, but they weren't something she regularly thought about or was addicted to.

There was no way that this was all anything more than a dream.

But still...

A less rational part of Taylor wanted to believe that this was real.

So she bit the bullet.

It wasn't as if there was any negative effect of going through with this.

If she really was being Mastered somehow, then she wouldn't get in any trouble for whatever the Villain controlling her made her do.

As the famous saying went: YOLO.

"Um... is it okay if I make a couple modifications to what I already look like?" asked Taylor.

"Suuuure." said Chesire, and the mannequin twisted to form an exact replica of her body.

Okay, now this part was what she whole-heartedly wished was real out of all this.

She was more than a little self-conscious about her looks, having inherited almost nothing from her beautiful mother except for her hair. She had no bust, not even a hint of curves, and and a downright awkward looking face.

It was time to change that.

Now, she knew not to go overboard or do something ridiculous.

It wouldn't do her any good if she couldn't recognize herself, and if this was all real, then it would raise a lot of questions from those who knew her.

But... hey, this was all a dream, right?

Surely she could go a little over the top.

Just a little.

Totally.

With a small smile on her face, Talor got to work.

The first thing she did was make friends with the slider coding the Avatar's bust.

Then, she made a small adjustment, going from an A-Cup to D, which was about the point she couldn't increase it past without looking bloated anddownright impractical.

Yep, a small adjustment. Very small.

'Take that, Emma.'

She moved around the other sliders, causing her height and musculature to undergo some small shifts in order to accentuate and support her new frame.

Satisfied with her hips, Talylor blushed silently at how far she was going with this.

It was kind of awkward, but hey, this was (most likely) a dream.

No one could judge her for wanting to see herself look beautiful, just once.

Next was her skin. She didn't want to be one of those supermodels that gave off an unearthly glow, but she wanted to at least have healthy skin.

That wasn't a crime, right?

She made a few more adjustments, and made sure to select baggy clothes for her avatar that would still hide her figure, because once again, suddenly becoming hot overnight wasn't something that happened naturally, and would raise a lot of attention.

Besides, her dad probably never noticed the state of her body anyway, considering she wore clothes baggy enough to fit two of her inside.

But after another minute, she just stared at herself, eyes wide.

She tentatively reached out towards her Avatar.

Was that really her?

She hadn't even changed all that much beyond her bust size and the contours of her hips.

Yet, the girl with her face actually looked good.

More than good, actually.

It was kind of a revelation for her.

"I-I'll go with this one." said Taylor, blushing when she realized that Cheshire had been watching her aggressively creating her Avatar.

She couldn't really make out what kind of expression the supposed Control AI had, but it was still pretty embarrassing.

"Is that the Avatar you choooose?" he drawled.

"Y-yeah."

"Okaaay. Then I'll hand over your starting itemmms." Cheshire waved a padded paw in the air and a bag fell from empty space. "This is your storage bag, also known as your inventoryyy. The storage space inside it is from a different dimensionnn. You can store items in here if they're yours, but on the flip side, you can't put any items in here that arrren't."

"That's incredible!" said Taylor, looking at the bag with wide eyes. As far as she knew, even Tinker Tech couldn't do something like this!

"This bag is for beginners, but there are also other types, such as ones that are tougher, small ones, and ones with a lot of capacityyy." the cat said.

"What is the capacity of this one?" Taylor asked.

"The size is about equal to one classroom, and the weight is maybe around one ton in Earth measuremeeents."

"T-that's crazy." said Taylor, but she looked at the small item as if it were her new best friend. She'd like to see Emma and the Trio steal her stuff now.

"It's apparently not enough if you're a merchant, thooough", said the cat. "They're likely to buy new onnnes. Oh, item bags will scatter their contents around if they get destroyed, so pay attention to their durabilityyy."

"I'll be careful." Taylor promised. But where could she even get new ones? If her powers were themed around some kind of game, then it meant that there was probably a shop, but she had no idea where.

"Next is a set of beginner equipmeeent. Taylor, what will you piiick?" Cheshire pulled a catalog from a bookshelf and showed it to her.

In it were full sets of various types of armor. There was the typical Eastern and Western style armor, but in addition to these, there were traditional outfits from China, India, the Middle East, and South America. On the opposite end, there were even outfits that seemed to be from Sci-Fi movies.

"I'll just keep the ones I have on now." said Taylor. None of the clothes looked like they'd be of any worth as a Hero Costume, because they were all just starter equipment, and were too abnormal to wear casually.

"Okaaay. What will you pick for your first weaponnn?" the cat asked.

Taylor turned to a different page in the catalog. All kinds of weapons were listed, including a wooden sword, a practice sword with a dull blade, a knife, a bow, a sling, and a staff.

"I'll go with the knife." Taylor said.

She'd wanted to go for the sword, but the blades were either wooden or dull, and that wouldn't do her a lot of good against the Capes in Brockton Bay.

Helł, even the knife was basically negligible, but she still decided that it was better than nothing or weapons she had no idea how to use.

"Okaaay. So for your weapon and equipment... Wazaaaam." It was pretty hard to tell if Cheshire's voice was energetic or not, but as he said that, Taylor's appearance changed. Her outfit had changed to the one she had selected, and her body changed to match her Avatar.

She took a few seconds to regain her center of balance from all the new mass she had put on, but once she did she felt amazing, looking in the mirror Cheshire had provided.

She didn't look anything like the awkward nerd she was before, but at the same time, she could still be recognized as Taylor Hebert.

"This is... amazing." she whispered.

"Oh yeah, that's right, here's your starting moneyyy." Cheshire said, handing her 500 dollars.

She gaped at the cash in her hand.

"No need to worrrry." said Cheshire. "As far as the people are concerned, that cash is one hundred percent legit and legally eaaaarned."

Well, she could use some of this.

Best. Dream. Ever.

She could honestly feel the stress of her daily life melting away.

"I suppose it's time to introduce you to your Embryooooo." said Cheshire, looking pretty excited.

Wait, what was the cat talking about?

What Embryo?

"Do not misunderstaaaand." said Cheshire, seeing her expression. "An Embryo is probably the most unique aspect of The Systeeeem."

"All players receive an Embryo at the starrrt. The only time they'll look the same is while they are in this zeroth fooorm. With the first form and beyond, they'll change in completely different ways based on their ownerrr."

"Holy sh*t." said Taylor. With the kind of buildup Cheshire was giving, it implied that all she had received until now was just standard stuff, and that this 'Embryo' was her true power.

"Although the possibilities are infinite, there are some rough categorieees." added the cat.

"I see." said Taylor, crossing her arms over her now prominent bust, deep in thought. "It's kind of like the different Classes of Parahumans..."

"The broad categories arrre: Type Arms — a device type that players can equip as a weapon or armorrr. Type Guardian — a monster type that protects the playerrr. Type Chariot — a vehicle type that players can riiide. Type Castle — a building type that players can reside innn. Type Territory — a barrier type that players can deployyy. That's about ittt."

"That's so diverse!" gasped Taylor.

'This power is already at least a Trump 8 if it's what I think it is, but I can also get an additional power that can actively grow?!'

She was starting to get a little excited, though she kept trying to prevent her own feelings by repeatedly telling herself this was all just her imagination.

"Also, besides these ones, there are rare and advanced categories that an Embryo can evolve into, tooo. There are even categories that are unique to one Embryooo."

"I wonder what I'll get..." wondered Taylor aloud, only to receive a small laugh from Cheshire.

"Your Embryo has already reached its First Forrrrm." said Cheshire. "It has been studying you since you first awakened The System. It's maturation is why we were able to meeeet. Just take a look at the Crest on your left haaand."

Confused, Taylor looked down at what she had assumed to be a scar she had received from the Locker Incident, which now had matured into a glowing purplish-black sigil Resembling a sword.

Suddenly, there was a bright flash of violet light, and a figure materialized in front of her.

The first thing she realized about her Embryo was that he was taller than her, a robust man fully clad in pitch-black armor and a rustic helmet with a thinly carved slit displaying the ghastly red glow of what seemed to be his eyes. The armor was the work of the delicate and nuanced workmanship of its smith's utmost effort, succeeding in granting it an air of formidability and a fine construction. It was a perfect armor that could be called neither exquisite nor crude, and it instead perfectly melded magnificence and functionality.

In short, he looked like a Dark Knight straight out of the Fairy Tales.

His helmet dissolved in a flash of dark light, revealing a stunningly handsome man who seemed around her father's age, with purple eyes and hair which was incredibly spiky and parted to the left.

Despite his appearance, the aura he gave off was similar to her father, and seemed to confer protection.

"I apologize from not making myself known earlier to you, My Lady." said the Embryo, falling to a knee in deference before her.

"Born from your Heart, Mind and Soul, I am Lancelot, Knight of the Lake, a Type Apostle with Arms Embryo. Till the day we disappear from this reality, I will be in your service, my Master.

Taylor just gaped.

First of all, not only was her Embryo an actual person, but was also one of the most famous Knights to ever exist?!

Plus, it was also kind of cool how he swore loyalty like that to her, really flattering stuff, but it didn't stop her from freaking out.

And what was a Type Apostle?!

"A Type Apoostle." said Cheshire, looking over the Embryo. "Very rare indeed. An extra Type that takes the form of a human male, and embodies duty and domination. Masters with this kind of Embryo are those who hold a lot of hatred towards the World."

Taylor's mouth went dry.

That was...

Horrifyingly accurate.

There were times that she had indeed hated the World, especially after the Locker Incident, but... did that mean she was...

"Do not fret or assume the worst, Master." said Lancelot, who had remained kneeling. "While I manifested as a Type Apostle due to hatred, my specific form and Hybrid Category are both due to the goodness in your heart. It is true, you possess much hatred in your heart due to how many times you have been unjustly wronged, but even so, you do not let it consume you. Instead of revenge, Justice is what you truly desire. Though you hate the World, you do not hate its inhabitants, and want to help people who are suffering. That is why I have manifested as a glorious knight, who, even when stained black by sin, still tried to help his King and uphold what was left of his code of justice and honor to the very end. You are someone who would make tough decisions that may see you vilified or hated in order to protect people. You are a person who can't sit on the sidelines and tolerate injustice. You possess an iron will and keen bravery. These qualities are what have led me to manifest as a Type Arms Embryo. My Lady, having hatred is not what makes one evil; succumbing to it is what makes all the difference. With this power at your fingertips, would you harm or humiliate the cretins that have wronged you so?"

"N-no." said Taylor, overwhelmed by his speech.

Even if she had power, she would never use it for something as petty as that, no matter how satisfying it may have been, and no matter how much a small part of her screamed and yearned for it.

If she took revenge, no matter how small, not only would that make her worse than the Trio, since they didn't have any powers, but that would lead her down a road that she could never come back from.

Lancelot nodded, satisfied.

"That is what I mean. You may hate, but you are ultimately someone who only wants Justice, and someone who is capable of love. Manifesting a Type Apostle like myself doesn't make you evil." said Lancelot with a small smile. "It's just part of being human."

"T-thanks." said Taylor, swallowing thickly.

It was weird, but that was probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about her in recent memory.

'Don't let your hate control you, Taylor.'

It sounded like something out of a fairy tale, but it made sense, didn't it?

"They way I've manifested also is modeled after your conviction and belief." said Lancelot. "Though my armor is downright malevolent and corrupted by my own hatred, my face and mind are still intact and untouched. If you were someone who just hated everything indiscriminately and let that hatred consume you, then I would have manifested in a similar manner, looking like a madman. Though coated in a shell of hatred, our hearts and minds remain untouched."

"He is coreeeect." said Cheshire. "An emotion or a belief felt at some time isn't what decides your fate. Like all sentient species, you have the capacity to grooooow. Who knooows? Maybe, Lancelot's armor will return to its original glory if you conquer your hatred? The possibilities are infinite. Nothing is set in stone."

Taylor inscribed those words into her memory. She wasn't much for wisdom, but she would be a fool to not take any when it was freely being offered to her.

"Now, please raise your finger into the air and swipe down while concentrating to open your Menuuu."

Far past the point of questioning Cheshire anymore, Taylor did as she was told, and to her surprise, just as she had expected, a Menu not unlike one you would see Ina video game showed up, with her Status on one side and a bunch of Menu options on the other.

Well, it was just as barren as she'd expected a beginner player's Stats to be.

And it surprised her that there weren't Stats for Intelligence and Wisdom, but actually made her powers seem more realistic.

After all, how could you judge an increase in one's intellect and wisdom?

However, there was one thing that stood out here.

Her powers ran on a Job System too?

This was becoming more and more incredible. If what she could tell from all this was correct, then she basically had the power to become the next Eidolon.

If this was actually her power, then it was confirmed a Trump 10, with a possibility to let her gain ranks in all the other categories as well.

"Without a Job, you cannot increase in Levellll." drawled Cheshire, snapping its fingers and causing a new Menu to appear before her, with a bunch of options listed on it. "So pick one from this liiiist."

Taylor's mouth went agape when she saw the sheer amount of options she had.

W-where did she even begin?

"Of course, the Production Jobs with the exception of Pilot and the Non-Combat Jobs have been removed since this is your first Job. Additionally, Low-Rank Jobs whose Unlock Conditions you have not cleared are not available to yooooou."

There was more?!

Fighting her own incredulity, Taylor scanned through the list, trying to find the Job that she wanted to take.

Finally, she made a much smaller list after a couple minutes of deliberation.

'So it's between Gladiator, Knight, Scout, Daoshi, and Socerer.'

She really wanted a magic-based Job like Daoshi, which was the oriental variety and focused on Talismans, and was much easier to explain than saying she was using magic.

Unfortunately, there was a stigma about Parahumans and Magic, mostly due to those who claimed their powers were magic, but Taylor couldn't help but want it.

Scout was apparently a useful Job with lots of utility Skills such as those that allowed her to sense killing intent, which was amazing for a Hero.

However, one thing made her narrow the list even further and leave only two options; Lancelot.

Lancelot, according to himself and the Menu, was a Type Arms.

This meant he would give her some kind of weapon, which was why magic Jobs were out, as they wouldn't mesh well with her Embryo at the moment. She could go for it after getting a better grip on her powers.

She still didn't understand the full nuances of how The System, as her power was apparently called, worked.

As such it probably wasn't a good idea to go for something as complex as magic quite yet.

Plus, Lancelot was a knight, both in legend and appearance, so she didn't want to really go against that theme.

"You don't have to worry about me, Master. I'll support you in any way I can."

Oh right, he could read her mind and vice versa.

Now that was one of the only things she didn't like about her new power, as while she could understand the utility of being able to telepathically communicate with her Embryo, the Simurgh has kind of soured things for everyone when it came to mind manipulation abilities of any kind outside of telekinesis.

Villains like Heartbreaker didn't make things any easier in that regards, to be honest.

Taylor bit her lip as she looked at the last three Jobs she wanted to take.

In all honestly, it was mostly between Knight and Gladiator, because a look at her Stats revealed that she was basically flat out broke in the physical department, so she wanted to take a Job that gave her a bit of a Brute Rating.

The Knight Job had Skills for Combat and Riding, according to the description, while the Gladiator Job had Skills that allowed one to use any kind of weapon and expanded the amount of Accessory Slots and Weapon Slots she had.

"What do you think?" she asked, turning to Lancelot.

"If I were to choose, Master, I would choose the Gladiator Job. The reason is that it grants the highest Status Growth, and while I don't know what Skills I will gain in the future, I believe that being able to use any kind of and any number of Weapons will come in handy."

Well, come to think of it, Lancelot in the legends was famous for basically being a Master of every weapon, so that wasn't very surprising.

That was fine with her. Besides, she didn't have anything to Ride right now anyways, so she could wait in order to get that one.

She tapped out and selected the corresponding option, and her Main Job became Gladiator.

"Low-Rank Jobs have a Level Cap of 60. You can get six of theeeeem. High-Rank Jobs cannot be Leveled Up past 100, and only two can be taken. There are certain conditions required to Unlock High-Rank Joooobs. Superior Jobs are the greatest and have no limits, but have incredibly tough Unlock Conditions and usually have a Quest that needs to be completed as weeeell. You can get any number of Superior Jobs. You will receive a Notification when you have cleared the Unlock Conditions for a Jooob." said Cheshire pleasantly.

"That concludes your Tutorial. If you need any help, just check the Help Menu. A list of Available Jobs can also be selected from the Menu, but as a result you must gain at least half of the Maximum Level of a Job in order to get another one, with the exception being Superior Jobs. That is aaaaall."

Wow.

Just wow.

There was just so much information rushing through her head right now that Taylor couldn't think properly.

But still, she had the presence of mind to pay attention to Cheshire's last words to her, as the room began to fade around her.

"The main facets of your power, Taylor, are freedom, choice and possibility, more so than anything else." said the cat-like AI, it's speech becoming more intense as if narrating something.

"You can become a Hero or the worst of Villains, a queen or a slave, a good person or an evil person. You can do something, or you can do nothing. All these things are in your hands. Now go forth, Taylor Hebert, and create your own unique possibility."

{Hebert Residence, Brockton Bay}

Taylor's eyes snapped open.

Without waiting a single moment, she practically shoved herself out of bed, and stood in front of her mirror.

Her Avatar stared right back at her, the Crest on her left hand glowing purple.

"No way..." she said, excitement starting to build up inside her. "It was... real? I... have powers now?"

As if to prove her point, her Crest exploded in a flash of violet as Lancelot manifested in front of her, still in his kneeling position.

"Good morning, My Lady." he greeted, his head bowed, before he looked back at her with expectation in his eyes. "What is it you wish to do, Master?"

Taylor smiled at him. Truly and genuinely smiled, for the first time since her mother's death.

She looked at her own altered, upgraded form in the mirror once more.

The Taylor Hebert who had fallen asleep that day in bed, physically, emotionally and mentally drained was a powerless girl who had neither beauty, peace, nor possibility.

The one who now stood in front of the mirror was in a sense, the complete opposite.

She had power. She had beauty.

But most importantly, her future was now brimming with possibilities.

And now, it was up to her to reach out and grab them with her own two hands.

"Lancelot, I'm going to become a Hero."

This wasn't the story of Taylor Hebert, the unfortunate awkward girl who spent her life being pushed around.

This was the story of a new Taylor who could and would do things that the old one could never have dreamed of.

The story of a Taylor who would become the greatest goddamned Hero the World would ever know.

And that's all, folks!

Did you like the story? My first one with a female MC lead, to be honest, even if it isn't a confirmed story yet.

Unlike Justice For All, I also included the character creation process so that Taylor could look as pretty as she deserves to. No A-Cup Angst here, thank you very much!

Plus, I actually needed her proportions to match Sakura's so I could work out her Embryo powers and the way it works on her appearance.

Please don't kill me.

Anyways, her Embryo is my first ever Type Apostle, because I feel like Taylor is someone who is totally different from people like Shirou Emiya and Izuku Midoriya. She feels a lot of anger, something I noticed in the story, which is all justified, but still tried to do the right thing as much as she can, so I took this unique direction with her Embryo, Lancelot.

If you guys want to know more about his powers, then I'll write them in the next chapter if you guys want me to actually turn this random idea into a story.

Also, she's taking the Gladiator Route, because of one of Lancelot's Future Skills, but I don't mind hearing any suggestions you may have. Personally, I was thinking of making her a Fallen Knight or a Celestial Knight, but idk.

Once again, I didn't plan for this at all.

Anyways, if you guys want me to actually turn this into a story, then just tell me, because for now, its just something I wrote randomly before I could stop.

That's all for now, so stay safe and stay tuned for the new Hero Complex, which should come out within the week.

Spatialphoenix here, burning to ashes.
