"So what the hell happened?" Videl asked after Barry left their house that morning, putting her hands on her hips. "How did yet another girl manage to kiss you again?"

Gohan started stuttering, trying to come up with a somewhat acceptable excuse. His wife had always made a point not to contradict or shame him in front of others, but he knew he wasn't going to get away with this incident this easily.

The truth was girls were his biggest weakness. He just couldn't say no to them, and he could barely react when he realized they were hitting on him. That was the reason he was with Videl in the first place! The same tactic she used when they were teenagers just several years earlier was now working against her!

"I-I'm really sorry . . ." he finally managed to say, his tone a mix of fear and regrets. He was going to say he would never let that happen again, but he already made that promise a couple times before, and both promises had ended up broken. If he'd made a third or a fourth promise, that one would've been broken too.

She huffed. "The first time it happened, I let it go because I'd kissed a lot of boys before we met and it seemed fair to let you have at it with a girl other than me. But at some point you have to get better at dodging. We're married now. I can't keep sharing you with other girls."

"I-I really don't get why so many girls are interested in me." He crossed his arms and frowned, genuinely troubled. "According to my calculations, a combination of knitted sweaters and yellow-framed glasses surely would've been a natural women repellent."

"Maybe so," Videl agreed, "but still your personality is part of the equation. You're like a puppy we all want to take home, and the more you don't realize it the truer it is."

He wasn't sure what to do with that observation, but he sensed that she was losing her patience on the subject. "How can I make it up to you?" he pleaded.

She sighed. "I'm really tired. I stayed up all night in solidarity with you, and then this. Let me get some sleep and I'll think of something when I wake up."
