(Velvet)
She winced slightly as the phantom pain in her left eye acted up, unconsciously putting a hand over her eye-patch, absentmindedly staring at the TV in her hospital room. She finally got an honest-to-god, respectable job with an actual good boss... only for Roman Torchwick and that psycho decided that it'll be a great idea to rob the place... on her first day. She sometimes wonders if there was a god that has a grudge on her or something, and she has no idea why. She was trying her best to be a good person...
She let out a heavy sigh as her mind drifted to her boss. What will he do once he comes back? Is he gonna be angry at her? He was nice enough, but she can see that he really cared about money, and Torchwick stole every single potion on the shelves. Fortunately, he didn't check in the basement, so he didn't steal the entire storage... but that's still a lot of money. She tried to stop them and even managed to injure Roman slightly, but in the end, they got away with a fortune.
That sadistic girl took Velvet's left eye when her Aura was broken, and the only reason why the girl spared her, was because Roman being paranoid that he's gonna be targeted by Ozpin. And with Ozpin having a connection to the other headmasters, who are also councilmen, hiding from the authorities will be almost impossible.
Then, her teammates made themselves known in her mind, and Velvet paled. Oh, gods what will they do? They're gonna flip the entire city upside down to find Roman! And Coco... she's gonna be pissed with her.
Velvet covered her face as she groaned. First, her boss, then her teammates-
The door was knocked on, and a familiar voice spoke up. "Velvet? Can I come in?"
Aaaand it's her boss.
Of course, it is.
She can't catch a break, can she? Great, now she's feeling nervous. He's gonna be pissed, isn't he?
"S-sure."
The door was opened, and in walked the Schnee lookalike... but he was different. First, he was slightly taller, probably by one or two inches, his build was slightly bigger, but the difference isn't that prominent. His face, however...
Velvet blushed beet-red at the flawless face he now had.
He had a face that would stop anyone in their tracks as if it demanded the attention of anyone who saw it. His sharp eyes were a mesmerizing deep-blue, a gentle glow was barely noticeable, making them all the more captivating. The gentle expression on his roguish face as he looked at her was surprising but relieving. His jaw, chin, and cheekbones were sharper, making him look older, more mature, and even a little intimidating. Velvet wasn't into older men, or even into "Bad Boys", but by the gods, the man in front of her looked like a beautifully carved masterpiece. With features that fit together in just such an...alien manner that somehow came together to form a picture of utter beauty.
What the heck happened to him? How did he change so much in so little time?
Velvet sputtered apologies when she realized that she was staring, her bunny ears drooping low as she stared down, refusing to meet his eyes.
"Velvet..." He said, ignoring her sputters. "What... happened to your eye?"
The Faunus froze as one of her hands trailed over the eyepatch, all of her flusters replaced with sorrow.
"Who did this to you?" He asked, and she shuddered at the low growl. "Roman, or that psycho bitch of his?"
"W-well... the latter." She answered.
She saw his pupils turn into slits, but then he closed his eyes and took a calming deep breath. With a snap of his finger, a healing potion appeared out of thin air.
"Here." He offered it to her. "This should fix you up."
She took the vial as he sat down on the chair next to her, covering his face with a sigh. "I'm... sorry, Velvet. I really am."
"H-huh?"
"I should've stayed with you." He said. "If I did, then this wouldn't have happened. I could've helped you drive them off..."
"Oh..." She looked at the small vial in her hand. "I-it's fine, sir. I'm a huntress, so things like this are bound to happen."
"Doesn't make it fine." He muttered.
She shook her head. "I'm okay, really! Losing an eye isn't that big of a deal..."
"That's not what I..." He sighed. "Never mind. Just drink the damn thing."
She nodded slowly and opened the cork, then drank the entire thing in one go. As she swallowed the contents, she yelped as her injured eye burned. Tears spilled as she grimaced, but after a few blinks, the pain disappeared. She was about to ask Reid what had happened, but he got closer and took off her eyepatch, and Velvet gasped as she saw with her previously destroyed eye.
"W-what-"
"Yeah, these potions are a lot more effective than someone would think." He chuckled. "Hell, they can regenerate severed arms... but it hurts like a bitch. Trust me, I tried..."
Velvet was speechless. Her sight was important to her seeing as she enjoys photography and losing it felt like getting hit by a truck, as much as she waved it off in front of her boss. She was prepared to never see with her left eye ever again, to never enjoy the beauty as much, and she dreaded when her teammates knew about this...
The Faunus glanced at the vial, still in shock.
She knew the potions they sold to civilians only healed minor cuts and bruises, and the ones to Hunters were only slightly stronger. But this one can heal severely damaged eyes? Regenerate limbs? And he wasted something like this on her?
She turned to look at him. "Why?"
"Hm?"
"Why did you waste this on me?" She questioned. "We only just met yesterday. How can you give me something so valuable?"
"Listen, this is entirely my fault, and I should pay for the consequences." He answered. "True, they're very expensive but nowhere near as valuable as you."
Velvet froze for a few seconds then her face turned into a bright shade of red. Does he think she's that important? But why? They don't know each other that much, and these... stronger potions are definitely hard to make. Does he really care about her that much?
"Anyway, I think I bothered you enough." He said, standing up. "If you don't want to work anymore, then I understand. Just come back whenever you're free so I can give you your pay for the day. If you want to continue working, however, I'll really appreciate it."
As he went about his way, she opened her mouth to say something but closed it as he left the room before she got the chance to. Her hand trailed over her recently healed eye once more as realization finally hit her. She teared up when the shock of losing her eye and regaining it on the same day finally resided. Velvet sobbed quietly and in relief, internally swearing to pay back the debt to her boss.

30 Reputation with Velvet Scarlatina
Closing the door of my store behind me, I let out a breath as I go to the basement, specifically the golem room. I really don't want to work right now. I want to go upstairs and take a nap… but I don't think I have the luxury when I barely have enough time to make 500 billion Liens in three months. Every day is more valuable than gold, and I need to use these days to their fullest.
Scrolling through the shop window, I spot Golemancy and immediately buy it. There goes my 50K… hope it's worth it.

[Create Magic Circle] (LV 1/25)
Draw a magical circle for magical experiments. No requirements, but the lower the level, the weaker it is and the higher the risk.
Every 5 levels will unlock a new magic circle that is stronger and more stable.
I wince slightly at the sudden information shoved in my head. This is… new. Why did it hurt this time?
Because you weren't supposed to get a new class right now. Your mind wasn't ready for the information.
Doesn't make sense, but whatever.
So, to make a golem, I need space, a magic circle created with chalk, my blood, and certain base materials, which are wood or clay, to make the golem. I already have a room built for golems, so space isn't a problem. Blood is easy, same with the materials… but I don't have chalk. Going through the store again, I buy a small bag containing five sticks of chalk.
Create Magic Circle leveled up!
I kneel down and draw a circle, then a star pentagon inside it. For this to work, I need to fill the star pentagon and the empty sides of the circle with certain letters. They're like runes, but not quite. I do so, taking a few minutes to make sure I didn't miss a spot or mess up a letter. From what I know, if the magic circle isn't perfect, then I can accidentally summon a demon.
Yes, a demon.
No, I have no idea how golemancy is related to demonology.
Once I was finished, I connect the circle with a line using the chalk, but I don't go very far. This will be where I give my blood. The chalk line will absorb it and send it to the center of the circle, where the materials should be. I take out a small log of wood and gently put it on the center, then bite my finger hard enough to draw blood. The blood droplets touch the chalk line, and I immediately back away.
...Nothing happened.
Did I mess up someh-
The magic circle glowed gold as magic flowed through it. My eyes widen in awe as the wood log started changing. It grew in size then arms and legs exploded from it in a loud crunch. Its head grew slightly after it stood up, then it knelt with its head low and fist on the ground.

Golemancy leveled up!
That… was actually kinda cool…
But it takes so long to make one golem, and you need to redraw certain parts of the circle, and I only leveled up once. If that's the case, then it's gonna take a while to make the golem potions… and I don't know what's the requirement for that. What level do I need to be? Do I just throw the vial in, or do I find another way to make them? This is the problem with using magic in a magicless world. There are no books to read!
And I doubt Ozpin knows what golems are if the maidens can only use elemental magic.
I guess the only thing I can do now is leveling the skill up, but I have a limited supply of wood. Why do I have wood? Well, remember the forest where the titan kicked my ass? Yeah, I took some of the broken and scorched wood with me on the way back home. I knew golems required materials, and wood was obviously a low-level one.
I think I have enough for 30 golems, but I doubt that's enough. I'll go tomorrow to get more materials since it's late right now, like clay, metal, and maybe even dust. Maybe I can make elemental golems…
How cool would that be? Lightning Golems, Fire Golems, even Gravity Golems! An entire army of golems following my every command… Maybe I can even sell golems somehow, as bodyguards or something similar. And maybe once I get enough credits, I can make golems from other metals, like Mythril, Katchintite, and Vibranium.
What if I can shape them? This one is humanoid, but what if I can make different shapes?
A giant golem ship that can fly and hold thousands of people on board… an Armada.
Leviathan's Armada.
Oooh, I like the sound of that.
Quest added
[Leviathan's Armada]
Objective: Create a gigantic golem in the shape of a ship, and have 10,000 people onboard

...I've been getting a lot of quests lately. Not that I'm complaining. More quests mean rewards and rewards mean I get stronger and/or richer. And who doesn't want to be strong and rich? A moron, that's who.
(Next day...)
Alright, I finally made my 29 golems, even though it's supposed to be 31. Me, the dumbass I am, got the wonderful idea of throwing low-quality uncut fire dust crystal with the wood. It is a good idea on paper, but the problem is that I'm under-leveled. I'm not supposed to use dust, no matter the quality when I'm only level 5. But it's me, so I did it anyway.
Good news? I didn't summon Satan.
Bad news? The circle blew up, the materials blew up, and I blew up. It hurt a lot, taking 10,000 Aura, but that doesn't come close to the pain of having to draw the entire damned circle again. It's so fucking tedious...but honestly? The pay off is kinda worth it.
I tried using dust again after leveling up some more, and it thankfully worked. I made a scorch-wood golem, and that's a level 10 golem. Slightly stronger, but not that much. It does look cooler though.
Now, to make higher tier golems I'm gonna need a new magic circle and colored chalk. Blue to be specific, and its way more complicated. Golems are cool, but the process is not. Do I regret taking the class? Fuck no. I can do so much with them, especially in this world. I'm gonna make an army, and unlike Atlas' robots, golems are unhackable. Nothing can control them except for me.
Right, now that I'm out of materials, and it's noon, I can go to some stores to get what I want. Creating golems is time-consuming, especially when the damn thing blows up on your face and you have to draw everything again. I know I can buy some from the Gamer Store, but I'd rather save Credits for other stronger materials. I also have a lot of Lien anyway, and buying stuff doesn't take away from the quest.
Oh yeah, I need to swing by the Police Station for the statement too.
Stretching slightly, I order the golems to remain here until I come back. As I arrive at the front door, I sigh then open it, pausing as it hits something.
"Ow!" A voice squeaks out. "My nose…"
I raise a brow and close the door behind me as I step out, my eyes widening as I see Ruby nursing her nose with a grimace.
...I'm not complaining, but this is my LUK stat's doing, isn't it? Maybe I should invest more in it…
Now that I think about it, I have 355 spare points, but that would still cost 188 to get it to 500…
Eh, fuck it.
312 + 188 = 500 LUK
Perks gained
[Treasure Radar] – 500 LUK
If you're near any kind of treasure, you'll feel a tugging sensation leading you to its location. This also includes dungeons.
[Perfectly Balanced] – 500 All stats
'As all things should be…' -Some purple alien
This perk lets you able to increase your stats through other means. STR, VIT, and DEX can be increased through exercise and training, INT and WIS through studying and experiencing new things, CHA through leading or seducing women, and LUK through wining luck-based games.
Note: You must work to gain stats. Running a marathon when you have 500 VIT and DEX is not gonna cut it, and reading books you already read won't increase your INT, etc
….Maybe a balanced build won't be that hard to make after all. Increasing Intelligence and Wisdom is probably the easiest out of the bunch, with the physical stats being the hardest. How the hell am I gonna train my muscles when I can lift over 20 tonnes with ease? I still haven't read any book, so learning new shit is gonna be easy.
But I can agonize about that later.
"Hey, you okay?" I say, giving her a smile. "Sorry, I didn't see you there."
She opened her mouth to respond but froze as she looked at my face. Her face turned scarlet as she stuttered a reply. I refrain from smirking in pride as my Charisma makes her speechless, then hold a hand towards her.
"Are you gonna stay there, or are you gonna take my hand?" I ask in amusement.
"O-oh, S-sorry…" She says quietly, taking my hand. I pull her back up and she dusts her clothes. "Um... T-thanks..."
"You're welcome." I nod, feeling her emotions.
There's the obvious embarrassment… but she's also sad, unmotivated, tired, and other negative emotions.
She's… not very happy, is she?
"So, we meet again." I mask my frown with a small grin. "It's been what, a month?"
"H-huh?" She squeaks out in confusion. "We- we met before?"
"Of course we did." I raise a brow in amusement. "Don't tell me you forgot who I am already?"
Her blush intensifies as she stutters a response. "I-I-I mean, of course, I remember you! You're… that guy… that I met… a month ago…"
The redness in her face already reached her neck, and I couldn't help but snort audibly. That only made her use her cloak to hide from embarrassment.
"I-I'm so so sorry!" She cries out. "I can't remember anything at all! I didn't mean to forget, I swear-!"
I cut her off with a laugh. "It's fine, I get it. We only met briefly, and it was a while ago." As I tell her this, I put one of my hands inside of my pocket and pull out an Aura potion from my inventory. "Though, this should refresh your memory…"
I show her the potion, making her gasp and point at me. "Y-you're that suspicious drug guy!"
"Who are you calling suspicious?!"
"I-I mean, the guy in the forest! The one fighting Grimm, right?" She asks.
"Yes, that's me." I sigh. "Calling me suspicious is gonna hurt my feelings, y'know?"
She flinches. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that…"
Guilt, sadness, self-loathing
Jesus, she's a bundle of bad emotions, isn't she?
"It's fine, I'm just messing around." I wave it off. "So, you finally came to visit my place, huh?"
"No, I, um…" She gulps. "I wanted to… take a walk to clear my head…"
"...You good?" I ask in concern. "You look down."
Her guilt intensifies.
Fucking hell. Wasn't she a hyperactive, optimistic, bubbly girl? What the fuck happened?
"I-I'm fine." She shakes her head. "I'll uh… I'll get out of your hair now. See you, I guess…"
She walks past me, but then I get in front of her with a smirk.
"Nah, I don't think so."
"Wh-what-"
"Because you didn't remember who I am, the one who you promised by the way." I remind her, mentally apologizing as she winces. "You're obliged to help me shopping."
"What?! No, I can't-"
"Yes, you can." I interrupt her. "You have legs and arms, and I need someone to help me carry the bags. Come on, it's gonna be very crowded if we don't move now."
She protests but I grab her by the arm and drag her to the store I want. Building connections is an important thing when getting isekai'd, especially if its a world like RWBY. I already planned to build some kind of a relationship with Weiss and through that the SDC, and Ruby? First, Silver Eyes. While I can probably replicate it with pure magical power, having her close by to petrify Grimm will be incredibly useful. After all, I need to research more about them to find better weapons against the titans. Also, Ruby is connected to Qrow, and through that Ozpin. So if they dared to threaten me, I can just use Ruby as a hostage, as much as gut turning that thought is.
Besides, she looked really sad. Might as well brighten her day a little bit.
I think I'll like her better when she's smiling.
I look at Ruby and use Observe

Commendable observation.
Called it.
Eh, it doesn't matter. I was just curious about her stats. Kinda disappointed, but I understand that not everyone is near my level. I have 500 in everything, and Qrow's strongest stat was 179. I'm far above almost everything in this world, barring Salem and the Titans. I can literally crush a steel beam with my grip alone… I'm pretty sure.
Kinda sad that nothing can really threaten me right now, but whatever. I'm sure the Titans are gonna be worth it.
(Salem)
One day.
Only one day of research and she discovered many interesting things about the arm… or more specifically, the mana within it.
When magic was bestowed on mortals, it was by the brother gods. Light and Darkness were the very foundation of mana. Every and all beings must have both elements to manipulate them into fire, air, water, earth, lightning, ice, and so on. If you're born with one element? You can only manipulate it, and never others. If you're born with light, you may only use light. If you're born with dark, you may only use dark. If you're born with both, however, then you are able to mix light and darkness to create other elements.
She too was born with both light and darkness, and she managed to branch out to other elements that were never discovered. Enhancements, gravity, Reinforcement, and many more.
But this arm… this mana was different. Because unlike every other being… It has neither. No darkness, no light. Only purity.
It's as if… whoever had this mana was not made by the brother gods. It was otherworldly, shattering the very laws of magic that were engraved in her mind millenniums ago. Nothing ever prepared her for whatever discoveries she was about to make.
This… is an anomaly.
And it was exciting.
She got off her chair and went to the dungeon deep underneath her castle, where the Grimm pool resided. Right now, she needs a vessel. A vessel that can hold this strange mana within it. But what kind of creature should she make? This is a new species after all, so it needs a new body.
A certain memory resurfaced, and Salem frowned deeply. The memory painted a picture where three little girls ran around in a small field, laughing and playing under the bright sun. Salem's frown turned sad, then she shook her head as she got ready to build the vessel, an idea made itself known in her head.
As she was about to mold the dark energy of the pool, someone knocked on the door.
"My lady?" The voice of Arthur Watts called. "I have a request."
Ah yes, she needed to send him to Atlas to retrieve that failed Atlesien Project…
"Watts." She said with a voice full of authority. "Enter."
The door was opened and in walked the scientist wearing a neutral look. He bowed in respect and stood straight as he questioned.
"If I may, my lady?"
"Proceed."
"I suggest letting Cobalt come with me to Atlas." He said. "His semblance would do wonders with the Happy Huntresses. If we managed to… convince them that we're on their side, we would have agents inside Mantle and Atlas. Not only that, but Ironwood and the council don't know who he is."
"I see." She nodded. "Very well, you may take him with you. But make sure you're not spotted with him."
"Naturally." He bowed. "I promise you, my lady, we will not fail. The next time we return, we will have the Winter Maiden with us… and the relic."
"Of course. I have high hopes for you, Watts." Salem pressured. "Do not fail me."
"I would never."
As those words left him, he exited the dungeon and went out for his mission. Salem exhaled through her nose as she prepared to start molding the vessel. Dark energies swirled around above the pool, where Salem used her mana to shape it into a small humanoid body. The Dark Queen focused on the flow of magic, making sure to not let a single drop of light magic inside it. The vessel was slowly taking shape, and sickening pops and cracks of bones were heard from it. Eventually, Salem was done and used telekinesis to get the vessel near her.
She held the slumbering body of a little girl with long black hair and skin as white as snow. Salem smirked darkly, then brought the Prince, or Princess now, to the operating table. Tendrils of darkness came out from Salem's black robes, trapping the young Grimm into the table.
Right now, she only needs to extract the blood and mana from the arm, then inject it inside the Princess. The pure mana will flow through it, and that will give the young Grimm the ability to use magic at an extremely young age. Salem had to wonder though; would it inherit her 'Father's' fire magic? If yes, then would she be a prodigy at it? Would she gain the intelligence of a human at such a young age?
There were many questions, and soon enough, all of them will be answered.
She only has to wait for a little bit really.
After all, time is on her side.
It always has been…
(Aurelius)
His golden eyes narrowed as he read the report, then he turned to face the nervous recruit, who yelped at his gaze.
"At ease, young man. You have not done anything to anger me." He held his hand, and the recruit gulped but nodded. "This report here mentioned Raven Branwen attacking some of you… Do you have no idea why?"
"N-no, sir." He quickly shook his head. "I and a couple of other guys were walking through the woods when some of the bandits attacked us. We got rid of them easily enough, but then-"
"Raven made herself known." Aurelius finished for him, then he gently put the paper on the desk. "I see. Could you tell me what has happened? From start to finish."
"R-right." He nodded, then took a deep breath. "So, Jake, Sunny, and I split from the main group. We wanted to go to the north as the others kept going east. We… wanted to cut down the time by going through other villages and asking around."
"A sound plan." Aurelius praised. "And then."
"Right, um." He cleared his throat. "I'll spare you the boring stuff, but as I said before, we were ambushed. We managed to easily get rid of them, but Raven was there with them… and she kicked out asses. Bad.
"If you ask the others, they'll say we put up a good fight, but she honestly wiped the floor with us. We almost got a good hit on her a couple of times, like that time where Jake used his teleportation to hit her back, but she used her semblance and blew him far away-"
"Wait." The mafia boss stopped him. "She used… her semblance? And what was her semblance?"
"Umm… Aerokinesis, I think."
"...I see. I believe I've heard enough. You may go and rest with your brothers. Tell Adam to meet me on your way."
"Oh, uh. Sure. Thanks, boss."
The young man bowed deeply before leaving the room. Aurelius sighed before standing up from his chair, looking through the window of his mansion.
Could it be? Is Raven the Spring Maiden? He knew Raven's semblance was portals, it was recorded on Beacon's files after all, so her suddenly knowing Aerokinesis doesn't make sense. Of course, she could be hiding her real semblance and using air dust to fool others into thinking that she had an air semblance, and he isn't doubting for a second that Raven wouldn't be a skilled dust user. Her being the Maiden is still all speculations… but it is worth investigating.
'If anything is out of the ordinary, no matter how insignificant it is, investigate.' is what his master used to say. And these words saved his life multiple times from assassins, sabotages, traps, and so on.
The door was knocked on and Aurelius answered. "Enter."
His brother entered the office, his hand resting on his katana. "You summoned me for a reason… did we find her?"
"I'm not sure," Aurelius answered truthfully. "It may be her, but I don't have any solid proof. Which is why I need you to take your men and look for Raven Branwen."
"Raven Branwen… The Bandit Queen?" Adam questioned. "You think she's the Maiden?"
"It's a possibility, but again, I'm still not sure." The Shark Faunus shook his head. "I'll send another group to help you out… but, I need you to take someone else, just in case."
"Who is it?"
"Mancio Sullivan."
He could feel Adam raising a brow at that. "Your Protege?"
"Yes." Aurelius nodded. "Mancio is… strong. Far stronger than anyone in Caliban and Mistrali Hunters. But he lacks experience, for he only bothers with women and booze."
"He was content with what he has…" Adam said quietly.
"And never strived to be better." Aurelius finished, smiling behind his mask. "You still remember his words. I'm glad.
"But it is as it seems. Mancio is powerful, terrifyingly smart, and charismatic, but he is extremely lazy. I'll order him to go with you…. But be warned, he can be very… infuriating."
"...Sure." Adam nodded. "I don't know how useful he can be if he is as lazy as you say though."
"He'll do the bare minimum… or do nothing at all." The Boss said bluntly. "I just want him out of that accursed strip club for once."
"Understood." Adam nodded again. "We'll leave tomorrow morning then, immediately after the sun rises."
Adam bowed in respect before exiting the office. Aurelius sighed deeply as his thoughts went back to his protege. He showed incredible potential that far surpasses his. He could be one of the most powerful men on the planet… but his laziness and lust are slowly destroying the potential. Aurelius tried so hard to get him out of that state, but words were met with insults, and force was met with assassination attempts.
Aurelius can't even beat him into submission anymore, for he has grown too strong. With his powerful semblance combined with the asinine physical capabilities, he is almost unbeatable…
He just hoped someone would beat the laziness out of him.
I wanted the write one more scene, but I think this is enough for the chapter. I also kinda wanted to write the second part of the Gluttony Omake, but I think it'll be more appropriate next chapter. You'll understand why.
Not much has happened, but I decided this chapter will have in it WORLD BUILDING, to show that the world moves even when Reid doesn't. After all, the world doesn't revolve around him... yet. And hey, he finally met Ruby again, the main waifu of the fic, so I think this is a good chapter, but that's just my opinion.
Oh yeah, this somehow surpassed Play The Game Differently by 40 followers. I thought you people liked evil MCs more? Oh well, I'm happy either way.
Anyyyywayyy, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, with the whole golem stuff.
btw, I get that some of you don't like OCs filling the fic, but the OCs will be mostly villains and shit. So don't expect OCs to join Reid any time soon. they're all gonna try to kill him, and he's gonna kill them back.
So I've made a Pat reon not too long ago. Don't feel obligated that you have to donate because you don't have to, but the fifth tier gets you one Omake of your choice... As long as it's not smut for private reasons. You'll be credited for the idea of course. Thank you very much if you do donate. The link [ Pat reon dot com slash Mirlnir
