TOKYO'S LATE NIGHT SHOW STARRING MS JOKE!

"Hey did y'all hear how about what Pro Hero Deku got himself into? Of course you have, you guys don't live under a rock, which is more then what I can say about Deku seeing his latest tweets!"

The crowd exploded into laughter!

"Now, now, don't be harsh on him, I can understand why his mind is at such a surface level of thinking. He's probably afraid that if he elevates any higher he'll end up in space and we all know how he feels about things from space!"

One can hear the booming fits becoming louder from the audience.

"He'll probably Detroit Smash the first thing that'll bump into him like, POW!" Ms Joke exclaimed as she playful swung at the air, "O-oh my apologies Himawari 8, thought you were a villain."

She now had the crowd howling in laughter.

"For those in the audience who don't know, Himawari 8 is a weather satellite that was made over a century ago. Now that it'll make much difference to Deku, he drops that thing faster than you can say his name! To be fair, that old rust bucket was acting awfully suspicious, orbiting around the earth like that, might be best to take care of it before it can start plotting!"

The crowd was dying from laughing at this point.

"I always enjoyed these kinds of shows," Uraraka mumbled to herself as she watched Ms Joke's performance on her office laptop, "Until I was a part of the other side, now it just feels bitter."

Sighing the brunette rested her weary head on the desk, she was exhausted from the workload she had to do, her usual workload was already taxing enough but now doing business damage control was overkill. She thanked the gods that despite the eviscerated mangled corpse that was the Pro Hero Deku's public image, business was still doing pretty good. Their years of dedicated work have paid off as the majority of their partners don't want to leave them either out of loyalty or because they didn't care about the controversy since it doesn't affect them, the rest just have concerns. That did mean they had to make sure they gave them no reason to doubt their current capabilities, or more specifically make sure that Deku doesn't do anything to make them think they're no longer able to be effective heros. They now have another important thing they must do.

'No matter what, we can't let the public ever see him as a incompotant hero!'

That was what Ochako strongly told herself, they could not afford to screw up for their agency. Which made it pretty understandable why she was feeling a very complex emotion between 'I'm so worried something bad might happen to him' and 'I'm going to kill that man' whenever she looked and saw Deku lounging around with that busty blonde woman watching Dragon Ball Z!

To be fair to Izuku, it wasn't like he was purposely not doing his work so he can watch anime, as ridiculous as pet rocks being a thing, this was something being done to save his career. If he was going to be criticized over some fictional character's place in a series then he may as well watch the series, that way he'll fully know what people are referring to and his earlier blunders of ignorance won't be repeated. While it's a sound plan to do considering the situation, it just happens to involve high ranking heroes enjoying a really old anime, with snacks of course. Just because they're doing this for work doesn't mean they can't enjoy the time spent doing it, what kind of binge would this be without chips and popcorn.

Of course some idle chat between co-workers would occur.

"Oh! That super long golden hair thing Goku did was Super Saiyan 3!" Exclaimed a very surprised Deku, he was on the edge of his seat watching the icon transform.

Shinsou, someone who had returned from his errand a while ago and decided to join them in their binge, was still baffled by this turn of events and asked, "Ok so explain to me again how you didn't know about Dragon Ball Z, it's literally more popular then original Dragon Ball!"

"I was into heroes more so than anime and manga," Deku explained, "The only time I actually invested time in any of them was if they were adapting some story involving a real life hero. Like that western slightly sci-fi adventure involving Snipe, what was its name again? Right, TriShot!"

He really was trying his best here. After the first incident he started his own research into Dragon Ball's history, the issue was he was too rushed to read the series that he didn't do enough research to know all the backdoor information around it, not to mention how nowadays search results for Dragon Ball was flooded out by its dozens of spin-offs and reports about him. Seeing how almost all of the spin-offs shared the name Dragon Ball and not Dragon Ball Z he assumed Dragon Ball was the only canon series. He was right to think so since he saw that the manga was only called Dragon Ball and conveniently that twitter incident happened right after he read Goku's marriage.

Timing was everything.

"Oh yeah I remember that show as a kid, it wasn't bad but had a stupid name though. What kind of name is TriShot, the man was all about his guns?" Shinso asked.

"I heard they tried to name the anime by another name but something about copyright with a studio named Madhouse happened."

"That's… wait how can you know that but not have a clue about Dragon Ball Z! I even remember some of my friends as a kid making references to super saiyan whenever we ever talk about anime or manga even though they never actually saw the show! The fuck did your friends talk about?"

"..." Midoriya stayed silent as he remembered his childhood.

"Stop crying or else we'll just hit you harder Deku!"

"My...childhood wasn't one where I was that sociable," Deku continued, quickly changing the subject back to show, "This anime is amazing though!" He was practically jumping in his seat from the excitement of the extremely monumental moment, he felt like a kid again watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Of course Shinsou just rolled his eyes at this, seeing as the reason they're in so much trouble to begin with was because he hadn't watched it before but Camie had a different perspective on things. Lying down on the couch she was on her phone during this entire binge, only listening in once in a while and checking on her client. She found Midoriya's childish demeanor over watching this show amusing, in a genuine kind of way and couldn't help but giggle to herself.

"I guess it's true, some boys never grow up!"

Hearing this Midoriya's ears quickly perked up as he instantly felt embarrassed about his behaviour, getting so riled up over an old show seemed immature of him and tried to apologize for it, "S-sorry, I just really love action based media."

"No sweat, I like, totes find it adorable how you still kept some of your kiddish side despite growing up," Camie told him, laying a hand on his shoulder to let him know to not taking her levity from him as a bad thing, "Infact, I know a few girls who'll find that attractive in a charming young man like you."

Turning toward her to reply, Midoriya made the deadly mistake of looking a bit too low, getting another eye full of her cleavage through her costume; that catsuit did a marvelous job enhancing her already impressive rack. She was leaning closer to him as she waited for his response, giving him a closer look at her chest, and a better view of her gorgeous face. Her glossy lips curled into a smile that struck the boy down to his core and the coconut scent of her perfume invaded his nostrils making her presence unignorable. After just a glimpse, she became too distracting for the young hero to properly respond, leaving him sitting there like an idiot with his mouth open.

Then suddenly a stack of papers was dropped in front of him, landing squarely on his lap, his uneven lap. Painfully dragging his attention elsewhere. When he looked to see who would be cruel enough to drop a stack on his family jewels he was met with a frightening sight, Uraraka was there in front of him, she was keeping up appearances with a bright smile but she may as well had a demon god of wrath standing behind her. He feared what she was going to say when her mouth opened.

"Deku, how is damage control going?"

Midoriya gulped hard before answering, "I-it's going good."

"Working hard?"

"Y-yes."

"Learning a lot?"

"Yes!"

"Greaaaaaat! Glad you're having fun while I'm neck deep in work caused by some idiot not knowing when to stop talking but I was wondering when you were going to, well y'know, do anything to boost your god awful AR with Camie? The reason she's here in the first place!"

"A- well you see, we're kinda just informing ourselves about Dragon Ball so that I can not be taken by surprise by any new information."

"Mmm yes, must be having a real enlightenment right now sitting back and munching on some pringles while you watch TV."

"Lightly salted pringles!' Camie stated holding up her container, "Gotta watch that sodium intake or else it'll totes mess with your body vibes. By the way, do ya got some sun chips?"

Midoriya swears he saw a vein appear on her forehead as she slowly looked at the innocent eating blonde.

"If we did I'll be sure to properly serve it to you by shoving it up your-"

"Ok!" Midoriya cut in, leaping to his feet to politely hold(restrain) his (frighteningly)favorite co-owner before she finish her joke(very possible threat), "Ahahaha you love your snappy cracks don't you Ochako but I think all that work you've been doing made your sense of humor a bit cruel."

"Oh you think, gee I wonder who caused it!?"

"Alright how about you take a nice long rest in the break room, you can turn off the lights and everything so you can relax better," He suggestly as she hastely lead her away from her possible murder victem, "By the time you wake up we'll be sure to have come up with something."

"Yeah I actually have something important to talk to Midoriya about that's been on my mind for a bit," Camie added it, actually sounding somewhat serious for once.

"...Ok, I'll be holding you up to that," Sighed Ochako holding her head, "I think this whole thing has been making me more agitated."

With that confrontation concluded and Uraraka was comfortably cooling herself, Midoriya went back to the group.

"Oh hey you're back!" Camie announced when she saw him reenter.

Nodding Midoriya asked her, "What did you want to ask me?"

"It's involving your twitter."

"Oh no, not another one!"

"No, no. I think we should stray away from twitter QnA for a while, at least til we start getting some good clout back or else they'll just keep trying to make you tweak. For now let's just work on making sure nothing else at the moment can be used against you."

"Right, since I'm already researching the actual series that's a smart next step in getting back my AR."

"Ok Deeeeku, first things first. Is there anything on your twitter relating to aliens that might be taken as offensive? If there is, we may be able to delete them ahead of time if not at least get you mentally prepared to answer questions for them before the media blows them up.

Midoriya actually took time to think hard about this, for as much of a comedy this may seem like to people, he actually wanted to solve this situation as soon as possible. Not just for him but for his agency and everyone who helped him get this far, he's lucky most of the hatred has only been directed at him and not his friends. It's just a tragedy that a lack of sociability in adolescents may be the cause of his 'foot in mouth' syndrome he's been suffering recently.

After being triple sure of himself he answers her. "No, I tend to keep my Twitter free of overly controversial topics. I mostly just talk about the average stuff I do so we should be fine."

"Good," Camie states, stretching out her arms, "Cause that's one of the first things the media goes for when they wanna keep the drama going on a situation that's dying down."

"I can see that happening, they probably don't even care if I'm actually trying to fix my image."

"It's up to you to not slack on your work, don't rely on the media to be sensible. Though to be fair, despite everything your status is more on the memed kind of hate than personal."

"R-really?"

"Yeah, the most I can look up about people talking about you, besides of course the multiple threats are memes. The most popular is this picture an artist drew of you saying you were gonna build some kind of wall and make the villains pay for it."

Camie showed him what she was referring to and just looking at it brought a small smile to his face, both to how silly the drawing made everything look and being thankful that his AR ratings dropping isn't people truly hating him. He didn't get what this was referring to though, he never mentioned building a wall or even wearing that kind of hat. Deciding to care more about his status he got them back on topic.

"That should mean it'll be easier to turn their hearts around right?"

"Yeah fam, I already said that! All we gotta do is sit back while things cool and wait for our chance to WOW everyone."

BREAKING NEWS! Old Tweets show Deku's Past aggression toward Aliens

RealDekuForAll

`Independence Day Remake was amazing, the aliens were quite creepy though. I know I'll Detroit smash them if one ever tries to invade the earth.

#KeepTheEarthGreat`

`I hope they improve on the writing with remaking the Sequel. Don't bother giving the alien's civilization or an actual culture. They're a threat to humanity for a reason, save us time for more important things then trying to convince us otherwise!`

Midoriya had nothing to say, he just kept his hand over his mouth.

Camie didn't say anything either as she looked more surprised than anything.

Ochako was just done with everything.

"Honest to god, I forgot I tweeted that," Midoriya confessed.

"You think!?"

"I mean there's totes worst he could've said," Camie told them, bringing out her phone, "Not like something like this will do too much to his remaining supporters."

Tears streamed uncontrollably from Deku's face as Uraraka's eyes whited out from the shock.

Looking down at her phone with a calm face, Camie says, "Wow, I've never seen an AR hit the single digits before. Y'all really need help!"

The way she sounded almost amused at the end was the breaking point for Ochako, silently grabbing a nearby glass vase and making her way towards the unaware woman who was too busy on her phone. Deku literally had to damn near tackle her to stop her to restrain and slowly move her away from the group.

"I think you need the whole paid day off, don't worry Shinso will handle the rest and I promise we'll raise my AR by the end of the day," He assured her again as he ushers her out of the building and to her car.

The only response he got back was mumbles in a demonic tone before she drove off, the best he got from it was 'better remember to do your job'.

Heading back into the building he saw that Camie was doing full body stretching, instantly knowing he was going to be caught by her bodily galore, Midoriya turned away before asking, "What's happening?"

"We're heading out!" She happily answered.

"To do what?"

"You're gonna go save some peeps!"

Apparently a villain attack was being broadcast not too far from them downtown, a raid by the police and pro heroes had taken place. Despite their both to end the conflict swiftly the villains there manage to put up a better resistance then they expected, at some points giving the heroes there some trouble because a much more powerful villain that wasn't supposed to be there showed up. Thanks to the unexpected arrival of Pro Hero Red Riot and Ground Zero, the situation was kept under control where nearby civilian life was no longer put in danger.

The Villain that was causing the most issues was one whose quirk allowed him to unleash these energy absorbing tentadril that grows the more energy it absorbs, which became pretty deadly since they were already powerful to begin with. It shamefully took too long for the heroes from the initial raid to figure out the trick to his quirk because the villains smartly kept it discrete and by the time they figured it out they used their last remaining energy to supercharge their boss.

Bakugo and Kirishima, also known as Ground Zero and Red Riot while not in trouble, did find it difficult to fight this villain. Ground Zero's explosion was a type of energy the villain's quirk can absorb no matter how dense he made it and Red Riot's physical attacks and ability to endure any hit made him a viable weapon to use but the amount of tendrils using his speed against him to prevent him from getting in close prevented him from landing a blow.

The two pros looked at each other, seeing their situation they just smiled.

"You wanna do that?" Ground Zero asked.

Name: Eijiro Kirishima - Hero Name: Red Riot - Age: 20 - Current Rank: No. 32 Hero - Approval Ratings: 567

"Ah yeah! It's going to look so manly!" Red Riot answered.

"Then get yourself set up already, I've already built up my sweat," Bakugo told him, stepping behind the red head.

Without question Red Riot began his transformation into Unbreakable, crossing his arms in front of his body as if he was going to charge right in. At first glance it looked like the heroes weren't learning their lesson from their last few failed attempts but then Ground Zero pressed his arms on Red Riot's back.

"Here we go shitty hair!" Shouted Bakugo as he used the built up sweat to launch a concentrated blast of explosive energy, "TAKE THIS!"

The blast propelled Red Riot forward with an unbelievable explosive speed, helping the red haired hero blaze through the multiple tendrils without even a bit of resistance. He was moving so fast that the villain didn't even realize what happened until he saw the hardening hero flying toward him at mach speed a few feet away from him. It was safe to say, he didn't have time to react to this move.

As the hero with a body harder than steel collided with the villain's, the special move was named, "UNBREAKABLE CANNON BALL!"

The villain was camotosed from the incident but that was a discovery made later, right now the streets were getting cleaned up and the heroes that defeated the villain were getting interviewed. Of course Kirishima was doing most of the humbling acts while Bakugo also gave credit to other heroes while still sounding like he's somewhat insulting them to get better.

"Hey yes, Kizuki Chitose here! Let me just say amazing job here, I think the crowd loved that special move you two did. What was it called again? Unbreakable Cannon Ball?"

"If you found that impressive, just wait till we use the upgraded version of it!" Bakugo boasts.

"Upgraded version?" Kizuki repeated.

Kirishima stepped in for this one, "Yeah, we've been looking to expand upon Unbreakable Cannon Ball, we have a version in mind where we basically do the same thing we just did but we'll strap grenades onto me so after I crash into a villain I'll explode! We call it the Unbreakable Rocket Launcher!"

Kizuki just blinked at them for a moment, "That sounds….extremely dangerous and unsafe if you miscalculate the shot or the villain dodges and you land like right next to some civilians."

"We already said we're working out the details!" Bakugo shouted at the insanely attractive reporter. That was the end of the interview being productive for them.

The reason Deku was here was to help with the clean up efforts, it wasn't a new experience for him, luckily within some of his internships they had him participate ini clean up efforts so he'll appreciate and know why causing little public destruction was important.

For once things were working out quite great, none of the pros made a big deal about him helping out, infact they seemed to welcome having such a strong and fast worker on their side. It made him seem more humble that while being on top in rankings that didn't mean he saw himself as too big to help with the cleaning efforts instead of getting himself an interview. He even get a few people's hearts by saying his contribution to the clean up effort was his apology for not arriving on the scene fast enough to make the fighting end faster before anything else got destroyed, making sure not to mention how the police actually wanted to recruit him for the raid but thought it'll bring too much media attention for a small time raid.

It took less than an hour to get most of the rumble out of the way thanks to his assistance.

It was when he took a short break that Kirisima approached him, with his usual smiling greeting him, "Hey Deku what's up, pretty cool thing you're doing here! I would've helped out as well but I kinda had to make sure Bakugo didn't say too much to the reporter."

"It's fine, what brings you here to begin with, this isn't the usual city you patrol in?" Deku asked him.

"Oh funny thing, I was here with Bakugo to discuss something important about me and Mina's anniversary and then this happens! Thank god we brought our hero costumes since our work is never done."

"Oh Mina is here?"

"Yeah she's around, just arrived recently so she's just doing the best she can with her quirk. How have you been since the-"

Their conversation was cut short as a bunch of reporters cut between the two old classmates, this was an expected action, no reporter was going to let this opportunity go by and this is exactly what Camie had planned. She was among the crowd of reporters but in disguise, something about how it was best if they weren't seen together just yet. The main goal was to use the live broadcast to get people to see him doing good work that the media can't twist, that way they'll be coming to interview him in a brighter tone then usually since it's happening after a triumphant moment.

The reporter spoke first. They were easy questions they were already expecting. Like why he's here, why he's late, what was his reasoning of staying behind. Then the main questions from Kizuki began.

"A lot of people are surprised you still came out despite all the controversy."

"Well, I can't be letting personal matters affect my work and true dream. No matter what I am socially it's my job to protect people and maintain peace of the city and nothing will ever prevent me from doing that."

"Not even if Namekians landed tomorrow?" Kizuki's blue haired assistant, who really looks like he needs to moisturise more seeing his chapped lips, chimed in.

Knowing their game, Deku told them, "Funny story, after realizing my mistake I've taken time to rewatch the series of Dragon Ball and Z. It was my fault for speaking on a series I didn't finish before, so I'll keep all comments regarding the series reserved until I finish it before giving my final thoughts."

That answer seemed to land well with a lot of the reporters, except for Kizuki's assistant who just grunted. Camie gave him the thumbs up, showing that he was executing the plan perfectly. Picking up on her assistant's slack, Kizuki spoke up.

"You're really upping your game, making sure to reserve yourself before judging something. I guess that's why you were only helping out in the area that had non mutant-type quirk helpers."

"...W-what!?"

"Oh yeah it seemed real convenient that everywhere you were helping out had surprisingly not one mutant-type quirk user."

He, honest to god, didn't even notice it and couldn't confirm if it was true or not. Camie tried to help him by signaling him to stay calm but the sweat already began to drop.

"That's strange, I didn't even notice that."

"Makes sense, you wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary when everyone is normal looking people with non-mutant quirks. Most people are more relaxed about their surroundings when they're around people they can trust."

"N-no I didn't mean it like that, I just honestly was aware who was around me during the clean."

"I believe you, people are only more aware when they think a threat is nearby."

"Damn she is good," Camie silently mumbled to herself.

Panicking Midoriya quickly looked around for something to escape the situation, seeing a familiar pink lady he went to UA with and called out to her.

"Pinky! Hey Pinky!"

As he went around her the reporters followed as well, Minal was happy to see her friend but felt a bit uncomfortable about the sudden press attention that was following. What Midoriya said next only made her more dumbfound from the abruptness of it all.

"I've been friends with her since my UA days, so can you really say I have something against mutant quirk users!? I may have said that a race of mutant looking characters looked like villains and yes, mutant quirk users in real life can become villains as well but that doesn't mean I think all of them are villains."

For a moment it looked Midoriya was getting through to the crowd, until-

"I have mutant-quirk friends! Some of them are heros, like Pinky, she's one of the good ones!"

….

As much as Mina wanted to support Midoriya in his endeavor, she even had to give him a look for that comment. Unable to talk from how sudden she was just dragged into the conversation without even a proper hello to Midoriya's very off statement and making her uncomfortable; which only made the situation look worse for the green haired hero, now it looked like he was forcing his friendship on her.

Finally a reporter said what many people were thinking.

"What do you mean by 'one of the good ones?'"

It took a moment for Midoriya to finally realize what he said.

"NO WAIT-"
