"K-Kagome-onee-san?"

The miko's lips curved into a smile as she saw the black haired boy standing at the entrance of his home. Holding the cake she had helped his mother make, she could not help but feel her heart jump at the wide smile that took over Inari's face.

"Happy Birthday, Inari!" Naruto grinned as he made his way forward and ruffled the boy's hair. After getting a call from the old man Kaiza, Kagome had told Team Seven it was only natural to visit their first class 's' mission customers. When Kagome mentioned to Naruto and Sakura that it would be to celebrate Inari's birthday, they were surprised it was on the same day as Christmas.

"W-What are you doing here?" Inari questioned as he saw Sakura putting the main course for dinner. He had no expected this visit.

"We wanted to celebrate your special day with you," Kagome cut in as she walked towards the shocked boy. "You have grown since the last time we saw you, Inari-kun."

A small blush sprinkled over Inari's cheeks which was not ignored by a certain blonde. Inari sent a small glare to Naruto who he himself was sending one to him. No doubt Naruto was aware of his small crush on the miko.

"I called them," Kaiza spoke. "Kagome-chan was more than happy to come. I did not think she would bring Naruto-kun, Sakura-chan, and Kakashi-san."

Giving them a salute, Kakashi formed a smile behind his mask. "It was Kagome-chan's idea to make the dinner. I hope you don't mind, Inari-kun."

"N-Not at all!" he exclaimed with a smile. His role models were here for his birthday and Christmas! Blinking at the box being presented before him, his eyes rose to meet an ocean hue color.

"Happy Birthday, Inari-kun," Kagome tilted her head to the side, "and Merry Christmas."
