A/N: Story sets a few weeks after the events in Legion Mate.
"Aichi, are you awake?" Emi asked as she knocked on the door to the boy's room. Seeing as she didn't get an answer, the girl decided to enter the room only to realise that the blue haired boy was still sleeping peacefully on his bed.
"Aichi, it's time for you to wake up!" the girl shouted, walking over to the bed before proceeding to shake the boy.
This proved to be effective since the blue haired boy groaned before opening his eyes slowly only to see his younger sister with a hand on her hip and a glare on her face, "Good morning, Aichi." She said dryly.
"Good morning, Emi." He responded with a yawn.
"Geez, you're already a second year at high school, don't you think you should be waking up by yourself now?" she said, shaking her head, causing the boy to chuckle.
"Sorry about that, Emi. Guess I was just feeling very tired today."
"Fine, just make sure you get down for breakfast otherwise it'll get cold." She said, closing the door, leaving the boy alone in his room.
The boy slowly got up from his bed before looking around at his room. While it had already been a few weeks since the memories of him and everything else that had been changed was restored, but everything still felt different for him.
At least he'll have plenty of time to get used to it again.
'Well in any case, better get ready before Emi gets at me again. She's terrifying when she does.' The bluenette thought to himself as he grabbed a fresh pair of clothes as well as a towel as he headed for the bathroom. However, before entering, he reached for his deck that was located on the table before pulling out the top card from said deck, revealing the unit who would loyally follow him until the end, Blaster Blade.
'I can't wait to see what's in store today!'
After getting himself ready, donned in his Miyaji High School uniform, the boy began walking downstairs to the dining table where he saw his mother and Emi eating and a tender smile formed on the boy's face. No matter times it's happened, he would always enjoy the moments he gets to spend with his family.
"Morning, mom!"
"Good morning Aichi! I see that you look energised for the day." She smiled after getting a nod from her son.
"Yeah, I guess you can say that." Aichi sat down in his seat and couldn't help but drool after detecting the smell of freshly cooked bacon wafting through the air.
"Not energised enough to wake up on his own though." Emi muttered which caused the blue haired boy to chuckle sheepishly.
The two proceeded to eat their breakfast while watching a pre-recorded romantic-comedy show that Emi enjoys watching.
"Aichi! Emi! You're going to be late for school if you don't leave now!" Shizuka shouted from the kitchen.
"Alright!" the two yelled as they quickly put on their shoes and left the house.
As they walked, Emi began talking about the contents of the show to her brother. While he wasn't exactly interested in the show, he did pay attention to his sister's talks, otherwise he'd be in trouble…
Basically in the latest episode of the show, the main protagonist of the show decides to reveal her feelings to her crush via a love letter that she placed in his shoe locker, and Emi was clearly gushing over the romantic gesture the show had to offer.
While he had seen plenty of scenarios where that happened, the blue haired boy never felt anything towards it. After all, it wasn't like it was going to happen to him anyways.
That was when Aichi noticed a turquoise haired girl standing ahead of them. She looked to be around the same age as Emi and was wearing same uniform as her as well.
"Guess this is where we part." He said and Emi turned to the direction he was looking at and saw Mai waving her hand at her.
"I'll see you at the shop, Aichi!" Emi said, waving at him before she ran to where Mai was waiting for her.
Aichi waved back before carrying on his walk. However, he wasn't heading straight for school, rather he was heading for Card Capital to pick up Misaki so that the two could head to school together.
Despite the silver haired girl being a year older than him, their schedules were still somewhat similar enough that school starts around the same time.
It took him a few minutes before he finally arrived at the shop. Upon realising that the girl wasn't out yet, he decided to step into the shop to greet the shop manager inside who was busy sweeping the shop before officially opening for the day.
"Good morning Shin." The boy greeted with a smile as the shop manager looked up from his task to look at the boy.
"Ah, good morning Aichi! Misaki should be done soon." The green haired man smiled before Aichi turned his attention to the cat on the counter.
"Good morning to you too." Aichi petted the cat who purred happily under the boy's touch.
Misaki yawned tiredly, as she walked down the stairs to the shop.
"Morning Shin." She greeted before stiffening upon seeing the blue haired boy who was also in the shop.
"Good morning, Misaki." He greeted the girl with a smile and the girl could feel her face begin to flush after seeing the smile which always brightened up her day.
"G-good morning." She responded before swiftly exiting the store.
"Ah, wait for me!" Aichi proceeded to chase after the girl.
As they walked, the two began sharing about whatever was happening in their respective classes which resulted in some laughter and groans depending on the topic.
"It still feels a bit weird being back after so long." Aichi suddenly brought up, reminding Misaki what had happened just a few weeks before.
While she couldn't remember who he was, it was an absolute torture knowing that he wasn't there.
"If you ever do something like that again, I'll make sure to hurt you so that you'd never do that again." She threatened causing the boy to chuckle uneasily, knowing full well that she'd actually go through with it.
"I'll keep that in mind."
Halfway through their trip, they bumped into Akari who proceeded to join them, and let's just say, she brought a whole lot more energy to their conversations.
After arriving at the school gates, Aichi decided to separate from the two,
"I'll see you at the club, Misaki." Aichi waved with a smile before proceeding to walk off. All the while Misaki's eyes were glued to the back of his retreating figure.
Akari smirked after seeing this, and nudged her friend which helped snap her out of her minor trance, "What?" she asked.
"So when are you going to confess to him?" Akari asked, causing Misaki's eyes to widen as her cheeks started turning red.
"I-I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't have any feelings for Aichi." The greenette sighed after hearing her answer.
"You know you should really be more honest with yourself. Who knows, maybe someone will snatch him right under your nose? I mean, he is a pretty decent looking guy." Misaki decided to not respond to her friend as the two walked over to their classes.

Aichi entered his classroom and despite already being second year, the teachers decided to let them reuse their first year classroom after claiming that there were too many new students.
As he walked over to his seat, a nostalgic look appeared on the boy's face upon seeing the empty seat near the window. After all, if everything went about normally, it would belong to Kourin. A special person in his life, and one he would never ever forget either.
After sitting down and placing his bag at the side of the table, Aichi realised that there was something underneath his school desk.
Pulling it out, the boy's eyes widened when he saw that it was a heart shaped stamp on the letter.
"Good morning people!" Naoki greeted with a massive smile on his face before realising that Aichi had his back facing him. Out of curiosity, he walked over towards him.
"What you got there, Aichi?" Naoki asked, looking over the boy's shoulder before his eyes widened upon seeing the letter in his friend's hands.
"Wait Aichi is that a…?"
"I have no clue. I just found this underneath my desk just now."
"Well read it then!" the boy pushed.
"I probably shouldn't. What if it wasn't for me?" Naoki resisted the urge to face palm at his friend's naiveté.
"Aichi, I really doubt they'd make such a simple mistake. Besides, isn't your curiosity eating at you to open it?" The blue haired boy couldn't help but admit that he was indeed curious about the letter. Meanwhile, his hot-headed friend decided to return back to his seat so that he could chat with Shingo about the new booster packs that would come out later this week.
'It's such a surprise seeing them being that close.' Aichi thought with a fond smile, recalling how back then the two would argue with one another like cats and dogs each day.
Deciding to turn his attention back to the letter, a tint of red dusted across his cheeks at the thought that the letter was actually directed towards him. Never in his life would he imagine that one of those romantic-comedy scenes that Emi watches, would actually happen to him of all people.
After much consideration, he decided to open the letter before proceeding to read the contents of it,
Dear Aichi Sendou,
I know that this is not the most courageous way to reveal such a feeling, but at the very least I hope that this will attract your attention.
You may not know who I am, but I know who you are. In fact, we actually shared the same school for the past three years and I've watched all your matches, from the Regional Championships to the High School Championships.
For so long I have hesitated to reveal my feelings to you, but now I have gathered the courage to take this first step,
I like you Aichi Sendou.
This feeling blossomed the first time I saw you play at the Regional Championships and I was in awe of your performance.
And after pondering for a while, I have decided that I would no longer hesitate in this regard.
Thus, if possible I'd like you to meet me behind the school gym for your response.
Sincerely,
After reading the letter, Aichi's face resembled that of a tomato. He genuinely felt touched that someone would go so far to write such a heartfelt message to him.
However, the question now is…What was he going to do?!

After another day of endless lectures from the teachers, quizzes that she was confident she'd aced with her photographic memory, Misaki Tokura sighed for what seemed like the umpteenth time as she stared at her deck. Currently she was in the Physics Prep Room, which was also where the Cardfight Club would go to for their club gatherings.
However, she was the only one in the room which made her feel rather uncomfortable due to the quietness.
Ever since everything returned back to normal, the Student Council have been joining their club meetings. Not to ensure its shut down like last time. Instead, they would always come over to battle, and it made Misaki wonder when and why they had a sudden interest in Vanguard.
Whatever the case, each day got a lot livelier than it was before.
"Yo!" Naoki greeted with a smile on his face as he slid the door open.
"Hey there Naoki, Shingo." She greeted the two before realising that there was a lack of a blue haired boy in the group.
Where's Aichi? Wasn't he supposed to be with you guys?" Misaki asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well…" Naoki and Shingo looked at each other, contemplating with themselves whether to tell the silver haired girl or not.
After all, they knew about the girl's not-so-hidden crush on Aichi, in fact, they were sure everyone knew about it…of course everyone excluding the boy in question.
"Well?" She pestered as she crossed her arms.
"Well… Aichi got a love letter asking to meet her behind the school and he's probably heading there now." Naoki responded rather awkwardly, avoiding her gaze.
Misaki could only stare at the two boys, who shivered under her gaze, the two of them bracing themselves as they expected her to freak out.
"I see…" she responded before turning back to her deck while both Naoki and Shingo stared at each other in confusion.
"Uh, Boss Lady, are you alright?" He asked.
"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?"
"N-never mind." The two decided to place their bags aside and start a match, leaving the girl alone to her thoughts.
'Why am I feeling like this…?' she thought to herself. Something like that shouldn't bother her, yet it was. Suddenly conversation she had with Akari early that morning suddenly came to mind,
'Who knows, maybe someone will snatch him right under your nose? I mean, he is a pretty decent looking guy.'
'No…who he ends up with shouldn't bother me at all!' the girl thought to herself, trying to ignore the sudden pain she felt in her chest. Yet no matter how hard she tries to deny it, it was obvious.
She was in love with Aichi Sendou.
While she should be happy if he does get together with that mysterious girl, she couldn't. The feeling of not being with him hurts too much.
But she knew better than to interfere with someone's confession. After all, why ruin other people's attempt when she had been too much of a coward to do so?
(Line Break)
'I really need to calm myself down.' Aichi thought to himself as he walked over to the designated place like where the letter had said. Placing his hand on his chest, he could feel his heart beating heavily like a drum.
Throughout the entire day he had been wondering what to do with the confession. Should he turn her down? Or should he accept her? He didn't want anyone to get hurt which caused him to be in his current dilemma.
Finally, after arriving behind the school gym, there he saw a girl with coffee-tinted hair, with equally dark eyes accompanied with her pale white complexion.
"A-Aichi Sendou!" the girl exclaimed, and the moment she saw him as a tint of red dusted across her cheeks.
"H-hey there." He replied, just as awkwardly, scratching the back of his head as he looked at the ground.
'Damn it…this is really awkward!' he thought.
"Um, Sendou-san…" she called out, making him look up to face her.
"I know I already mentioned this in letter, but…Aichi Sendou, I really like you. Please go out with me!" she said, her eyes shining hopefully as she awaited the boy's answer.
Aichi clenched his fists tightly as he closed his eyes. An image of a silver haired girl appeared in the boy's mind before he opened his mouth to give his answer.

While Naoki and Shingo were battling each other, they couldn't help but look away from their match to the silent girl who was looking out the window. While they wanted to bring her to the conversation, they couldn't approach her.
"You think we should do something?" Shingo whispered.
"What do you have in mind?" Naoki whispered back as the two began brainstorming.
Scenario 1
"No! How could I lose?!" Shingo cried out dramatically, slamming his head on the table.
"Hah! Now that I've beaten Shingo… Misaki, I challenge you to a Cardfight!" Naoki exclaimed, pointing at the girl.
"Please, Misaki. You need to avenge my lost to this novice!" Shingo begged with hopeful eyes.
"No thanks, I'm fine." She responded, without even turning towards them.
The two boys could only stay in their position as a tumbleweed blew past them.
Scenario 2
"You're an idiot! How could you fill your deck with just Critical Triggers?!"
"Hey, if it works, it works."
"In order to play at a good level you need a well-balanced deck. Clearly you need some major help." Shingo chastised.
"Yeah you're right… hey Misaki do you think you could give me some pointers to fix my deck?" Naoki asked with a smile, his deck in his hands.
"No thanks, I'm fine." She responded, without even turning towards them.
Once again, the two boys could only stay in their position while a second tumbleweed blew past them.
'This isn't working!' the two thought with a sigh, before deciding to opt for their last option.
'Please get here soon, Aichi.'
Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
The doors opened, revealing the captain of the Cardfight Club, "Hey there everyone." Aichi smiled, before he took a step back in shock when he realised both Naoki and Shingo appeared right in front of him.
"So, what happened? Who was she? And did you accept her confession?!" Naoki instantly bombarded the boy with questions.
"Well, I don't feel like it'd be right of me to tell you who she is, and as for her confession…" Both Naoki and Shingo leaned closer while Misaki bit her lips as she awaited the boy's answer.
"Yeah I had to reject her." Aichi rubbed the back of his head causing both boys to sigh in relief.
"Now that's a relief…" He muttered causing the blue haired boy to stare at him in confusion.
"Hmm? Why is that?"
"N-nothing, you know how Naoki is, always rambling like an idiot." Shingo exclaimed nervously while elbowing said redhead roughly.
"Y-yeah, don't mind me. Come on, let's go and Cardfight!" Naoki said pushing the boy inside.
While he was suspicious of their acts, he decided to shrug it off.
Meanwhile, Misaki couldn't help but sigh in relief at the result. Yet, the awful feeling in her chest had yet to disappear.
While she was relieved that the boy rejected the girl's confession, who's to say that he won't be confessed to again? Also, what are the chances that he'll refuse them all?
Since she was facing an internal battle, she was unaware to the pair of blue eyes staring at her.
Once their club meeting ended for the day, the four decided to head over to Card Capital to carry out their day of Cardfighting. According to Miwa, he and the others, which included Kai, would be heading there after class as well, which excited the group.
As they were walking, Aichi noticed that Misaki was being quieter than she normally was, and she even had a forlorn expression on her face. He wasn't sure about Naoki and Shingo, but they were probably unaware due to them being in front of them while talking to one another.
"Hey you guys go on ahead, we'll catch up with you later." Aichi said, and while Naoki and Shingo were confused, they merely shrugged and decided to carry on walking, leaving Aichi and Misaki alone.
"Let's go for a walk." He said, getting a silent nod from the girl.
As they walked, the blue haired boy would stealthily turn back to look at his long-time friend, only to realise she had the same look on her face since they first exited the school.
The two made their way over to a local park before proceeding to sit on the swing sets.
With no one but them in the park, an awkward silence filled the air.
"So, could you tell me what's wrong, Misaki?" Aichi asked, finally breaking the silence between the two.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She responded in a monotone causing the boy to sigh.
"Come on Misaki, we've known each other for years now, do you really think I wouldn't know when you act differently?"
"So please, could you tell me what's wrong?" he asked with a concerned look on his face and Misaki knew that she lost. After all, the boy was rather persistent when it comes towards helping his friends.
"I was worried." She admitted which caused him to raise an eyebrow.
"Worried?"
"Yeah, I was worried that if you accepted that girl's confession…that would mean you'd spend less time with us." The girl said with a slight blush. While it wasn't the exact reason behind it, she wasn't exactly telling a lie either.
The boy only sat there silently, as if processing the girl's words before releasing a small chuckle, "Whether or not I would've accepted her confession I don't think I'd ever want to spend less time with you all."
His blue orbs stared into her lilac ones, "To me, you all are way more important."
His words resonated with her heart before she released a chuckle, "You know that answer would most probably get you dumped?"
"Really?! Huh, if that's the case then maybe I'm not cut out for this whole dating thing." He chuckled sheepishly before getting up from his seat.
"We should probably head back to the shop or the others would get worried." Misaki proceeded to get up as well.
"You're right about that." Sighing when she thought about her uncle overreacting when she felt someone grab her hand.
"Come on, let's go to the shop!" he said with a smile as he held her hand gently and began walking forward.
The girl began to blush when she felt the warmth of his hands as she allowed herself to be pulled by the boy.
While she does wish that the two of them could progress their relationship…she was also happy with the moments she gets with the blue haired boy.
Later that night, Misaki slept peacefully as she hugged her pillow tightly with a massive smile on her face.
