Hello friends! I hope you like my new story. Remembering that I don't own the characters, this is just the fan-to-fan story.

The plane took off and Steve and Catherine were still holding hands. Catherine kept her eyes closed and her head reclined on the seat. Steve looked at their joined hands and then looked at her. He still didn't believe that she was actually there beside him. "Are you awake?" He asked in a low voice.

Catherine smiled. "Yes I am." She opened her eyes and looked at him with a loving look.

"So, where are we going?" Steve asked her.

"Well, the plane is going to New York. As for us, tell me where you want to go and we will be going together," Catherine replied.

"I don't know where I want to go, Catherine. I just knew that I needed to go, no matter where."

"Well, I have an apartment in New York, we can stay there until you make up your mind," Catherine said.

"Of course, I'm in no hurry. I feel like I now have all the time in the world, although that's not true." Steve raised her hand to his lips and kissed it.

Steve lowered his hand again without letting go. "We travel like this when we return from North Korea."

"I know, I remember it very well. So many things that happened between the two of us, however small they seem, are too big to forget," Catherine told him.

"I agree," he said and Catherine just nodded.

"And when we went to Afghanistan I surprised you at the airport, and today you surprised me in the same way," he continued talking to her as if he were thinking out loud.

"Tell me how are you? I don't want to talk about me right now, let's talk about you," Steve told her.

Catherine was about to start talking when Steve's phone vibrated again.

Catherine smiled. "I'm pretty sure it's Danny."

"You know what he's like, he's going to call me every half hour. In fact, it's not even half an hour since he texted me," Steve told her.

Catherine was happy to talk to him. The other times she was in Hawaii, after the separation, they had not really spoken, that is, they had not spoken as they had when they were together. She knew it would take some time for full trust to be restored and the simple fact that he was talking to her was very good.

"Aren't you going to answer him?" Catherine asked.

"No, it's not urgent," Steve replied. He thought that if he wanted a new start with her, he would have to do things differently this time, and that included more attention and priority.

"Ok." She smiled again.

Steve thought about the times he went out with other women and when he looked at them he only saw Catherine's smile, even though she wasn't there. How many times, in the hour of love, did he keep silent so as not to say her name to the wrong person. It was only then that he realized that it made no sense to try to forget her, she would always live in his life wherever they were.

And her being there, beside him, on that plane was the most pleasant surprise of his life. She needed to know if she was forgiven and he wanted to know if he would be enough for her now. Steve looked around and noticed that some passengers were asleep and others kept their eyes closed listening to music. He released her hand and put his hand on her face. "Come here." Steve pulled her to him and was going to kiss her, but stopped a few millimeters from her mouth.

"What?" She asked anxiously to find out why he stopped.

"I can't do that right now, I kissed Eddie," he replied.

"Eddie?" Catherine asked.

"Yes, Eddie, my dog." He didn't want to kiss her after he kissed a dog.

Catherine smiled and pulled him towards her. "I'm not jealous of Eddie."
