"I knew you were together…" Maya started before someone cut her off.

"What? You knew?" Travis asked Maya. "You told her about this?" he was now addressing Andy.

"I…" Andy did not have the time to finish her sentence.

"She's my best friend. It was easy to notice if you know her well enough." Maya explained.

"And what made you notice?" Travis asked.

"It's the little things. The way they look at each other, the longing glances…Oh, and do I have to remind you that the chief actually gave me command so that he could go and save his girlfriend…Or wife, I guess." She was staring at Robert straight in the eyes when she got to the last part of her sentence.

"Um…Yeah…" Robert scratched the back of his head, not sure what he was supposed to answer to that.

"I'm still mad at you about that!" Andy exclaimed, moving on her chair to face her husband.

"We'll get to that later." He answered her with a half-smile, gesturing to the group in front of them with his head.

"Anyway, tell us what happened." Started Vic. "Wait, you knew about that captain!" she told Herrera.

"I did." Replied Andy's father. "She's my daughter. I had to give her away."

"Right." Vic said, satisfied by her former captain's answer. "Now, girl. Talk." She turned back to Andy, pointing a finger at her.

"I…Um…" Andy smiled at Robert. "It just happened. There's no reason, no real explanation. We just fell in love."

"What, no juicy gossip?" inquired Travis.

"Nope, sorry." Andy was open to sharing some personal information about her private life. She was not talking to strangers these were her closest friends. But it did not mean that she wanted to give them the detailed version of her love story with her Battalion chief.

"When did you get married?" Jack asked next.

"A few weeks ago." Said Sullivan.

"Why weren't we invited?" Dean asked.

"Well…" Andy was looking for the right words to use.

"It all happened fast." Robert came to her rescue. "We were talking about getting married, and the next thing we know, I'm standing at the altar, waiting for Andy and Pruitt."

"Are you sure you made the right choice?" inquired Ben.

"That was my initial reaction." Pruitt joined in.

"Dad!" Andy said in a pleading tone.

"What? I did say he was a good man…I just didn't understand the rush…" he raised a finger at her when he saw that she was about to interrupt. "Until you gave me your point of view. When you explained the reasons to me, it made sense." He finished with a smile.

"So…" Warren really wanted them to answer his question.

"We don't regret getting married, if that's what you're wondering." Robert said with confidence.

"Andy?" Ben asked.

"I don't regret it one bit. It was…fast… But we thought about it long and hard. Told Robert I didn't want to get married just to check a box on a HR form, or…" she stopped dead in her speech, risking a glance at Vic. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt her friend.

"I get it." Vic said to reassure her friend, giving her a sad smile.

"It just felt right." Andy finished, trying to suppress the big happy smile that was forcing its way on her face.

"So…Is the interrogation done?" Robert asked hopefully.

"Almost…When's the party?" Travis asked, a big smile on his face.

"Whenever you want to…" Andy answered, letting out a deep breath.

"Congratulations, guys." Dean added.

"Yeah, we're happy for you." Continued Maya.

"You look happy." Jack added.

"Thank you."

"It means a lot. I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner." Andy and Robert spoke at the same time.

"It's ok…As long as we get a great party to celebrate!" Vic reassured with a smile.

"I guess it means you're moving out…" Jack told Andy in a teasing tone.

"I'm sorry you'll have to look for another roommate." Sullivan replied.

"You could always come live with us." Dean started.

"We could do with an extra pair of hands to take care of baby Pru." Vic finished.

"Yeah…Let me think about that." Jack answered, grabbing a drink on the coffee table. "Let's toast!" he said, moving the conversation onto another subject.

"To the happily married couple!" he said, once everyone had a drink in their hands.

They all joined in and started talking about other subjects. The atmosphere was lighter and even Andy and Robert managed to relax a bit. Their friends had welcomed the news much better than they had expected. They could not wish for better friends, for a better family.

A few hours later, everyone had left, leaving Andy and Robert alone in their house. They had just finished cleaning the kitchen and the leaving room and were now getting ready for bed. Andy was brushing her teeth when Sullivan crept up behind her, putting his hands on her hips, pulling her close to him. She spat into the sink, rinsing her mouth and drying her face before speaking.

"You have to stop doing that. It's creepy."

"Sorry, couldn't help myself. You look cute being all domestic here." He smiled at her in the mirror.

"It's not the first time I sleep here. We're married remember?" Andy said, turning in the embrace to face him.

"I know that. Everyone knows that, now." He replied teasingly. It felt so good to finally be able to say that, to have their relationship, their marriage, out in the open.

"Yeah…I'm happy we told them." Andy smiled. "I don't know how much longer I would've been able to keep this secret."

"Now, it's done… Care to join me in bed?" as he was speaking, Robert swept her off her feet, holding her bridal style in his arms.

Andy laughed while he walked the short way between the bathroom and the bed. He deposited her gently on the bed, not so elegantly plopping down beside her.

"You shouldn't do that with your leg…" Andy scolded in the softest voice.

"Don't worry about me. I wouldn't do it if I couldn't."

They got settled into the bed, immediately cuddling up to each other. Andy rested her head on his chest, listening to the soft sound of his heartbeat. It was lulling her to sleep, aided by the way he drew small circles on her arm. They stayed silent some time, enjoying that quiet moment together. Andy was almost asleep when he broke the silence.

"So, we have a party to plan."

"Yes, we do."

"They have high expectations."

"Don't let yourself be fooled by those guys. They're just teasing. They'll be having a good time anyway." From where she was laying, she could hear his heartbeat pick up a bit. She moved her head up to look at him. "Hey, it's ok, don't worry." She kissed him softly to emphasize her point. It seemed to shut him up. Tomorrow would be another day; they could focus on that later. Right now, was a moment just for the two of them.

"I love you." Robert said in between kisses. It earned him the most beautiful smile and a whole lot of kisses. "I love you too…Very much so." Andy answered back in between kisses.

They could talk about that party later, was Robert last thought as he let go of all his worries and bathed in their little bubble of love.
