We are in the process of moving and I found this old dream journal from 2017-2018. I flipped through the pages and found this one entry about a dream I had about Gohan and Pan based on the Tsufurujin situation during GT. Anyway, I thought that I'd try writing a little one shot based on it. So, here we go.

Pan walked amongst the crowd of people in West City, a red hood from her jacket over her head to keep from being noticed, and couldn't believe how everyone could be okay with this whole dilemma. They were going about their lives as normal while Baby controller them like puppets without free will. How could the people of Earth be so willing to follow Baby's every whim? Didn't they know what he did to that one space ship full of innocent people? Or how he controlled the body of a young boy and a doctor all in an attempt to kill her, her friend, and her grandpa? It made her blood boil at what this parasite had done. He had ruined the homecoming for her, Trunks, and her Grandpa Goku by getting to Earth before them and taking control of the entire planet, including their friends and family. Her first moments reunited with her parents were spent in confusion and tears as she tried to protect herself from her Father and Uncle's blasts that could've killed her had it not been for her grandpa. And now he was...Pan didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to think about how she lost her Grandpa Goku. She just got him back and now he was gone from her life again.

There's gotta be something I can do, She thought to herself as she mixed in among the crowd. Pan had found herself separated from her Grandpa Hercule and Buu but thought it would be best to be away from them. She planned to try and do something about all this and the last thing she wanted to do was put her frail grandpa at risk. Buu could protect him while she dealt with Baby.

As she walked, Pan noticed a bunch of people crowded together in front of Capsule Corp. She squeezed by people to make her way to this group. The closer she got, the more she noticed that the crowd had cameras and microphones, meaning they must've been the press. And where there was the press, there was a celebrity. In this case, Pan could figure out who it was.

Getting in as closely as she could, Pan slipped by the media frenzy and made it to a spot where she could see what was going on. She saw Baby standing there with Bulma by his side at a podium of sorts. Bulma stood proudly at the podium and the thought of Bulma actually enjoying this made Pan's stomach twist in knots. Bulma was her Grandpa Goku's oldest friend and yet here she was, proudly standing next to the parasite that not only killed her friend but also took over her husband's body. It had to be because of Bebi's egg. No way would the real Bulma be okay with this.

"Attention, everyone," Bulma spoke, cameras and microphones being pointed in her direction. "As most of you know, the process of migration to our homeworld has begun. However, this does not mean we shouldn't remain vigilant."

A murmur of confusion went through the crowd in hushed tones. Pan was also a bit confused as she tried to figure out what Bulma was talking about.

"Despite our best efforts in eradicating the Saiyan scum entirely, there is still one left alive," Bulma spoke once more. "We need to apprehend her at once. If anyone finds Son Pan, you are to bring her to Lord Bebi immediately for judgement."

As the press started pressing for questions and flashed pictures towards Baby and his Queen, Pan slipped to the back and let everything sink in. She was wanted among her own people. She was a criminal even though she knew for certain she was on the side of good. The worst part about it was that her family, her own mother and father, were being manipulated by this scum and would probably follow his orders. Pan realized she was in over her head. What could she possibly do against Baby anyway? She didn't have the power to fight him, not like her grandpa Goku, or even her Dad. She was outclassed in every sense of the word.

What do I do? She thought to herself. Unconsciously, Pan didn't notice it but she started hugging herself. She had no one there to comfort her. She was all alone.

As questions were being asked and answered, Baby took notice of the girl in the red hood in the back. He knew as soon as he saw her that something was off. "You there!" He called out and pointed to the hooded girl.

Pan gulped as she realized she was caught. All eyes turned to her and she felt like the whole world was watching her (Which it probably was). Her legs started shaking as sweat poured down her back. There wasn't going to be an easy way out of this.

"Who are you?" Baby demanded to know, hatred laced in his voice.

Standing there with everyone staring at her, Pan suddenly felt a sense of adrenaline rush through her. She knew that things were bleak, but who was she? She was Son Pan, that's who! The granddaughter of Son Goku and the daughter of Son Gohan, Earth's mightiest defenders. She couldn't cower in fear in the face of evil. No, she had to rise to the challenge and stand proud in her own strength and conviction.

With a quick flick, Pan grabbed hold of her jacket and threw it off to reveal herself to everyone. She glared Bebi down and stood tall as he sent a glare her way. "I am Son Pan!" She shouted with anger. "And I am not scum!"

Baby smirked as he looked down at who he believed to be the last member of the Saiyan race. This was perfect; she saved him the hassle of tracking her down. And here she stood before him trying to act brave and strong while he knew she didn't have the strength to lay a scratch on him. "Get her!" He ordered his subjects.

Looking around, Pan noticed that everyone was now glaring her down with eyes glowing red. She was surrounded on all sides but luckily for her, they were all regular humans. She could easily get away no problem. Just as they all went to pounce on her, Pan jumped into the air and used her ki to stay afloat and out of reach of the people. She looked over to Baby and gritted her teeth as he stood there smirking at her.

With a quick move, Pan flew straight at the Tsufurujin and threw a punch at him. However, he caught her fist with ease and quickly threw her to the ground like she was nothing. It was so fast that it gave Pan momentary whiplash.

She quickly got up to her feet and got in a fighting pose reminiscent of one her Father took while fighting Cell. However, she noticed that the people had backed away from her and weren't going in for the capture. Even Baby himself wasn't going near her. What? Pan thought. What's going on?

"Pan," A voice from behind spoke.

It seemed like the world was in slow motion as Pan turned to the person who had called her. Her heart sank yet also skipped a beat when she saw who it was that had called out to her; it was her Father. He stood out from the crowd and only a few meters from Pan. His normal sweet and kind demeanor was replaced with a look of malice in his eyes and a wicked smirk on his face.

"I'm glad to see you again, sweetie," He continues, his voice sounding off too. No longer was it full of comfort and love like it normally was when he spoke to her. It just felt so...cold. "You're mother and I have been worried about you."

Pan hadn't realized it until now but tears had been rolling down her cheeks. She just stared at her Father, trying to comprehend how the man who had been there for her through thick and thin was being controlled and twisted into this heinous being. If he could only see what he's become, how he's turned to the side of evil by such a wicked being, maybe he'd realize what was happening and snap out of it.

Unconsciously, Pan started moving towards Gohan. It started out as small steps but soon she found herself sprinting. It wasn't long before she was right before her Father and she wrapped her arms around his waist and held onto him tightly. "Papa," She sobbed into his shirt.

At first, Gohan couldn't help but smirk. The Saiyan girl literally walked into his arms without a fight. He had her right where his master had wanted. Now all that was left was to finish her.

He reached down, getting ready to go for her neck when the girl's hands flew up and grabbed onto his. This stunned Gohan at Pan's actions. This wasn't a block or anything like that; she simply and gently took hold of his hands. Pan looked up at Gohan with the tears still running down her face. "Papa, please don't do this," She begged, her voice cracking as she looked him dead in the eyes. "I know you're stronger than this. You're my Papa, the man who beat Cell and helped protect the world from evil for so long. You can't let Baby control you. Please, fight back!"

For some reason, Gohan found himself unsure of what to do. A part of him was screaming in his head to finish her off while the other part was telling him to stop what he was doing and realize what was going on. His head was beginning to hurt from this confusion he suddenly felt. "I...I..." He stuttered as he hands kept opening and closing in costs around Pan's hands. Why was he so hesitant? This should've been an easy call for him, right?

"What are you doing, you fool?!" Baby shouted at Gohan, his impatience coming out. "Either you finish her off or I will!"

"Papa, don't!" Pan cried as she squeezed Gohan's hands.

"I...I..." Gohan couldn't think straight. His eyes kept flashing between red and black as he looked down at Pan. Why was this so hard for him? His master was telling him one thing, but his heart was telling him another. One moment he saw Pan as this scum that was part of the monsters that wiped out the Tsufurujins, but in another moment, he saw his little girl that he adored since the second he held her in his arms. This confliction in his head sent Gohan to his knees as he tried to sort everything out. Pan got down there with him, hoping that staying close to him would jog his senses right.

While this was going on, Goten and Trunks landed right next to Baby and watched the scene unfold before them. Goten was disgusted that this little Saiyan was having such sway over his brother. He decided to step in. "I'll just kill the little pest myself!" He shouted and threw a powerful energy beam Pan's way.

The people scrambled and Pan didn't have time to move. She was frozen on her knees as the beam came right for her. She closed her eyes and waited to feel the impact of her Uncle's blast. Instead of a blast though, she felt arms wrap around her in a tight embrace. When she looked to see what had happened, she found Gohan had quickly grabbed her and turned to take the blast instead of her. He held her tightly as the dust settled and the wound on his back was revealed to be a seething burn from the attack directly hitting his back. He hissed through gritted teeth at the strong beam burn.

"Gohan, what the heck?!" Goten growled after realizing what his brother had done.

Slowly, Gohan released Pan and stood to his feet. He stood in front of Pan and for the first time in a long time, Pan could see this spark of good in her Father's eyes once more. "Pan," He muttered under his breath. "Get out of here, now."

Pan was surprised. Was this really her Father? Or was this some kind of trick? How would she be able to know for sure?

"WHAT DID I SAY?!" Gohan turned and shouted at his daughter who was taken aback by this sudden anger in his voice. "GO NOW BEFORE I LOSE WHAT LITTLE SENSE OF REASON I HAVE LEFT!"

"O-Okay," Pan stuttered as she got to her feet and took off for the air.

Goten and Trunks tried giving chase but Gohan blocked them from going after her. "You...won't hurt her!" Gohan gritted through his teeth. He was struggling to maintain control for as long as he could. He just needed to stay lucid enough for Pan to have time to get away. If he could do that, then Pan would be safe. Pan, hurry, He thought to himself. Get as far away from here as you can.

As she flew away, Pan looked back to see her Father trying to buy her the time she needed to escape. She wiped the tears from her eyes and continued as fast as she could. Slowly, she could sense her Father's energy disappear and in its place she felt that evil presence that she felt when he was under control before. I have to get stronger, Pan thought as she went down to hide her energy just in case someone gave chase. She waited a few minutes before going on foot to the hideout she was staying at with Buu and her grandpa. It's the only way I can help Papa and everyone else.

And scene. I know this isn't an update for the Son Squad, but I'll get on it after these next few days of projects and papers are done. Hope you guys enjoyed this one little one-shot. Have a good days, guys! Keep washing your hands and social distancing.
