The forest was damp in the morning light. The trees and their branches only let so much of the sunlight through to the ground below. Bushes rustling as small creatures and large creatures both moved throughout the quiet start of the day. A medium sized wolf having found a sleeping woman to sniff.

The canine's nose burying itself in the woman's odd, cat-like ears before licking at it. That being what it took to wake the woman who nearly roared as she clawed at the wolf, scaring it away. Her eyes not having even adjusted to her surroundings as she quickly found her footing. All of her senses having been heightened in this alert state… Catra being curious about where she could even be.

She had been with that girl that Adora was always with, the… glittery one. Her end was almost a certainty before both her and… Glimmer, that was her name, had been beamed up onto a ship. Right, she placed a hand on her head as the gloom of being stuck in space with yet another tyrant came back to her. The moment scaring her so much that she even stuck her neck out just to keep Glimmer safe from Prime.

But now she was here, her nose stuck up in the air as she tried to get a familiar smell of any kind to come to her. All that came to her though were the smells of this forest, and none of it reminding her of anything or anyone that she was used to. Looking around for a moment she walked through some bushes by pushing it apart. Her eyes falling onto a small bed of unremarkable flowers… was she dreaming?

As she walked through this mysterious forest her ears picked up on the different sounds it offered. Small bugs were everywhere, while small animals ran about the ground and up in the trees above her. Her eyes moved to a squirrel that was carrying a nut back to its home. A bunny in the same area as it hopped away into a bush to likely hide from the cat girl that was much larger than her. No… this couldn't have been a dream.

So… if she wasn't dreaming there were now several questions that were flooding her mind. The first two being how she got here and whatever place this even was. Even if she couldn't recognize the smells in the forest she could recognize the smell of a human. Her nose and head moved about as she sniffed the air for any sign of one, or at least something that told her there was some kind of intelligent life nearby.

After moving around for a few minutes and nearly getting frustrated with the lack of results, the smell of… printed paper and a hardback book came to her. How odd it was that this was all she got. However it was lead, so she didn't waste any more time and headed right in that direction. Picking up a bit of her natural speed as she felt more awake.

Then as she got closer to the smell it became obvious what this smell was bringing her to before she even saw it. The smells telling her exactly what her eyes showed her, a little girl who was sitting by what looked like a natural path in an opening of the forest. She was hugging the book that Catra must have smelt while crying softly. Her expression of distress and the fact that no one was around her suggesting that the small girl was in some way lost.

Unsure of what to do, Catra watched the girl from the shadows for a little longer. The scene not changing at all as she just continued to hold this book to her chest while sitting there and crying to herself. Sighing, the Cat girl adjusted the headpiece on her head and checked her outfit to make sure it wasn't too roughed up. This wasn't her best or cleanest look but at the moment this might actually help her.

"Hey," The words nearly croaked as they left Catra, "it's okay. I'm here.. I can help." She just forced words out of her that sounded like something that Adora would say. Or at least what the Adora in her own head would say as she stepped out and slowly approached the girl. Who, of course, gave her a worried look as sounds of panic left her as she tried to back away.

"I won't hurt you." Catra looked down, moving down to one of her knees as she placed her hands down on the ground. Trying to keep herself from coming across as threatening to the eyes of this girl. Moving her eyes up to the girl she formed a smile, it having been an easier action than she thought. "I'm Catra… and I'm lost too."

"I'm not lost!" The girl seemed to gain a lot of confidence quickly, having gotten defensive about what Catra had said. She moved up to her feet, still holding the book as she just stared back at the woman. It was possible that she hadn't seen anyone with cat-like features before… outside of herself Catra didn't know of others like her. "But I'm Zentha."

"Zentha… then what's wrong? If you aren't lost?" She too moved up to her feet. Now being much taller than the girl in front of her. Her shoulders relaxed as she made sure to not scare the girl in any way.

"I'm just… scared. I…" The small girl, Zentha, looked back at the trail in both directions before facing down one in particular. "I got separated from my parents back in town. And I've never walked home alone."

Something about that seemed off to Catra. "So… your parents just left you behind in town?"

"No. They took me to school, bu-but I didn't want to stay! I've never stayed in town without them!" A town? That could be helpful to her right now. This girl would only be able to give her so much information but if she could run into some kind of official in town she could get some real information. This could be just what she needed to get headed back in the right direction, whatever direction that might be.

"Well, come on. I'll get you back to town." She did her best to sound nice and sincere to the child. Walking over onto the path and motioning for the girl to follow.

"No! I want to go home!" Zentha stomped down in the dirt as she stubbornly put her foot down. Catra had to keep her from twitching as she wanted to just walk over and drag the girl by her collar. First she found her crying and scared, and now she was willing to stand her ground to someone that was willing to help her. Even though she knew she could just leave this girl behind, Catra didn't want to just leave her out here like this.

"Listen, kid. I want to help you. But I can't just waste time. Getting into town can help me get to where I need to be." She wasn't really lying either. The sooner she knew where she was the sooner she would be able to get herself out of this mess.

"You won't be!" Zentha blurted out, though as she recoiled and looked down she looked like she doubted what she just said. She really was desperate to sMy tay as far away from that school as possible.

"Oh yeah, how so? Like I said, I'm lost out here. And I don't think walking further out into this forest is going to help me anytime soon."

She could see the gears turning in the girl's head. Her trying everything in her little head's power to come up with something to convince Catra that taking her home was a good idea. "My parents. They'll help you and my dad's really smart. He travels all over, he'll be able to give you the same kind of information that the town could. And if you help me get back they'll be nicer too, they'll have a reason to help you.

She couldn't help but smirk as she listened to the girl ramble on about why she should walk her home. Even for her young age she knew how to bargain and offer what someone would want and make sure that she had the leverage. Did her innocent mind look at it that way? Probably not, but since this girl tried so hard to convince her Catra shrugged and walked by the girl on the path that apparently headed out to Zentha's home. "Alright, alright. You have me convinced, we'll try it your way."

"Yes! You won't regret it." The girl's spirits were much higher now, her shoulders moving back and forth as she seemed to leave the ground with each step. Catra wasn't much of one for kids and this was definitely something more up Adora's lane too. However, after everything she had been through in the past few months… helping a little girl didn't seem so bad.

"So… where on Etheria are we?" She looked down at Zentha who gave her a weird look in return. Almost as if she had never heard the name of the planet before.

"Etheria? Is that a faraway town?"

Catra stopped walking which stopped Zentha, who looked back at her new acquaintance. Surely this was just some misunderstanding and that she just hadn't been taught this yet. She did run from school after all. "Etheria is the planet we're on."

The girl giggled, however, shaking her head. "You must really be lost, Catra, the planet's name is Lonerth."
