TRIGGER WARNING: This is an M-Rated fic and so may deal with some very heavy stuff at certain points. Know that in continuing to read any further than this, you are proceeding at your own peril.
Okay all, welcome to my second OC story, On the Horizon's Edge, which takes place approximately three thousand and some years before the Battle of Yavin. This story will be told from the perspective not just of the Jedi, but also the Sith as well, created and sent in primarily by all of you. The timeline of the story will span around twenty-three years, dating from the Sacking of Coruscant to around the start of the Third Galactic War. I will also be dividing each section of the overall story by books like I've seen some other authors on this site do. So for instance, the first book will encompass the Sacking of Coruscant and it's aftermath while the second will cover some of the eleven-year-long Cold War that immediately followed.
Ground Rules
1. No flames. I do not mind and in fact love getting constructive criticism, but I don't really think anybody aside from sadists like being insulted all that much. You may not think so, but your words can and may indeed have a pretty big effect on other people, so always be mindful of that.
2. This is less of a rule and more of a guideline, but please review. You would be surprised how much these mean both to myself and other writers, so even if you haven't done it before, please consider leaving one for each new chapter after they're posted as soon as you can. If the chapter doesn't contain the character you specifically created, it would still be nice to write at least a paragraph about your thoughts on what you just saw, as I want to know what my readers are thinking concerning what they just read.
3. Again, this story will encompass a period of twenty-three years, so keep that in mind when making a character for this story. It's almost guaranteed that they will grow and change as they age not just emotionally but mentally or physically as well. Thusly, if I'm sent a character who is around thirty by the time of the Sacking, they will be around fifty-three when I finally put this project down. That is if they survive, see Rule 4 for more details on that. Oh, also, don't forgot to put details about how they would age over the years in Appearance, otherwise I will consider it incomplete. That said, if they are a longer lived race like the Lanniks or Pau'uns who wouldn't change much over the years physically due to their increased life spans, then you will not need to write much about how they have changed in that way.
4. It must be reiterated that Character Death is a possibility with this story. I am sorry, but when you send a character to me, you must be prepared for the possibility that they will not make it to the end of the saga as our characters will be finding themselves in the midst of a war. In fact, they won't be in just one war, but several consecutive wars as time goes on if my understanding of the timeline is correct. As anybody would know, not everybody makes it back from war, even extremely powerful beings like Jedi or Sith. However, this is not a story where your characters are just going to be killed off on a whim or before they get any real development, so please don't think that this will be something I do lightly. Every main character death will have a purpose and/or lasting impact if everything goes to plan with no exceptions if I have anything to write about it. Likewise, when a character dies, that usually means somebody gets to take their place, and I'm usually inclined to give the original creator of the character I just killed priority in making the replacement as a sort of consolation for the loss. However, I will give it to somebody else if the creator doesn't respond or takes way too long in getting that character to me. I must also point out that even my characters aren't safe from being killed or horribly mangled, both as it should be and as you are about to find out at some point in the future.
5. I will accept reservations, but only up to a point. If you need two or three days to make a character, that's fine. Just let me know and I will set aside a spot for you, but if you take any longer and don't give me any updates on your progress or otherwise go completely dark on me, I will eventually give the slot to somebody else.
6. This should really go without saying but NO MARY-SUES! Writing utterly perfect, unbeatable characters isn't fun for anybody, including me. Much like any real person, the characters you send me should be flawed in multiple ways. I operate under the assumption that they are pretty powerful just as a result of being main characters, but they can and will be beaten by others, sometimes even rather easily, so please understand that going in.
7. The character profiles must be a minimum of three full PMs long but honestly should go much longer than that if you've thought this character out as much as I would want you to. Detail is extremely important to me, and I don't much like the idea of being forced to constantly hunt people down to ask them questions about what they've sent me. If you can cram everything you have to say about the character or characters into only one or two PMs, then it's more than likely they aren't going to make the cut. The ones most likely to be accepted are the ones who go above and beyond the call of duty, as I feel true effort should be rewarded, no? The Human submissions should be by far the longest and most detailed, if they want to be accepted, as the devil really is in the details where that is concerned.
8. I want aliens way more than I want Humans or Near-Humans, as one of the things that always bothered me about Star Wars is that they have this very rich and colorful setting with a wide array of exotic species to make use of, but that's rarely taken advantage of by canon aside from a few isolated exceptions, and even those usually aren't that far out there. Meaning no disrespect to my own species, but Humans are kind of boring in that they are basically everywhere. If I wanted to write about them, I would pick literally any other series and not even bother with this one, but I can't get Kel Dor or Twi'leks anywhere else, so here we are. As I want this to be my somewhat most daring project yet, I will be limiting the number of Humans I'm willing to accept to one and Near-Humans to only a couple. The rest should be the types you would never expect to be main characters. So please, send me your Wookiees, Trandoshians, Barabels, and Klatoonians, because that is exactly what I'm looking for. In an effort to further break away from my other story, I will also not be accepting certiain Near-Human races that I'm already using in my other story, because I want you guys to send me characters from all kinds of different races rather than a select few. I will further detail the list of acceptable races at the very bottom of this profile.
10. Being a flawed character doesn't necessarily mean that they should also be kind of bad at following the tenants of the Sith or Jedi respectively. Your character can be a near model Jedi or Sith, and still be inherently flawed, and while I do want some characters who have the potential to switch sides, I also want some who will almost certainly stay with whatever Order they are a part of from beginning to end. I'd specifically like to point out that many characters I've encountered thus far struggle namely with attachment in some way or another, and while I understand that it's a common struggle overall, it shouldn't always be the be-all, end-all of your character. Many Jedi suffer loss and still stay as a part of the Order while the Sith are known to actively kill the people they care about to grow even stronger with the Dark Side, so I'm only going to accept so many characters who struggle with attachment or would switch sides because of the death or persuasion of someone they care about. The best characters will have personality flaws or do what they do for reasons which don't rely solely on their feelings towards the people around them.
11. Be creative with your character or characters, as I'm almost certainly not going to accept characters who are basically just Obi-Wan, Anakin, Sidious, Revan, and so on with different names. Even if your character is from the same planet, there should be basically no similarities in the backstory. Again, obvious, but I feel it needs to be said.
12. No legacy or bloodline characters. I don't want any Shans, Kenobis, Skywalkers, Windus, and the like. These characters have to be completely original in every way.
13. Don't be cliché. I don't want a lot of 'I'm the sole survivor of my family/group of friends/community ' stories and the like. If your character wants revenge on somebody, up to and including even another main character, it needs to be for both a good reason and preferably not a very common one. If you have an storyline idea that's rarely found in Star Wars, than feel free to field it to me. Otherwise, it better have a pretty great twist if it's something we will have heard before.
14. Because I want everybody to have a fair shot at getting at least one character in, I will be limiting everybody to two or three accepted submissions each. If you send me a submission but I don't accept it, don't worry, I won't count it against you and you can try again until I either run out of slots or you do. I don't count side characters such as friends, a Master, or parents, so feel free to go a little wild in making supporting characters.
15. Everything about the character needs to be in-line with their species, genders, appearances, and the Star Wars universe in general. I will not accept a character who is an alien race but who has a human name for instance, or who have physical attributes which they should not possibly be able to have. Regarding the special abilities some of those races do or don't have, I will mostly be going by canon rules concerning what they're capable of, but that may change at my discretion for the sake of ease in storytelling.
16. A couple of pairs of characters may be related to each other, but only with my blessing and that of the other creator if it's their character you want yours to be related to. That should be the only reason I have two of any species, because otherwise I want the race of almost everybody to be different. Due to Rule 13, I will not allow any parent or grandparent and offspring duos, but siblings or half-siblings, uncle/aunts and nieces/nephews, cousins, and so forth are fine. I'm also fine with you sending a character who is related to one of mine, but just PM me beforehand as a heads-up, and to make sure nobody else is already doing that. I may allow one more related pair, but that will take some persuasion on your part, so be prepared.
17. The age rules are kind of weird on this one, at least to start with. I will get into that more in the actual profile.
18. This is more of a request but aside from the two I've already made, two of my other slots will be taken up by characters which myself and another person will kind of make together in that I will provide some of the details but they will be responsible for everything else. Regarding the two characters I need, I need either a Togruta or Twi'lek female for the Jedi and a Dathomiran Zabrak Male for the Sith. Both must be within the age range of 4-6 at the time of the Sacking of Coruscant, and must be either the same age or the girl can be slightly older. These two will eventually be trained by my characters who are respectively of the corresponding Orders, so keep that in mind. For the sake of fairness, I will not count whoever takes the time to make one or both of them against the slots allowed. So you can make one and still have two slots. Same deal if you make both. I also will not be counting the races as being taken after they are made so one more Twi'lek/Togruta or Dathomirian Zabrak may be made, but rules on familial relatability still apply.
19. I will be parodically updating this chapter list once I've accepted a character, so please check up here every now and again to see what's been accepted, how many slots are left, and so on. This info will also be viewable on my profile.
20. No Dark Jedi, Non-Force Sensitives, Revanites, or otherwise Unaligned Force Users. All the characters have to be aligned with either the Sith or the Jedi at least at the start, and if they go rogue from one but reject the other, it should be both a major plot point and a very rare occurrence in that it shouldn't happen to more than one or two characters, and not for an extremely good reason. Remember that if you want that to happen your character or characters, there will be consequences both in and out of story, not all of which may be ideal by any stretch of the imagination.
21. Being aligned with one Order does not necessarily mean their ranks will always be inhabited by one type of person. There can be bad Jedi and good Sith, but they would be Mavericks in their respective Orders, and I think I've already made it clear that I don't want tons of Mavericks. Of course, I also don't want everybody to be By-The-Book either. Generally, the best mix would be an about equal combination of the two, with half being rather malleable in what side they're on while the other half is quite stalwart in their stance and leanings.
22. Remember that the cast can be antagonists in regards to each other just as much as they are protagonists in their own right. This goes for both within the Order and in regards to the opposite one. You want to send me a psychopathically murderous Sith Lord who obliterates innocents for kicks and team kills likes it's going out of style? Go right ahead. You desire to create a dogmatically self-righteous Jedi Master who holds nothing but disdain for those who fail to live up to the Code and basically has no sense of humor whatsoever. You have the green light. Again, not all of them should be like this, but one or so for each side would be great.
23. For Lightsabers, Lightsaber Colors (for the Jedi specifically) and Lightsabers Forms, I don't want everyone to take almost the same thing. I get that there are only so many combat Forms to choose from, but it's not a lot of fun for me to describe two characters who fight in almost the same way all the time. If everybody has a single saber which is mostly the same color and all use Form VI, I will start asking people to change what they've selected, so be prepared. Remember to look at the list before you decide on what you want your character to use, as the best way to avoid a change is to look at what other people are doing and then trying to do something different. Obviously, there are only seven lightsaber forms, so I won't be trying to make everybody completely different as that would be rather impossible, but I will be trying to make it so that everybody fights a little different.
24. Regarding Form VII, I will allow only two or so Jedi to practice it, but there will be no restrictions on the Sith characters having it barring instances in which that conflicts with Rule 23. I don't need a particular reason for why a Jedi would specifically know Form VII as with my other story, but I do think that with it's dark leanings, the Order still would have been hesitant to teach it to anybody and everybody, hence why the number is still small.
25. I will allow usage of the Crossguard Lightsaber, but only one Sith character may have it.
26. I reserve the right to put a character on hold if I'm not hugely sure about them and want to see if anybody comes up with something better. I'm willing to be kind of lenient and flexible about what I take early on, but if we get to the mid-to-late stages and I still don't have the kind of spread I want, I will become far more picky in who I accept. If we've reached that stage and you aren't sure if the character you want to send me will be accepted, PM me and I'll tell you what I still need.
27. After I get all the characters, I will probably release some little personality descriptions on each of them so that all of you who decided to submit can tell me how you would react to and treat them, so please be prepared for that as a sort of follow-up question.
28. This story will tie-in with my other story, Tendrils of Darkness, Shields of Light, so you may want to considering popping over and giving that story a little love if you are feeling so inclined.
29. As with your OCs weapons designs, your lightsaber or lightsabers must be completely original and not the weapon of anybody from Canon or also from Legends. While I can accept it if you take inspiration from a certain lightsaber, it can't be completely the same in any way whatsoever, and must be a design that is mostly or fully your own.
30. If you have any questions, please feel free to write to me. I'm always happy to answer what I can.
31. The rules are subject to change.
Alright, now let's get into it!
OC Submission Profile
Name (Remember, the name must be befitting the species of your character and the Star Wars Universe. Unless they are a character which generally only has one name, such as a Wookie, I will require a first name and a last name.):
'Darth' Title (Sith only. If your character is a Sith Warrior or Sith Lord, here is where you write the name they have taken upon becoming one. It should basically be something along the lines of 'Darth such-and-such'. If your character is a Sith Apprentice or otherwise hasn't graduated to this level yet, just write what it would be if they do make it to this level. For Jedi, either write 'N/A' or write what it would be if they turned.):
Age (How old are they in the year 3653, when the Sacking of Coruscant happens? For Padawans and Apprentices, they must be between the ages of 14-16. Knights and Warriors must be between the ages of 22-29, and Masters or Lords will be aged 30 and up. You can also submit Initiates and Younglings who would be aged 4 at the very youngest and 13 at the very oldest. Initiates and Younglings wouldn't have personally fought in the Sacking as they would have been too young, but if they were Jedi Younglings in particular, it's likely they probably saw some stuff. These are for species that have lifespans which are close to a Human's however, so if you are submitting a longer lived character like a Wookie or Lannik, PM me beforehand so I can tell you what the age ranges for them would be.):
Gender (Easy enough. As with my other story, I would prefer an even spread of males and females):
Species (For what is acceptable, please check the species list below):
Homeworld (Where do they originally hail from?):
Alignment (Choose from either the Jedi Order or Sith Order):
Appearance (Eyes, hair color as well as hair and beard style if applicable, skin texture, skin color, height, weight, build, notable facial features, blemishes and scars if they have any, cup size if female. All of that and more should be written here. Spare no expense in details, I want to be able visualize how this character looks in my head based on your description):
Personality (I need at least three paragraphs for this part of the profile to be acceptable, but I would prefer for you to write more. Anything less, and I'm almost certainly going to write back to tell you that I cannot use this character. If you've done a good job on it, than it should be a cinch to use it to fill out the strengths and flaws below. Be extremely specific about your character. I. Want. Details. If you can give me a lot of those and you've followed all the rules, your character is probably a shoe-in. Likewise, if there are there any big changes in the personality from how they were when they were Initiates/Younglings to how they will be when they are older, write it here.):
Character Strengths (Minimum of four, using one-word character descriptors. Try to be creative with your word choice, and don't use words like Intelligent or Strong, because lots of people are Intelligent or Strong, so that doesn't really tell me anything.):
Character Flaws (Minimum of four with one word descriptors, same as above.):
Backstory (Tell me everything about your character's life up to the Sacking. Include some details about where they are from, how they were found by either Order. What were they like growing up? How did they do in classes? Is there anything in particular that happened to them growing up? If so, describe those events from inception to conclusion. Have they always been part of the Order they are a part of now or were they part of the other Order prior to joining their current one. Keep in mind that most Sith Initiates did not and do not have happy childhoods, as they are taught to embrace their hatred or anger early on, and one of the most effective ways in getting them to do that is to torture them physically, mentally, and emotionally. Keep in mind that this story is M rated, so if your character is Sith or in some cases, a Jedi, you can make it so that they have gone through some horrible things. I should make it clear now that I don't want any heroes or champions, your character or characters can't be massively famous or widely respected, so I don't want any stories in which your character did something incredibly heroic or noteworthy. Again, be wary of clichés. I don't want 'sole survivor stories' unless that have extremely interesting twists and even then, know that you are taking a huge gamble. I also don't want many 'I turned to the Dark Side because a loved one died or I feared a loved one would die', just like I'd rather not have a lot of ' I turned back to the Light Side because of the encouragement or intervention of someone I care about' stories. Your character is not Anakin Skywalker, so don't give me stories that read like his please. Keep in mind that there are many different types of Jedi and Sith, and not all of them have the same moral restrictions as your character may, which may in turn have influenced their decision making. In the same way, a dissatisfaction with the Order may have lead a fledgling Jedi to fall in with the Sith, just as the revelation that what they suffering through is horrible abuse may lead a young Sith to try and find shelter in the Light and with the Jedi. Of course, in the latter example, keep in mind that children generally wouldn't know it's abuse if it's all they've ever known for their entire lives, so you would need a reason for them to see it that way rather than just writing something like 'all of a sudden, I realized this was bad' as that kind of reasoning in general won't cut it with me. There are all kinds of reasons for one person to change sides, you just need to be creative about it. In general, this entire section should take up almost all of a single PM):
Relationships (People that have had a considerable impact on your character's life up to this point aside from your character's potential Master. This should include notable early age instructors, best friends or confidantes, and even notable rivals or adversaries. Include full names, what species they are, what they look like, what Order they are apart of, and personalities as well. If you will, think of these as kind of like abridged mini-profiles, which they kind of are. I will need at least three per OC submission profile, and each must be around a paragraph and a half minimum. Generally, I don't want parents and siblings or other relations either, unless they are also a main character. If they are dead, describe how they died or would die and how that affected your character.):
Opinions on… (ALL of these should be at least a paragraph at the bare minimum. By now, I'm sure you get the sense that I won't accept just one or two lines as an explanation except under very specific circumstances. For the Sith and Jedi, remember that you don't need to hate each other to fight, and the Jedi very specifically aren't supposed to hate. It is possible even if you don't like the enemy to respect them as a whole in some way. Likewise, even if you don't like the Order, it's still possible to like individual members.)
The Jedi (Both the Order in general and the Code they follow. Here specifically, I don't want all Jedi who disagree with the Code in some way or another. It's more interesting if I have some who think it's perfect the way it is or even think it should be even more strict. I want an even spread in beliefs if possible.):
The Galactic Republic:
The Sith (Both Order and Code, as with above. Same as with the Jedi, try to have a somewhat unexpected take on this in general.):
The Sith Empire:
The Revanites (Regarding both his followers and Revan himself. Okay, I understand that tons of people like Revan, but it's important to try and separate your personal feelings from those of your character. Remember that both the Sith and the Jedi considered him to be a traitor to their respective Orders, regardless of how good his reasons were. Furthermore, by the time they actually show up, Revan and his followers will be little more than shoddy and pale imitations of what they once were as they became more and more like a Cult of Personality dedicated solely to Revan. If I remember reading it correctly, I recall that even Revan himself eventually realized what they'd become and left them feeling disgusted, only returning shortly after he took a turn for the worse. I don't want tons of people who like him and only a few who sympathize with him, so your character better have very good reasons for liking and/or feeling positively about him. Of course, everybody can't love Revan, so there may be a point where I'm going to start asking that characters feel differently. I'm especially interested in characters, who detest and don't sympathize or agree with him or his beliefs in any way. And if your character does understand why he did what he did or thinks what he thinks even if they don't like him, it should be followed up with a calm and rationed argument as to why he was fully wrong in their eyes. As with those who like him, I want a reasonable argument as to why your character doesn't like him.):
The Eternal Alliance (When they are formed. Why would your character feel the need to join? They could go into hiding or even try to go their own way, so why would they join up? In doing so, how would their opinion change about the Jedi, the Sith, and their respective former ways of doing things? Would your character begin to feel that it would have been better to have a united Republic if they were Sith or one Empire if they were Jedi? How would they feel about working cohesively with those from the opposite side and what kind of person from the other Order would your character find themselves willingly or unwillingly drawn to and most agreeable or disagreeable in working with? I don't always want a Sith going for the most conflicted Jedi or the a Jedi going for the most peaceable Sith. Rather, there should be some rather high-friction relationships in which both are drawn together, but have entirely different views on the almost everything and live entirely different lifestyles. I will also be using these questions to help dictate how your characters would behave during the Revan Arc.):
The Eternal Empire (When they show up.):
The Force (How willing to use the other side would your character be and how intensely does your character believe in their own current side? Is the other side unnatural and otherwise wrong to your character, or do they feel that both sides exist for a reason and that they cannot always have one without the other. Even if they abhor the Dark or the Light, do you feel it's existence has a purpose? Do you think one side is more powerful than the other? If so, why? Also, how does your character feel about Dark Jedi and independent Force Sensitives? Are they revolutionaries trying to pioneer a new and innovative way of using and living alongside the Force or are they are pack of arrogant imbeciles who use this way of life to justify their own heinous actions and fail to understand that the Force is not something they can just assert total control over without any repercussions whatsoever? Everything about your characters feelings towards the Force should go here.):
Views of... (Let me make it clear that I don't want anybody who is personally friends with any of these characters or even knows them very well, so I'm looking for more opinions on their reputations and what they've done. Maybe you've seen them around in some cases depending on who they are and what faction you are a part of, but no more than that. A full paragraph at the minimum, please.)
Grandmaster Satele Shan:
Jedi Master Von Zallow (I understand that this character doesn't have a very long shelf life, so for once, I'm willing to cut the opinion of this character down to a couple of lines. If you think you can write more however, than go ahead):
The Sith Emperor/Vitate/Valkorian (This guy has many masks and a long reach, so this one should probably be the longest of all of them. For once, it's okay and perhaps even encouraged for everybody to hate this guy even if you are or were part of the same faction, so no worries about that. Aside from that, write of your character's feelings about what he's done or will do, and any emotions or feelings tied to him like fear, respect, rage, or pity. It's okay not to like this guy even if you are a Sith yourself, so don't feel pressured to write good things about him just because he's the head of your character's Empire and eventually another one.):
Darth Malgus:
Darth Marr:
Darth Revan:
Order Rank (Choices for Jedi in order from lowest to highest are Youngling, Padawan, Knight, and Master. Choices for Sith in order from lowest to highest are Initiate, Apprentice, Warrior, and Lord.):
Robes (Describe what your character typically wears while carrying out their duties as a Jedi or Sith. Do they like the 'typical suit of battle armor and aligned robe' or do they wear something more traditionally Jedi or Sith without the armor. Describe the colors, but remember that they need to be generally aligned with your Order, so I'm expecting many reds and blacks for the Sith and more browns and creams for the Jedi. If your character has a more acrobatic style which requires being limber, flexible, and quick, than it's okay if what your character wears is skintight and perhaps a little revealing as with the types of clothes worn by Ashoka Tano or Aayla Secura presuming they are female, but I won't take anything tasteless or outright ridiculous. Generally, the Sith females can wear scantier and even more revealing clothing than the Jedi, but again, only up to a point. Be sure to describe both a Jedi outfit and Sith outfit just in case, and of course, this story is going to be long, so if you have more than one outfit, feel free to share it.):
Outfits (Optional - Anything else your character might wear or change into in certain situations or as time goes on? Describe them here.):
Lightsaber Hilt Style (Choices are... 1. Single Saber, Regular or Curved - 2. Duel Sabers, either both Full-length, one Full and one Shoto, or both Shoto - 3. Double-Bladed Lightsaber - 4. Crossguard Lightsaber, Sith only and just one. - 5. Greatsaber, which are for Wookiee, Feeorin, Trandoshan, or other strong/giant OCs only - 6. Lightsaber Pike, only two OCs may choose this):
Lightsaber Hilt Description (Tell me what your lightsaber or, if you're duel wielding, your lightsabers look like. Be as specific as possible in doing so and don't leave anything out. As per Ground Rule 29, it must be mostly or fully an original design.):
Lightsaber Color (Jedi may pick from Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, or Indigo. Sith will mostly be Red, but I may allow a couple to take Orange. If your character is Sith, you can mention what color your character would change to if they joined with the Jedi.):
Lightsaber Combat Forms (Choose two from the Seven Canonical Lightsaber Forms which your character would apply to combat. Order them so that the first is your dominant Form while the second is the backup. Also, give reasons as to why your character chose these Forms. Recall that while all Forms have one strength or another, they also all have great weaknesses, so choose carefully.):
Master (This is ONLY mandatory for the Knights, Warriors, Masters, and Lords. If your character is a Padawan, Apprentice, Initiate, or Youngling, DO NOT fill this out. Instead just write NA. For everyone else who has a character of a higher rank by the time of the Sacking, think of this as kind of like an extension of the relationships, in that I want your Master's full name, title if they are a Sith, species, appearance, and personality. What kind of relationship did you have with them and them with you? Anything that changed that in some way? If they are dead, than how did they die and how did that effect you? Remember that not all Sith absolutely have to be abusive Masters just like not all Jedi have to be especially good ones, up to a point of course, as the practices used encourage certain types of behavior.):
Breaking Point (What is the limit your character can be pushed to before they begin to feel disillusionment with their Order and even fall to the Dark Side or turn to the Light Side. Be creative and imaginative with this, as I've already written that I don't want it to be for reasons that have been beaten to death by hundreds of fanfics besides this one beyond a certain point. I will accept that a couple of times for a couple of people, but not everybody can have basically the same reason, and especially not predictable ones. Likewise, while I want a couple who are very susceptible to turning, I also want a few who are incorruptible in terms of allegiance and will stick with the Order they've joined no matter what, so while saying that your character doesn't have one won't be acceptable, I still want you to emphasize in this case that even if a particular situation you may describe to me in which your character may feel compelled to leave or turn does come to pass, it still is unlikely to shake your character enough for them to almost certainly do so. As I've mentioned, I want a mix of dynamic and static characters.):
Other (Anything and everything that you have not told me at this point should go here, including fears, hobbies, habits, likes and dislikes, ambitions, favorite things, plans for the future, the works. Do not skimp here, because this part is as much about making your character humanized and relatable as the personality section is, and I will almost certainly need copious detail to write some of the scenes which I may wish to.):
Romance (First, a yes or no question as to whether you are okay with your character being used in this way. If yes, then describe the describe the type of person they would like both physically and personality-wise, and how open they are to dating other races or if they have any preferences in age ranges. Keep in mind that at least half the cast is alien, and I tend to think that given how advanced this civilization is even this far back in time, it seems kind of shallow to limit oneself to dating only other human-like races, at least up to a point. So yeah, I would prefer open minds people! I don't want any romantic relationships between only Jedi at the start as that will instead be something that I intend to have happen over the course of the story. I will be far more lenient in regards to Sith however, as they have no such restrictions. Just remember that the Jedi aren't supposed to love and Sith affairs are not known to end well, so I can't promise a happy ending by any stretch. And of course, Sith/Jedi couples are almost guaranteed to take place at one point or another, so be prepared for that possibility if you write yes, but still be sure to write if you prefer your character to date in their own Order or if you would be fine with them finding some love in the other one. Furthermore, I want no more than one or two Main Character/'NPC' romances, as it's easier for me to keep track of it if I keep the dating pool limited to other Main Characters. Finally, I know I especially suck at romance, so don't expect impeccably grand and sweeping love stories. Just letting you know.):
Storyline Ideas/Requests (So, the thing about such a long timeline is that I have a lot of leeway to insert a sort of sandbox element in the story and play around with plenty of ideas or storylines which I couldn't do with the other one, but the downside of that is that I'm just one person and have a limited amount of ideas as to what I want to do for this story, so that's why along with the character submission, I want all of you to come up with at least three storylines for me to use with your character, but I would prefer if you have beyond just three. Don't be afraid to spitball ideas with me, and if you come up with any more even after the submission, it only takes a quick PM for you to let me know and perhaps change some aspect of the story forever. In some ways, you guys have a lot of chances to be very interactive with this story, so please take full advantage of that. If it could plausibly work, it's more than likely I will make use of it later.):
