Things went from bad to worse for the group. Not only was a conniving spirit of chaos on the loose and the Elements of Harmony missing, but the ponies had failed to find them in the labyrinth. Now they were face to face with the being responsible for messing with the balance of Equestria, Discord.

Sora wasted no time, lunging at Discord with Keyblade in maw. With a snap of his claw, Discord encased Sora in a magic bubble, stopping his assault. The caramel pony widened his eyes and flailed in place, desperate to escape and attack the chaos god. Said god laughed at Sora's expense, laughter that offended Pinkie Pie.

"What are you laughing at?!" Pinkie demanded, moving her scowling face close to Discord's face.

"Nothing," Discord lied in jest, "it's just U ponys are the most Fun Ive had in eons!" He chortled to emphasize his point, further infuriating Pinkie.

"Well you better stop it right now!" Pinkie threatened.

"Ha ha..." Fluttershy teased, making Pinkie mad enough for a confrontation, just as the former wanted. While the two of them started arguing, Applejack approached Rarity.

"Say, Rarity, Twilight was sayin' that we should split this diamond seven ways, since we found it together," The farm mare's lies were cut short when Rarity lunged forward with a karate kick, launching Applejack away.

"Keep your filthy hooves off my diamond!" Rarity roared, "He's MINE. ALL MINE!"

"Everypony, please," Twilight tried to diffuse the situation, "We need to remain calm and stick together," But her pleas fell on deaf ears. Fluttershy was still antagonizing Pinkie Pie, Rarity was still threatening Applejack, and Sora was still flailing inside his bubble.

"Oh, this so entertaining,," Discord said, sitting in a lounge chair.

"Shut up, Discord!" Twilight exclaimed, "You aren't playing fair!"

Discord spit out the burnt popcorn he was eating, "Uh... excuse me¿ Have you even Met Me?" He conjured two flashing neon arrows above himself, "Hello; Spirit of Chaos? Remember?"

Twilight glared at Discord as he lounged in mid air, "How are we supposed to find the Elements of Harmony when you took away the labyrinth before we could reach the end?"

Discord bulged his eyes out, "Wait, did you—" He began to chuckle softly, then he chortled, then he cackled, then he roared in laughter. Once he was done with his guffawing, he snickered at Twilight, "There not in the labyrinth."

Twilight's pupil's shrunk, "What?!"

"i never said they were in the labyrinth, did i?" Discord snapped his claw, transporting himself and Twilight to a flashback of the stained glass hall.

"Twists and turns are my master plan. Then find the Elements back where you began."

Twilight was transported back to reality to see Discord sneering at her, "Told you." Twilight was in utter disbelief. The Elements were not in the maze, yet Discord set that game up anyway. He played the ponies for utter fools, and they fell for it, "OH, dont feel bad, Twilight;" Discord taunted, "keep trying. Say, how about you use the Magic of Friendship? I,m sure thatll work. Now, if youll eXcuse me, eye have some CHAOS to wreak," Discord teleported away, leaving the ponies behind. The bubble that held Sora in place popped, making him fall with a thud.

The gray caramel pony stood up and glared at Twilight, "What's wrong with you?!" He yelled, "How could you just let Discord get away?!"

Twilight scoffed in offense, "Excuse me?! What did you expect me to do?"

"I don't know: anything?" Sora groaned.

"Sora!" Twilight confronted, "You know we need the Elements of Harmony to stand a chance of defeating him! We need to find them!"

"Well, figure it out already! It's not like anyone else is helping!" Sora shouted, storming off. Twilight puffed her checks. She couldn't believe Sora just said that to her. Still, as much as she hated to admit it, Sora was right about one thing: the others won't be of much help now. It was up to her to solve the riddle, for real this time.

"Think, Twilight, think!" She rubbed her hoof on her forehead as she repeated Discord's riddle over and over in her head, "Find the Elements back where you began. Back where you began," Twilight tried to concentrate, but the constant bickering of her friends was distracting her.

"Don't touch my gem!" Rarity screamed at Applejack.

And then Fluttershy touched Rarity's rock, "I'm touching your gem, Rarity. Ha, ha."

"What 'chu laughin' at?" Pinkie threatened Fluttershy for her false laugh.

Twilight slumped in disparity, "Ugh. I just want to go home... Wait a minute..." Twilight uttered that last statement out of sardonicism, but something began to click in her head, and it made her excited, "Home! 'Back where you began!'" Twilight underwent the feeling you get when everything comes together: an epiphany, "The Elements must be in Ponyville!"

"Come on, everypony!" Twilight encouraged as she led the group down the dirt road to Ponyville, "I'm certain this is what Discord's riddle meant. We just need to get to the library and—" She was cut off when a stampede of rabbits with spindly deer legs, led by none other than Angel Bunny, trampled over her, leaving her heaped on the ground in a daze.

"Good work, Angel," Fluttershy complimented her pet, "Mama's so proud of you."

Twilight shook her head to focus her vision. When she did, she saw Sora trotting past her, not even paying her any mind. Twilight frowned in sadness. She knew Sora normally would help her up, but she could not deny what her eyes saw; he didn't care. Her eyes would not see anything as the day inexplicably turned into night. Everypony gasped in shock.

"Wow, I can see everything perfectly fine," Applejack tried to write off, having trouble seeing two feet in front of her. Her lie came to bite her as she suddenly felt a slippery substance at her hooves, making her fall over. Everpony toppled over, leading to a symphony of grunts from the ponies. Night reverted back to day, and the ponies received an answer to this phenomenon.

"Discord's turned our dirt roads into soap!" Twilight yelled. It was true, a trail of slippery, bubbly liquid made up the road. While she tried to adjust herself, Twilight looked ahead at her home, gasping in horror to see what had happened to it. Ponyville was hardly recognizable anymore. Pink clouds raining chocolate milk sporadically dotted the landscape. The ground itself was curving in unnatural ways, and was now a pink and purple checkered pattern. Buildings floating in the air inexplicably, and water was falling upwards.

"Do you like it¿" Echoed Discord's voice. Sora, who was flat on his stomach, shot up.

"Discord!" He yelled, "Show yourself, coward!" Then he slipped on the soap, making him tumble down with a grunt.

"Just 1 of the many changes i,ve made," Discord deliberately ignored Sora's demand, making the gray caramel pegasus growl in distaste.

While Twilight was taking in the nonsensical state of Ponyville, Pinkie slid past her in a figure skater's pose. Pinkie would seem like she was enjoying herself, but the scowl on her face said otherwise.

"This may look fun, but it's not!" She said. Twilight sighed. This was getting out of hand fast.

"Picture it, pONYVILLE; The chaos capital of the world," Discord's voice continued to echo.

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Twilight declared, rebalancing herself on the soapy road.

"Don't worry, you won't," Fluttershy sneered, flying by Twilight and intentionally tripping her hind-leg, making the purple pony fall on her stomach.

"Twilight," Sora scolded, "Stop fooling around and lets go," He flew off, leaving Twilight to groan to herself.

The group eventually did make it to the library, which was surprisingly untouched from all of Discord's nonsense. As they approached the tree turned building, Twilight addressed her friends.

"Okay, we made it to the library, now can you please, please, PLEASE go inside, please?!" Twilight gave a pained, pleading look, to which her friends payed no mind, other than Sora.

"Fine," Sora deadpanned, trotting to the door. Before he went in, however, he casted a stern and threatening gaze at Twilight, "This better be worth it."

Twilight was appalled that Sora said that to her in such a tone. As he went inside, the purple unicorn ground her teeth in anger.

"I absolutely refuse," Applejack said as she went inside. Strangely enough, as she entered the library, her colors dulled even more, turning into more pronounced gray shades.

"I hate Libraries!" Pinkie scowled, her colors graying as well when she entered the library.

Fluttershy flew by, deliberately stomping on the flowers by the front porch, rather cruelly. As she stomped, her colors grayed out.

Only one pony was left outside besides Twilight. It was Rarity, who was adamantly standing in front of her rock to defend it.

"Rarity," Twilight addressed, "Pleeeeease go inside! We need to hurry!"

"Not a chance, Sparkle!" Rarity glared, "You can't fool me! The second I go in, you'll have your little minion Spike steal Tom away!"

"Tom?" Twilight deadpanned, figuring Rarity was referring to her 'diamond.'

"Well I'm onto you!" Rarity threatened before she started to gingerly stroke 'Tom.' As she did so, her already dulled colors dulled even further, just like the others. Twilight simply looked at the now greedy and delusional fashionista with a blank and unamused stare.

"You're not going in without him, aren't you?" The agitated unicorn asked—Rarity nodded. Twilight groaned in annoyance, "Fine!" With that, Twilight lifted Rarity's prize for the second time that day.

Inside the library, Spike was curled up on the floor taking a nap. Next to him was a mop and a bucket of water. It seems as though he was cleaning the floor earlier but decided to take a nap, which turned into a deep sleep. His peace was interrupted when a certain pegasus took the bucket and poured water on the sleeping drake, waking him up abruptly and causing him to shriek.

"What did you do that for, Fluttershy?" Spike shrieked as he tried to warm himself up.

"Because you looked so peaceful," The cruel pegasus sneered.

"Wha... huh?" Spike put a claw to his chin in utter confusion. From what he understood about Fluttershy, this went against everything he knew. Surveying the room, he was everypony else, all grayed out and acting strangely. When he saw Twilight, who dropped Tom on the floor, the little drake ran up to her immediately, "Twilight, what happened? Why is everypony all gray?"

"Don't ask..." Twilight said plainly.

"Hey, Twilight," Fluttershy interrupted, "What's soaking wet and clueless?"

"Fluttershy, we don't have time—" Twilight was cut off when Fluttershy dumped the rest of the bucket's contents on top of Twilight, leaving her mane and coat matted down and soaking wet.

"Your face!" Fluttershy sneered cruelly, adding insult to injury by smacking the bucket over Twilight's head. Twilight levitated the bucket off her head, revealing the deadpan scowl on her face.

"Twilight, what's going on?" Spike asked in clear concern, "What's happened to everypony?"

"Ugh. No time to explain," Twilight levitated a towel to her to dry herself off, "We've got to find the reference guide to the Elements of Harmony before somepony does something he or she will regret!" She glared at the ponies she was currently contemplating were her friends. Twilight casted an especially venomous gaze towards Sora, who was standing on his hind-legs, leaning against a wall with his fore-hooves crossed and his face uninterested.

"The Elements of Harmony?" Spike repeated, "Oh, I know exactly where that book is," Spike climbed up a ladder and immediately picked out a book, Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide, "Found it!" His victory was short lived when Fluttershy swooped in and stoke the book from him.

"Hah!" The pegasus gloated.

"Fluttershy, you'd better give me that book!" Twilight threatened, slowly stomping towards the gray mare.

"Keep away!" Fluttershy said in a sing song voice, tossing the book to Applejack.

"Applejack, give me that book!" Twilight demanded.

"I don't have any book," Applejack said dismissively before tossing the book Pinkie Pie's way.

"Pinkie!" Twilight scolded the scowling mare before she threw the book back to Fluttershy. The pegasus blew a raspberry at Twilight, until Spike jumped in and snagged the book from Fluttershy, landing on the floor with a roll.

"I got it!" Spike declared, holding the book up, but then Rarity swiped the book from his claw.

"Mine!" She yelled, greedily holding the book close to her chest.

"Hey, do you even know what you just stole?" Twilight questioned in anger.

"No," Rarity admitted, "But if you want it, I want it!"

Twilight grinded her teeth heavily. She growled in anger as her rationale began to fade, giving way to emotionally charged rage.

"GIVE ME THAT BOOK!"

Twilight dived at Rarity, getting into a heated brawl with the marshmallow mare, a struggle so intense that dirt started kicking up. Sora looked at this scene from his wall and sighed in annoyance.

"Ugh, do I have to do everything around here?" He said with a roll of his eyes. Sora summoned his Keyblade and casted an aero spell, filling the room with a blustering mini tornado that threw Twilight and Rarity up in the air and blew back everyone else. Books flew around in the winds, scattering them across the floor. When the winds died down, Twilight was left on the floor in a daze. She forced herself into a more lucid state when she saw that, miraculously, the book she was fighting over was right in front of her. She rapidly fumbled to grab the book and huddled in a corner with said book held tightly around her chest.

"No!" Twilight yelled as the other mares surrounded her, with Spike standing guard with his mop, "This is my book, and I'm gonna READ IT!" Twilight opened the book, only to gasp in shock to realize it wasn't actually a book, but rather a case. And inside the case was none other than, "The Elements of Harmony! They were here the whole time!"

"That's great!" Spike said with a smile, "Now you can power up and defeat Discord!"

"Finally," Sora sighed.

"Look, everypony, we did it!" Twilight declared with a wide smile while levitating the Elements in front of her, "We found the Elements, together!" She looked back to her friends, disinterested to the whole prospect. The purple unicorn's heart fell. This was supposed to be an exciting event, but they were completely apathetic, "You don't care, do you?" She muttered. They all nodded. At that, the purple unicorn lowered her head in shame.

"Twilight?" Spike reached out in concern.

"I can't believe this. My friends—have turned into complete JERKS!" Twilight snarled, her face contorting into pure anger. She hastily and angrily attached each necklace to their respective Element bearers. Twilight finished by levitating her Element atop her head, "Alright, let's get this over with!" She proclaimed as she made her way for the front door.

"Twilight, wait!" Spike called for her, "Aren't you forgetting somepony?"

"Nope," Twilight shook her head, "We have the the liar, the grump, the hoarder, the brute and the loner," She glared at each of her so-called friends.

"But what about Rainbow Dash?" Spike pointed out. Twilight widened her eyes, that was true. They needed all six of the mares in order for the Elements to function. Twilight would have considered searching for Rainbow, but she was a rotten traitor and the purple unicorn was at her breaking point. Her eyes fell on Sora, who was impatiently waiting at the door. An idea struck.

"Congratulations, Sora, you're the new Rainbow Dash," Twilight informed, putting the necklace on him before he could react, "Now c'mon! Let's get this over with so that we never have to talk to each other again!" The mares seemed to grow ecstatic, trampling over spike as they filed out the door. Sora, meanwhile, was shocked that he now had an Element of Harmony, but he quickly shrugged it off with a sigh and exited the library. Only Spike was left inside, the small drake getting an uneasy feeling in his stomach.

"Oh, this is not gonna end well..." Spike uttered in dread.

"Discord! Show yourself!" Twilight demanded, she and the others standing in formation outside the library.

Right on cue, Discord appeared before the group, "You rang?"

"I figured out your stupid riddle, Discord!" Twilight declared.

"Oh no..." Discord half-heartedly cried, "You've found the elements: O well, i Know when im defeated," He conjured a giant target that hung from his neck by a chain, "gO on, fire away..."

"Alright, let's get this over with!" Twilight stated. She closed her eyes and focused all of her magic, willing the Element atop her head to release it's power. She and the others began to glow in a brilliant radiance as they began to levitate off the ground. At the apex of their power, the Elements of Harmony unleashed—nothing. The light faded away, leading to the ponies landing back on the ground. Twilight opened her eyes, her feelings a mixture of bewilderment, disdain, and foolishness. All the while, Discord smirked an impish grin, "What happened? The Elements didn't work!"

"Mine's working just fine," Applejack lied, tossing her necklace on the ground, "Yours must be defective."

"Garbage," Fluttershy dismissed, throwing her Element away.

"I hate the Elements of Harmony!" Pinkie yelled, shaking her necklace off.

"Oh, worthless," Sora sarcastically remarked, removing the necklace that belonged to Rainbow Dash and throwing it hard on the floor, "How wonderful."

"Mine!" Rarity yelled, picking up each necklace.

"I don't understand," Twilight said in disbelief. They had the Elements of Harmony. They should have been able to defeat Discord—right?

"Bravo; ponies; Bravo!" Discord mocked, clapping his hands together, "Harmony In Equestria Is officially dead. Discord rules, Celestia drools," Discord laughed maniacally as he vanished, reappearing half a mile away. Twilight growled in detest, infuriated that Discord got the better of her.

"It's your fault it didn't work!" Pinkie yelled randomly to no one in particular.

"Who are you talking to?" Twilight questioned.

"Any of you!" Pinkie growled, "ALL OF YOU! I'm outta here!" With that, Pinkie stormed off to Celestia knows where, leaving behind the ponies she once called her friends.

"I better go, too," Applejack began trotting off as well, "I've got new better friends waiting for me at the farm."

"Yeah! I'm sick of you losers," Fluttershy sneered, flying away.

Twilight felt her heart darken as she saw each of her friends leave, one by one. Rarity left as well, taking Tom and all of the discarded necklaces with her. After all that had been through together these past months, this was how their friendship ended. That thought was enough to make Twilight feel faint. What happened? How did it turn out this way? She was angry, angry at her now-former friends for how they had acted, how they treated her. She looked over to see Sora trotting over to where Discord was.

"What, you're leaving, too?" Twilight addressed Sora angrily. He didn't respond, he only continued to step forward towards his goal. Twilight puffed her cheeks in defiance as she chased after him, "What do you have to say for yourself, huh?" No response. Now Twilight was becoming furious, "Nothing to say? Can't say I'm surprised. You don't care about anything lately," Once again, Sora said nothing. Twilight began to grow dejected, "Sora? Sora! Would you please listen to me?!" Twilight begged, running up in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. Tears were threatening to fall down her face, yet Sora showed no sign of care. Rather, he seemed infuriated.

"What?!" He yelled, "What do you want from me?"

"What do I want from you?" Twilight cried, "Here's an idea, how about you talk to me? How about you try and say something that isn't confrontational? How about you show me some sign that you care! All day, you've been ignoring all of your friends! The only thing you care about is fighting Discord. What's the matter with you?! Why are you like this? Why don't you care? What happened to that caring pony who helped all of us with our problems? Where's the pony who actually cared?" Sora turned away and closed his eyes, his features distorting into a tight lipped scowl. Twilight could feel the tears spilling out of her eyes as she shouted, "ANSWER ME!"

Sora did not change his expression. When he finally looked back, it was with a cold and uncaring expression, "If you're not going to help me, then stay out of my way," He said, pushing her out of the way. The colors on his form dissipated into a lifeless gray as he trotted off. Twilight was left alone, tired and heartbroken. It wasn't long until her sadness subsided for anger.

"FINE! Leave! See if I care! I don't need you either! With a friend like you, who needs..." Twilight hesitated. Her anger subsided, leaving only sorrow left, "...Enemies."

Twilight lowered her head as the color drained from her body. A single tear fell on the ground, splitting in two, each piece no longer connected.

Sora marched over to Discord, who was filing his claw with his detached horn.

"It's time to end this!" Sora declared.

"Must U bee so dramatic?" Discord mocked, making Sora grit his teeth harder, "You really need two get iNTo the spirit of things; Sora. You know, when i was looking around you're memories; i was really inspired buy that WoNdErLaNd place you visited a bunch"", Discord stroked his goatee as he became lost in thought, "Or did U only actually visit It the 1 time¿ their's so much to keep track of in your head."

"You can't run away Discord!" Sora yelled, summoning his keyblade, "I swear, I'm going to wipe you from existence!"

"Wipe ME from existence?" Discord repeated, a snide smile creeping on his face, "funny, d'idnt you forfeit you're right to exist some time ago?"

"Shut up!" Sora huffed.

"Oh, but its' true;" Discord sneered, "'You couldn,t keep your friends From fall-ing to the darkness, so you thought to change Fate and re-right history itself. On top of that, U failed 2 stop Xeha-whosit from crystal-iZing that orphanED red—head you like so much. And thEn you defiEd fatE yEt again, giving up your own ExistEncE so that shE could livE. What was It that you said two the old coot?" Discord than spoke in a perfect imitation of Sora's voice, "A real leader knows that destiny is beyond his control, and accepts that." Discord casted a glare at Sora as the former's voice returned to normal, "Butt you wouldn,t accept fate if it didnt align with what you wanted, write? How selfish can U be¿ It's no wonder the universe wantEd too get rid of you."

"Face it, Zola," Discord continued, "You're continued existence is just another Splash of Chaos on the boring Balance of Reality:"

Sora's entire body trembled, his eyes went bloodshot, and his breathing turned ragged and heavy. During this time, dark wisps surrounded Sora and an eerie sound filled the area, things Discord was quick to notice.

"I said... SHUT UP!" Sora's entire being exploded with dark energy, causing a mini-hurricane that blew back anything nearby. A pilar of darkness emerged from where Sora was standing, a pillar that could be seen for miles. Discord had to shield his eyes as the wind blew him back. When the dark energy subsided, Discord looked back to see where Sora was, only to find that the pegasus had undergone a wild transformation.

His entire body was pitch black, his fur, his mane, his clothes, everything. Even the normally brilliant keyblade that Sora held in his mouth was darkened completely. Tendrils of black flame emerged from Sora's body, giving him a threatening appearance. He hunched over, looking like a wild animal about to strike his prey. The most striking change of all were his eyes, glowing and blood red, they bore onto Discord with pure malice and hatred.

Discord reeled back after seeing this transformation, "Wait, that wasn't supposed to happen," He did not have time to comprehend as Sora lunged forward at high speeds. The dark pony slashed at Discord's stomach, surprising the chaos god as he was pushed back far. Sora was far from done. He teleported directly to Discord's position, barraging him with a furious assault of rapid swings. Each strike was a wild strike, showing no sense of restraint or discipline, only pure destructive rage.

Sora pushed Discord back. While the chaos god was trying to recover his bearings, Sora emanated dark energy before he let it burst out of his body. Next to him now was a pink wisp surrounded by black smoke. He was on Discord again, attacking more aggressively while orbs of darkness bore into him. Discord desperately teleported behind Sora, the chaos god's breathing ragged as his body was covered in cuts and bruises.

Sora jerked his head towards Discord. The dark pegasus released another pink wisp as he charged at Discord, who had no time to react as Sora beat and twisted his slivering body into submission. Sora finished his wild and aggressive assault by slamming Discord onto the ground. The trickster sputtered out whatever was in his mouth, his body beaten into disrepair as he looked up a Sora. He bore down on Discord, preparing to finish him once and for all.

"No, no please!" Discord pleaded. His cries fell on deaf ears as Sora released a third pink wisp. He dropped down on Discord, holding his keyblade in his front hooves and impaling it through Discord's chest, resulting in a scream of agony. The ground oozed in dark energy, surrounding both beings. Orbs of darkness with uncontrolled spiking energy emerged from the pool, exploding all around, tearing into Discord until he was completely vaporized.

When the darkness subsided, Sora continued to stay in his stabbing position. In a flash of darkness, Sora returned to his gray form, slumping down to the ground as his keyblade clattered unceremoniously.

"It's over," He breathed. It was dead silent, nothing changed at all. Ponyville was still turned into a tapestry of complete nonsense. Sora slowly stood back up as he let the events of the last few seconds sink in. Discord was no more. So why did this victory feel so hollow? The anger that was driving Sora was gone, what was left?

"Well, that was quite a show," Spoke a familiar, condescending voice. Sora stiffened in utter shock. He slowly turned his head to find the last being he expected to see, Discord. The chaos god looked down on Sora with that confident glare of his.

"What?"

"Congratulations, you were able too destroy me:" Discord clapped his claw and paw together mockingly, making confetti rain from the sky.

"What..?" Sora was in complete disbelief, "How's this possible?!"

Discord laughed, creating a second version of himself right next to him, "Havnt you eVer heard of making Duplicates of yourself?" Both Discords said before the fake disappeared, "'I was never worried. Did you REALY think you could Destroy me?"'

It was strange. A few seconds ago, Sora would have lunged at Discord with all motors turning. but now, all that energy seemed to have been sapped away.

"Dont feel bad. IT was a valiant effort, even if it was misguided. Eye must say, though, you were real-y cold; flat out ignoring the plights of the others," Discord twiddled with his digits with a sneer on his face. Sora widened his eyes. Thinking back, there was something obviously wrong with his pony friends, and he chose to ignore it, "And the way you pushED Twilight away—such a complete lack of respect or empathy. You decided that eliminating me was was more important than her friendship."

"NO!" Sora desperately denied, but he was not sounding very confident, "It's not like that!"

"And After the promise you made to old Sun Butt;" Discord pretended to show disappointment, ""Have You nO shamE? i dont blame U four just abandoning Friendship, though," Discord waved his paw dismissively, "lets face it, all that altruism made the Universe turn against You: You saved you're precious princess, but you disappeared; leaving her aLL lonely on that spit of land U call home."

Sora gasped in shock, his legs growing weak as he collapsed to the ground. He tried to put it out of his mind, but the current status of all his current friends were unknown to him. What did they think of him now? Were they even looking for him?

"iT'S all sinking in now; i'snt it?" Discord looked down at the shuddering Sora, "You're a failure," Looking down at Sora, Discord held out his ear on a stick, "What, No Comeback? No Sassy Remark?"

Sora breathed in hushed whispers, "I—I don't... I don't deserve..." He stopped, unable to finish his sentence. One thing was for certain: he was broken.

"Hahahaahahahhahahahahahaaa! Yes!" Discord pumped his fist in the air. He snapped his claw, leaving Sora to wallow in his despair. Discord reappeared very far away from Sora. When the chaos god was sure no one was around, he breathed a sigh of relief

"Thank goodness! I'm glad I was able to conjure up that fake in time. What in the world was that? I've never seen such raw, uncontrolled rage before," The chaos god grumbled under his breath, "That stupid kid, he thinks he's so powerful just because of his Keyblade, just like those princesses," Discord relaxed, allowing himself to relish his victory, "Oh; well; its not like he could possibly stop me anyway: HE's got a broken Heart, he,s no threat two me now. And The Element Bearers Are Out Of Commission; i'vE goT nothinG tO worrY abouT," Discord laugher manically as he decided that dogs acted like moles now.

Sora lied on the floor, unmoving, unmotivated. Discord's words stung worse than any blow he could give. That was because he was right, Sora had failed his friends and allowed rage to take over. He broke his promise to Celestia to keep the girls safe. They were giving in to darkness, and there was nothing he could do about it. He can't save them.

I feel... empty...

I don't feel anything... I'm not angry, upset, or even sad...

I have no friends left... I'm... alone...

There's... nothing left... for me...

Maybe... maybe I should just fade into darkness...

Sora felt his vision failing him. The chaotic space that was once Ponyville was becoming blurred. He started to close his lids, having no intention of opening them back up.

All he saw was a black void.

It's... Over.

There was only falling—falling into darkness.

"Sora, you don't believe that. I know you don't."

Sora's eyes shot open. That voice. He knew that voice. He would always recognize that voice.

"Giving up already? Come on, Sora, I thought you were stronger than that."

That was a taunt he knew all too well. It was always there to motivate him to do better. The wisps of darkness vanished from his body.

"You know, all for one and one for all."

All for one and one for all. That was the motto he followed in his adventures. All the places he'd seen and the people he met, the friends he made. The people he cared for. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the special wayfinder Kairi gave to him. There was more to this charm than just sentimental value. This trinket bound him to her in a special way—an oath.

"Don't ever forget, where ever you go, I'm always with you."

He did not know how to describe it, but what Sora experienced in that moment was an epiphany of intense clarity. He went through a great number of different emotions in such a short amount of time, but they all told him the same thing. Sora's colors came back to him in an instant as he began to remember his purpose.

"Yeah, that's right..." Sora muttered. Everything he knew came back to him, all of his experiences and all of the trials that he's faced. The blows he's suffered and the victories he's claimed. His mind went back to the present as he lifted himself up, seeing the dilapidated and nonsensical state of Ponyville. This was all wrong, he had let this happen, "I need to set this right," He stated with the purest conviction.

"Hearts are connected..." He uttered. It sounded like such a hallow statement, but Sora knew with one hundred percent certainty that it was true. Connections could be severed, but they could always be restored; that was another truth Sora knew. He looked deep inside himself, feeling something tugging. It felt painful. Despite the hurt, Sora smiled. He knew that he hadn't forgotten and that the bonds were still there, "I'm done feeling sorry for myself," There was no point in giving up. At times like these, it's important to stay hopeful. Sora knew this, All Sora needed was a plan. He closed his eyes, thinking intently on how to beat Discord. The difference this time was that Sora thought about those closest to him, rather than thinking purely for himself. He began to realize that his friends needed help. They had lost themselves, just as he had, "I know what I need to do."

With that, Sora set off, now with newfound determination. He had one destination in mind, because in order for his friends to be restored, he needed the help of a very special pony.
